Everybody is talking about Taylor Swift right now, even some unexpected people like Rick Ross. The pop star just released her new album The Tortured Poets Department after announcing it during the Grammys earlier this year. But in a move that surprised everyone, she released an entire second album just a few hours after the original dropped. In a tweet he made yesterday, Ross revealed that he isn’t just a fan of Swift, but a big enough fan to listen to the album right when it drops at midnight.
“Fresh out the slammer and Florida!!! Blasting on the Yacht at Midnight. Taylor writes like a Boss and her song titles are Gangsta” he said in a quote tweet of news about the album dominating the Hot 100 next week. Ross is yet to make a follow-up tweet about the surprise second album so it’s unclear if he’s heard it yet. In total Taylor shared 31 new songs which are likely to all hit the Hot 100 and take up much of the top half of the chart next week. Check out Ross’ tweet and the hilarious fan reactions to it below.
In the comments, fans react to the surprise revelation that Ross is a Swiftie. “The visual of this in my head is incredible” one fan jokes. “Ross being a Swift fan was not on my card” another agrees. Much of the news surrounding Ross recently has to do with Drake. The pair have been taking shots at each other including lyrics in Drake’s song “Push-Ups” which just finally hit streaming.
Rick Ross fired back with a diss track of his own earlier this week. Drake reportedly turned the song off after Ross’ claimed to be richer than him. What do you think of Rick Ross being a Taylor Swift fan and shouting out her new album? Are you surprised he has love for the pop star’s music and thinks she writes “like a boss?” Let us know in the comment section below.
Taylor Swift continues to be on top of the world. Overnight she released her new album The Tortured Poets Department. After weeks of teasing, the record leaked a few days in advance of its release but she had a pretty great response. Just two hours after dropping the album, she revealed that it was actually a double album and unleashed an entire second half of the project with 15 more songs. Amid a sea of Taylor discussion, Mary J Blige reacted to being compared to the biggest star in music.
The comparison came from Flavor Flav, who revealed himself to be one of the most surprising Swifties out there. He stopped by a show on her eras tour last year and then spoke about the pop star during a radio interview earlier this year. Now Blige is reacting to the comparison during a recent interview with People. “I mean, I love Taylor Swift. She sings about what’s going on in her life. It’s kind of similar because she definitely gives you a piece of a relationship in a minute and whatever she may be dealing with. And that’s just her therapy. That’s just her way of expressing herself through her song, and people relate, Blige said. Check out her full interview discussion Swift, her next album, and more below.
Blige continued discussing the comparison between her and Swift. “It’s definitely kind of the same thing. I use my music as my therapy and a way to escape, or a way to express myself and just say how I’m feeling. What else are we going to do?” she concluded.
Last year, Mary J Blige shut down rumors that she was going to do a “Verzuz” in hilarious fashion. “I could put the What’s The 411 album on and just walk away,” she said when asked about it. What do you think of Mary J Blige’s reaction to Flavor Flav comparing her to Taylor Swift? Do you agree with the two artists having similar songwriting styles? Let us know in the comment section below.
We do not typically do this sort of thing, but today we are covering some new Taylor Swift music! So, come one, come all Swifties. The Pennsylvania pop phenom has just left off her 11th album called THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT as of April 18. However, Swift stunned and most likely sent her die-hards into a frenzy when she revealed overnight that this was a “secret double album.” That is why there now two version available for streaming, with the elongated version being called THE ANTHOLOGY.
She tweeted out, “I’d written so much tortured poetry in the past 2 years and wanted to share it all with you, so here’s the second installment of TTPD: The Anthology. 15 extra songs. And now the story isn’t mine anymore… it’s all yours. As you can imagine, the Swifties are running up the streams and plays across all platforms. “Fortnight” with Post Malone is already one the album’s most tuned into tracks and for good reason. The opener has a lot of possible secret callbacks to past relationships and flings, as Genius has so astutely researched and theorized.
Listen To “Fortnight” By Taylor Swift & Post Malone
If you want a further lyrical breakdown, check out the link below. As for the song itself, “Fortnight” is a moody, soft, and smoky introduction to the LP. Jack Antonoff, one of Taylor’s most frequent producers, lays down some incredibly pretty synths that give it an 80s vibe. Post Malone chips in subtly with background vocals, but they add so much to the track. This first team-up goes over very well and it figures to be one the record’s strongest cuts.
What are your thoughts on this brand-new song “Fortnight” by Taylor Swift and Post Malone? Should they continue their work relationship moving forward, why or why not? Should Post have had more glaring contributions or did the background vocals work? How are you feeling about Swift’s new album THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT: THE ANTHOLOGY? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Taylor Swift and Post Malone. Finally, stay with us for everything else going on around the music world.
Quotable Lyrics:
And for a fortnight, there we were, forever running ‘Til you sometimes ask about the weather Now you’re in my backyard, turned into good neighbors Your wife waters flowers, I wanna kill her And for a fortnight, there we were, together running ‘Til you sometimes come and tug my sweater
In her new interview with Standard, Courtney Love had a lot to say. For starters, she doesn’t mind being the villain in someone else’s story. “People used to say that I was so difficult,” she told the UK-based outlet. “They said I was disagreeable. Yes, I am completely disagreeable and I’m never going to apologize for that. I always wanted to be known as a b**ch,” the blonde icon said. According to her, the late Kurt Cobain sought social approval, while Love couldn’t be bothered wasting her energy on such things.
The musician has been promoting her new eight-part BBC Radio 6 Music series, which follows her as she reflects on other women in the industry who have shaped her journey. Among them are Black classics like Billie Holiday and Nina Simone, though Love had plenty to say about female entertainers she’s less fond of too. “I like the idea of Beyonce doing a country record because it’s about Black women going into spaces where previously only White women have been allowed, not that I like it much. As a concept, I love it. I just don’t like her music,” the Hole frontwoman said.
Courtney Love Has Plenty to Say About Other Women in the Music Industry
Elsewhere, her comments about another modern starlet are catching major heat online. “Taylor [Swift] is not important. She might be a safe space for girls, and she’s probably the Madonna of now, but she’s not interesting as an artist,” Love declared. Of Lana Del Rey, the 59-year-old added, “I haven’t liked Lana since she covered a John Denver song, and I think she should really take seven years off. Up until ‘Take Me Home Country Roads’ I thought she was great.”
No matter how Courtney Love might feel about Beyonce’s eighth studio album, we can’t deny the impact COWBOY CARTER has had so far. While the vocalist’s first-born, Blue Ivy Carter, joined her for most of the RENAISSANCE World Tour, it was Rumi’s turn to shine on the country-based LP. Thanks to the young girl’s work, she broke a record on the Billboard Hot 100 previously set by her older sister. Read all about that at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift had quite a lot of time at Coachella this weekend. Coachella was a star-studded affair, and fans went wild when the “it” couple joined the party. Amongst the crowds and musical performances, Kelce and Swift were pictured together partaking in the iconic music festival. Travis and Taylor attended the Neon Carnival and danced to Jack Antanoffs band bleachers performance, dancing the night away. Travis was decked out in quite the Coachella fit, rocking a Happy Gilmore hat with bold striped pants. Taylor Swift was decked out in all-black.
Fans were treated to dancing and sharing intimate moments during Coachella. The couple were doing Coachella right, bouncing around to all the parties while giving fans a show. With the giant crowds and demand to see performances, even the VIPs had to get creative to see everything. That’s what Travis Kelce had in mind. The Super Bowl-winning tight End had put some of his football skills to use to help his lady out.
Travis Kelce decided he could give Taylor Swift a boost, and he did just that. Kelce Picked up the pop star pretty effortlessly. He showed off his NFL strength, and fans couldn’t believe it. It’s another lowkey viral moment from the couple who took over the NFL narrative last season. All in all, the First Coachella weekend looked like a vibe for Kelce and Swift, who didn’t mind being caught candidly by fans.
Kelce and Swift are both in the off-season, so to speak. Travis is resting up before NFL training camp starts back up, and Swift is taking a break from music. Many detractors believe the relationship is just one big promo for the couple. Here we are, one Super Bowl and Coachella outing later, and the relationship is looking like the real deal. Even if they were genuine, their relationship ended up being a big win for everyone involved. As cynical as it may have seemed to some people, Kelce and Swift have proven to be pretty genuine, even in the public eye. We should probably prepare for even more Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift appearances this summer.
Something tells me this year’s Kelce Jam will be even more popular than it was last year. On May 18, Super Bowl-winning Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce — who you might have heard is dating Taylor Swift — will throw the second annual Kelce Jam at the Azura Amphitheater in Bonner Springs, Kansas. The lineup is headlined by Lil Wayne, Diplo, and 2 Chainz.
Other highlights include Travis Kelce’s Backyard BBQ (“This oversized BBQ activation will bring Kelce Jam fans together to enjoy the best KC BBQ and delectable custom Jim Beam cocktails all in one place”); the Uncrustables Uncrustival carnival, an homage to “Travis’ favorite peanut butter and jelly sandwich”; and a special guest appearance by… never mind, she’s busy.
“Kansas City, Kelce Jam is back baby! I’m excited to once again welcome fans for the ultimate day of music, food, and an electric experience celebrating Kansas City,” Kelce said in a statement. “Last year you exceeded my expectations when over 20,000 fans showed up in the rain to ‘fight for your right to party,’ and this year promises to be even more over the top as we welcome Lil Wayne, Diplo, and 2Chainz to the stage!”
Tickets for Kelce Jam go on sale on Friday, although you can register online now. General admission tickets cost $49.99, while VIP passes start at $249.99. You can find more information here.

# new for 2024
Some artists covered here are Warner Music artists. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.
Beyoncé’s new album Cowboy Carter is out now, and while it’s the latest execution of her beloved vision, she didn’t make the project all by herself: Shaboozey, Miley Cyrus, Post Malone, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Linda Martell, and others make appearances on the album. The way some hear it, though, it sounds like Taylor Swift is involved, too.
Is Taylor Swift Featured On Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter Album?
Some reports have indicated Swift is credited on the song “Bodyguard,” citing supposed credits on both Spotify and Genius. As of this post, though, Swift does not appear to be officially credited on those platforms or others. That said, while Swift may not be credited, there’s one snippet of the song that fans point to, a brief portion that to them clearly indicates Swift sang backing vocals for the track.
Worth noting is that back in February, “a source with knowledge of the situation” told Entertainment Weekly that despite rumors, Swift is not featured on the album “in any way.” Of course, the source could have been denying the rumor to keep the truth a secret, Swift could have gotten on board with the album since then, or the source could have just been wrong.
Either way, listen to “Bodyguard” above.
Cowboy Carter is out now via Parkwood/Columbia Records. Find more information here.
Beyoncé is finally about to release her long-awaited eighth studio album, Cowboy Carter, and fans have already begun digging through the tracklist to choose their favorite sonic expressions. The album touts a staggering 26 tracks, with features such as Miley Cyrus, Post Malone, Willie Nelson, and several rising Black country stars. Still, a few notable performers are missing, who would surely have pleased fans far and wide. Since Cowboy Carter was announced, the BeyHive has been in a frenzy to debate and discover which of their favorite artists are on the genre-blending project. Here are a few artists who are absent from the album that fans would surely have enjoyed.
This one is a bit of a long shot, but if anyone knows about crossing pop-rap and country tunes together in one harmonious swing, it’s Lil Nas X. The 24-year-old rapper has made no secret of his love for Beyoncé and a crossover event between the pair would have made for a perfect viral event. Lil Nas recently tweeted, “Beyoncé finna make me put my cowboy hat back on,” following the announcement of Cowboy Carter, prompting some fans to presume the pair had been in the studio together cooking up country-style jams. Unfortunately, it seems that Lil Nas X made this statement just from a fan perspective. Still, if there were an artist to demonstrate the value of a remix, it would be Lil Nas X, so fans can still hold out hope that the “Old Town Road” rapper will appear on a Beyoncé track eventually.
Beyoncé and Megan Thee Stallion are two iconic contemporaries who represent the finest artistry that Houston has to offer. The pair previously collaborated on Meg’s “Savage” remix, with Beyoncé specifically bringing some country flare to the rap record in lyrics like “I say left cheek, right cheek, drop it low, then swang / Texas up in this thang / Put you up on this game / Ivy Park on my frame, gang gang gang gang.” The pair have reunited on stage as recently as September 2023 to perform the chart-topping remix together, leading fans to hope they had been in the studio working on more new tunes for Cowboy Carter.
3. Taylor Swift
While Taylor Swift has moved away from her country roots in recent years, the global superstar is still beloved by many country listeners. Taylor Swift and Beyoncé are two of the world’s most massive artists, each touting an incredible catalog and a base of ravenous, dedicated fans. While the pair may be too busy to combine their star power, it certainly would have been a massive moment for Taylor Swift to appear on Cowboy Carter. Unfortunately, it looks like the Swifties and the BeyHive will be battling it out for who has the bigger and better album this year instead of joining forces to celebrate the biggest cross-genre collab in recent memory.
While Jay-Z is not particularly known for producing hits within the country genre, fans would definitely have appreciated a feature on Cowboy Carter. The hip hop icon has been with Beyoncé for over 20 years, spanning a long history of chart-topping collaborations on records such as “Crazy In Love,” “03′ Bonnie & Clyde,” “Lift Off,” and “Family Feud.” Despite Jay-Z not laying vocals on the new album, his fingerprints are likely all over the project behind the scenes. After all, the album does advertise the 54-year-old’s namesake right in its title.
1. Kendrick Lamar
Kendrick Lamar seemed like an easy choice to drop a feature verse on Cowboy Carter, especially after the PGLang rapper has repeatedly referenced the Compton Cowboys and dubbed himself Cowboy Kenny in recent tracks such as “The Hillbillies” with Baby Keem. Kendrick has also recently taken to rocking cowboy boots and cowboy hats in music videos and concert stops, making him an ideal candidate for crossing over into the country genre. Furthermore, Kendrick recently collaborated with Beyoncé on her 2023 record “America Has A Problem (Remix).” The track serves as the third collaboration between the pair and sees Kendrick referring to himself as an honorary member of the BeyHive.
Travis Kelce is living the life that every couch potato Monday morning quarterback could ever dream of. He is one of the greatest to ever play his position, has back-to-back Super Bowl wins, and a successful podcast with his also Hall of Fame brother. Also, he is in a relationship with the most popular musician arguably, of all time. The younger of the Kelce duo was seen soaking up his time with girlfriendTaylor Swift, as the couple seemed to be enjoying the Bahamas.
As is the life of the rich and famous, a few photos were snapped of the power couple. Including some steamy photos that would make Momma Kelce even blush. If you are on the search for this photos, you’re in luck. Check out the link of all the photos from the Kelce-Swift vacation getaway in the tweet shared by TMZ below.
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift Seen Enjoying A Destination Getaway
Kelce seems to be enjoying his time away from the grind that is an NFL season. This past season was one of the toughest for the Kansas City star, as he had an emotional send-off for his brother Jason’s retirement from the NFL. However, that didn’t stop Jason from rooting on his brother as the Chiefs marched toward another Super Bowl victory. The oldest Kelce was seen on multiple occasions having the time of his life during the Chiefs 2024 playoff run.
Those who believed this was a planted Hollywood relationship can finally put those thoughts to bed. Kelce and Swift seem very happy in their relationship. However, celebrity love doesn’t seem to last forever. Will these two make it the distance? Let us know what you think in the comments.
