Yesterday (June 21), Prince William and gang decided to celebrate his birthday by attending the “Fortnight” singer’s The Eras Tour stop at Wembley Stadium.
Just like in Swift’s performance across the US, The Royal Family celebrated Swift’s arrival by having service people from the British Army and The Royal Corps of Army Music perform “Changing of the Guard (Taylor’s Version)” a cleverly named cover of Swift’s hit song “Shake It Off.”

Although summertime is often associated with festival season, there are also plenty of artists doing their own tours. Those artists may have some festival appearances scattered throughout their itineraries, but the sunny weather is a solid incentive to open up the outdoor amphitheaters and arenas for some memorable live music, fest or not. From Missy Elliott’s first-ever headlining tour to the indie-rock fan’s dream combo of The National and The War On Drugs, check out the most anticipated summer concert tours of 2024.
21 Savage
The London-born, Atlanta-bred rapper 21 Savage has been touring North America since May 1, but he has several arena and amphitheater dates left on the American Dream Tour. That includes stops in Southern cities like Tampa, West Palm Beach, Birmingham, and, of course, Atlanta. He’ll be joined by J.I.D, Nardo Wick, and 21 Lil Harold.
Over the years, Big Thief has become one of the most known names in contemporary indie rock. Frontwoman Adrianne Lenker, as her tour agenda showcases, has become wildly popular in her own right. Following her recent solo album, the sparse, somber Bright Future, Lenker brings opening act Twain along for a slew of dates, many of which are sold out, starting June 9 in Austin.
Bryson Tiller
Louisville vocalist and songwriter Bryson Tiller recently released his self-titled album back in April. He is currently touring behind it, and it continues through nearly all of June. Along the way, Tiller will make stops in cities like Nashville, Minneapolis, New York, Atlanta, and more.
Since her 2022 debut album, the dark, sprawling Preacher’s Daughter, Ethel Cain has steadily ascended through the ranks to become a pillar of indie-pop. Cain has hinted at new music here and there, but for now, she’s going to keep touring. That resumes with a North American tour this month following a slate of European dates. Her new schedule includes appearances at Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Summerfest, Hinterland, and others.
Future / Metro Boomin
We Still Don’t Trust You unwittingly became the catalyst for the most fruitful hip-hop beef in recent memory when Kendrick Lamar dissed Drake and J. Cole during his guest verse on “Like That.” Future and Metro Boomin themselves have mostly stayed out of it — relatively, at least. After all, they do have a massive tour to focus on. The duo kicks things off in Kansas City on July 30 and wraps it up in Vancouver on Sept. 9.
Green Day
The Saviors Tour will travel across the globe, in which Bay Area pop-punk trio Green Day will perform their most iconic albums, 1994’s Dookie and 2004’s American Idiot, in full to respectively celebrate their 30th and 20th anniversaries. For select dates, they’ll bring along Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid, and The Linda Lindas.
Gunna
Gunna is a fixture of Atlanta rap, and he’s taking that idiosyncratic ATL style all over North America plus a small handful of European dates for The Bittersweet Tour. With opener Flo Milli, the YSL affiliate will visit cities like Miami, Orlando, and, obviously, Atlanta.
Janet Jackson
The queen of new jack swing, Janet Jackson, will embark on a large North American tour starting June 4 in Palm Desert, California. For last year’s tour, she brought Ludacris along as her opener, and this year, she’s bringing St. Louis rapper Nelly. The Together Again Tour will make stops in Anaheim, Salt Lake City, Denver, St. Paul, and plenty more cities.
Jhené Aiko
Jhené Aiko announces tour dates for ‘The Magic Hour Tour.’
From the middle of June to the end of August, Los Angeles R&B mainstay Jhené Aiko will tour North American arenas with openers Coi Leray, Tink, and Umi in tow. It kicks off at Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena on June 19 and wraps up at Columbus’ Nationwide Arena on Aug. 22.
Justin Timberlake
Earlier this year, Justin Timberlake released Everything I Thought It Was, his first studio album since 2018’s folk-tinged Man Of The Woods. To promote the new record, he’s currently on The Forget Tomorrow World Tour. It includes stops in cities like Tulsa, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, and many more.
Khruangbin
The Houston instrumental trio Khruangbin recently released A LA SALA, an album that leans into the group’s psych-pop proclivities. They’re touring behind it all summer in both Europe and North America, and joining them will be openers Arooj Aftab, Men I Trust, John Carroll Kirby, and Peter Cat Recording Co.
Lizzy McAlpine
Back in April, singer and songwriter Lizzy McAlpine released her third studio album, Older. She’s celebrating its release with a summer tour that takes her all the way from Washington, D.C. to Sydney, Australia and back to the States. McAlpine has a busy summer ahead of her, but that gives you plenty of chances to catch her show.
Megan Thee Stallion
Houston rapper Megan Thee Stallion is bringing the Hot Girl Summer Tour all over the globe. It’s currently underway, having stopped at cities like Minneapolis and Baltimore and will soon head to places like New Orleans, Dallas, and Meg’s very own Houston. Joining her will be Memphis rapper GloRilla.
It’s hard to believe that someone as influential as Missy Elliott has never done her own headlining tour before. That is, until now. Alongside friends like Busta Rhymes, Timbaland, and Ciara, The Out Of This World Tour will start on July 4 in Vancouver and conclude on Aug. 22 in Rosemont, Illinois, right near the Chicago O’Hare International Airport. This is certainly a show you won’t want to miss.
Mitski
Having wrapped up a slew of European dates, Mitski is headed back to the States in August to tour behind last year’s excellent The Land Is Inhospitable And So Are We. She’ll usually be doing multiple nights at sizable theaters, such as three nights at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre and two nights at Detroit’s Masonic Temple Theatre. Joining her will be openers Arlo Parks, Lamp, Laufey, Alvvays, Wyatt Flores, Sharon Van Etten, and Sierra Ferrell, depending on the date.
Odesza
Odesza is a go-to festival headliner for many booking agents, and it’s easy to understand why. Their seismic strain of EDM is perfect for big fields and arenas alike. They embark on The Last Goodbye Finale Tour with openers Big Boi, Bob Moses, and more in tow, performing multiple nights at Los Angeles’ BMO Stadium, Berkeley’s Greek Theatre, and NYC’s Madison Square Garden along the way, as well as a hometown-adjacent run at The Gorge.
Olivia Rodrigo
If you managed to secure tickets to Olivia Rodrigo’s highly anticipated arena tour for her sophomore album, Guts, then count yourself lucky, as it’s completely sold out. She’ll spend June touring Europe before she returns to the U.S. with drum and bass/indie pop enthusiast PinkPantheress in July.
Pearl Jam
Eddie Vedder and co. have just released Dark Matter, their first album since 2020’s ill-timed Gigaton. To support the new record, they’ll perform all across the globe; the tour has currently taken them to Europe, and they’ll head back to the U.S. toward the end of August with opener Glen Hansard.
Mexican star Peso Pluma is headed to the United States later this month for a string of arena shows and festival appearances. The Exodo Tour will take him to Governors Ball in New York as well as his own shows in cities like Tampa, Oklahoma City, Houston, Kansas City, Omaha, and plenty more.
St. Vincent
In late April, Annie Clark released her latest album as St. Vincent, the entirely self-produced All Born Screaming. After a brief stint in Europe with Heartworms, she’ll tour all over the States with openers Yves Tumor, Dorian Electra, Spoon, and Eartheater for select dates.
Tate McRae
Canadian pop artist Tate McRae will take the world tour for her most recent album, Think Later, to North America starting this July. She’ll be performing in various amphitheaters with opening act Presley Regier. Her latest string of dates kicks off in her hometown of Calgary on July 5 and wraps up in New York on Aug. 22.
Taylor Swift
Cultural behemoth Taylor Swift is ready to stimulate some more local economies. The Eras Tour continues through Europe with openers Paramore all the way through late August. Fresh off the release of the messy, sprawling The Tortured Poets Department, 2024’s iteration of the tour now merges the Folklore and Evermore eras into one. But it also features a new set solely dedicated to TTPD.
The National / The War On Drugs
Indie dads rejoice! The National and The War On Drugs, as you’d expect, have a lot of overlap in terms of fandom. They’re both massive, beloved indie rock groups that always put on a spectacular show. Their co-headlining tour, dubbed the Zen Diagram Tour, will take them all over North American amphitheaters this September. Joining them is opener Lucius. Ahead of that, The National have a ton of dates this summer as they weave across Europe.
The Rolling Stones
Last year, The Rolling Stones put out their first studio album in seven years, Hackney Diamonds. Although it won’t be the same without core drummer Charlie Watts, Mick Jagger and the gang still put on an excellent show. They’ll tour all over stadiums, including stops in Chicago, Atlanta, Denver, and more.
Tomorrow X Together
K-pop boy band Tomorrow X Together have a few more tour dates left to play this summer. Whereas May took them primarily to cities on the West Coast, such as Los Angeles, Tacoma, and Oakland, this month’s stops include Rosemont, Washington D.C., and New York City.
Usher
As this year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show demonstrated, Usher is a one-of-a-kind performer. Now that he has finished his Las Vegas residency, he’ll kick off a run of sold-out arena dates starting with three nights in his hometown, Atlanta, on Aug. 14. It’ll run all the way through the end of November, with the three final U.S. dates in Houston.
Vampire Weekend
Following a few festival sets in May, indie-rock outfit Vampire Weekend will play North American arenas and outdoor theaters all summer long. Touring their latest album, Only God Was Above Us, Vampire Weekend will take Ra Ra Riot, Cults, Mike Gordon, La Lom, and Christone “Kingfish” Ingram on the road before heading to Europe in December.
Zach Bryan
Zach Bryan has quickly risen to fame as one of the most popular new left-of-center country artists. To capitalize on that quick ascendance, the Okalahoman alt-country songwriter will tour North American arenas for the rest of 2024. The Quittin Time Tour includes openers Sheryl Crow, Jason Isbell And The 400 Unit, Turnpike Troubadours, Sierra Ferrell, The Middle East, Levi Turner, and Matt Maeson.
It seems like Travis Kelce is going solo to the Chiefs’ White House bash. In a video that Kansas City just uploaded, he may be seen boarding a bus to 1600 Penn Avenue without seeing Taylor Swift. Joe Biden was scheduled to recognize Kelce, Patrick Mahomes, and the other 2023 Super Bowl victors this afternoon. Many had questioned if the K.C. tight end’s well-known girlfriend would attend. Ultimately, she’s taking a little vacation from her “Eras” tour dates, and according to White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, every Taylor Swift fan in the office was definitely hoping to see her. However, it looks like the pop sensation is sticking overseas for the time being.
Travis Kelce was photographed traveling solo dolo as he boarded the team’s vehicle. The tight end was looking good in a tan suit and black tie. Of course, there’s still a chance that Taylor might make it there. Since none of the Chiefs seemed to be traveling with their significant others on the bus earlier on Friday, it is absolutely feasible that she took a different route to go to the President’s residence.
Travis Kelce Visits White House Without Taylor Swift
Joe Biden, in a moment of honor, will present the Chiefs with an award for their thrilling overtime victory against the San Francisco 49ers during the Super Bowl in Las Vegas in February. The head coach, Andy Reid, and the star players, Mahomes and Travis Kelce, all looked dapper in their suits. As they disembarked from the aircraft, Rashee Rice and Wanya Morris, who had also faced legal issues this summer, shared a photo together. This event marks another instance of the long-standing tradition of professional and collegiate championship sports teams being welcomed to the White House.
In the last five years, the Chiefs have won three Super Bowls. Travis Kelce and company defeated Jill Biden’s favorite football club, the Philadelphia Eagles, in 2023. She went to the game and was raised close to Philadelphia. Overall it’s par the course for the Super Bowl Champions ot make a White House Visit. All in all, it’s not surprising Taylor Swift did not show up. She would have taken away the shine form the deserving guests.
Rapper Ice Spice shared an image on Instagram showing herself, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift having fun at an event. With an apparent reference to Swift’s song’s modified lyrics and maybe a celebration of the couple’s public relationship announcement, the story’s caption reads, “Happy Karma Day.” From the perspective of fans and the media, Ice Spice’s new photo is a noteworthy public affirmation of their relationship, solidifying their bond. The trio’s depiction of having fun together at a party shows that they are a close-knit bunch, with Ice Spice appearing to be celebrating their pleasure.
This linguistic alteration occurred during Swift’s global “Eras” tour, sparking rumors regarding her connection with Kelce. When this occurred, Kelce was there to support her, having flown to South America during Kansas City’s bye week. His expression showed amazement, delight, and embarrassment. Ice Spice is really solidifying her relationship with Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. Spice and Swift seem to be cooking up more collabs as well as just generally hanging out together.
Ice Spice’s “Karma (Remix)” collaborator Taylor Swift was seen supporting her from the audience during her Coachella performance. She attended the show with her Travis Kelce, and the two had a great time. While they were working on “Karma” in the studio together, Ice Spice claims that Taylor Swift gave her some wise counsel that she will never forget. In a recent interview with Billboard, she shared the lessons the legendary singer taught her. Spice and T-Swift are fast friends and have performed together as well as had fun at the Super Bowl together.
“When I was in the studio with Taylor, like, I’ll never forget that. She told me, ‘No matter what, just keep making music, and everything’s going to be fine.,” Spice recalled. It seems Ice and Swift have been linked at the hip. Their relationship appears to have sprung up after Taylor Swift’s last boyfriend, Matt Healy, made insensitive and racist remarks toward Ice in an interview. Overall, it’s good PR, and Ice Spice is sure to benefit significantly from the relationship.
Some seemingly innocuous comments from Billie Eilish have started yet another war among the die hard pop fandoms following the genre’s biggest artists. Eilish is fresh off the release of her third studio album HIT ME HARD AND SOFT which dropped last week. The project arrived after a relatively short rollout receiving no pre-release singles and being officially announced just a few weeks before it was released. The record is expected to trail just behind Taylor’s new album The Tortured Poets Department for the top spot on the Billboard 200 this week, which already had members of both fan bases at each others necks.
Billie may have inflamed that discussion with a recent comment she made. During an interview with Stationhead Radio she was asked about doing a “3 hour concert” on her upcoming tour and didn’t seem to love the idea. “”Doing a 3 hour show.. That’s literally psychotic. Nobody wants that. You guys don’t want that. I don’t want that. I don’t even want that as a fan. Even my favorite artists I’m not trying to hear them for 3 hours. That’s far too long. That’s literally psychotic,” she says in the interview. Unsurprisingly, Swifties interpreted that as an attack. Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour dominated headlines last year as she took a robust collection of her songs on the road. It’s not hard to see why fans interpreted Billie’s words the way they did. Check out the actual interview clip below.
During a different recent interview, Billie was actually praising Taylor. She shouted out both her and Beyonce for their massive stadium tours last year. She claimed that she found it difficult playing in stadiums and doing shows as long as the Renaissance and Eras tours.
What do you think of Billie Eilish’s claim that putting on a concert for 3 hours is “literally psychotic?” Do you think her comments are directed at Taylor Swift, Beyonce, or any artist in particular, or merely just her own observations? Let us know in the comment section below.
The diss tracks from Kendrick Lamar and Drake’s beef have been extraordinarily successful. Both “euphoria” and “Push Ups” have spent multiple weeks in the top 20 of the Hot 100 with the former jumping up to a new peak of number 3 this week. But that’s just the beginning of the story. This week three new songs, two from Kendrick and one from Drake all debuted inside the top 15 of the singles chart. Even within the already heightened achievements of the beef though, Kendrick’s “Not Like Us” is lapping the field.
“Not Like Us” debuted at number one on the Hot 100 and didn’t even need a full week to do it. The track grabbed the top spot with only five days of tracking its streams and plays, compared to a full seven days for most of its competition. The album is also breaking streaming records left and right. It broke Drake’s own record for the most streams of a rap song on Spotify in a single day previously held by his Lil Baby collab “Girls Want Girls.” Now the song has reached an even more impressive milestone after a full week on the platform. It’s officially the most-streamed song in any single week this decade so far, surpasing Taylor Swift and Post Malone’s “Fortnite” from earlier this year and Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s “WAP” which held the record since 2020.
Kendrick Lamar’s Diss Track Breaks Even More Records
“Not Like Us” is the second number one hit to spawn from the beef so far. The Future & Metro Boomin song “Like That” which formally kicked the beef off dropped back in March. It went on to debut at the top spot on the Hot 100 where it spent 3 weeks. The track is still inside the top 10 of the chart this week.
What do you think of Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” breaking the record for most streams in a single week by any song this decade? Are you surprise that the record was held by Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s “WAP” until earlier this year? Let us know in the comment section below.
During Benedictine College’s graduation ceremony, kicker Harrison Butker of the Kansas City Chiefs gave a divisive speech that caused a stir on social media. Speaking at the event on May 11, he decried a number of “diabolical lies told to women,” including surrogacy, IVF, abortion, and President Joe Biden. His speech has been described as fringe and dangerous rhetoric disguised as profound observations. Now Butker is under fire for delivering a sexist, anti-LGBTQIA+ commencement speech that even quoted his teammate Travis Kelce’s girlfriend,Taylor Swift.
During his 20-minute speech on Saturday at Benedictine College’s graduation ceremony, he attacked working women, Pride Month, abortion, and other problems. This caused a quick outrage on social media, and rightfully so. “It is safe to say that over the years, I have gained quite the reputation for speaking my mind,” Butker acknowledged before diving into his speech, where he went after various important topics concerning vulnerable groups and President Biden’s “bad policies and poor leadership.” The speech was instantly discussed and has caused quite a controversy around Butker and the Chiefs.
Harrison Butker continued his speech, saying, “Things like abortion, IVF, surrogacy, euthanasia as well as a growing support for degenerate cultural values and media all stem from the pervasiveness of disorder.” Butker bemoaned to graduates of the private Catholic institution in Atchison, Kansas, that LGBT people had a “full month dedicated” to their rights, using Pride Month as an example of “the deadly sins” taught in the church. The athlete then told the female audience members that being a homemaker should be their most important role in life. Butker advised the male graduates of the institution to “fight against the cultural emasculation of men” and “be unapologetic in your masculinity.”
The three-time Super Bowl champion said to the crowd, “As my teammate’s girlfriend says, ‘Familiarity breeds contempt,’” using a line from Swift’s 2022 song “Bejeweled.” Everyone from regular Twitter users to Chiefs fans to Taylor Swift fans and countless others quickly slammed Butker for his wild remarks. Overall, this might cause a problem for the Chiefs. The NFL doesn’t want its players talking politics at all, so if they make a special exception for Butker, then it sends a bad message.
Every week, Billboard unveils the top 10 songs on the latest Hot 100 chart. The most recent rankings, for the chart dated May 11, are out now, so let’s run down who had this week’s biggest hits.
10. Taylor Swift — “Down Bad”
Last week, Taylor Swift had the top 14 songs on the Hot 100. She’s cooled off a bit this week, with only three songs in the top 10, including “Down Bad.”
9. Taylor Swift — “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart”
“I Can Do It With A Broken Heart” is one of the other two to survive in the region from Week 1 to 2. It’s the album’s second-most streamed song on Spotify so far with over 117 million plays.
8. Future, Metro Boomin, and Kendrick Lamar — “Like That”
Kendrick Lamar has released what feels like a thousand Drake diss tracks since “Like That,” but this one is still going strong in the top 10 this week. This is one of many songs returning to the top 10 this week following Swift’s dominant frame.
7. Hozier — “Too Sweet”
“Too Sweet” is officially the biggest song of Hozier’s career, as it topped the Hot 100 for a week in April. It’s no longer at No. 1 but it’s sticking around at No. 7 this week.
6. Teddy Swims — “Lose Control”
Swims hasn’t lost control has his breakout hit, a former No. 1, remains near the top of the Hot 100 chart.
5. Benson Boone — “Beautiful Things”
Boone’s “Beautiful Things” was the biggest non-Swift song on last week’s Hot 100, a status it didn’t manage to maintain this week thanks to some milestone achievements from other artists.
4. Sabrina Carpenter — “Espresso”
It’s starting to feel like the summer of Sabrina. After Carpenter’s “Espresso” became her first top-10 Hot 100 hit in April, it’s now her first top-5 song with its No. 4 placement this week. Between Swift and Carpenter, songs from performers on The Eras Tour make up four of the top 10 songs.
3. Shaboozey — “A Bar Song (Tipsy)”
Shaboozey has been blowing up since landing an appearance on Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter album. His own “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” has become a hit in its own right and is now his first top-10 song on the Hot 100.
Despite all the impressive newcomers, it’s a pair of familiar faces occupying the top spot this week. Swift and Malone’s The Tortured Poets Department single debuted at No. 1 last week, and now it has held onto its place for a second frame.
This week’s top 10 on the #Hot100 (chart dated May 11, 2024). Tommy Richman and Shaboozey score their first top 10 hits, and Sabrina Carpenter reaches the top 5 for the first time.
