Jalen Hurts Or Dak Prescott? Stephen A. Smith Picks Which QB He Has More Faith In

Stephen A. Smith didn’t pass up an opportunity to dunk on the Cowboys when Mina Kimes stopped by First Take today. After Kimes posed the question of whether the desk had more faith in Jalen Hurts or Dak Prescott, Smith was quick to answer. “Jalen Hurts got Saquon. Jalen Hurts got an offensive line that I would absolutely say is better than the Cowboys. I don’t see any reason why I would pick Dak over Hurts in this particular question,” Smith reasoned.

The Eagles and Cowboys really have been the tale of two offseasons this year. As Smith mentioned, the Eagles added a number RB1 in Saquon Barkley. Despite losing Jason Kelce to retirement, the team still has a premier offensive line. Meanwhile, the Cowboys have added Eric Kendricks, Jourdan Lewis, and made some depth re-signings.

Stephen A. Smith Or Barack Obama? ESPN Host Reveals If He Thinks He Could Beat The Former President In A One-On-One Basketball Game

Elsewhere, Smith believes that he could beat President Barack Obama in a one-on-one basketball game, as long as he had prep time. “It depends. If we’re talking about Stephen A. right now, Barack Obama is going to smoke me because I got bad knees. But give me a week, and make sure my knees are healthy, and I would take him out. I’d beat him. I’d beat Barack Obama, say 21-7. It would be a romp. I love the President, I voted for him twice. I love the First Family and he can shoot but he doesn’t look like he’s accustomed to resistance. I’m gonna get his face, get on that left hand, not let him shoot. He’s gonna have to go low, take the ball to the hole,” Smith explained.

Of course, both Smith and Obama are avid basketball fans, although Smith backs the Knicks while Obama roots for his hometown Bulls. Furthermore, Obama was regularly seen shooting hoops at various events, as well as at the regulation-size court on the grounds of the White House. Meanwhile, Smith admitted in his answer that he only plays basketball “once every two or three years”. Who are you taking in a first-to-21 competition? Let us know in the comments.

Stephen A. Smith Wants Anthony Edwards To Step Up In Wake Of KAT Injury

Stephen A. Smith has said that it’s Anthony Edwards’ “moment” after his Timberwolves’ teammate Karl-Anthony Towns was shut down for the season. Edwards, the first-overall pick in 2020, is averaging 26.4/5.2/5.1 this season. If the Wolves are to continue their historic season, Edwards is going to need to carry the load down the stretch. The Timberwolves are 44-19 and first in the Western Conference.

However, Edwards is already someone that Towns himself thinks is destined for greatness. “It brings a smile to all of our faces. He’s one of the top players in the NBA right now. And when you mix that in with his charisma and the personality he has, that’s a huge boost,” Towns explained on First Take. Edwards is coming off the second All-Star nod of his career and is only going to get better as he continues to improve. Towns also called Edwards “the next face of the NBA“.

Stephen A. Smith Hypes Biggie As The JAY-Z Who Never Was

Elsewhere, Smith showed love for Biggie in a recent interview, stating that the rapper would have been as big as JAY-Z if not for his murder. “If Biggie were alive today, I think he could be Hov. I’m not sure though, but I will tell you that his lyrics, along with his music, the sound of it. I would say to you I gotta give it to Biggie,” Smith told the Connect The Dots podcast.

However, when it came to his final ranking of rappers, Smith backed his close friend, Hov. “I have to go with JAY-Z. I personally think he’s the greatest. Biggie was something special, make no mistake about it, rapping about what he knows. JAY-Z knows more. Jay is more seasoned, so he had more to say. Even though Biggie spectacular, Nas is spectacular, Eminem is spectacular, LL [Cool J], DMX, all of them, spectacular. But, there’s only one Hov, bro. He has proven that through the test of time, with everything he’s done,” Smith said.

Stephen A. Smith Allegedly Bans Pat McAfee From “First Take” After Recent Confrontation

Gossip outlets are reporting that Stephen A. Smith has “banned” Pat McAfee from appearing on First Take after the pair recently feuded. It’s unclear what the argument was about or how it led to Stephen A. placing a block on McAfee crossing over to First Take. The Pat McAfee Show, which joined ESPN last year, airs immediately after First Take on weekday afternoons.

However, some outlets have attributed the argument to “creative differences”. This could suggest that the two butted heads about their respective approaches to sports punditry. This remains a developing story and could be addressed by either side in the coming days. If Stephen A. addresses the rumors, it could come on The Stephen A. Smith Show, as he did with his feud with Lonzo Ball.

Stephen A. Smith Goes Off On Hilarious Rant About Hot Dogs

Of course, the Q&A section on The Stephen A. Smith Show has quickly become a fan favorite, largely due to the sheer amount of weird questions Smith is willing to answer. Last week, the ESPN host was asked what he was putting on a standard hot dog if he wasn’t allowed to put mayonnaise on it. “That’s easy – ketchup and mustard. What’s wrong with that? Ketchup and mustard. Very very simple to me. It’s ketchup and mustard. Why wouldn’t I put ketchup and mustard on this? I’m tryna figure out why the hell mayo would be on this. Now that’s just nasty. I think the only thing nastier than this is the person I saw literally eating a spoon of mayonnaise. Now that’s disgusting,” Smith said.

Ketchup and mustard are of course the safe choice for hot dog toppings outside of regional variants. However, a 2021 survey from the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council found that 19% of Americans put mayo on their hot dogs. What’s your go-to hot dog configuration? Let us know in the comments.

Stephen A Smith Lights Twitter On Fire After Suggesting Klay Thompson & Draymond Green Deserve Statues

If you are looking for an entertaining debate about sports, then look no further than ESPN‘s First Take. The show is always providing hilarious and sometimes heated back-and-forth shouting matches. That is thanks in large part to longtime sports media figure Stephen A. Smith. The topic that is breaking the internet this time involves his signature Stephen’s A-List segment where the list is always “fluid.” JJ Redick and Shannon Sharpe were in on it as well as the trio dissected his top five NBA players that deserve to be immortalized outside of their respective arenas. Stephen A. made the statement that Golden State Warriors Klay Thompson and Draymond Green need statues when they eventually retire.

This debate was sparked due to Kendrick Perkins comments during the halftime show for the Lakers versus Nuggets game. That would be the night in which LeBron James reached 40,000 points. JJ and Sharpe would go on to disagree with the list, saying players like Kawhi Leonard, Nikola Jokic, and Kevin Durant deserved to be on the list instead. However, Twitter is a tizzy more so due to the fact that Stephen A. said Klay and Draymond deserve statues, the two Warriors that helped Steph Curry win four rings.

Stephen A.’s Statue Argument For The Warriors Stars Has Fans Divided

One person claims that people do not know basketball if they disagree with SA. “The fact that there are mfs in this comment section that seriously believe Klay and Draymond shouldn’t get statues is the reason i can’t talk ball with half of y’all on here.” It looks like one other hoop fanatic will not be getting talked to, because he has the total opposite opinion. “This has been Klay and Draymond legacy for the past 4 seasons.” His tweet includes a meme of Steph asking for help after scoring so many points, while Klay and the others say, “Shoot that s*** Steph!” Hilariously, Draymond is looking to pick fights, “Lollll imma punch somebody.”

What are your thoughts on Stephen A. Smith’s take on the Warriors’ Klay Thompson and Draymond deserving statues outside of their arena? Do you think that Stephen Curry would have been able to be this successful without them? Is Smith’s list an “A-List,” why or why not? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Stephen A. Smith and First Take. Finally, stay with us for everything else going on around the world of sports.

JAY-Z Called Up Stephen A. Smith Over His Viral Rihanna & Beyonce Comparison

JAY-Z called up Stephen A. Smith to reprimand him for pitting Rihanna against Beyonce in a viral debate, last year. Ahead of Rihanna’s appearance at the Super Bowl Halftime Show, he argued that she’s not as good of an artist as Beyonce. Reflecting on the drama during an appearance on the Connect the Dots podcast, the ESPN host revealed that he spoke with JAY-Z afterward.

“I love Rihanna. I bought her album, she gets my money. Mad love for her, wish her nothing but the best … But you do know there’s only one Beyonce,” Smith began, reiterating his comments. “A month later, Hov and I were on the phone. Hov was like, ‘My dawg, you family, that’s family. That’s too close to say that.’ I said, ‘I didn’t know.’ He said, ‘I know.’ Done! In other words, it’s a business, it’s a part of it, you don’t know how she’ll receive it, etc. etc. etc. That’s all he had to say. I appreciated that.”

As for his original remarks, he argued: “There’s one thing she’s not, she ain’t Beyonce. The only reason I brought up Beyonce is because Beyonce recently performed at the Super Bowl.” After facing backlash, he eventually apologized on social media. “I just got out of First Take and I saw some headline that’s circulating all over the place about my quote that Rihanna ain’t Beyonce. See, I’m gonna own it. I know what y’all tryna do but I’m gon’ own it because I get paid to speak for a living so I need to be more careful.”

Stephen A. Smith For President? Charles Barkley Is On Board

Meanwhile, Charles Barkley has endorsed Stephen A. Smith for President. “Let me tell you why [I’d vote for you]. Because I know you don’t have an evil bone in your body and I don’t think you have an agenda. That’s all I want. Even if you vote for somebody, you’re not gonna agree on every subject,” Barkley told Smith during an appearance on The Stephen A. Smith Show. Furthermore, Barkley also said he’d prefer to see the Democrats nominate California Governor Gavin Newsom instead of President Biden.

However, the moment comes after Barkley openly endorsed GOP long-shot Nikki Haley on his show with Gayle King last week. Barkley said he was putting his “whole heart” behind Haley before giving her an open platform to address her previous comments in which she stated that America was “never a racist country.” The latter decision led to a lot of backlash against both Barkley and Haley.

Mad Dog’s “Hardest Sports To Play” Rant Puts Stephen A. Smith On The Floor: Watch

Mad Dog caused chaos on First Take when he dedicated his weekly rant to the “hardest sports to play”. After Stephen A. Smith roasted Mad Dog for his low-energy presentation, Mad Dog put Smith on the ground when he revealed that No. 4 on the list was “curling”. As Smith lay on the ground in disbelief, Molly Qerim threatened to call Mad Dog’s wife to confirm that he had “curled” in the past.

The rest of Mad Dog’s list was also pretty wild. His top three were baseball, golf, and tennis. Football was found at No. 5 while basketball wasn’t present at all. Fans found the list hilarious, if a little silly. However, this is just some classic work from Mad Dog and his wild weekly ravings on the hit ESPN show. What do you think about Mad Dog’s list? New Orleans Pelicans Shade Stephen A. Smith After Latest Zion Williamson Comments

Barkley said he would vote for Smith as long as the ESPN personality didn’t have a “hidden agenda”. However, Smith has been getting a lot of hate for his anti-Zion Williamson agenda. The New Orleans Pelicans took shots at Stephen A. Smith after the ESPN personality went on yet another rant about team star Zion Williamson. The team’s official X account posted a graphic showing Smith’s dismal college stats of 1.5 points and 1 assist a game.

Appearing on Get Up! last week, Smith had once again gone after Williamson’s weight. “Zion Williamson, it’s not about his game. It’s about how many burgers he’s eating. Whether or not he is going to be in shape or keep eating McDonald’s and have chefs clamoring for him to come to their restaurants. That’s what he has to prove, that the chefs don’t love him any longer. That he’s committed to playing basketball and being in shape,” Smith said as the Pelicans prepared to face the Heat. Williamson, who was listed as a game-time decision due to a foot injury but did play. Before the game, he was averaging 22.5/5.4/4.9 this season. He is shooting a league 12th-best 58.5% from the field.

Stephen A. Smith Feuds With JJ Redick

Meanwhile, it’s not just the Pelicans who have it out for Smith right now. Stephen A. Smith and JJ Redick once butted again butted heads on First Take as Redick lamented that NBA fans “don’t want to be educated.” “I can do a video on my podcast where I break down the last nine games the Pelicans have used Zion Williamson as the primary ballhandler… 54,000 views on YouTube. But I wanna call out a coach yesterday. Oh, that gets tens of millions of engagements. That’s the ecosystem we live in. So do fans actually want to be educated or not?” Redick ranted.

The argument stemmed from a debate about Kevin Durant voicing his frustrations that he didn’t get credit as a team leader. While Redick believed the lack of credit was warranted, Smith vehemently disagreed, The spearhead of First Take got more and more heated, especially after Redick went after Mad Dog for weighing in. “That is a Hall of Famer, JJ. That is a Hall of Famer for media who has been covering sports for 40+ years that you are sitting across from,” Smith fired back at Redick.
