Snoop Dogg Pokes Fun At Weed-Quitting Hoax With Iconic “Friday” Reference

Earlier this month, Snoop Dogg took to social media to announce his plans to “give up smoke” for good. While he didn’t provide many more details, users assumed that he had decided to stop smoking weed. The cultural icon is known to be a heavy cannabis consumer, so of course, fans were shocked. Snoop leaned into the chatter, subsequently sharing a variety of Instagram posts hinting that he was going through it amid the quitting process.

While surprising, Snoop Dogg’s announcement managed to inspire some of his peers to do the same. Coi Leray, for example, revealed that she’ll also be quitting marijuana this month. Meek Mill even chimed in, claiming that he’s kicking the habit as well, in hopes of mitigating health problems. In a turn of events, however, Snoop eventually revealed that the entire thing was a hoax. In reality, he hadn’t quit smoking weed at all, and was simply endorsing Solo Stove smokeless firepits.

“Announcement: I’m giving up smoke,” an ad later posted on his Instagram page reads. “I know what you thinking — ‘Snoop, smoking’s kind of your whole thing.’ But I’m done with it. Done with the coughing and my clothes smelling all sticky-icky. I’m going smokeless.” He went on to share a black-and-white photo of a blunt in his hand, confirming that he was only trolling everybody. He then posted a clip from Friday, which features his own face deepfaked onto Chris Tucker’s character Smokey. “I was just bullsh*ttin’! And you know this, man!” he says.

Drake Allegedly Ghosted TikTok Star Meals By Cugine

Drake is someone who is very busy and always has a lot on his plate. Overall, he just got off of a very popular tour. Furthermore, he is going back out on tour next year with J. Cole. He dropped For All The Dogs last month and he was even able to come through with a project last Friday. This six-song EP is called Scary Hours 3 and contains some amazing tracks. At this stage, Drizzy is just elevating his cache, and fans are excited to see his next chapter, whenever that may be.

Of course, these are the things that make him a busy man. Unfortunately, he does not have time for everyone. Sometimes, he may even make commitments or some plans, only for them to fall through. At the end of the day, this is normal. Plans change all the time and when you are a busy person, your commitments are always going to fluctuate. Unfortunately, a TikTok star named Danny Mondello, otherwise known as Meals By Cugine, learned this the hard way.

While appearing a game show called “Rent Free,” Mondello revealed how he was talking to Drake in his Instagram DMs. Drizzy wanted to recommend a restaurant in Toronto called Sotto Sotto. The TikToker took this as a sign that Drake actually wanted to collaborate or even just have a meal together. However, the man says he was left on read in the end. Perhaps there was a breakdown in communication here. Simply, maybe Drake wanted to give a recommendation and just leave it at that.

Ralo Blocked From Social Media, His Team Announces

Ralo’s recent release from jail after a multi-year sentence gave him much reason to celebrate with his loved ones this month. However, that’s by no means to say that he still doesn’t face challenges in this return to regular life, especially when it relates to his career and connection with fans. Moreover, the rapper’s team announced that folks in charge of what’s assumedly his post-prison reformative program restricted all of his social media platforms. That means that he won’t be able to engage with fans on the Internet, and that his team is managing things right now. Ironically, via an Instagram post, the 32-year-old’s entourage let his followers know they’re working hard to connect him back to them.

“We thought that we would be able to welcome Ralo home in peace. But he has been restricted from all social media platforms until he completes his program,” the post reads. “Please know that we are getting these matters resolved at this very moment, so he can do his BIGG one. We will continue to post and engage with everyone that’s supporting Ralo ‘First Day Out‘ video and single. We will install over 100 billboards across the country [and] over 10 thousand posters. [We’ll] push his single in every club and radio station. His first welcome home party will be held in Atlanta at the Josephine Lounge. Please stay tuned for all other dates… #WelcomeHome.”

Furthermore, seemingly before this restriction, Ralo let folks know that his return to the rap game has been a great one. Most importantly, it’s been without any beef and with a lot of support. “Idk why da f**k all the blogs acting as if I got out on sum beef S**t,” he commented. “But let’s be clear – Money Bagg became Muslim since I been down. NLE Choppa, like many folks out there, is a big Chris Brown fan, and he makes that admiration pretty clear online and in public outings, such as when they played basketball together. However, his most recent example of Breezy fandom has some fans in tears, others with genuine admiration, and a few who think he shouldn’t try too hard. Moreover, the Cottonwood 2 rapper sang the R&B star’s track “Under The Influence” in a new social media video. We have to give him props: he gives it his all and stays (mostly) on key. Plenty of folks have that MC/singer duality, but it’s even more exciting to see it develop from someone you didn’t expect in that lane.

Furthermore, this also happened to 21 S*vage, who’s made a name for himself for trying to show off his pipes. Whether it’s on social media or at an Usher concert, NLE Choppa certainly has steep competition in this regard. Many folks in the comments section of The Neighborhood Talk‘s coverage of this Chris Brown cover demanded a collaboration between the two. Jokes aside, though, the Memphis hitmaker is still quite proficient in his own lane. Perhaps he needs just a little bit more practice before he can hope to reach Chris Brown levels of vocal dexterity, at least in melodic and technical terms. MrBeast Buries Himself Alive For 7 Days

MrBeast buried himself alive for a week straight in his latest YouTube video. In doing so, the 25-year-old brought along MREs and other Feastables snacks as well as a five-gallon can of water and more essentials to get him through the journey. He shared the video on Saturday, writing on Twitter: “I spent a week buried alive because you all really liked when I did it for 50 hours.. It was hard af, go watch!”

In the video, he explains: “The goal is to sleep as much through this challenge as possible, for my own sanity.” At one point, he becomes overwhelmed with emotions and admits he’s been struggling to sleep. “I hope tomorrow’s easier. It’s a weird feeling. I am very tired, but for some reason I can’t sleep. I don’t know. I’ve never had this happen before. Why am I crying? I don’t know,” he says.

Recently, Saucy Santana took to social media, continuing to take shots at DJ Akademiks amid their beef. Earlier this week, Ak called the performer out for failing to speak up about Cassie’s new lawsuit against Diddy. It includes various damning allegations against the Bad Boy Records founder, including rape, physical abuse, and more.

“Where that h*e a** n***a mysonne and all them ppl who was talmbout ‘Protect Black women’ when some gay n***a was talking about me and his sick r*pe fetish,” DJ Akademiks wrote. “Where them ppl now sticking up for Cassie. Ohhhhhhhh.” Obviously, the situation’s pretty messy. Their beef famously surrounded Saucy Santana sticking up for Yung Miami, who’s in a relationship with Diddy. Ak had claimed that she was disrespectful to the gay community for calling a gay slur amid their own beef, which he denied.

Now, Saucy Santana’s shared a new Instagram Story featuring his diss track “Me Me In Da Skreets.” He looks unbothered in a selfie, tagging Ak in the post. The song centers around DJ Akademiks’ questionable approach to covering Black women, which has been up for debate amid his beef with Saucy Santana and Yung Miami. Some users called him out when he got emotional during a live stream after Santana threatened to “beat” and sexually assault him, and he claimed that he was too afraid to fire back because he thought he’d get cancelled.

Lil Yachty has had himself a truly amazing year both in and outside of music. Overall, it all started with the album Let’s Start Here. This psychedelic rap album had a lot of people excited and it is still getting a ton of plays. Moreover, he has been working with Drake and J. Cole. Not to mention, he has dropped some other experimental rap tracks this year that have grown his cache. Add last year’s “Poland” into the mix and it becomes clear that Yachty is on a whole different time right now.

Furthermore, Yachty got to perform at Camp Flog Gnaw over the weekend. It was a huge moment for him as the crowd was going wild. After the show, he got to take in some of the other performances. For instance, he was front and center for the Baby Keem and Kendrick Lamar set. Now, however, he is making new moves on social media in light of his performance. Essentially, he has taken all of his Instagram followers and has added them to his Close Friends IG story. This led to his first post as part of this new strategy.
