Vince Staples Gets In The Studio With Mustard, Jokes About Joining Rap Beef

Vince Staples joked that Mustard pressured him into getting involved in the ongoing beef between Kendrick Lamar and Drake in a post on Twitter, on Sunday. “This n***a Mustard in the studio tryna brainwash me so f*cc it if we beefing we beefing!” he wrote. “Who gon pop Shai Gilgeous Alexander for the West Coast?” Mustard responded to the post with a series of laughing emojis while sharing a picture of him in the studio.

Fans share plenty of laughs in response to the posts. “We are living through the funniest era in history im grateful,” one user said. Another added: “Vince getting too much money he got the ceo leg cross now.”

Linking up with Mustard comes after Staples spoke with Long Beach Mayor Rex Richard about the state of hip-hop for a panel discussion on the city’s inaugural Youth Day. He explained that artists are getting priced out of their contracts with record labels and aren’t doing anything collectively to fight against the situation. “So then, we getting priced out of our contracts, we getting priced out of our imprints, there are no labels basically that are incentivized to sign Black music, and it’s happening in front of our eyes. And while Taylor Swift is fighting for people to be able to have streaming money, n****s is on the internet arguing with each other about some rap sh*t,” he said. Drake Accused Of Botting Again After “The Heart Part 6” Release

Drake is facing rumors that he’s been using bots to promote his newest diss track, “The Heart Part 6,” on social media. In a post on Twitter, the outlet Kurrco notes a poll from Complex with 12k views and 30k votes that ended 92% in favor of the Toronto rapper. Additionally, they shared several suspicious tweets responding to news about Kendrick Lamar.

Drake actually accuses Lamar of using bots to promote his songs in “The Heart Part 6.” At one point, he raps: “I’m a f*cking hitmaker, dog, not a peacemaker / Yeah, bullets that I’m stuffin’ in each chamber, your ass in extreme danger / Stop buyin’ views and bot comments, you may as well keep the paper / Sh*t you ’bout to need for later.” The track arrived after Lamar dissed him on back-to-back songs with “Meet The Grahams” and “Not Like Us.”

Fans had mixed responses to the latest botting rumors. “Polls & all this nonsense don’t matter since bots have ruined it from both sides of the beef,” one user argued. “What matters is the music & Drake is pressuring Kendrick even more to address the allegations.” Both sides have been consistently facing rumors about bots. DJ Vlad Receives Backlash For Threatening Black Professor’s Job Over Drake Vs. Kendrick Lamar Comments

DJ Vlad is trending today for all of the wrong reasons. Yesterday, the personality took to Twitter/X to weigh in on Kendrick Lamar’s new Drake diss, “Not Like Us.” He made a comment about the mix, suggesting it could use some improvement. Morgan Jerkins, an author, editor, professor at Princeton University, and niece of Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins then replied, urging him to stay out of the viral conversation. “You are WHITE,” she wrote. “This is a BLACK FOLK AFFAIR.”

Vlad didn’t take kindly to the remark and quickly fired back. “Wait, so a professor at @Princeton is telling me that a white person shouldn’t be allowed to voice their opinion about Hip-Hop? Is that how you interact with your students?” he then asked. “What I’m saying is that you put your opinion in a discussion that’s not needed. This conversation is and should center Black people, not you,” she responded.

Unfortunately, things only escalated from there. “Don’t try to change your words now,” he then wrote. “I’ll be reaching out to @princeton about this on Monday.” They continued to go back and forth, with Vlad later threatening to get the remark put on her “permanent record,” and seemingly threatening her job. Countless social media users are now weighing in on the exchange, with many arguing that he went too far. Content creator @colorfullstory, who goes by @cfstory on TikTok, shared her take on the debacle which has since gone viral on X. “Pay attention and watch whiteness work,” she wrote earlier today. “DJ Vlad was told this is a Black Folk Affair and his immediate response was to try to get a Black Woman fired because this was a space for Black people about Black people and him being told this isn’t for him means she needs to be fired.”

In the clip, she appears to pronounce “food,” “music,” “confused,” and more words in a near-unintelligible way. Afterward, she claimed on Twitter that the interview had written down different words for her to read than appeared on screen. “Da word was feud & few, ionno why his ass put food,” she wrote on Twitter.

On Instagram Live, she further addressed the clip while speaking with fans. “Didn’t he put ‘food’ twice knowing it was ‘fued’ and ‘few’?” she asked a friend. “I’ll check the sh*t out of his fat neck ass. Don’t ever try to be motherf*ckin’ funny.” From there, she called out fans claiming she fakes her accent. “Who the f*ck I gotta fake an accent for?” she argued.

During this time, Ice Spice has also amassed her fair share of haters. There are some people out there who do not like her. Overall, she has had beef with none other than Latto. Moreover, she has a former alleged best friend trying to expose her. But through all of this, she seems to be unbothered. In fact, she showed this to be the case recently as she took to her Twitter account with a photo of herself in some revealing booty jean shorts. It all came with the message “i’d be mad too fs.”

Recently, there was chatter about the psychological tactics being employed here. For instance, at a recent Quavo show, the crowd was practically empty. Big Sean is an artist who understands how important social media can be when it comes to promoting one’s music. Unfortunately, some social media platforms have actively gotten worse. Overall, there are also some social media platforms that appear to be under attack from the United States government. Looking at you, TikTok. However, nothing can match the downfall of Twitter, which is now known as X. Ever since Elon Musk purchased the platform, it has gone down the drain. The user experience is truly awful, and it is full of edge lords.

Perhaps the worst part about Twitter right now, is the sheer abundance of ridiculous bots. These bots are pornographic in nature, as they are constantly promoting OnlyFans pages. Ultimately, the spam has gotten a bit overbearing, and user of the app have had enough. This is especially true when you consider how Musk had made it a part of his mandate to get rid of such bots. Instead, the problem has only gotten worse. Recently, Big Sean took to Twitter to lament this fact.

Several more artists have paid tribute to Chris King in the days since his death over the weekend. Justin Bieber, Machine Gun Kelly, and more have now posted on social media about the late rapper. He was gunned down in an apparent robbery attempt outside of a music studio in Nashville on Saturday.

“Love you bro. This one hurts,” Bieber wrote on his Instagram Story. “Please keep his family in your prayers. See you in paradise brother.” Just last December, King revealed in an Instagram post that he and the singer for roommates for a period of time.

Birdman Shuts Down Theories That Hip-Hop Has Become “Soft”

There’s been plenty of discourse about the current state of hip-hop as of late, particularly amid all of the viral rap beef taking place online. It’s sparked questions of whether or not hip-hop has become soft, as instead of hashing things out in the streets, artists’ new go-to is social media. During a recent appearance on Steve-O’s Wild Ride!, Birdman chimed into the debate, revealing whether or not he believes things have changed since his come-up in the 90s. According to him, things haven’t gotten better in terms of violence. In fact, he thinks things have gotten worse.

“F*ck no,” the Cash Money Records icon said of hip-hop becoming soft. “We was cool back then without social media, now these young n***as killing — it’s a different operation. You just got to know how to adjust either way. It’s a different time, from then to now.”

Birdman Says Violence Has Increased

He went on to note that social media makes it easier to start problems with people, and how immediately things can spread. “Back then, we didn’t have social media, so if you got a problem with a n***a, who gon’ know? ‘Cause you ain’t making songs about no n***a, but nowadays with social media, you got a problem, the whole world gon’ know. It’s just a different time and I just hope it get better, bro,” he said.

Birdman elaborated, noting how he hopes the violence will come to an end once and for all. “I don’t want to see people losing their lives, ’cause that’s happening,” he explained. “Even n***as rapping are not rapping.
