Snoop Dogg’s Son Reveals How He And His Dad Convinced Eminem To Enter The Metaverse

It looks like Eminem is the latest rapper to join the Metaverse. In a video shared by Snoop Dogg’s son, Cordell Broadus, Snoop is seen talking to Eminem on the phone, trying to persuade him to join the NFT space.

Cordell shared a video on his NFT-centered Twitter page, breaking down in a thread how Snoop convinced Eminem to enter the Metaverse.

“Story time with #ChampMedici,” Said Cordell in a tweet. “I saw Paul Rosenberg eating dinner at Barclays November 3rd 2021 and I didn’t hesitate to tell him to bring Em 2 this space, he wasn’t convinced / so I had my client @SnoopDogg call Em November 21st to convince him (here’s the phone call).”

During the call, Eminem can be heard saying, “That’s a crazy-ass idea.”

Deeper into the thread, Cordell revealed how Eminem and Snoop linked to collaborate on the song “From The D 2 The LBC,” and how they worked with Gary Vaynerchuck to produce the song’s NFT music video.

“Im not bragging or making this about me it’s just a beautiful thing to see how time works and ideas are always on our side,” he wrote on Twitter. “Any go getters out there that may have to go through a journey of people fully not understanding ur vision…have faith & be patient.”

Snoop Dogg And Eminem Turn Into Stoned Bored Ape NFTs In Their ‘From The D 2 The LBC’ Video

It was just a year and a half ago that there seemed to be some bad blood between Snoop Dogg and Eminem, both of whom are prodigies of Dr. Dre. It all started when Eminem took issue with Snoop Dogg leaving him out of his personal list of top ten rappers. Eminem shot back with a diss on “Zeus” and Snoop sent a warning back to the Detroit rapper in return. The two eventually settled their differences and even shared the stage together for the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show earlier this year. Now, they’ve done something that they haven’t in a really long time: collaborated on a song.

Snoop and Eminem take things from “From The D 2 The LBC” on their new collaboration, and it arrives with quite the unique music video to accompany it. The visual begins with Eminem in the studio getting ready to record a verse. He struggles to begin as Snoop has flooded with the studio with smoke thanks to a blunt he lit. Soon enough, Eminem gets a contact high thanks to Snoop, and things get a bit wacky for the remainder of the video as both rappers enter a world where they’ve turned into Bored Ape NFTs.

It should be noted that Snoop and Eminem are not unfamiliar with the world of NFTs as they’ve both taken previous steps into it, examples of which you can see here and here respectively.

A Snoop Dogg Impersonator Named ‘Doop Snogg’ Has Been Fooling Fans At NFT NYC

A Snoop Dogg impersonator has been walking around NFT NYC tricking fans. Despite wearing a name tag reading “Doop Snogg,” the impersonator managed to convince attendees of the conference that he is the real Snoop.

Kevin Collier, a reporter for NBC, was one of many people who believed Doop Snogg was actually Snoop, and didn’t realize he was an impersonator until he attempted to interview him.

“I’m at the NFT NYC conference again in Times Square, and Snoop walked by, flanked by security,” Collier tweeted. “I grabbed his handler, said I’m a reporter, would love a few minutes. The guy said actually that’s an impersonator, legally can’t say it’s him, they hired him to drum up excitement.”

Snoop has since replied to fans’ confusion about the look-alike, quoting Collier’s tweet, simply replying, “Doop Snogg.”

While the real Snoop may not be in attendance at NFT NYC, the rapper has made large strides in the realm of non-fungible tokens. Earlier this year, he revealed that he plans to turn Death Row Records into an NFT label. He was revealed to be behind the Cozomo de’ Medici NFT Twitter account and he was also confirmed to be the title character of Supercuzz, an NFT comic book series.

Snoop Dogg Tells Martha Stewart He Smokes 15-25 “Special Cigarettes” a Day

Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart Recreate 'Titanic' Scene

If there are two things you know Snoop Dogg for, it’s his music and his love for marijuana. In fact, it’s basically a part of his entire brand and has been since his days as an artist on Death Row.

On the other hand, in the last decade or so, Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart have become the duo we never thought we needed. As the businesswoman and tv personality readies the pilot episode for her upcoming podcast, The Martha Stewart Podcast, Snoop Dogg shares in a preview just how many “special cigarettes” he smokes a day.

“The question they’re going to ask is whether or not Snoop is smoking. Can you tell me how many of those special cigarettes you smoke a day do you think?” Martha asks.

Snoop replied, saying  “It depends. When I’m shooting television, maybe about 15 a day. But when I’m making music, probably about 25 and the thing is when I’m with Martha, she’s the secondhand queen. I make sure she gets all the secondhand smoke.”

Martha responded by saying that contrary to popular belief, the secondhand smoke makes her concentrate more when she’s around Snoop.

“That is the only time I get that fabulous secondhand smoke. And I must tell you, it makes me feel really good. And it does not disturb my concentration. In fact, I think it makes it even better and it doesn’t make me tired or any of the things that people say marijuana does to you. It’s fantastic. I think it’s great.”

In previous years, Snoop has revealed that he smokes more than 15-25 blunts a day. In a 2012 Reddit conversation, Snoop said that he rolls 81 blunts a day. He also added that the longest he has gone without smoking is 164 days.

“The longest I’ve ever been off is 164 days and muthafuckas say that’s a great answer. But the better question is, when was it when I first started smoking and how long was my life before I took my first pull? That’s the question I pose to you, Reddit.”

You can check out a preview of the podcast below. The Martha Stewart Podcast premieres today, June 22, on the iHeartRadio network.
