Quavo Gives “Rocket Power” Album Update: “This Is My Therapy… I ALWAYS Find My Strength Again”

It’s already been half a year since the world said a tragic and untimely goodbye to Migos lyricist Takeoff. The entire hip-hop community was broken up over the young lyricist’s death. Still, no one is taking it harder than his uncle and partner in rhyme, Quavo. At the time of the fatal shooting that took Take away, he and his Migos collaborator had just shared their joint Only Built for Infinity Links album which included the uber-successful “HOTEL LOBBY” single. Despite their beef with Offset, the pair was in their prime when one half lost his life, leaving his lifelong pal to mourn.

Quavo has been keeping mostly lowkey in recent weeks, though earlier this month he did confirm that his next solo album, Rocket Power, will be a tribute to Takeoff. On Tuesday (May 23), the Georgia-born artist returned to Instagram with an update on the release, which he says is “coming soon.” In his caption, Q wrote, “This album is for the Rocket and our true fans. Also, this is my therapy.”

Quavo Speaks on His Next Solo Project

His heartfelt message continued, “This is [an] album of true reflection of how I feel right now. Sometimes I’m good, sometimes I’m down, and sometimes I’m disappointed. Sometimes I fall apart but then I ALWAYS find my strength again.” Quavo assured his followers that while he knows “everything might not be alright right now, the rocket showed [him] a way to make it RIGHT!” The 32-year-old concluded his message with, “Rocket Power keeps me going, rocket power gives me fuel. Rocket Power will help us all overcome whatever we’re going through.”

An official release date and tracklist for the project have yet to arrive, though fans are curious as to whether Q will be connecting with any other artists. Regardless of the time it takes for the former Migo to complete his “therapy,” we can’t wait to hear what he has in store. Are you looking forward to Quavo’s Rocket Power project? Quavo Dedicates New Solo Album “Rocket Power” To TakeOff

Quavo has yet another tribute planned for his late nephew. The rapper has revealed that his forthcoming solo album, Rocket Power, will be dedicated to TakeOff. During an Instagram Live on May 11, he played some new tracks from the album for fans. Quavo interrupted the stream briefly to check out the NFL’s season schedule drop but returned to continue playing the music. After the live stream, the rapper posted a picture of TakeOff on Instagram. There, he called him a “king” and used the rocket emoji that TakeOff had previously used to promote his own 2018 solo album, The Last Rocket.

TakeOff, Quavo’s nephew, was shot and killed in Houston, Texas, last November. The rapper has previously paid tribute to TakeOff on social media. He has now dedicated his upcoming solo project to him, as well. The album, Rocket Power, is Quavo’s first solo release since his 2018 album, QUAVO HUNCHO. The Migos member did not announce a release date for Rocket Power. However, he did teased plenty of new tracks during the Instagram Live, which has since been viewed by thousands of his fans.

Quavo’s Heartbreak Over TakeOff’s Untimely Death

On November 1, 2022, TakeOff was fatally shot outside a bowling alley in Houston. The rapper was 28 at the time of his death. According to police, he was an innocent bystander in the situation. He was caught in the crossfire of a dice game that Quavo and other men were involved in. After an altercation, the game quickly turned violent and resulted in a tragic shooting.

In January, Quavo released the single “Without You,” which he performed at the 2023 Grammy Awards with a photo of TakeOff displayed in the background. Later, the rapper dropped another tribute to his late nephew and collaborator called “Greatness.” This new solo project will Quavo’s first since his debut solo effort Quavo Huncho in 2018. That project featured guest appearances from Drake, 21 Savage, Saweetie, and others. The album debuted at No. 66 on the Billboard 200. Stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news on Quavo’s upcoming album, Rocket Power. Are you looking forward to new music from Quavo? Let us know in the comment section!

Quavo & Chlöe Grab Lunch Together

When you’re a big celebrity like Quavo or Chlöe, even the smallest interaction will have fans clamoring for a relationship online. Moreover, rumors of a romance between the two Atlanta natives followed them a lot in recent weeks. Most recently, another piece of “evidence” popped up online after onlookers spotted the two grabbing lunch together. Of course, a simple meal outing with two people usually isn’t enough grounds to call it a fling for any normal pair of individuals. However, given what’s been flying around social media as of late, we can’t blame fans for connecting the dots and assuming they’re together.

Still, the R&B singer (kind of) denied these claims while talking to Latto on her Apple Music 1 show, 777 Radio. While she said she doesn’t know where people got that from, they also joked about the rumor at length. When they finished, Chlöe just said that he was a “really nice guy” and the two expressed admiration for his loss. Throughout their conversation, the Bailey sister didn’t really deny anything outright, and instead simply made the connection that they were costars on the film Praise This.

Chlöe & Quavo On A Lunch Outing

Despite those denials, the two popped out together on multiple occasions. For example, they partied after Chlöe’s tour stop in Atlanta at a club, which for many is evidence enough despite the obvious interpretation that they were just hanging out. Another example is when they appeared together on Complex‘s “GOAT Talk” series, where Quavo took her aback with his dating advice. In that case, people could chalk that up to sheer promotion, taking advantage from dating rumors of two costars of a film during its press run.

No matter what’s going on with Quavo and Chlöe, they most likely know exactly what they are doing with these appearances. Hopefully the two are still able to enjoy each other’s company without paparazzi or social media users breathing down their throats, whether as partners or as friends. Regardless, fans will still be ready to hear every morsel until there’s a strict denial or confirmation. With that in mind, return to HNHH for the latest on these Atlanta artists.

A Recent Quavo And Chlöe Interview Has Re-Sparked Their Dating Rumors Despite Chlöe Already Denying Them

The internet is whispering that there’s a new hip-hop/R&B power couple brewing. According to social media users, The Little Mermaid star Halle isn’t the only Bailey sister with a rapper boyfriend.

Quavo and Chlöe might play stargazed love interests in their latest Peacock Original film Praise This, but fans believe there’s much more to their on-screen chemistry. Not only has the “Hotel Lobby” rapper been spotted partying with the singer following her In Pieces Tour stop in Atlanta, but after clips of the duo’s latest interview with Complex hit social media, users are riled up.

Although the “How Does It Feel” singer has denied that they were dating during her appearance on Latto’s Apple Music show 777 Radio, fans are calling bullsh*t. Quavo’s latest song, “Honey Bun,” may pay homage to Drake and 21 Savage, but some believe it’s an inside reference to Chlöe’s sweet tooth.

Users across Twitter have made up their minds, and the pair is the latest rumored romance to focus on. Check out a few responses below.

On the other hand, some aren’t sold on the idea of the two being romantically linked, claiming that they read their on-screen chemistry as sibling energy. This wouldn’t be the first time Chlöe supposedly dated a fellow musician and those rumors also turned out to be quite false.

Quavo Speaks On The Best Gift He’s Ever Received

Quavo has been in the mix as of late. Since the loss of his fellow Migo and nephew Takeoff, he’s been quiet. However, the hook master has been dropping singles sparingly, with rumors of a new tape coming out. Along with that, Quavo recently starred in a new Peacock movie, Praise This. The film follows his co-star, singer Chlöe Bailey, who plays Sam, an aspiring musician who moves from LA to Atlanta after a run-in with the law. Additionally, she’s forced to join her cousin’s praise team before a national competition. Quavo stars as Ty, a well-known rapper in ATL.

Although the film has a slew of mixed reviews from critics, fans love it. With the film receiving a 50% critics rating and an 83% audience rating, there’s no debate there’s something to love about this film. Not only that, the feel-good film sparked dating rumors between the two co-stars. However, it has been confirmed that the two are indeed not dating. Almost a month since the movie’s release, we’re still seeing the pair out and about.

Quavo Reveals His GOAT Gift

Recently, the two appeared on Complex’s GOAT Talk series and gave their takes on different GOAT topics. Moreover, the pair got on the topic of GOAT gifts they’ve ever received, and Quavo gave quite the answer. “The best gift got to be my three-headed Migos chain from Takeoff,” the Migos rapper said. The chain was a birthday gift given to him by the late Migos member. It’s nice to see Quavo outside and in better spirits. Not only that, he also mentioned that Takeoff always gave him the best gifts, every birthday.

It’s been five months since we lost Takeoff. He was a critical piece to the Migos, as both Quavo and Offset have been on the outs well before his passing. However, Quavo has made it clear on his record “Greatness,” that the Migos are done. While that may be quite somber, losing a family member is even worse. How do you feel about the Migos being done? What’s one of your GOAT gifts? Let the HNHH crew know what you think in the comments section below!

Quavo Explained The Origin Of Migos’ ‘Mama!’ Ad-Lib And It’s Connected To Them Being Mischievous Kids

Quavo has shared a few new songs since the tragic passing of his nephew and fellow Migos member Takeoff last year. This includes “Honey Bun,” “Without You,” and “Greatness,” the last of which he used to hint at the end of Migos.

Quavo also recently sat down with Chloe Bailey for Complex‘s G.O.A.T. Talk series. When he was asked to pick a “G.O.A.T. ad-lib,” he answered, “Mama,” and went on to explain why the word was often used by himself, Offset, and Takeoff when they got into trouble at home.

“The story behind the ‘mama’ ad-lib is she used to chase us up and down the house trying to whoop us,” he explained. “And we’d make sure to call her name and say, ‘I’m just playing, mama! I’m just playing, mama! I’m just playing!’

He continued, “Then when she get to you, you say, ‘Mama, mama, mama!’ Only when you in trouble is you calling her name like that.”

In March, Quavo also appeared on NBC’s music show, That’s My Jam, hosted by Jimmy Fallon. He performed a humorous cover of Lil Jon and The Eastside Boyz’s classic song “Get Low,” in which all of the track’s lyrics were changed.

Quavo And Chlöe Share Their “GOAT” Migos Songs

Quavo and Chlöe recently shared the screen in the Peacock original Praise This. The film sees Chlöe play Sam, a wannabe musician who moves from LA to Atlanta after a run-in with the law. She is then forced to join her cousin’s church’s praise team ahead of a national competition. Quavo stars as Ty, a popular rapper in Atlanta.

The film received a 50% critics rating and an 83% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It also fueled rumors that Quavo and Chlöe were dating. However, nearly a month after the film was released, we are still getting content from the two of them. The pair recently appeared on Complex‘s GOAT series to talk all things rap and Atlanta.

Quavo And Chlöe Have Different Favorite Migos Songs

Sitting down with Complex for an interview where the two co-stars interviewed each other, Quavo asked Chlöe what the “GOAT Migos song” was. Her answer was “Stir Fry” (2018). “When we were filming and we were at the trap house, we were like, cooking in the fake kitchen….So Angelica and I were like, we’re doing” before trailing off to sing “Stir Fry”. Quavo also interrupted the question to incredulously ask when, and why, Chlöe was a trap house. When she said it was the one they filmed at for Praise This, Quavo quipped “Oh, I thought you meant a different trap house.”

As for Quavo, his answer was short and sweet – “Bad And Boujee” (2016). He doesn’t give a reason why but they both agree it’s a good Migos song. It is Migos’ biggest and best-known hit. However, it’s something of an easy answer as well. The question was part of Complex‘s GOAT series. Quavo also said that his GOAT Atlanta restaurant was Magic City, a strip club, because of their “GOAT Atlanta wings. And you can go get some lemon pepper and see nice bodies.” He also said Nobu but that it “doesn’t count” because “that’s for all the bougie people”. When Chlöe called him out, saying that she thought he was “bad and boujee”, he responded “nope, just bad. I left the boujee at home.”
