Zaya Wade Makes Runway Debut At Paris Fashion Week’s Miu Miu Show

At just 15 years old, Zaya Wade has already established herself as an inspiration and role model to many. The young girl previously came out as transgender in February 2020 and has since received both immense support and overwhelming criticism from haters upset by her self-expression. Thankfully, father Dwyane Wade and his wife Gabrielle Union have showered the rising star with love, giving her the confidence to make her dreams come true.

Over three years after announcing her identity to the world, Zaya was granted an official name and gender change last month. The decision came following a lengthy legal battle between the athlete and his ex-wife, Ziohvaughn Funches. She reportedly felt as though Dwyane was “pressuring” their child to “move forward” with the recent changes “in order to capitalize on financial opportunities.”

The family patriarch’s argument was that he simply wants Zaya to “live more comfortably and honestly in all aspects of her life.” Clearly, the judge sided with Dwyane, who’s been consistently using his platform to uplift his daughter’s LGBTQ+ identity while fighting hate and miseducation from internet trolls. She’s obviously been celebrating with her closest friends and family in the days since her name and gender change, but it wasn’t until today that she really got to commemorate the special moment.

During Paris Fashion Week, Zaya made her designer runway debut, walking in Miu Miu’s F/W 2023-24 presentation. She was styled in an oversized knit blazer in a gorgeous olive green colour, worn over a matching weather and pencil skirt underneath. The model carried a stunning brown leather bag under her arm, pairing it with matching slingback shoes that helped her strut with confidence.

As Page Six notes, Zaya’s parents cheered her on from the front row, along with the Wade family’s stylist, Thomas Christos Kikis. “I’m not crying, you are,” the proud father wrote on his Instagram Story while showing his teenage daughter off to the world. Tyga and Avril Lavigne were just spotted kissing at Paris Fashion Week following intense rumors online. While neither party has confirmed a fling in, say, an Instagram post, the smooch certainly makes things hard to dent. Moreover, the assumed couple posted plenty of stylish fits on their socials in celebration of the fashion event. Still, as soon as pictures spread across social media, fans had a field day. Hopefully the two can make a proper assessment on their status without focusing on media breathing down their necks.

Furthermore, rumors started flying after the pop-punk singer’s split from Mod Sun. “Avril and Mod Sun have been on and off for the past two months, but are no longer together as a couple,” an insider said. “Avril and Tyga are genuinely friends and nothing more,” added a source to PEOPLE. “There was absolutely no third party involved in the split.” Meanwhile, one of Mod Sun’s reps expressed surprise at the news. “They were together and engaged as of three days ago when Mod left for tour so if anything has changed that’s news to him,” they expressed. “Mod will be performing tonight in Portland at The Hawthorne Theater.”

Of course, many fans expressed shock at the pairing, but that’s the way love goes sometimes. It’s unclear whether all this speculation is due to an actual relationship between the two. As E! reports, she and Brody Jenner tattooed each other’s name in 2010 but eventually broke up in early 2012. After that, she met her first husband, Chad Kroeger.

The Nickleback frontman and his blonde beauty tied the knot on Canada day in July 2013, but their marriage lasted only two years before Lavigne shared news of their breakup via Instagram. Phillip Sarofin, a billionaire’s son, and Pete Jonas of Jagwar Twin were who the “Girlfriend” hitmaker dated next, but neither relationship lasted long. In 2020 she met Mod Sun while making music, and after a whirlwind romance, the two were engaged by March 2022.

After they shared the big news, the creative couple seemed to be going strong. However, in the final week of February, Lavigne was seen snuggling up to “Rack City” artist Tyga for a hug outside NOBU. At the time, the two left the restaurant in the same vehicle, and have been spotted out together regularly since. As the gossip began to circulate online, many expressed concern for Mod Sun, pondering the status of his engagement. Hours later, reports revealed that the pair called things off.

“[They’ve] been on and off for the past two months, but are no longer together as a couple,” a source said at the time. Additionally, they made it known that “Avril and Tyga are genuinely friends and nothing more. There was absolutely no third party involved in the split,” as speculation began brewing online. For fashion lovers, the past month has been undeniably hectic. Of her many looks, our personal favourite is the sheer skirt she wore to Giambattista Valli’s presentation, layered over a pretty bodysuit and decorated with tiny gems. Her hair has been long as of late, but for PFW, she switched things up with a short, dark bob that perfectly frames her face.

To complete her sheer and sexy outfit CiCi donned platform heels, making her toned legs look longer than ever before. From the look on her face, it’s obvious how confident she felt earlier today (March 3). Elsewhere in Paris, the mother of three stepped out to support Nina Ricci, once again stunning in a black gown. This one was far less revealing than Valli’s, though it still hugged her curves, and created drama around her neck with a large flower.

Previously this week, at the Off-White runway, the “1, 2 Step” hitmaker looked like the ultimate cool girl. Inches of dark brown hair were worn in four braids in front of her shoulders, tucked under a beanie. Her brown eyes were hidden behind oversized black shades, and she left her chest bare under a bomber jacket. For bottoms, Ciara donned a knit skirt, keeping her warm in the cool winter weather.

Since signing with Warner Music Group in 2015, Dua Lipa has carved out her own lane within the music industry. Many love her for her upbeat, pop hits and unique sense of style. Elsewhere, others prefer to keep tabs on her love life. In her earliest days in the spotlight, she dated British model and chef Issac Carew on and off until 2019. According to Elite Daily, her time off from the former was spent with LANY’s lead singer, Paul Klein.

Arguably the 27-year-old’s most high-profile relationship was with model Anwar Hadid, the little brother of Bella and Gigi. They began seeing each other in June 2019 and were together until December 2021. Since then, Lipa has also been linked to Trevor Noah, and more recently, Jack Harlow. Eyebrows were raised when he named a song after her on his sophomore album. Few were surprised by the end of 2022, when sources claimed they were seeing each other.

The pair met in person for the first time at the Variety Hitmaker’s Brunch late last year. At the event, paparazzi snapped plenty of photos of them together. Avril Lavigne linked up with Tyga at the Courrèges show during Paris Fashion Week on Wednesday. The meet-up comes amid rumors that the two have begun dating following Lavigne’s recent split from Mod Sun. The two singers made their split official last week, which came as a shock to Mod Sun.

Despite being seen with Tyga on multiple occasions now, A source for PEOPLE says that they are just friends: “Avril and Tyga are genuinely friends and nothing more. There was absolutely no third party involved in the split.”

Reflecting on their breakup on Instagram, Tuesday, Mod Sun tried to remain optimistic. “In 1 week my entire life completely changed…I just know there’s a plan for it all,” he said. “I’ll keep my head up + always listen to my heart, even when it feels broken [broken heart emoji]. Being surrounded by love every night on tour has been an absolute blessing. I have the best friends in the entire world, thanks for always having my back. See you on stage.” When reports began to surface about their breakup, a representative for the singer said in a statement: “They were together and engaged as of 3 days ago when he left for tour so if anything has changed that’s news to him.”

Mod had recently included a track titled “Avril’s Song” about his love for Lavigne on his latest album, God Save the Teen. “She blew me a kiss, And I didn’t wanna blow my brains out anymore,” he sings. “And she is everything I’m not. Without her, I am lost.” The two also collaborated on the track “Shelter.” Lavigne and Mod Sun got engaged in 2022 while in Paris. Mod Sun spoke about their relationship during a recent interivew with E! News. “I have found such a partner in this world to go through the chaos that life gives you,” he told the outlet, before adding, “I have found that person. I’m with a real grown woman who has gone through it all 10 times over and she makes me a better person.”

[WATCH] Viktor & Rolf’s New Rotated Dress’ Spark Debate

Fashion house Viktor & Rolf’s latest stunt has divided fans, with some labelling their haute couture show as a “joke” and “madness”. To launch their Spring Summer 2023 collection, the designers sent 18 ballgowns down the runway at Paris Fashion Week.

While some of the dresses were a simple, elegant A-line style, the design duo mixed it up by dressing some models in an unusual way. One dress appeared to be walking by itself, floating a few inches in front of the model, dressed in a skin-coloured bodysuit.

Another model walked down the runway blind, wearing an ‘upside down’ dress covering her entire head and torso with just her arms and legs visible.

Attendees also saw dresses attached sideways and slightly askew, with another dress looking like it was going through a model’s torso.

After Vogue Magazine shared a video of the runway show on Instagram, the comment section was flooded with people who didn’t like the fashion show at all.

“Fashion week is becoming a circus,” one person wrote.

“And the point of this ridiculously stupid outing is what exactly?” another asked.

“This is the dumbest thing I’ve seen in a long time,” a third chimed in.

“Ridiculously awful. Not a fashionista but they couldn’t have come up with something I aspire to buy? Even the models look uncomfortable. Maybe that’s the point. Idk,” remarked a fourth.

However, multiple people defended the designer’s vision and said that they “loved” the show.

JT Explains Purse Snatching Incident At Paris Fashion Week Runway Show

As fashion week stylishly wages on over in Paris, the celebrities and their antics continue to make headlines worldwide. Most recently, it was the Mugler runway show that got people talking – but not specifically because of the clothes.

Rather, it was an incident between City Girl JT and one of the famous models that has been circulating online. In the clip, Venezuelan singer Arca confidently struts down the runway in a barely-there little black dress. When she sees the rap diva, seated alongside names like Christine Quinn and Charli XCX, she veers off course to grab her purse and a brief struggle ensues.

JT fought back a bit, but wasn’t anything like her usual feisty self in the situation, leading some viewers to believe the situation was a set-up. We now know they were right, as a video of the Florida native and foreign vocalist hugging afterward in Paris is making rounds now too.

Arca reposted the viral moment on her Instagram Story. “@thegirljt, thank you for being up for the mischief and playfulness part of the show,” she praised the 30-year-old. “You’re so beautiful it’s insane!”

Afterward, the “Ex For A Reason” artist put the same clip on her page. She added a message to the top of the screen, explaining what happened to curious followers. “So fun. I was so nervous and was scared I was gonna look obvious. Obviously not ’cause they think it’s real hehe. Good job,” she praised her new friend.

This season’s Paris Fashion Week has been making plenty of headlines. From Doja Cat’s undeniably eccentric outfits to Kylie Jenner donning a realistic lion’s head while sitting front row at Schiaparelli, the eye candy is endless.
