Oregon And Washington Reportedly Agree To Join The Big Ten

The Pac-12 has reportedly lost two more members. Oregon and Washington have reportedly agreed to join the Big Ten in 2024. The news came less than an hour after it was reported that Oregon was preparing to reject the Big Ten’s offer. According to ESPN, the two schools will formally apply on August 4. The conference will hold an admission vote later on the same day. If all goes to plan, the Pac-12 could be down to just four members for 2024 by the end of the week.

The exodus from the prestigious west coast conference began last year when USC and UCLA announced that they would be moving to the Big Ten in 2024. They were followed by Colorado, who last month announced that they would be joining the Big 12 in 2024. Earlier this week, Arizona also announced they were in the process of finalizing their own move to the Big 12. Arizona State and Utah are expected to also join the Big 12. This may especially be the case in light of the news concerning Oregon and Washington.

Pac-12 All But Dead With Oregon And Washington Departures

If all deals play out as expected, four teams would be left in the Pac-12. Cal, Stanford, Oregon State, and Washington State would likely be expected to find new conferences. The other alternative will be to be folded into the Mountain West. The Pac-12 would not be able to rebuild as its primary target, the Mountain West, has a $32 million exit fee for any programs that try to leave before 2025. Meanwhile, while the West Coast Conference could restock the Pac-12’s basketball schools, it is not currently a football conference.

Meanwhile, the collapse of the Pac-12 moves college football ever closer to a “superconference” model. Under the predicted moves, the Big Ten will have 18 teams in 2024 while the SEC would have 16 and the Big 12 would have 15. Very quickly, the major footballing powers are being amalgamated into a handful of loaded conferences irrespective of geography. While there is still a chance that things could fall through, it appears that 2023 may be about to become the final season of the Pac-12.

Bronny James Jr. Reportedly Has First-Round Pick Potential

Bronny James Jr. is set to have a very interesting year ahead of him. At the end of the current high school season, he is going to decide where he wants to play college basketball. Overall, he has narrowed it down to three schools. These colleges include USC, Oregon, and Ohio State.

Additionally, reports suggest that there may be a fourth school that is considering. Either way, Bronny is proving himself to be an exceptional two-way talent. Scouts are very excited about him as a prospect, and there is now a sense that he’d make the NBA even without LeBron’s influence.

Bronny Impresses

According to a report from Jonathan Givony, Bronny was on fire during the Hoophall Classic. Subsequently, scouts are calling for him to be a first-round pick. Moreover, there is this feeling that he is one of the few high school recruits who is developing at a rapid pace.

“Standing around 6-4 with a chiseled frame and long wingspan, James fits the bill for what NBA teams are looking for physically,” Givony wrote. “He put on a clinic defensively on the ball at Hoophall with five steals and one block. He uses his frame to get over screens seamlessly, almost always makes the right rotations plugging gaps off the ball, is smart about using verticality to protect the rim and generates countless deflections with his excellent mobility.”

Bronny is one of those players who is definitely going to move the needle over the next little while. He has a lot of fans tuning into Sierra Canyon games, and his upcoming college decision will be quite the showcase.

Let us know where you think Bronny needs to go, in the comments down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news from around the sports world.

Bronny James Jr. Reportedly Eyeing This School

Bronny James Jr. is currently the most famous college recruit out there right now. While he may not be the top-ranked recruit, he still has all of the name recognition in the world. Overall, colleges want Bronny as he is a solid all-around player who is also very marketable.

However, Bronny has yet to make a decision as to where he wants to go. For the most part, there has been this sense that he will go to Ohio State. After all, that is where LeBron would have gone had he participated in the college game. Regardless, he has yet to make any commitments.

Bronny Out West?

According to an interview with Yahoo Sports!, K.J Evans, a top recruit this year, wants Bronny to join him in Oregon. The Oregon Ducks have a legendary program and based on what Evans is saying, James is very intrigued about joining the squad.

“[Bronny] told me he likes Oregon, and I want him to visit there,” Evans said. “Everyone that’s coming in is unselfish. We all cut, move and don’t hold the ball too long, so it’s going to benefit him. Bronny can be more of a playmaker and a shot creator, and I think we would play really well together.”

Oregon isn’t too far from California, so it makes sense for him to go there. Of course, there are still other teams he could join, and it’s just a matter of time before he makes that decision.

Andre 3000 Went With Big Boi To Watch His Son, Cross Patton, Play For Oregon

For over a decade, hip-hop fans have been hoping that Outkast will get back together to make new music. There have been brief reunions to tour or do one-off shows, but for the most part, Andre 3000 seems content to pursue his new passions in music, art, and film, while Big Boi continues to put out albums and tour with Sleepy Brown.

While new Outkast music may remain simply a dream for many rather than a reality, we can take solace in the fact that the two legendary artists remain close friends, even as they’ve moved on to separate ventures. That’s not always the case when groups go their own ways after a long time together, but it is truly heartwarming to see how Big Boi and Andre 3000 continue to support each other and their families.

On Saturday night, we saw the latest instance of this when a photo from a pair of Oregon fans went viral of Big Boi and Three Stacks sitting together at the Ducks game against Arizona in Eugene, cheering on Big Boi’s son, Cross Patton, who plays for Oregon.

There is real joy in seeing the two members of Outkast still hanging out and supporting each other’s kids at games and graduations.

That’s real friendship as you get older and, whether we ever get new music or not, it’s cool to see they haven’t lost that connection.
