For those who didn’t know, Taylor Swift is gearing up to drop 1989 (Taylor’s Version) as her next re-recording in October. Like her previous releases, she has included vault tracks to encourage fans to stream the ones she owns.

To tease the mystery tracklist reveal of the new songs that will be on 1989 (Taylor’s Version), Swift is using Google for a puzzle that pops up when you search her name. While fans are currently unscrambling the words that connect to Swift’s past, one caught people’s attention: “Sagittarius.”

While this is Swift’s star sign, it also might be a clue for a collaboration with Nicki Minaj being included on the album. The two performers have been friends for a while. However, recently, they’ve seemed to be dropping a lot of references to the fact that they’re both fire signs.

Back in August, Minaj reacted to her and Swift being the only female artists to have over 100 Billboard Hot 100 entries. “Fighting the urge to say Sagittarius ting right now so bad,” she tweeted.

At the 2023 MTV VMAs just a few days ago, Swift also referred to Minaj as her “favorite Sagittarius.” And she does love a good Easter egg.

Only time will tell if Nicki Minaj is on Taylor Swift’s 1989 re-recording, though. Hopefully the vault opens soon.

Even Queens aren’t above sending subliminals on Twitter. For most of this month, Nicki Minaj and Cardi B’s famous feud has been resurfacing in the headlines. Things between the lyricists are heating up again after the annual MTV Video Music Awards. The latter hosted and the former performed at this year’s event. Of course, nothing actually transpired between them, though we now know Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, was posted up waiting for Bardi’s other half, Offset, to act out of turn toward him.

This past weekend the two men traded shots in a series of social media posts. As a TikToker has pointed out, it seems the Hustlers actress and the Trinidadian had some indirect messages for each other too. “Y’all, the girls are subbing each other on Instagram and Twitter right now,” they teased before spilling the tea. “Nicki posted this photo of Michael Jackson,” he began, reminding viewers that Cardi recently spoke about coming face to face with the “Thriller” singer while getting intimate with her man due to his tribute tattoo in an interview.

Following that, Minaj sent out another tweet saying, “When I Told You Don’t Take The Bait That’s What I Meant.” Before long, the mother of two posted “I don’t speak dog, h*e,” on her own Twitter profile. Of course, no mention of her “MotorSport” collaborator’s name was made. From there, things only became more personal when Minaj posted a photo of a dollar bill on her IG Story. This seems to be a reference to lyrics from Cardi’s new single. “B**ch I look like money, you could print my face on a dollar,” the Grammy Award winner raps. Apparently, she caught wind of that pretty quickly, as another tweet reading “I got a real-life Helga Pataki” landed on the former stripper’s page this week, referencing the infamous antagonist in Hey Arnold.

Cardi B is clearly trying to keep her energy positive while preparing her sophomore album and promoting “Bongos.” Unfortunately, it hasn’t been easy for the 30-year-old. This is partially due to the ongoing situation with Nicki Minaj, but also because of cheating allegations surrounding her husband, Offset. Offset Laughed Off Alleged Threats From Nicki Minaj’s Husband, Kenneth Petty: ‘F*ck They Talkin’ About’

It appears there may be beef between former Migo Offset and Nicki Minaj’s husband, Kenneth “Zoo” Petty.

Over the course of the weekend, some video footage surfaced of Petty with a group of friends calling out for Offset on an empty street in New York City’s Theater District.

“Offset, where you at?” said an affiliate of Petty. “We outside.”

According to HipHopDX, Offset and his wife, rapper Cardi B, were allegedly staying at a hotel in the neighborhood where this took place. But neither Offset nor Cardi reportedly stepped out to confront Petty and crew directly.

In another clip, Petty is heard threatening to “knock the veneers” out of Cardi’s mouth.

Shortly after the footage — the date of which it was shot unclear — surfaced, Offset took to his own social media platforms, where he seemingly addressed these alleged threats.

“I’m getting off a jet, and he’s funny,” Offset said. “F*ck they talkin’ about? We hoppin’ off jets. Talkin’ bout ‘outside.’ Extremely broke!”

Later, a screenshot of an Instagram DM from Offset was shared by an affiliate of Petty. In the screenshot, Offset appears to asking for the affiliate’s location, seemingly wanting to confront him in person.

At the time of writing, it’s unclear when or where this alleged beef began.

This might be the most heavy rap beef of all time in which the opposing parties have rarely, if ever, actually dissed each other outright. Moreover, the cold war between Nicki Minaj and Cardi B continued in a pretty intense way this week. At the VMAs, the Trinidadian MC’s husband Kenneth Petty and his friends posted up at the ceremony and boasted on social media that they were looking for Cardi B and Offset. The former Migo even responded on social media some time after these clips went viral, calling his opps broke from a jet plane after his alleged message to one of Petty’s associates surfaced.

It’s a bit convoluted at the moment, but the point is that Nicki Minaj’s camp was looking for Cardi B and her company during and after the awards show. Now, new videos are adding further context to the whole ordeal, such as the 40-year-old’s response to a fan’s question at the VMAs. Furthermore, they asked “Where the opps at?” and she seemed to have an excited response to that. However, her words aren’t heard in the clip, so people are truly making a mountain out of this very small molehill.

Nicki Minaj Wonders Where The Opps Are, Might’ve Referred To Offset & Cardi B

Tensions between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj come up from their fanbases for the most part, at least right now. As two of the biggest female rappers in the game with past history, few MCs are compared and contrasted with as much scrutiny as those two. It’s unfortunate because, within the world of femcees, this is a far-too-common practice that divides and disincentivizes cooperation and support rather than empower women in a male-dominant and male-privileged industry. The girls run the show now, in many’s eyes, but strange occurrences like these turn them against each other.

If anything, their only competitive and contentious battle should be a sales and impact one. After all, they both have highly anticipated albums on the way. First there’s Barb’s Pink Friday 2 and then we’ll get Bardi’s sophomore studio release. Maybe one day, the two of them can put everything aside, despite how much the world around them wants to clash. Offset Reacts To Kenneth Petty’s Stakeout Video

Seeing drama unfold between Nicki Minaj and Cardi B is really nothing new in the world of hip-hop, but now, the pair’s husbands are trading shots via social media. On Friday (September 15) evening, a video of the Queen of Rap’s partner, Kenneth Petty, standing outside on a stakeout for Offset caused the former to begin trending on Twitter. In the video, the sex offender and his affiliates made it abundantly clear that they were hoping to cross paths with Cardi B’s other half.

“Offset, where you at?” a voice behind the camera in the tweet below asks, filming a group of buildings outside. Upon turning to see their faces, we see Petty markedly mean mugging the phone with two friends, who only become more reckless as they continue recording. “Big Zoo outside ni**a,” the one holding the phone yells, panning his view to reveal that the group of men is drinking beside a pile of trash bags. “Don’t let these ni**as fool you, we run this city,” they continued to berate their haters.

Kenneth Petty Has Eyes Out for Offset

According to Akademiks, while Minaj’s husband and his crew were on the hunt for the “Clout” rapper, he was having the time of his life at Kai Cenat’s place in Atlanta. Fans of Offset were beyond happy to see him letting loose and having a blast during their 24-hour stream in promotion of his upcoming album.

Of course, after what happened to Takeoff in 2022 there’s understandable concern for the lyricist’s safety. Still, he made it clear that he’s not bothered by Petty – or anyone else for that matter – in a response video flaunting his massive wealth.

Nicki Minaj Previewed A ‘Pink Friday 2’ Song And Performed ‘Last Time I Saw You’ At The 2023 MTV VMAs

Nicki Minaj has a new album coming soon, so what better time for her to return to the VMA stage? Nicki took a break from her hosting duties — one year after being honored as a Video Vanguard — to perform her new single, “Last Time I Saw You.” As the song itself is relatively intimate in comparison to NIcki’s last few chart toppers, her performance was suitably stripped-down, opening with Nicki standing at the mic in a billowing gown — which she slowly doffed as she continued her performance.

Then, at the close of the song, she decided to hit the audience with a new song from the upcoming Pink Friday 2. “I like my hundreds blue,” she declared on the hook, while issuing combative lyrics demanding acknowledgment for her trendsetter status. There are definitely going to be some Barbz taking this thing way too seriously by tomorrow morning and I’m already exhausted — but the beat’s nice and it’s Nicki at her battle rapping best.

Nicki is also one of the artists nominated for awards this evening, including Video Of The Year and Hip-Hop Video Of The Year for “Super Freaky Girl,” R&B Video Of The Year for “Love In The Way” with Yung Bleu, Artist Of The Year, and Song Of The Summer.
