Nick Cannon, Father Of 12, Says Any Future Babies Are In God’s Hands

In the final months of 2022, it felt as though a new Nick Cannon baby was being born every week. The 42-year-old welcomed more children last year than some become parents to in a lifetime. Presently, it still remains unclear if he’s done. In the past, he’s sometimes gotten defensive when interviewers ask about the possibility of a vasectomy. In a recent interview, he explained that it’s not up to him if his family continues to expand.

He first became a father back in 2011, during his marriage to R&B legend Mariah Carey. They welcomed twins, Monroe and Moroccan, and currently still share custody, though rumour has it that the vocalist is legally battling with her ex over that. Seeing as he’s fathered 10 more kids in the years since she gave birth, Cannon obviously doesn’t have as much time to spend with his oldest two.

The Cannon Family Tree

The San Diego-born star didn’t expand his clan again until 2017 when Brittany Bell gave birth to a boy named Golden Sagon. Three years later the model gave her co-parent his fourth when Powerful Queen was born in December 2020. After this is when things start to get confusing, as more baby mothers enter the picture. Abby De La Rosa became pregnant next, bringing the second set of Cannon twins into the world in the summer of 2021.

Weeks later, Alyssa Scott’s baby boy, Zen, came into the world. Unfortunately, he made a departure at just five months old following a heartbreaking battle with cancer. By the next summer, it was reported that several more Cannon babies were on the way, including Bre Tiesi’s Legendary Love in June 2022 and LaNisha Cole’s Onyx Ice Cole in September. Additionally, Bell, De La Rose, and Scott all continued their respective families with Cannon from late September to mid-December.

Alexa, Play “God’s Plan”

As mentioned earlier, the multi-talent’s family is a sensitive subject for him, particularly when asked about his future plans for more children. Earlier this week Cannon sat down with Entertainment Tonight to discuss fatherhood, among other things. “God decides when we’re done, but I believe I definitely got my hands full,” he acknowledged in the interview.

Ever the jokester, the father of 12 then added, “And I’m so focused. I’m locked in. But when I’m 85, you never know. I might [have more].” Would you be opposed to watching Nick Cannon continue to grow his family, or do you think he should focus on fostering the offspring he already has? Nick Cannon Covers New Edition’s 1988 Hit & The Internet Quickly Reacted

He’s a man of many talents, and Nick Cannon is once again flexing his vocal skills. The media mogul has an entertainment career with a reach unlike any other. He went from being a child star to running successful businesses that not only manages artists but produces shows, films, and more. Not to mention, Cannon has also earned a pretty penny through his music career. He’s collaborated with the likes of R. Kelly, Chris Brown, and Jeremih, so it isn’t surprising that he’s on Instagram belting out R&B classics.

New Edition emerged in the 1980s as a group of singing kids who took the world by storm. Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, Bobby Brown, Ronnie DeVoe, and Ralph Tresvant were the original quintet. However, after Brown’s departure, Johnny Gill was added on. They still tour the world for crowds of adoring fans, and Cannon paid homage by singing their 1988 favorite, “Can You Stand the Rain.”

The father of 12 shared a black-and-white video of himself at the piano. With his NCredible signs behind him, Cannon crooned out the hit, and in a flash, the internet responded. He’s no stranger to taking a few verbal jabs, and his critics were quick to drop a few jokes. Some people focused on Cannon seemingly mimicking the original sound, while others were New Edition purists.

Meanwhile, the hype surrounding Cannon and his growing brood has dissipated in recent weeks. There are several infants in the Cannon Clan these days, and the actor admitted that it is sometimes difficult for him to stay as attentive as he’d hoped. “Being a father of multiple kids, it’s always the biggest guilt on me is that I don’t get to spend enough time with all my children,” he previouslysaid.

He continued, “One ‘cause I’m constantly working and two, because I’m just spread thin.” Cannon has made it work, even recently announcing his NCredible Future Superstar Tour 2023 in partnership with Black Music Action Coalition (BMAC), BET, and VIBE. The tour will feature performances by several artists including Symba, 24kGoldn, Big Boss Vette, Hitman Holla, JD McCrary, Traetwothree, Klondike Blonde, DW Flame, POP MONEY, and more.

Chad Johnson Details Having Multiple Kids With Several Women Before Nick Cannon Or Future

Nick Cannon has been the face of celebrities who have multiple children with just as many women, but Chad Johnson claims he did it first. The industry is filled with men who choose to have a brood of children: Future, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, DMX, Shawty Lo, Chief Keef, and YoungBoy Never Broke Again, to name a few. During Johnson’s recent visit to Club Shay Shay, he discussed why his name isn’t included in conversations about entertainers with multiple baby mamas.

The former NFL star reportedly has eight children with seven women. Johnson and Sharelle Rosado welcomed their daughter just a little over a year ago, and as they plan their wedding, he says he’s open to having more kids. “I think what people fail to realize is I was Nick Cannon before Nick Cannon,” Johnson said. “I was Future before Future.”

“Sometimes, I don’t get upset, but I’m like why they don’t ever lump me in,” Johnson added. He speculated that he’s not a hot topic because he’s intimately involved in his children’s lives.

“I’m so active with mine. You see me with mine all the time. All of ’em,” he further stated. “When we go somewhere we all go as one lil’ army so I’m never lumped into that category.” Johnson described his ability to balance fatherhood as having a “method to the madness.” Cannon recently shared that he struggled because he isn’t able to be there for all of his children the way he hoped.

“But he’s doing it for a reason,” Johnson said. “My reason was during those times when I was younger, I wanted athletic children. So, therefore, I dated those who had an athletic background.” The sports great had regularly stated that when he looked for a partner, he also dug into their background to make sure they would be able to have athletic children.

There have been all sorts of rumors about why Cannon has decided to continue to expand his family. He welcomed his youngest child, whom he shares with Alyssa Scott, in December. This is the couple’s second. Their first baby, Zen, passed away from cancer complications in 2021.

T.I. Was Up For Nick Cannon’s Role In “Drumline”

Over 20 years ago, Nick Cannon starred in Drumline, a fan favorite that helped spawn a franchise. It’s difficult to envision anyone else other than the media mogul tackling the lead character, but according to T.I., he was also up for the role.

Tip sat down with Shannon Sharpe on Club Shay Shay and spoke about the development of his film career. Initially, he was a Rap star immersed in Atlanta’s music scene, which opened him up to lucrative relationships. This included connecting with legendary producer Dallas Austin. At the time, Austin was dabbling in movies, and T.I. wanted in.

“He was telling me about his first film,” T.I. recalled. “I was always like, ‘Yo bruh, put me in it.’ And he was like, ‘Aight, yeah man. Say less.’ He sent me to go read and I read and they were like, ‘Man, you got to learn how to play the drums.’ And I was like, ‘I could play like I could play the drums.’ They were like, ‘Nah, you gotta learn how.’ I was like, ‘Man, I don’t wanna do that.’

When T.I. seemingly rejected the role, he wasn’t aware that it was for Drumline.

“I just didn’t want to commit myself to it at the time. It wasn’t there,” he further said. “But I read, and I didn’t get it, and that movie went on to be Drumline. Yeah, I was reading for Nick Cannon’s part.”

Looking back, Tip doesn’t see it as a missed opportunity but as a stepping stone. Additionally, the Rap mogul said he and Cannon joke about the Drumline debacle.

“Look, that opened the door for me to do ATL,” he also revealed. “After I didn’t get the role for Drumline, I went back to Dallas and said, ‘Man, next time, bruh, just give me the role. I ain’t going to read or nothing. Just give me the role.’ And he was like, ‘Cool,’ and he just gave the role for Rashad in ATL.”

“All things happen for a reason. What God got for you can’t no one take from you.”

The Game’s Daughter Links Up With Diddy’s Twins, Rapper Says He “Needs More Kids”

As our favourite artists get older, so have their kids. Many who opted to have children in early adulthood are now the parents of teenagers. As it turns out, some of the youngest generation – or “nepo babies,” as they’re now frequently known – have begun forming friendships of their own.

Over the weekend, Drillmatic rapper The Game took to Instagram to share a snapshot of his little girl, California Dream, in a gorgeous light pink dress and Vivienne Westwood necklace. Standing on either side of her are Diddy’s twin daughters, Jessie and D’Lila, wearing matching black and white outfits.

“@Diddy, our girls have become beautiful young girls,” Jayceon Terrell Taylor wrote to his friend in his caption. “We need to have a family meeting ASAP!!!! I’m not playing ’bout ’em in no way, shape, or form!”

Afterward, The Game added, “I need more kids, [call] Nick [Cannon] for advice lol.” Presently, the 43-year-old is a father of three – his other two kids are named Harlem Caron and King Justice.

Cannon, of course, has an infamously large family, consisting of 12 babies from six different women. His first two, Monroe and Moroccan, were born during his marriage to Mariah Carey. After that, he and Brittany Bell began their brood (they now share three). Twins with Abby De La Rosa followed shortly after.

In 2022 alone, The Masked Singer host welcomed five new babies with Bre Tiesi, Lanisha Cole, Alyssa Scott, and two aforementioned past partners. Of course, none of this is easy to manage, but the entertainer frequently talks about how much of a blessing his children are to him.

Elsewhere in the news, The Game found himself rushing to his daughter’s defence just a few weeks ago. At the time, she was facing criticism for the outfit she wore to Jessie and D’Lila’s Sweet 16 party.

“I’m gonna say this once so people who aren’t her parents get it. My daughter is 12 & both of her parents are more than strict. Tiffney is a school teacher with a master’s degree & 2 other degrees who is an amazing parent & is very capable of raising our daughter to be great even if I wasn’t in the picture,” he wrote in @theshaderoom’s comment section last month.

Mariah Carey Allegedly Wants Primary Custody Of Twins With Nick Cannon

It’s an even dozen for Nick Cannon—the number of children he has, that is—but his first two arrived with Mariah Carey. The former couple divorced back in 2014 but have seemingly maintained a healthy co-parenting relationship as they raise their twins, Monroe and Moroccan. Cannon recently welcomed his 12th child into the world, making it his second with model Alyssa Scott. Additionally, their newborn daughter follows a string of children recently born to Cannon by Brittney Bell, Abby De La Rosa, LaNisha Cole, and Bre Tiesi.

Carey doesn’t speak much about her co-parenting relationship with Cannon. However, Radar Online reported that she is looking into seeking primary custody of their twins.

The outlet reportedly spoke with “sources” who confirmed that Cannon’s unrelenting desire to have more children is causing concern.

“The reality of the situation is that Monroe and Moroccan are usually with Mariah anyway. Nick doesn’t see much of them,” said the source. The person also added that Cannon is a “doting father.”

“But she wants to put him on notice that he can’t just flit in and out of their lives while he attends to his other children. And she wants legal standing as the twins’ primary caregiver.”

Recently, rumors spread that Carey wanted Cannon to spend more time with their twins. During a recent interview with The Check-Up, the Wild ‘N Out mogul admitted that he struggles to balance his schedule with so many children and families.

“Being a father of multiple kids, it’s always the biggest guilt on me is that I don’t get to spend enough time with all my children,” he said. “One, ’cause I’m constantly working, and two, because I’m just spread thin.”

Nick Cannon Jokes with Andy Cohen About Vasectomy During CNN’s NYE Show: ‘My Body, My Choice!’

eb81a5f2d1c9f30e4e8d8900969495c1

The New Year’s Eve CNN countdown show is notably one of wild moments and laughs. This year, CNN wouldn’t allow the team to be tipsy, but they did throw in Andy Cohen for a bit of spalsh during the broadcast. Making an appearance during the show was Nick Cannon, who was asked by Cohen about the future of his parenting, by asking would the mogul one day be getting a vasectomy.

“Is that what you want me to get?” Cannon asked. “This is my body, my choice!”

Cannon would later state, “Clearly, I don’t have a plan. That should’ve been clear from the jump.”

Last week, Cannon and Alyssa Scott announced their second child together was born. It is Cannon’s 12th child. The baby, Halo Marie Cannon, arrived on Dec. 14.

“I will remember the sound of Nicks voice saying ‘it’s a girl’ and the look of everything we’ve been through flash across his face,” Scott wrote on Instagram. “I will remember the sound of her crying out with her first breath and feeling her heartbeat against mine. My sweet girl, I got my surprise!! We love you Halo Marie Cannon!”

The pair’s first child, Zen, died after five months due to brain cancer.
