Ja Rule Claims He Relates To Drake Amid His Ongoing Feuds

Ja Rule says he relates to Drake amid the Toronto rapper’s numerous ongoing feuds in hip-hop. Taking to Twitter on Saturday, he referenced Drake’s recent track, “Push Ups.” “20V1 I can relate…,” he wrote with a laughing emoji. In another post, he added: “Hip hop is a family… and no one wins when the family feuds!!! Don’t let that go over your head… #hiphopvseverybody.” On Drake’s song, he raps, “What the f*ck is this, a twenty-v-one, n***a?”

Fans shared plenty of jokes in response to the post with many bringing up Rule’s feud with 50 Cent. “You was part of the 20 and still lost,” one user replied. Another remarked: “Weren’t you on a song with 100 n****s all dissing 50?????????????”

The feuds involving Drake picked up steam when Kendrick Lamar dissed him on Metro Boomin and Future’s song, “Like That,” last month. After three weeks of waiting, he finally fired back with “Push Ups.” On the song, he targeted several other artists who dissed him before he could drop the song, including The Weeknd, Rick Ross, and more.

Ja Rule Speaks On Rappers Targeting Drake

In other Ja Rule news, he recently had to cancel his performances in the United Kingdom after being denied entry. In a post on social media from February, he explained: “I’m so devastated I can’t believe the UK won’t let me in I’ve spent a half million dollars in production of my own money to put this tour together only to be denied entry DAYS before my shows this is not fair to me or my fans these venues are 85% sold and now I can’t come… The UK is one of the few European countries that restricts entry to people with criminal records. In general, you will likely be denied entry if you have been convicted of a crime punishable by 23 months or more under British law or served more than 12 months in prison.” Be on the lookout for further updates on Ja Rule on HotNewHipHop.

During the show, the 12 remaining contestants performed classic songs from previous inductees.

More performers to make the cut include Cher, Dave Matthews Band, Kool & The Gang, Peter Frampton, and Foreigner. Additionally, the Musical Influence Award goes to Alexis Korner, John Mayall, and Big Mama Thornton. Osbourne addressed the selection in an email provided to Billboard. He was previously inducted as a member of Black Sabbath. “I definitely wouldn’t say I was confident,” Osbourne said regarding his solo success. He added that the 2021 induction of Randy Rhoads, his late songwriting partner, “made me feel we could be on to something. With every new music venture there’s always a certain amount of surprise that comes when you see the fans embrace it, because no one wants to make a record and have it flop. I feel like I was invited to a party in 1980, and it hasn’t stopped. Not bad for a guy who was fired from his last band.” Check out the full list of inductees for the class of 2024 below.

“I was with Doja Cat yesterday,” he said. “And I told her,’I’m jealous that you have backup dancers. N****. Just a bunch of sweaty n****s onstage with you, helping you look sweaty. F*ck. She got the wigs and sh*t. I need to do the ‘Igor’ sh*t one more time with the wig and sh*t.”

Parker Genoway, a creative director and designer for Silent House who worked on Doja’s set, discussed how it came together with Uproxx. “She was always like, ‘I want a dinosaur. I really want a dinosaur,’” he told the outlet. “And so when we started thinking about, ‘Let us work backwards. What kind of world could this be? Is this prehistoric, or is this post-apocalyptic? Has society crumbled?’… I think when I like to create a world, I want layers and I want versatility, and I want to be able to deliver a show that evolves and does not just stay the same the whole time.”

Cam’ron Reveals What Caused His Beef With Nas & 50 Cent

Cam’ron went into detail while recalling his past feuds with Nas and 50 Cent on social media. Filming himself on a boat, he discussed how he ended up beefing with the rappers despite liking both of them. The comments come as Kendrick Lamar, Drake, J Cole, and many more artists have been involved in feuds in recent weeks.

“Nas is one of my favorite artists, if not my favorite artist,” Cam began. “When Nas dissed me, that sh*t hurt. I was like, ‘Damn, we grew up on Nas. What did Nas diss us for? Damn, this is crazy.’ So when he dissed me for no reason, I’m like, ‘Damn, I didn’t do nothing to Nas.’ But it was when I just signed to Roc-A-Fella. And I was like, ‘Damn man. Do we ignore Nas or do we respond to Nas?’ To me, our back was against the wall because we didn’t have no platinum album yet. Dipset was just developing. We didn’t have no albums out. When we dissed Nas, that was our second mixtape. We put out one mixtape and then Nas dissed us. The whole second mixtape is because of Nas. But we had to do that because I’m like, ‘Damn, we just getting in the door after a f*cked up deal I had at Sony.’ I’m like, ‘Our backs are against the wall. I would never diss Nas for no reason.”

From there, he discussed his relationship with 50 Cent. “That’s why I did it because I felt our back was against the door. When me and 50 Cent was going at it, that was fun,” he said. “Shout to my n***a 50. We good now too. But when 50 dissed me, it started with an argument on the phone. When me and 50’s battle started, it was because 50 had said, ‘Koch is a graveyard for a lot of rappers.’ At the time, Jim Jones had just went to Koch and some other deals we had at Koch. And you know, Jim Jones is Dipset. So we sitting there saying, ‘Damn, he called Koch the graveyard and Jim just did a deal.’ So we got into a little argument on the phone. To me, all that sh*t was just music. Even when me and 50 spoke, we was like, ‘Yo, let’s get to this money because certain sh*t is music and certain sh*t is not music.’ When it goes past music, that’s something different.”
