KILLY Drops Off “POP 2” Along With “Life I Chose” As A Two-Pack

KILLY is someone who knows how to bring the vibes or the bangers. He can do that so effortlessly due to his melodic, auto-tuned voice. The Canadian rager has been impressing us, as well as fans with his recent steady flow of singles and short projects. His most recent of the latter dropped back in the middle of September 2023.

K3 featured standout performances on “LOOK WHAT WE STARTED” with his late friend SEGA, “Same Energy,” and “Cut Em Off.” Past that point, KILLY has also put out singles “Studio Freestyle,” as well as “Life I Chose.” The latter features fellow trap rapper Dom Corleo. Funny enough, that single is the lead track from his next project of the same name.

This ain’t freeze tag, when I catch him he gon’ freeze

Iggy Azalea Shares Photo Dump Amid Retirement From New Music

Iggy Azalea has shared a series of new pictures on Instagram while enjoying her time away from creating new music. Most of the photos appear to stem from her performance during the 2024 Adult Video News Awards at Resorts World Las Vegas, last month. The post comes after Azalea announced she’s abandoning work on her upcoming album and shifting away from music.

In response to the post, fans continued to ask for her to release new music. “IGGY I NEED YOU MUSIC, PLEASE DON’T GO,” one user commented. “Iggy [fire emoji]… oh em gee! You can’t look like that and NOT release new bangers,” another wrote.

As for her announcement about moving away from music, Azalea explained that she’s more motivated by design and creative direction at the moment and has been for a long time. “In truth what I’ve known for a long time is that I feel more passionately about design and creative direction than I do about songwriting,” she said at the start of the new year. “That’s why I want to let you know that I’m not going to finish my album. It’s been paused for a few months while I was giving direction for a different project & in truth I just haven’t felt the urge to go back to it. I feel really happy & passionate in my day to day life when my [mind’s] focused on that and so I want to stick to what’s undeniably best for me.”

Lil Yachty & TiaCorine Get Odd On Our New “Fire Emoji” Playlist Update: Stream

Welcome to February: the first releases of the year are out, we’ve had time to enjoy them, and now it’s time for the big guns to come out. While this is by no means a ridiculously huge release window, our new Fire Emoji playlist update and its round-up of the best of the best hip-hop this week proves that things will only get better as 2024 draws on. Leading the way is Lil Yachty’s new single “A Cold Sunday,” one of the most creative and unique rap tracks he’s ever done. With an odd time signature, and flows and drums that adapt on a dime, it’s a dizzying but still soulful record that the Atlanta native still shines on.

Next on Fire Emoji is TiaCorine’s new eight-track offering Almost There, with a lot of colorful and aggressive highlights. However, “Blick” with Key Glock might be the best out of these, with heavy distortion and fiery performances giving off so much energy. Another project release this week was Hit-Boy and The Alchemist’s THEODORE & ANDRE EP, on which the menacing and woozy “THE MAIN EVENT” with Johnathan Hulett bangs hard. Also, Icewear Vezzo’s Live From The 6, particularly the track “Rap Game,” is your fun-to-no-end Detroit rap offering this week.

HNHH Fire Emoji Playlist: Stream

Not only that, but Fire Emoji also highlights the best singles this week, whose artists will hopefully keep grinding in 2024. For example, Don Toliver made his return with “Bandit,” an epic and wavy trap banger with his always vibrant vocal tone. In addition, That Mexican OT tapped DaBaby for “Point Em Out,” which takes all the most cold-blooded elements of many regional scenes and combines them into a trunk-knocker. We’d be remiss not to shout out NBA YoungBoy’s “BNYX Da Reaper,” too, and this collaboration is a refreshing and successful triumph for both its rapper and its producer.

Meanwhile, JT delivered the most confident and cool-as-a-cucumber performance of this whole update on “Sideways.” Finally, there’s YNW Melly and YNW BSlime teaming up for a light and croon-heavy cut, “772 Love Pt. 3 (Your Love).” Let us know in the comments section what your favorite release on this Fire Emoji update was in the comments -– and what else we missed this week, too. Check out the playlist above and come back to HNHH for the latest great music drops around the clock.

TiaCorine Has Bangers Galore On Her New Tape “Almost There”

There are a lot of unique female rappers popping up every other week it seems. Some of the newest ones, like Sexyy Red, GloRilla, among others, are already superstars. However, there are some out there with the potential to overtake them in near future. One name you may want to keep tabs on is a Winston-Salem, North Carolina product. She goes by TiaCorine and the 30-year-old has been gaining more and more of a following as of late. Tia has actually been releasing tracks since 2017, but did not really pick things up until 2020.

That is when TiaCorine put out her first project, 34Corine. Even, though her talents have not been recognized for that long, she is garnering plenty of cosigns. On her sequel tape The Saga of 34Corine, she put in work with Kenny Beats and DaBaby. She is bringing more high-end collabs and bangers to her latest EP, Almost There.

Listen To Almost There By TiaCorine

This is also a sequel of sorts, following up I Can’t Wait, her debut album in 2022. Almost There had a pairing of singles released ahead of time. One of which included “Yung Joc” with Luh Tyler, a song we covered when it dropped. Tia’s style is all over this one, which is raunchy, zany, and colorful. She brings elements of trap, melodic rap, and even some hints of rage. You will find Key Glock and Zelooperz, as well as some production from BNYX and Pi’erre Bourne. If you are looking for a fun off-the-wall project to get your energy up, look no further than TiaCorine’s new EP.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new EP, Almost There, by TiaCorine? Is this her best project to date so far, why or why not? Is she the best up-and-coming female artist right now? Which songs are you gravitating toward the most right now and why? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. XV & WESTSIDE BOOGIE Are Puffing Their Chest Out On MIKE SUMMERS-Produced “CD-R”

XV is one of those rappers that does not seem to get enough credit. He is not a face of hip-hop, but that does not mean he is not super talented. The long-time MC hailing from Wichita, Kansas has always given listeners some fun and catchy bangers that sound good in the headphones. XV can bring the quick one-liners whenever he wants, adding to his contagious character. One track of his that has some recognition, but perhaps not enough of it, is “Awesome.” If anyone grew up playing the early 2010s NBA 2K video games that song made it onto the soundtrack.

XV even grabbed Pusha T for a version and it hits hard to this day. Hopping off the nostalgia train for a second, he is back with a new single. This one features production from MIKE SUMMERS, as well as a verse from the talented WESTSIDE BOOGIE. This is the first time we have seen these two MCs on one track and we might need more down the road.

Listen To “CD-R” By XV, MIKE SUMMERS, & WESTSIDE BOOGIE

“CD-R” is a braggadocious cut that makes a clever nod to burning songs onto CDs. XV refers to this in the chorus, saying that this song is so fire you will want to put it on a CD-R. The cover art takes a page out of the recent 1999 WRITE THE FUTURE singles with colorful discs. Be sure to give XV’s new one a listen, you will not regret it.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single, “CD-R,” by XV, MIKE SUMMERS, and WESTSIDE BOOGIE? Who had the better performance on the track and why? Does he need to drop a new album this year after hearing this? What is your favorite XV project and why? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. Kanye West & Ty Dolla Sign’s “Vultures Volume 1” Receives Revised Tracklist

Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign have been teasing Vultures for months at this point. However, there has been all sorts of delays, as is typically the case when it comes to Ye. Overall, the project doesn’t feel real in a sense. Sure, we have heard snippets of a lot of these songs. That said, Ye has kept things under wraps for the last month or so, with just a bit of information leaking here and there. For instance, earlier in the week, we got a brand-new tracklist for Vultures, courtesy of North West.

This tracklist contained 18 songs and it had fans wondering if Volume 1 would have 18 songs or perhaps just six. Well, according to an inside source who spoke to HipHopDX, the first volume will have 13 songs. This first volume is set to arrive on February 9th which just so happens to be next Friday. What is interesting about this new tracklist, is that it contains songs with some pretty massive features. For instance, Future, Playboi Carti, Freddie Gibbs, North West, Quavo, and even Chris Brown are on this first batch of songs.

It will be interesting to see how this album comes together. Some of Ye’s bars on the snippets were questionable at best. However, one has to assume that he has been fine-tuning things over these past few weeks. Only time will tell if this album can actually live up to the expectations created by Ye’s previous works.

Give us your thoughts on the new tracklist, in the comments section down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. We will always be sure to keep you informed on your favorite artists and all of their latest releases.

Lil Yachty’s Lyrical Ability Progresses Further On “A COLD SUNDAY”

There is a large crowd out there that believes Lil Yachty is on a quote-unquote “generational run right now.” While that may be hard to believe for some, it is kind of hard to argue against that at this moment in time. The Georgia multi-hyphenate’s tear began in January of last year when he released Let’s Start Here. We talk about it a lot here on the site, but it is difficult not to when the album is so out of left field. Not only that, but it mainly stuck the landing.

Yachty’s psychedelic rock record is arguably his best work ever. Because of that, it seems he is more motivated than ever before. He was always consistent when it came to releasing music, but not with this level of aptitude. Lil Boat’s 2024 has been great so far as well, crossing over between genres. He is building on it with “A COLD SUNDAY.”

Listen To “A COLD SUNDAY” By Lil Yachty

What is impressive about this 1:47-long track, is the lyrical prowess Yachty is displaying. It has similar vibes to his and J. Cole’s “The Secret Recipe.” He brings a boom-bap instrumental with some gorgeous vocal sampling weaving in and out. “It’s a cold Sunday to complain / I hold it in until it rain / I fought demons after fame,” are just some of the strongest lines in the song. Who knows, maybe this is the start of a new rap album?

What are your thoughts on this brand-new song, “A COLD SUNDAY,” by Lil Yachty? Is this the best track he has been a part of so far this year? If not, which one is his strongest outing? Do you think this is a single for an upcoming album? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. NBA YoungBoy’s Instagram Lights Up With Potential Album Announcement & Concerning Photo

NBA YoungBoy is isolated from the world on house arrest and has been for years now. Still, his influence in hip-hop and beyond remains undeniable. He continues to put out new music at a rate that few others can keep up with. Before January came to a close he responded to Charlamagne Tha God dissing him on The Breakfast Club that same month with a song called “Act A Donkey,” and all through 2023 the Louisiana native kept his listeners entertained with albums like I Rest My Case, Don’t Try This At Home, Richest Opp, and Decided 2.

Despite his numeric success, it’s obvious that YB’s mental health has been suffering lately. The controversial rapper’s attorneys have been fighting to grant him more leniency while he’s stuck at home in Utah, though his freedom is still a far cry from what the average entertainment industry icon has in their life. On Thursday (February 1), the father of 11 sparked concern with a new social media post showing him lying on the floor with a plethora of drugs around him. A white styrofoam cup of Lean sits by his head, and a bottle of open pills is spilled beside him. “And that’s why I don’t pick up my phone when it ring,” the multi-talent wrote in his caption.

“Standing On Business”: King Harris Wants Credit For Popularizing Phrase After Druski Uses It In Song Title

Druski is usually one to keep the internet cracking up, but this week, he’s got King Harris deep in his feelings. After seeing a promotional post casting extras for the comedian’s “Standin on Bihness” music video, T.I.’s son was compelled to go Live on Instagram and get a few things off his chest. While he’s not necessarily asserting himself as the first one to ever use the phrase, Harris does want credit for helping it blow up in the mainstream amid a nasty spat with his parents in late 2023.

“It’s time to stand on business. I ain’t create it, but I’m the one that got everybody saying it,” he ranted to viewers earlier this week. “I ain’t create it. I’d be a liar if I said I created it. That s**t’s been on years and years,” Harris further admitted. However, he did point out that athletes and other public figures didn’t use it as frequently until after his family’s viral feud. “When you ask who got the news saying it, who got ESPN saying it, who got football players saying it, who got kids saying it, who got everybody saying it, it’s me.”

Before Druski’s upcoming release helps to popularize “standing on business” even more, Harris simply wants to ensure that he gets credit where credit is due. So far, the internet seems divided on whether the 19-year-old has a point, but he definitely sounds confident in himself.

Druski’s successful run in 2023 looks to be following him into the new year as he films his “Standin On Bihness” video. Back in December, he landed beside names like Ice Spice and Latto on Forbes‘ 30 Under 30 list, and only time will tell what he’s got in store next. Don Toliver’s “Bandit” Single & Music Video Include A Tame Impala Sample And Pregnant Kali Uchis

With Kali Uchis expecting her first child soon, 2024 is set to be a big year for her and Don Toliver. The first-time parents each have thriving musical careers that are sure to help them support their growing family, and from what we can tell, their discographies will only continue to grow. The Spanish-speaking icon reminded us of her linguistic abilities a few weeks ago on ORQUÍDEAS, which follows 2023’s Red Moon in Venus. As for Toliver, his Love Sick project from last year remains in rotation for fans, but they’ve been craving something new from him recently.

Thankfully, the Texas-born entertainer has heard our cries loud and clear. Ahead of New Music Friday (February 2), he came through with a fire new single, “Bandit,” and its accompanying visual. Not only does the ReidMD-produced beat sample indie rock icons Tame Impala, but it also includes an appearance from Uchis and her growing baby bump.

“You ni**as ain’t fly, this s**t lookin’ dummy / I’m ’bout to gеt fried, I look like a mummy,” Toliver rhymes on the first verse. “I’m gettin’ this cash, it’s Monday through Sunday / I guеss you won’t talk if it ain’t about the money,” the genre-bending artist continues, making it clear he doesn’t play when it comes to stacking his bread. The song only hit DSPs on Thursday afternoon, but already, the video has thousands of views, with more rolling in by the minute.

Explore the captivating visual for Don Toliver’s latest release, “Bandit,” above. If you’re feeling the Cactus Jack signee’s new music, make sure to add it to your playlist on Spotify/Apple Music.
