DJ Khaled Teases New Album And Travis Scott Collaboration

Last year, DJ Khaled announced a new album coming soon. He was pretty scant on details and most of the attention went to the song he dropped “SUPPOSED TO BE LOVED.” The song featured the high-profile trio of Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Baby, and Future and has racked up more than 12.5 million streams on Spotify since it dropped. But fans that were still holding out for news on Khaled’s entire new album just got an update this week.

Khaled took to Instagram to share a video of him in the studio with Travis Scott. The clip shows them vibing to a track, but it has no audio so not much can be gleaned about the actual song itself. “Soon as I played the beat la fame 🔥
said turn mic 🎤 on ,ofcourse I agreed new album in works @wethebest FANLUV WORLDWIDE 🌍 CANT WAIT TO SHARE THIS NEW ALBUM EXPERIENCE WITH YOU” the caption of the post reads. Once again Khaled is scant on the details in terms of a timeline for the new album. But fans are no doubt excited that it’s still in the works. Check out the full video below.

Listen To “The First Fist To Make Contact When We Dap” By R.A.P. Ferreira & Fumitake Tamura

the First Fist to Make Contact When We Dap is Ferreira’s first LP since 2022’s 5 to the Eye with Stars. On this new tape above, he attacks a bevy of soundscapes. While the project does sound very random and scatter-brained, this a way for him to express how free he felt recording this tape. In the bandcamp description about this 12-track offering, Ferreira had this to say regarding the process. “I wanted to make a work with bun [Tamura] that highlights the trust of the rapper / producer relationship. Tamura’s compositions pushed me like nothing yet has, his conception of what my sound could be left me needing to actualize it. I followed blindly and excitedly.” You can read the rest of the incredible stories of how this project came to be under the tracklist.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new album, the First Fist to Make Contact When We Dap, by R.A.P. Ferreira and Fumitake Tamura? Is this the best album from the month of January? Megan Thee Stallion Announces New Album & Tour Amid Nicki Minaj Feud

Megan Thee Stallion has had a whirlwind the last few days. Overall, this is thanks to her song “Hiss” which took shots at none other than Nicki Minaj. Although many felt like going after Nicki would put Meg in a tough spot, it has seemingly worked out. Yesterday, Nicki dropped the track “Big Foot,” and it did not do very well. In fact, many called it one of Minaj’s worst songs with some of her worst lyrics. While Nicki stands by the track, for now, Meg has the upper hand. In fact, Meg was on Good Morning America today, where she got to make a huge announcement.

Given the release of singles like “Cobra,” and “Hiss,” it has become apparent that Meg would be looking to drop a new album. Well, that fact has been made official. In the clip down below, Meg announced that she has an album dropping this Summer. What makes this fact even more exciting is the fact that she will be pairing the release with a Summer tour. As she noted on GMA, she has never had an album out during a Summer tour. This makes the new release even more exciting for the “Hotties.”

Megan Thee Stallion Has Big Plans

Unfortunately, a release date for the album has not yet been announced. Instead, fans are simply going to have to wait for Meg to come through with that information at a later place and time. However, if this is a Summer tour, then we could expect an album in late May or early June. Of course, this is simply speculation. Whatever the case, this is an exciting announcement, and given all that has gone on, now was the perfect time to make it.

Tell us your expectations for the new Megan Thee Stallion album, in the comments section below. What features are you hoping for? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the music world. We will always be sure to keep you informed.

GloRilla may not be the first artist you think of when sharing pictures to social media comes up, but she’s also no stranger to the game. Jay-Z Album In 2024 Isn’t Coming, Roc Nation Suggests In Clarifying Tweet

Unfortunately, it looks like the rumors sparked by director Hidji World that Jay-Z is coming out with a new album in 2024 were just that: rumors. Moreover, the Roc Nation Twitter account recently responded to coverage of these teases with the disappointing phrase “That’s news to us.” Of course, this could just be some cheeky misdirection, but it’s most likely a legitimate effort to quell any announcements or excitement. However, even getting this direct response to this is quite telling, because there are always rumors about when he’s going to drop something. As such, this door isn’t fully closed yet, although it’s getting hard to see the light in between the crack.

Furthermore, this is what Hov himself had to say to Gayle King about the idea of coming out with a new album. “I already [used the word ‘retirement’], I can’t do that ever again,” Jay-Z remarked. “I’ll say I wanna make music, but it has to be something important. I don’t wanna just make a bunch of tunes. That’s not gonna serve me. It won’t feed me, first of all. I have to be saying something important. It has to mean something, you know? It has to mean something to a larger society.”

Roc Nation Debunks Jay-Z Album Rumors

Not only that, but this is far from the only rumor of a new Jay-Z album to sprout in recent months. Again, it appears to be the only one that Roc Nation directly responded to, so take that as you wish. Regardless, another speculative streak began when a special case went up for auction from his “The Book Of HOV” exhibit at the Brooklyn Public Library. In this case, there are thirteen slots for each of the 54-year-old’s album, and a fourteenth one which is empty.

Was this just a design decision or legitimate confirmation that the New York MC has one more in the tank? Perhaps we’ll never know, and we’d bet that we certainly won’t know in the near future. But within every hip-hop fan is a dream that their favorite rapper will pick the mic up again somehow, and that’s important to believe in, no matter how delusional. What do you think will happen? Let us know in the comments down below and stay posted on HNHH for the latest news on Jay-Z.

Jay-Z Releasing New Album In 2024, Director Hidji World Teases

Jay-Z shook the rap world when he released a collaboration with D’Angelo this year, but perhaps he’s not done. Moreover, director Hidji World -– who’s worked with A$AP Rocky, Metro Boomin, Future, and many more rap superstars -– recently teased a shoot he directed on Sunday (January 28) for a 2024 album from Hov. Of course, this is just speculative and largely based on the hopes of fans, as the New York legend himself hasn’t said anything. However, with a visual project on the cards labeled as a shoot for a project this year, we wouldn’t expect this to result in anything less than a ballistic listenership.

Furthermore, Jay-Z hasn’t dropped a full-length project since 2017’s excellent 4:44. Back when Gayle King interviewed him for CBS, he didn’t close the door on another album, but he did remark how it would have to be something really special for him to craft it and sink the necessary time into it. As such, perhaps the 54-year-old finally found that reason… or this is all just a troll to send folks wild online. These days, we can’t rule that out, and with a catalog and career as revered and successful as his, he doesn’t have anything else he owes us other than some social media spectacle.

Hidji World Teases Jay-Z Album In 2024

For the sake of Jay-Z fans (and the ears of any person who likes music), we hope we’re wrong about this probably being misdirection. Still, it begs the question: so what is Hidji World doing related to him that prompted him to tease this on his Instagram Story on Sunday? The “Can I Live” MC is busy collaborating with Moncler; what time does a billionaire have to make a new album, music video, or whatever else this is? We’ll probably find out in due time (after all, this has a 2024 expiration date), and when we do, even the smallest of career moves will surely excite fans.

Meanwhile, the rift between him and Dame Dash over Roc-A-Fella is still a raging battle, albeit a one-sided one. Jay’s got much more pressing problems to handle, and also a whole lot more success to find across his fields. But we can’t help but dream about a new album this year, as it’s what most people love him the most for. With that in mind, keep checking in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on Jay-Z.

Kota The Friend Presents His Fantastic “Lyrics To GO, Vol. 5”

The birthplace of hip-hop always seems to have the best lyricists. No matter the decade, there is always a bountiful amount of lyrical marksmen. However, it sort of makes sense. Artists like Kota the Friend have legends like Biggie, Nas, JAY-Z, Mobb Deep, and so many others to reference on how to craft a well-written song. So, it is no surprise that Kota is bringing fantastic storytelling and introspection once again to his newest full-length.

The 31-year-old is back to deliver his fifth Lyrics to GO, Vol. 5. It is a series that began nearly four years ago to the day. Like almost all Kota projects, the tracklist is trim, leaving little to no room for error. But, he is up to the challenge as always and he succeeds with flying colors.

Listen To Lyrics To GO, Vol. 5 By Kota The Friend

It just comes so easily for Kota. His flows never feel forced and it is like the beats have to form to his flows rather than him having to conform to the production. Not many rappers have that ability and he is a part of that crowd. Kota put out a handful of singles for this project, including the most recent, “YUMA.” The producer credits are stacked as well. Hit-Boy and Statik Selektah headline the main acts, while Dakun, Exile, and Sango fill in the cracks beautifully. This is a top-tier release of 2024 so far and it has a great chance of being on end-of-the-year lists.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new album, Lyrics to GO, Vol. 5, by Kota the Friend? Is this the best entry in the series so far, why or why not? Which tracks are you gravitating toward the most so far? Is he an underrated lyricist in today’s rap game? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your hottest takes in the comments section below. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Kota the Friend. Blac Youngsta Grabs Label Signees For Collaborative Tape “Blac Youngsta Presents: Heavy Camp, Checkmate”

Blac Youngsta is easily one of the more prolific rappers from Memphis, Tennessee. The 33-year-old label head is back once again to follow up a recent drop. Unfortunately, his last record came during an agonizing time. Youngsta was dealing with the loss of his brother at the hands of a shooter at a local gas station.

Of course, Blac grieved the way most artists do, which is to make some music about their loved ones. That theme was quite heavy on Blac Sheep 2, a sequel to the original dropped months before it. He still was able to bring some turnt tracks though. We continue to wish Blac Youngsta, as well as his family and friends, the very best going forward.

Lil Yachty & Chief Keef In “Say Ya Grace” Music Video From Lyrical Lemonade: Watch

The new Lyrical Lemonade album All Is Yellow is finally out, and to name highlights off of it would be a much longer article than needed. Still, there is one track in particular that its team, artists, and fans seemed to take a liking to in particular: Chief Keef and Lil Yachty’s “Say Ya Grace.” Moreover, as expected from a creative like Cole Bennet, its visual treatment is pretty stunning from a technical standpoint, even if it’s not the flashiest of most complex presentation on paper. Some yellow tarps, filter effects, simple outfits, and cameos from Denzel Curry, G Herbo, and Big Sean make this a compelling package.

But all this is unsurprising if you’ve been following All Is Yellow‘s rollout, which contained no shortage of bangers as both singles and music videos. Take for example “Doomsday” with Juice WRLD and Cordae, which is a refreshing spin on old ideas in both lanes. For what it’s worth, Lil Yachty and Chief Keef still come through with a lot of charisma and personality in the video despite their simple set-up. Seeing MCs bring life to ad-libs and contrast their recording delivery is always a really fun part of visuals, and they don’t disappoint here.

Lyrical Lemonade’s “Say Ya Grace” Music Video With Chief Keef & Lil Yachty: Watch

Furthermore, while it’s Chief Keef’s only appearance on All Is Yellow, Lil Yachty also appears on the cut “Fallout” with Joey Bada$$ and Gus Dapperton. Back to “Say Ya Grace,” though, it’s a Sosa-produced cut that pairs an ethereal sample with icy drum patterns, and the two rappers provide all the energy necessary to take it over the top. Their vocal chemistry is potent here, and though we would’ve loved to hear more trade-offs, their matching tones are enough to satisfy. Hopefully it’s not the only collab that the two have in store.

Meanwhile, with other bangers like “Stop Giving Me Advice” from Dave and Jack Harlow, we’re excited to see how All Is Yellow ages throughout 2024. What did you think of the album and its accompanying visuals? Drop your thoughts in the comments section down below and check out the “Say Ya Grace” music video above. Also, as always, stick around on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Chief Keef, Lil Yachy, and Lyrical Lemonade.

Snoop Dogg & Dr. Dre Reach Final Stages Of New Album “Missionary”

Back in 2022, Snoop Dogg confirmed that he had a new album with Dr. Dre on the way, Missionary. The project will celebrate the 30th anniversary of Snoop’s 1993 debut, Doggystyle. Fans have been anxiously awaiting the release ever since, and fortunately, it looks like they shouldn’t have to wait too much longer.

During a recent appearance on the All The Smoke podcast, Snoop provided viewers with an update on the project. According to him, he and Dr. Dre have reached the final stages. “I’m in the lab with Dr. Dre right now. That’s Death Row/Aftermath. We finishing that up right now, tidying up the pieces to that. He’s a perfectionist,” he explained.

Snoop Dogg & Dr. Dre Are “Tidying Up” Missionary

He went on, revealing how the album came to be in the first place. “The n***a called me one day about two years ago. He was like, ‘N***a, come over, let me do a couple of songs with you,’” he recalled. “I go over there and he like, ‘N***a, let me do your album.’ And I’m like, ‘Alright, let’s go!’ We go in, knock out a couple of songs. He hit me back: ‘I need two more days.’ I got that call probably about 85 times. This n***a need two more days all the time.

“But when you hear what we have and how he got me rapping, it’s like a grown Snoop Dogg,” he added. “There’s some growth to him. It’s the way he selects his bars, it’s the way he uses his voice. [Dr. Dre] uses me like a f*cking robot and I love it because I love to be produced. I love to be challenged.” What do you think of Snoop Dogg revealing that he and Dr. Dre are “finishing up” their upcoming album, Missionary? Are you looking forward to hearing it?
