TiaCorine Has Bangers Galore On Her New Tape “Almost There”

There are a lot of unique female rappers popping up every other week it seems. Some of the newest ones, like Sexyy Red, GloRilla, among others, are already superstars. However, there are some out there with the potential to overtake them in near future. One name you may want to keep tabs on is a Winston-Salem, North Carolina product. She goes by TiaCorine and the 30-year-old has been gaining more and more of a following as of late. Tia has actually been releasing tracks since 2017, but did not really pick things up until 2020.

That is when TiaCorine put out her first project, 34Corine. Even, though her talents have not been recognized for that long, she is garnering plenty of cosigns. On her sequel tape The Saga of 34Corine, she put in work with Kenny Beats and DaBaby. She is bringing more high-end collabs and bangers to her latest EP, Almost There.

This is also a sequel of sorts, following up I Can’t Wait, her debut album in 2022. Almost There had a pairing of singles released ahead of time. One of which included “Yung Joc” with Luh Tyler, a song we covered when it dropped. Tia’s style is all over this one, which is raunchy, zany, and colorful. She brings elements of trap, melodic rap, and even some hints of rage. You will find Key Glock and Zelooperz, as well as some production from BNYX and Pi’erre Bourne. If you are looking for a fun off-the-wall project to get your energy up, look no further than TiaCorine’s new EP.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new EP, Almost There, by TiaCorine? Is this her best project to date so far, why or why not? Is she the best up-and-coming female artist right now? Ryan Leslie Returns After 12-Year Hiatus With New Album “You Know My Speed,” Announces Europe Tour

Taking a break from releasing full-length projects certainly has its pros and cons. When you look at the benefits, its mostly for the artist. It allows them to really hone in on a sound and damn near master it. Or, they can work on crafting something no one will expect. That alone could be a positive or negative for the creator. As for the cons, the fans could move on and forget about you. That is especially true today with the younger generation. They are always looking for the next best thing. However, Ryan Leslie decided to take his time.

Usually, five to six years feels like a decade. But, Ryan waited 12 (!) years, so that must feel like a century to most. Leslie got his start in the R&B world in the late 2000s. He specializes in buttery smooth and braggadocious cuts and he is delivering that with a modern twist on his newest record. Leslie is adding more kick drums and bass to You Know My Speed.

A good deal of his audience is in Germany, which is one country he will be performing in. The Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain, and France are also in the mix.

Icewear Vezzo Raps About The Street In Gritty Album “Live From The 6”

If there is one thing you can expect from Icewear Vezzo, it is street bangers. That is what he is bringing in spades on his latest project Live From The 6. This is the Detroit, Michigan native’s first album since December 9, 2022, when he put out Paint the City, hosted by Gangsta Grillz and DJ Drama. In that year and roughly two months, Vezzo has put out some solid singles.

The most recent of the bunch is perhaps the catchiest hit he has written in recent memory, “Perfect.” It features a first-time collaborator DaBaby. It paints a self-aware tale about how Vezzo and his co-star are not the best men because of the violent lives they can lead. However, they know that they still have a lot to offer.

Soulja Boy Continues The “Swag” Series With Its Sixth Installment

The First To Do It is something that Soulja Boy will always live by. While he might not be the originator of every hip-hop trend, he certainly deserves a lot of credit for what he has done. It does have less to do with lyricism and more so how to market yourself in a cutthroat industry. The Chicago, Illinois native has recently been in the news for things outside of music.

Over the past month, Soulja Boy has fallen into the deadly Blueface trap. He is someone else is making headlines for everything but his material. The reason these two are tangled up with one another because Blueface claimed he could out rap Soulja in a Verzuz battle. Since then, things have escalated quickly and they continue to beef into February.

Kanye West & Ty Dolla Sign’s “Vultures Volume 1” Receives Revised Tracklist

Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign have been teasing Vultures for months at this point. However, there has been all sorts of delays, as is typically the case when it comes to Ye. Overall, the project doesn’t feel real in a sense. Sure, we have heard snippets of a lot of these songs. That said, Ye has kept things under wraps for the last month or so, with just a bit of information leaking here and there. For instance, earlier in the week, we got a brand-new tracklist for Vultures, courtesy of North West.

This tracklist contained 18 songs and it had fans wondering if Volume 1 would have 18 songs or perhaps just six. Well, according to an inside source who spoke to HipHopDX, the first volume will have 13 songs. This first volume is set to arrive on February 9th which just so happens to be next Friday. What is interesting about this new tracklist, is that it contains songs with some pretty massive features. For instance, Future, Playboi Carti, Freddie Gibbs, North West, Quavo, and even Chris Brown are on this first batch of songs.

It will be interesting to see how this album comes together. Some of Ye’s bars on the snippets were questionable at best. However, one has to assume that he has been fine-tuning things over these past few weeks. Only time will tell if this album can actually live up to the expectations created by Ye’s previous works.

Yeat Links Up With Childish Gambino, Teases “2093”

Fans have been eagerly anticipating Yeat’s follow-up to AftërLyfe since it dropped in February of last year, which featured the likes of NBA YoungBoy, Kranky Kranky, and LUH GEEKY. They’ve since seen him team up with Drake for one of For All The Dogs‘ most popular collabs, “IDGAF.” He’s continued to tease new music on social media in the months following, including a potential collab with none other than Childish Gambino.

Earlier this month, the performer took to his Instagram Story to share a cryptic message with followers. “Me n gambino going chips for grass and yall would never know,” he wrote. For obvious reasons, this led fans to believe that some sort of collaboration could be underway. Luckily for those awaiting confirmation, it appears to have just arrived.

Yeat Hits The Studio With Childish Gambino

Recently, the 23-year-old hitmaker took to his Instagram Story once again, to give fans another not-so-subtle hint at a collab. He shared a photo from a recording studio with Childish Gambino in the booth, tagging him in the post. Of course, this has left little room for interpretation, and listeners are fully convinced that they have something on the way.

So far, fans know that Childish Gambino has a new album arriving sometime in the near future, though details on that are again unclear. He confirmed the news late last month, however, during a quick chat with TMZ. When the outlet asked him when exactly they could expect to hear the album, he simply replied, “Soon.” It’s possible that Yeat could be making an appearance on that project, or his own new album 2093, which he just announced will arrive in February.

Vic Spencer & Original Super Legend Bring Smoky And Dreamy Vibes To “Be Double Clip Tight”

Vic Spencer is a lyrical veteran from the Chicago rap scene that continues to treat us well with talent. The man got his start in the middle of the 2010 decade and has built out a strong catalog. Vic is someone who brings this sense of swagger but is also laid back at the same time. He has a voice that is a combination of Slim Thug, T.I., with a touch of Jadakiss.

It is a unique mix of names, but that makes Vic Spencer all the more interesting. He is able to methodically spit with the best of them and he has proven that over the years. Vic is doing that tenfold on his latest record with Original Super Legend. He is a rap producer who has a knack for coming up with creative jazzy instrumetals that will have you floating.

Benny The Butcher & Snoop Dogg Mix East & West Coast Sounds On “Back Again”

Benny The Butcher is someone you can almost always count on to put out a fantastic listen front to back. The edgy Buffalo wordsmith has been in the game for a hot minute but has more or less blown up fairly recently. Part of that reason could be because he inked a deal with Def Jam not too long ago. But, let us be real with ourselves for a second. His lyricism, the ability to craft interesting and intricate flows, as well as his ear for good production, have brought him to this moment right here.

That moment we are talking about is his brand-new album, Everybody Can’t Go. The trim 12-track project features production heavily from legends Hit-Boy and The Alchemist. You will also find Lil Wayne, his Griselda mates Conway the Machine and Westside Gunn, and plenty more. One track that has been a go-to for us and others is “Back Again” with Snoop Dogg.

Listen To “Back Again” By Benny The Butcher & Snoop Dogg

Surprisingly, this is not their first collaboration. Back in November 2021, they, along with Jadakiss and Busta Rhymes, came together for a haunting single “Murder Music.” “Back Again” is an effortless synergy of West meets East. Benny brings some of his best writing in a song that talks about focusing on staying on course toward your goals. Snoop kills the chorus and the beat from Hit-Boy adds elements of East Coast boom-bap and sirens that are so prevalent in G-Funk and gangsta rap from the West. You can check out the killer visuals and music in the music video above.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new song, “Back Again,” by Benny The Butcher and Snoop Dogg? Is this the best track from Everybody Can’t Go, why or why not? Is this the greatest album he has ever put out? Does this have the potential to be the album of the year, why or why not? What tracks are you gravitating toward so far?
