Kanye West Finally Drops “Vultures”… But There’s A Catch: Fans React

Well, it finally happened. Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign, after months of teases, cancellations, listening parties, and antics, have finally released their first collab album Vultures… on Apple Music. Yes, that’s right: if you’re a Spotify or YouTube listener first and foremost, or other streaming services, you still don’t have the album. That’s been a big point of confusion on social media, presumably due to sample clearance issues or specific issues with the streaming platform from a tech or front office standpoint. Nevertheless, the album is technically out, and while people have their theories as to how and why this came out in this way, folks are just happy to have it in their hands.

Furthermore, Vultures 1 released with sixteen tracks and is 55 minutes long. It includes many of the tracks that Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign played for their listening parties, one of which took place last night (Friday, February 9). You’ve probably heard some of them on social media already or caught some interesting bar about them: “Carnival,” “Fuk Sumn,” “Beg Forgiveness,” “Back to Me,” and more. As is typical for a Yeezy release, he and Ty didn’t list any features on the album, but sleuths started to piece it together.

Kanye West’s Vultures 1 With Ty Dolla Sign Finally Drops

Apparently (since a Spotify user wrote this article), the final feature list comprises of India Love, North West, Freddie Gibbs, Quavo (twice), YG, Playboi Carti, Travis Scott, Lil Durk, Bump J, and Rich The Kid. However, some other interesting details about Vultures 1 are starting to emerge and be noticed by fans, as well. For example, Ty is nowhere to be found on the album cover, but Ye’s wife Bianca is on there instead. See more fan reactions down below.

Fan Reactions

Also, the Chicago artist’s debut album The College Dropout dropped on February 10, exactly two decades ago, in 2004. This release apparently has two more volumes on the way, plus a solo Ye album. While it doesn’t aim to clean up past controversies, it does try to forge a path forward from them and finally give fans what they wanted to hear. If you got the chance to listen to it, drop your thoughts in the comments section below and peep the tracklist, too. As always, for more news and the latest updates on Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign, come back to HNHH.

If you are looking to find some new music to switch up your 20-song rotation, look no further than 1999 WRITE THE FUTURE. This hip-hop collective has been picking up steam over the past month and a half or so. They have been frequently dropping singles with various artists. 1999 likes to experiment with their sounds and it makes them a unique prospect.

Some of the tracks that have caught our attention from them include “LiGhT RAiLs” with Rick Ross and Rich Brian. This may be the biggest banger they have dropped and it features a killer soul/trap beat from redveil. We also thoroughly enjoyed “MiNt cHoCoLaTe.” That featured jazz ensemble BADBADNOTGOOD, Westside Gunn, as well as Conway the Machine.

Fivio Foreign Taps Vory, Meek Mill, 41, Swae Lee, & More For “Pain & Love 2”

On thing you have to respect about Fivio Foreign is how much he has grown in the past couple of years. The Brooklynite has only been around since 2019, but has plenty of massive accomplishments in his still-budding career. Perhaps the one that altered his trajectory the most was his incredible contribution to Kanye West’s Donda. “Off The Grid” gave Fivio the platform to deliver an extended verse. He made the most of that opportunity, putting on arguably his most passionate performance yet.

Since that point he went on to drop his sophomore record B.I.B.L.E. It was his biggest record to date with a diverse feature list from A$AP Rocky, Ne-Yo, Lil Yachty, KayCyy, Quavo, and Kanye and Alicia Keys. Additionally, Fivio became the first rapper to use an AI-generated beat with his song “Doin Me.” If that was not enough to convince you of his growth, he is now helping put on the next wave of NY drill talents. He did so on one of the singles to Pain & Love 2 called “Get Deady.”

41 is trio that consists of TaTa, Kyle Richh, and Jenn Carter. Even with the eight new songs, it is still one of the best in the tracklist. The second and final teaser was the Meek Mill collab “Same 24.” Outside of those guests, familiar face Lil Tjay appears. Additionally, you will find Swae Lee, Sheff G, Popcaan, Rowdy Rebel, and Vory. Be sure to check out the project with the links above.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new album, Pain & Love 2, by Fivio Foreign? Where does this project rank in his discography and why? Which songs are you gravitating toward the most right now? Who had the strongest appearance on the record and why? Is he the best NY drill rapper going? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. Earthgang Announces New Album “ROBOPHOBIA” Coming Later This Month

Earthgang have been busy recently. The Spillage Village members, Dreamville signees, and Atlanta natives have carved out a pretty recognizable niche for themselves within rap music. Last year, they released the viral single “Bobby Boucher” which got a cosign from Adam Sandler himself. That eventually landed on their RIP Human Art EP alongside fan favorite cuts like “Die Today” and “Flavors Of Karma.”

Some of the themes of technology and the way it intertwines with art expressed on that EP also seem to be coming through on the pair’s new album. The project is called ROBOPHOBIA and it’s due to arrive later this month. “Robophobia is a sonic dive into a new terrain for @EarthGang as we explore new soundscapes and topics on imperfections, connections and projections within humanity’s relationship with each other and AI,” the caption of the post explains. The album is arriving on February 23 and the pair are playing a show in Atlanta in advance of its release on February 17.

Earthgang’s New Album Drops Soon

While they haven’t dropped an official tracklist for the album yet there is one song fans are expecting to hear. Back in November they unleased the vibey “Blacklight” which is still the most recent new song they’ve dropped. It’s also the only single they’ve dropped since the release of their EP. It’s unclear if any of the tracks or singles from that EP will end up in the tracklist of ROBOPHOBIA.

Last year, Earthgang had a bit of a setback in releasing new music. The two were working on new material when they reportedly lost a backpack that had a hard drive full of music on it. It’s unclear whether they shared the info because it was the only copy they have of the music included on it, or they were worried about leaks. What do you think of Earthgang announcing their new album exploring the relationships between humans and AI? Let us know in the comment section below.

Heems Previews New Album Again With “Sri Lanka” Featuring Your Old Droog

Like a lot of rappers in 2024, Heems is on the path to a triumphant return with a big-time release. For the Punjabi-American underground MC, that moment is right around the corner. Heems has not put out a solo album since 2015 with Eat Pray Thug. When he puts out LAFANDAR, it would have almost been nine years to the day that Heems came through with an LP. What makes this comeback even more exciting is that it is a collaborative album.

Heems will be working with another multicultural talent, Lapgan. He is an Indian-American producer and will be handling the beats. Fans can expect the record on February 16 and to tide them over, he has two singles out. The lead song dropped back in late January. That featured Saul Williams and was titled “Accent.”

Listen To “Sri Lanka” By Heems & Your Old Droog

Now, Heems is bringing along Your Old Droog for a track. These two are familiar with each other, so you already know the chemistry will be there. They first worked together back in 2017 on “Bangladesh.” Now, they are hopping over to “Sri Lanka” to trade excellent rhymes. You can check out the latest preview of LAFANDAR on YouTube and all streaming platforms.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single, “Sri Lanka,” by Heems, Lapgan, and Your Old Droog? Is this the better of the two tracks for his next album LAFANDAR, why or why not? Who had the stronger rap performance and why? Will this be the best album of his career? Who else do you want to see on the project? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. Lil Jon Announces Guided Meditation Album

If Lil Jon’s career is defined by anything, it’s energy. From his shouted demeanor to his infectious adlibs almost everything he’s done in his career so far is about getting hype. But that could change later this month when he pivots to a VERY different kind of project. According to TMZ, the rapper is working on a guided meditation album. They report that Jon has been focusing on wellness and physical fitness in his personal life for a while now. As a result, he’s aiming to spread those good vibes to others through his new music.

While they don’t confirm a name for the upcoming project there are some more details available. The album will reportedly have 10 tracks and fans will get the chance to hear it on February 16. As TMZ notes, the timing doesn’t seem entirely coincidental. This weekend Usher will perform during the Super Bowl Halftime Show, prior to which he’ll release a new album of his own. Many have suspected the Usher will play one of the biggest hits of his career, “Yeah!” The song features both Lil Jon and Ludacris and MANY fans have suspected that the pair could make a surprise appearance.

Lil Jon’s Surprising New Direction

Lil Jon’s pivot from his more familiar genre of rap music into something entirely different reminds fans of another recent surprise. Last year Andre 3000 returned with his debut solo album. But to the surprise of many, the album he announced was an ambient jazz project with “no bars.” And when the project was released it lived up to that promise. The project is made up of long ambient compositions predominately featuring 3k playing his flute.

When the album does drop it will be Lil Jon’s first new studio album is well over a decade since 2010’s Crunk Rock. What do you think of Lil Jon releasing a guided meditation album? Do you plan on listening to the project when it drops? Let us know in the comments below.

Scrim Crawls Into Dark Cave On New Album “Lonely Boy”

Rap duos and groups launching solo careers is nothing new in the hip-hop world. Migos is not as strong a presence as it once was for various reasons. Their last album as group was back in 2021 with Culture III. OutKast did the same thing too. Andre 3000 recently made a massive reappearance with his experimental album New Blue Sun. $uicideboy$ is another duo to add in the mix as well.

As of 2020, Scrim ($crim) has been putting out his solo material. He put out his debut called A Man Rose from the Dead, a 20-song lone wolf effort. However, it would not be until 2024 that we would see new material from just Scrim. He put out a single called “paradise.”

Soulja Boy’s “25 Drop” Has The Fans Stamp Of Approval

Soulja Boy has never been a lyrical wizard or storyteller throughout his career. However, that is not a bad thing. Not every rapper needs to have those qualities to deserve credit for their work. Listeners go to different artists for different things and it helps make music more diverse. What fans go to Soulja Boy for is party bangers and that is what “25 Drop” has the potential to be. The track appears on the Chicago, Illinois MC’s latest record Swag 6.

This is one of multiple mixtape series in his prolific discography. Installments three through six are available on streaming with the third dropping back in 2020. Soulja’s Swag 6 is the longest LP out of the four entries, hitting the 20-track mark. “25 Drop” kicks things off and hits you with an immediate wave of nostalgia.

Listen To “25 Drop” By Soulja Boy

“Soulja Boy Tell’em” rings throughout the first few seconds and then the beat comes in. It has a vintage video game feeling with what sounds like a xylophone looping in and out of the production. Impressively, Big Draco handles everything on this track and it pays off. The lyrics are not anything new, but again, that is not what he specializes in. “25 Drop” is all gas and it delivers a good time from beginning to end. Fans agree, flooding the music video comments with things like, “I won’t lie, I don’t know what I was expecting but I’m blown away! This s***is hard AF!”

What are your thoughts on this brand-new song, “25 Drop,” by Soulja Boy? Do you think this is one of his better tracks as of late? Is this the best song from Swag 6, why or why not? Kid Cudi Reveals Details About “INSANO” Deluxe Edition

The deluxe edition of INSANO will have 18 tracks, according to Kid Cudi. “The deluxe is pretty much a whole nother album, in the spirit of INSANO, but a continuation, a elevation of the vibes. 18 tracks. #INSANO,” Cudi wrote on Twitter. However, Cudi didn’t reveal anything else, such as new features on the deluxe or what the new tracks entail. However, fans appear excited about the prospect of Cudi in the near future. Many fans responded to his news with stories of listening to INSANO while under the influence.

INSANO was released in mid-January to mostly favorable reviews. However, it flagged in terms of sales and only peaked at No. 13 on the Billboard Album 200. That matched the peak of 2022’s Entergalatic but also tied the lowest peak for a Cudi album since 2015’s Speedin Bullet 2 Heaven (No. 38). How do you feel about INSANO? Mario Judah Gets Violent Beyond Belief On Debut LP “Endure”

You would be surprised at how many artists there are in hip-hop that combine rock music and or heavy metal with rapping. Most of them dwell in the undergrounds of hip-hop. A reason for that is that a lot of the time, the sounds clash too much and it can be overpowering on the ears. But, one rapper who is sticking true to his guns is Mario Judah.

The Flint, Michigan native shares similarities with artists like ZillaKami and SosMula. They are better known as City Morgue and they have been working on that sound for a few years now. Mario Judah has been in the game slightly less than those two. However, they are his closest comparison.
