Andre 3000 Continues To Experiment With New EP “Moving Day”

Andre 3000 is on a mission to challenge himself. He spoke at length about the ways in which the flute removed the safety net of making music on his solo album New Blue Sun. It was not a direction anyone expected, nor was it one most fans wanted. That’s the thing about Andre 3000, though. He will follow his music. Moving Day, the Outkast rapper’s second official solo release, is more of the same. The EP sees him delve even further into his experimentation with free jazz and flute music. It’s definitely for patient listeners, and those willing to follow Stacks into some pretty esoteric places.

The first song, “Moving Day,” is a behemoth, 11 minute epic that sounds primal and patient. There’s very little in the way of melody or musical direction, but Andre 3000’s flute keeps things moving forward. It’s feels like more of an expansion on New Blue Sun than a refinement. We really hope you enjoyed “Moving Day,” though, because the second song, “Day Moving” is the same exact recording played in reverse. No we are not joking. Andre 3000 really tests listeners with this one. The good news is that the third song on the EP is in fact an original, “Tunnels of Egypt.” It follows more of the relaxed vibe of New Blue Sun, and it should since its billed as an outtake from that album.

Let us know what you think of this brand new album, in the comments section down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. We will continue to keep you informed on all of your favorite artists and their upcoming projects.

Playboi Carti Confirms More Music After Snippet: “I’m Not Done At All”

Playboi Carti is really selling the album rollout in November. The rapper has everybody ready for new music in September, but he went radio silent after the release of the single “All Red.” These days, you can’t get Carti off Instagram. The rapper’s account was actually shut down for a brief period. Playboi Carti was back with a vengeance on November 21, though. The rapper dropped a snippet for a song tentatively titled “Play This.” A snippet would have been more than enough to satisfy fans. It was the comments Carti made afterwards, though, that really got fans excited.

Playboi Carti assured fans that new music was imminent. He took the to comment section under his own snippet and told fans to prepare for an onslaught of new material in the near future. “I’m not done at all,” he wrote. Carti then claimed that the “Play This” snippet, while dope, is not even good enough to be on the I AM MUSIC final tracklist. “DIs sum cool sh*t I wanted y’all to hear,” the rapper added. “BC I love dis song but da sh*t dats on my album overly trimm.” The hype could not be more real. Carti has rarely ever been so vocal about his plans to release music.

Playboi Carti Hyped Up His Album As “Overly Trimm”

Playboi Carti also pinned a comment made by another instagram user. The user reflected on the rollout Carti has given fans thus far, and speculated as to why the rapper takes so long. “[I] realized a few years back we just go through test phases with Carti,” the user proposed. “Spends about 2-3 testing sounds through leaks. Then lands somewhere in the middle of it all.” The IG user went on to voice his admiration for Carti’s alleged approach. “The wait used to p*ss me off but you can’t rush art.” Playboi Carti evidently liked what this user had to say. Him pinning the comment to his snippet suggests that he agrees with at least part of the sentiment.

Playboi Carti has expressed reverence for the recording process and his creative muse. During a recent interview with Billboard, the rapper detailed the unorthodox way that he approaches making a song. “It’s all based on confidence. I believe in myself,” he noted. “The moment I started recording, someone came to me and said that they like my songs. I stay in the studio every day.” Carti also claimed to be aware of how his music will translate live, even before it’s done. “I’m always thinking about performing, even when I am making the music,” he added. Hopefully fans will get to see Carti perform new music sooner rather than latter.

Juice WRLD’s Final Album Unveiled In New “The Party Never Ends” Trailer

Juice WRLD will forever be one of the most impactful, beloved, and enduring musicians of the 2010s decade, a legacy that will transcend its temporal boundaries. Despite some bumps along the road since his tragic loss in 2019, it seems like his team is finally ready to leave his catalog in peace with one final posthumous album. The Party Never Ends drops on Friday, November 29, and we just got a new trailer for it featuring an old man in 2065 telling his grandchildren about the Chicago artist. It emphasizes how each of his albums have a different theme to them, and promises that this last one will be worth the wait.

After all, The Party Never Ends – as a concept for a posthumous Juice WRLD album – has been around for a long time. Sadly, despite all the hype for it and how disappointed some fans have been with how his team has handled his legacy since his death, none of those conflicting emotions could’ve prepared fans for its cover art, which proved to be quite the controversial Murakami piece.

Juice WRLD’s The Party Never Ends Trailer

Nevertheless, that won’t change the quality of the music itself, which is obviously what fans are mostly concerned with. We already got a taste of what’s to come on The Party Never Ends thanks to the “All Girls Are The Same” remix from Juice WRLD and Nicki Minaj, “AGATS2 (Insecure).” Other than that, die-hards probably expect some other leaks and unreleased material to appear on this new LP, or completely new stuff from the vault that we haven’t even heard snippets of before. Of course, fans are pretty skeptical on that front given the nature of some posthumous material, but we won’t know for sure until it lands.

Meanwhile, there could still be more Juice WRLD music approaching, as DJ Scheme recently claimed that Lil Bibby spoke about this final album plus a “greatest leaks” compilation. We still don’t have any solid confirmation on that, but it would be interesting to see what makes a tracklist and how fans would receive this. In any case, we will celebrate this incredible life and career next week, and we hope that it’s a worthy send-off to a legend gone far too soon.

Snoop Dogg & Dr. Dre Team Up With Alus For Hard-Hitting Single “Outta Da Blue”

Snoop Dogg is currently gearing up to unleash his highly anticipated album with Dr. Dre, Missionary. The project will be a follow-up to his iconic 1993 debut, Doggystyle, and is slated for release on December 13. To get listeners excited about what’s to come, the California-born rapper unveiled yet another single today, “Outta Da Blue.” It features both Dr. Dre and New Jersey songstress Alus.

They first previewed the new track at ComplexCon a few days ago. It’s also featured in the trailer for an upcoming Netflix film, “Back In Action,” which stars Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz. Aside from producing the track, fans hear Dr. Dre deliver some hard-hitting bars. The song even samples M.I.A.’s 2007 single, “Paper Planes.” The release of “Outta Da Blue” comes just weeks after Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre unveiled the star-studded Missionary tracklist, and left supporters more eager than ever to hear what they have up their sleeve.

It features the likes of BJ The Chicago Kid, Jhené Aiko, Tom Petty, Jelly Roll, Sting, Method Man, 50 Cent, Eminem, and many more. This isn’t the only new material they’ve gotten from the duo in recent weeks, however. During a live episode of Drink Champs at ComplexCon, they also debuted several other snippets from the album. They even previewed the Sting collab they’ve been teasing since this summer, which interpolates his band The Police’s “Message In A Bottle.” Already, they’ve been receiving a great deal of praise for what they’ve come up with, and fans can’t wait for the rest of Missionary.

Juice WRLD Fans Absolutely Rip Into His Team For Posthumous Album’s Horrendous Cover Art

Juice WRLD left a huge void when he left us almost five years ago, but his fans, team, loved ones, and admirers continue to celebrate his life and legacy. However, posthumous releases are never easy to handle, and can often turn disrespectful or unfulfilling in the eyes of fans. That’s exactly what’s happening with the late Chicago legend’s upcoming third posthumous album The Party Never Ends, as fans are absolutely blasting the cover art for it. It looks Takashi Murakami-inspired, but overall, it just hit a lot of fans as ugly, overly colorful, and cheap. Definitely not the reception you want for a long-teased posthumous LP for one of hip-hop’s most passionate and impacted fanbases….

The cover art for Juice WRLD’s The Party Never Ends reportedly emerged thanks to its appearance in Fortnite, as he’s one of a few rap artists collaborating with the video game for its Chapter 2 Remix update. Of course, we don’t know what he would’ve done with the game if he was still alive, but there is certainly a lot of crossover there that his team and the game’s developers and publishers want to respect and celebrate.

https://twitter.com/Kurrco/status/1859574012885569547

Meanwhile, a lot of fans don’t care as much about this album cover, of which there are many infamous examples. Instead, folks just want to hear Juice WRLD tracks that feel fully brought to life, appropriately marketed, compelling, and worthwhile. The Party Never Ends‘ lead single is the “All Girls Are The Same” remix, “AGATS2 (Insecure)” featuring Nicki Minaj, which is a dreamy reimagining of the original. Maybe this will comprise much of this new album, but the main concern is that it doesn’t feel like a soulless cash-grab that doesn’t add anything to the canon.

At least there are other artistic tributes to Juice WRLD that are much more well-received, respectful, and impressive than the cover art for The Party Never Ends. For example, his mother has a gorgeous mural of him in her recently opened brewery just outside of his home city of Chicago. Hopefully we see more of these in the near future and not eyesore album covers.

Mac Miller’s “Balloonerism” Album Revealed In A Trippy And Whimsical Trailer

Mac Miller fans will have the pleasure of kicking off their musical 2025 in a very exciting way, as his previously unreleased and long-lost album Balloonerism will officially release on January 17, 2025. For those unaware, this is an LP that he was reportedly working on in between 2013 and 2014. In other words, it was in the middle of the creative processes behind 2013’s Watching Movies With The Sound Off and 2014’s Faces, a project that actually hosted some ideas that were originally meant for Balloonerism. Given how vibrant and pivotal those sonic worlds are for the late Pittsburgh legend’s career overall, this should be a very interesting glimpse into those eras.

In fact, we also recently got an official release for Balloonerism‘s trailer, which originally played this past weekend at Tyler, The Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw carnival. It features a host of animal characters traveling through a woozy, trippy, ever-evolving, and very fantastical world, with a lot of striking imagery, gorgeous animation, and some ethereal background music. It sounds like Thundercat vocals at certain points, and Mac Miller eventually comes in via a snippet at the end.

Mac Miller’s Balloonerism Trailer

This also follows a lot more celebrations of Mac Miller’s life and legacy as of late, as the aforementioned Watching Movies With The Sound Off and Faces album recently hit their tenth anniversaries. These events came with some extra songs from the vault, such as “The Quest,” or reimagined versions of existing fan-favorites. It’s been great to see Mac’s estate treat all these releases and events with such care and respect. We all know that posthumous releases can be a pretty controversial matter, and we’re grateful that so much earnest passion and responsibility is at the forefront in this case.

Meanwhile, we’re sure that Balloonerism will prompt many more heartened reflections of Mac Miller’s music, art, legacy, life, and humanity. We still don’t really know what to expect from this new album, unless you’re one of the fans who already consumed the leaked tracks so much that this album’s been “out” for you for a long time. Now, a lot more people will indulge in that joy and celebrate Mac through the joy he shared with us.

Mac Miller’s “Balloonerism” Gets Official Release Date

During Tyler, The Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw festival last weekend, Mac Miller fans got a very special treat. The announcement arrived that his long-lost and unreleased album Balloonerism would finally get an official release. Thanks to pre-orders for vinyl, cassette, and CD versions of the LP now available on the late Pittsburgh legend’s official website, we now know that it will drop on January 17, 2025. This is right around the corner and should kick off the year for music in a pretty amazing, cathartic, celebratory, and admittedly bittersweet way. We all miss Mac a lot, but this new release will hopefully be as respectful, caring, loving, and earnest as the other posthumous treatments of his work have been so far.

This comes after a pretty consequential year for Mac Miller’s legacy, as fans everywhere enjoyed the tenth anniversary of Faces. In fact, Balloonerism was reportedly crafted in between that album and the previous 2013 effort, Watching Movies With The Sound Off. Some of its original tracks ended up on Faces, so it will be very interesting to see the artistic overlaps here. As for Watching Movies, that celebrated its tenth anniversary last year, which brought fans new official track releases such as “The Quest.”

Mac Miller’s Balloonerism Is Almost Here

Over the years, we also witnessed many artists praise Mac Miller not just for this musical legacy, but for his human spirit. “He changed my life, like, my perspective, and made me a better person,” Vince Staples shared back in 2023. “[…] Like, he would sit there and teach me how to make sure I’m on beat, and like rap with certain energy. It took a long time… I was over everyday with nothing else to do for, like, months, and he was teaching me how to rap on beat, how to project. […] [He was] introducing me to people I had no business meeting, because I wasn’t at the skill level yet. I was talking to his mom today.”

You can check out pre-orders for Balloonerism by clicking here. One of Mac Miller’s most legendary unreleased albums is finally seeing the light of day, and amid other new music rumors surrounding him, we hope to keep celebrating his life and career with the same joy he brought to us.

Amine Showcases His Musical Range On Eclectic “.mp3s” EP

Amine has been keeping a low profile the last few years. He dropped a chilled out collab album with KAYTRANADA in 2023, but fans have to go all the way back to 2021 for a solo release. This is partially why the .mp3s EP is so exciting. It proves Amine is back up and running. There are four songs littered throughout this brief project, and we’re happy to report that all of them are good. They stand on their own, yet together they provide a broad picture of Amine’s range as a rapper. Fans already got to hear two of the songs before the EP’s release: “Passenger Princess” and “Adam.”

“Passenger Princess” is the most traditional piece of hip hop on the EP. Amine and Smino trade bars over a catchy soul chop. The duo have chemistry, and while they share eccentric deliveries, they sound varied enough to stand out. “Adam” is an guitar based ballad that sees Amine shift down into a Brockhampton sound. It works, and proves that he may even be an underrated vocalist. The new songs on here, “s2wik” and “Wingz” are similarly varied. The former is one of the strangest songs Amine has dropped yet, a tiny, glitchy electronic ballad with Autotune. “Wingz” sees him dig back into traditional rap territory alongside Cardo Got Wings. It’s brief, it’s fun, and you’ll like it.

YTB Fatt Keeps It Short And Simple With New Album “The Richest Foxx”

YTB Fatt has a tricky flow to replicate. He sounds like he’s running out of breath at times. Other times, he sounds like he just woke up and realized he was in the middle of a verse when he dozed off. These aren’t inherently bad things. They give his vocals a lot of character. It helps when he keeps his projects concise, and refrains from loading them up with tons of skits and repetitive songs. The Richest Foxx wisely keeps things short and simple. At eight songs and 20 minutes, the album allows YTB Fatt to flex his unique flow and songwriting skills over songs that boast a lot of replay value.

“FREE SMURK, BIG EDDIE & CAM” is the most heartfelt song on the album, musically and lyrically. The mournful piano keys sound fantastic over the snappy drum beat. The lyrics, meanwhile, see YTB Fatt wax poetic about friends who have been locked up. He sounds undeniably passionate talking about the likes of Lil Durk and Big Eddie. It’s hard not to be won over. “FATT DISS” and “HAHA” maintain the gritty menace of the opener, but they give YTB Fatt the chance to flash a bit more charisma. “HAHA” is an especially catchy song thanks to the rapper’s nonstop flow. The song takes two minutes to introduce drums, which means YTB Fatt is basically rhyming a capella. It’s a creative flourish unexpected as it is welcome.

Travis Scott Sends Fans Into Frenzy By Teasing New Music: “I’m Coming”

Travis Scott had is ready to blow minds. Again. The rapper has not slowed down since the release of his 2023 album, UTOPIA, as she’s spent most of the year touring the world. On Wednesday, Scott opted to close the book on UTOPIA, and look to the future. He confirmed that he would be appearing as one of the headliners at Coachella in 2025. More importantly, though, the rapper took to Instagram to hint at brand new music during the first quarter of the year. A “new chapter” that has fans absolutely thrilled.

The IG post came on the heels of the Coachella announcement. Travis Scott left a comment under the festival sheet with a laundry list of promises. “New chapter,” the rapper wrote. “New performance, new Coachella set by La Flame and Cactus Jack. First of its kind.” Not exciting enough? Scott decided to up the ante by giving fans a tentative start date for his aforementioned “new chapter.” And it’s right around the corner. “PS,” Travis Scott added. “Y’all n**gas got til April cause I’m coming.” It’s impressive that the rapper will reportedly have new music ready in five months.

Travis Scott Told Fans His “Next Chapter” Starts In April

Those who have been keeping up with Travis Scott throughout 2024, however, know that he has been hard at work in between tour dates. The rapper implied that he has been recording songs at every tour stop during his Circus Maximus Tour back in January. A month later, he posted some exciting messages for fans on his Instagram Story. “I love music so f**king much,” he wrote. “And for the record. We will be backkkkkk. I gotta kick a new gear since they think it’s play time.” There was an extended period of time in which Travis Scott was quiet about new music.

All that changed, though, when he gave an interview to Cultured in September. Travis Scott told the outlet that he is absolutely back in “album mode” and is eager to share his new musical direction with the fans. “I’m gonna be back in New York,” Scott explained. “I’m back in album mode. I’ve been working on music and st every day on tour. When I’m doing the stadiums, because they’re sold out, I can see the music for what it is. I’m f**ing amped.” Now that the fans have more information, so are they.
