Patrick Beverley Claims He Wanted Lakers To Trade Him

Patrick Beverley is someone who is not afraid to speak his mind, whether that be out on the court, or on his podcast. Overall, Beverley is one of those players who is known for being a gritty guy. His trash talk is next level, and he is a hard person to play against. However, in the last couple of years, some have felt that Beverley does too much talking for someone who doesn’t make a big impact on the score sheet. Nevertheless, there are plenty of teams out there who still think he is worth signing.

That is exactly what we saw at the trade deadline as Beverley was sent to the Orlando Magic. Although the Magic decided to buy out his deal, Beverley immediately found a new home. The point guard signed with the Chicago Bulls, and he even had the Golden State Warriors calling his phone. Most reporting around the Beverley trade noted that it was the Lakers who were shopping him around. On his podcast, however, Beverley made the claim that it was he who requested a move out of L.A.

Patrick Beverley Tells All

“Tell the viewers what really, really, went down in LA,” Beverley said. “I don’t mean cup of tea type of shit, but you know, you know. To some people, it could be that Pat Bev got traded when all reality I didn’t like what was going on, and let’s find a better home for me. Not so, that he ain’t good enough let’s get rid of him. All that shit was my decision. So, you gotta think, I’m making the decision, it was my decision, they honored my request, but at the same time, I’m sitting here without a home.”

This is definitely an interesting revelation, although it is hard to tell if he being truthful here. Beverley is known to embellish, and the Lakers did seem pretty excited to get rid of him at the deadline. Regardless, these comments made it clear that there was some dysfunction within that Lakers locker room. Let us know what you think about all of this, down below. Shannon Sharpe Dissed By Grizzlies After Lakers Loss

Shannon Sharpe is one of the best sports talk personalities in the game right now. Overall, he is the reason why Undisputed is even watchable. Were it not for him, Skip would be painful on his own. However, this has not come without a bit of controversy. On top of some of his run-ins with Skip on the show, Shannon found himself at the center of an issue with none other than the Memphis Grizzlies. While sitting courtside at a game, he began chirping with Dillon Brooks. Subsequently, numerous players got involved and it made for an iconic courtside moment.

Since that time, Shannon Sharpe has apologized for his behavior. He made it crystal clear that what he did was not good and that he hopes to learn from what he did. Meanwhile, the Grizzlies went on a bit of a losing streak after the altercation. Overall, fans were excited about this as the public turned on Ja Morant and the Grizz. Although, on Tuesday night, the Grizzlies took down the Lakers who are in a fight for a playoff spot. After the game, their social media person made sure to hand Sharpe a swift L.

Shannon Sharpe Takes The L

In the tweet up above, you can see a picture of Shannon Sharpe from that fateful night in Los Angeles. In the picture, he is pointing toward the court. However, the image has been edited to depict an L at the end of Sharpe’s fingertips. It is all very clever and especially petty. Although Sharpe might not be a fan of these tactics, the Grizzlies fanbase will certainly be cracking a smile or two today.

For the Grizzlies, this win is especially bittersweet because now, the Lakers have a much harder road to the postseason. These two teams clearly do not like one another, and that has been made apparent. However, there is a very real possibility that they meet each other in the first round. If that happens, we will have narratives and hot takes for days. Let us know what you thought about last night’s game, in the comments section down below.

Anthony Davis Has A Message For LeBron James

Anthony Davis is going to have to step up and lead this Lakers team through a very difficult stretch of basketball. As we reported yesterday, LeBron James is going to miss a significant amount of games over the next couple of weeks. Overall, this is due to a foot injury that will be re-evaluated in about two weeks from now. Ultimately, this is horrible timing for the Lakers as they are trying to get themselves into the postseason. Although, without LeBron, that task is going to be a whole lot harder.

Last night, the Lakers played against the Memphis Grizzlies, who are the second-ranked team in the Western Conference. In the end, it was the Grizzlies who were able to come out on top. Consequently, the road to the playoffs has become significantly more difficult for the purple and gold. They will have to win a higher percentage of games to end the season, and there is no telling if they can actually pull that off. The Lakers are now relying on AD, who had a message for James after last night’s game.

Anthony Davis Speaks

“I don’t want him to rush back early,” Davis said. “I want him to get completely right and healthy before he comes back. It’s on us to step up and win basketball games.” Rushing back early would be the worst possible thing for LeBron to do. However, it is clear that Anthony Davis needs some help. The Lakers were able to improve their roster at the trade deadline, but they still aren’t as good as some of the other teams in the West. Needless to say, fans in Los Angeles better start praying for a miracle.

As for the Grizzlies, they are a team trying to get back on track. They went on a huge losing skid recently, but seem to be back in the driver’s seat. Overall, they are a team to watch out for as the playoffs approach in April. Let us know your thoughts on the Lakers and Grizzlies’ chances, in the comments down below. LeBron James & Patrick Mahomes Bond During Viral Interaction

LeBron James is one of the biggest draws in the entire NBA. Every single night, fans make their way to the arena just to see him do what he does best. However, fans will not be seeing him in a Lakers uniform anytime in the immediate future. Overall, this is because he injured his foot on Sunday against the Dallas Mavericks. He is expected to miss about two to three weeks with his injury, and from there, he will be re-evaluated. It is a huge blow to the Lakers’ playoff hopes, and fans are hoping for the best.

However, it should be noted that James was able to play through this injury against the Mavericks. It is actually pretty miraculous that he was able to pull that off. He told people on the court that he heard his foot pop, but somehow, he kept going. Subsequently, his team went on a huge second-half run that allowed them to pull off an epic comeback against Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. Moreover, it gave him a reason to bond with none other than Patrick Mahomes.

LeBron x Mahomes

In the video clip above, you can see LeBron’s interaction with Mahomes, who was sitting courtside. LeBron was on the sideline when he started chatting with the two-time Super Bowl champion. That is when James said, “you know what it is playin’ with a fu**ed up ankle, huh?” Of course, Mahomes had injured his ankle in the NFL playoffs. Additionally, he reinjured it during the Super Bowl, although he was still able to lead a second-half comeback. For LeBron, however, it is clear that his injury isn’t something he can come back from that quickly.

Hopefully, he can find some of that Mahomes magic over the course of the next few weeks. At this point, the Lakers are desperate and they will take James regardless of his health. Although, if the Lakers want to preserve his career, then it is best to let him rest right now. This is a developing story, so stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the sports world.

Kevin Durant Gets Honest About Kyrie Irving Trade Request

Kevin Durant is currently a member of the Phoenix Suns. Overall, this would not have happened without Kyrie Irving and his infamous trade request. With Kyrie claiming to want a long-term deal, the Nets made it clear that they had some reservations. Consequently, Irving was offended and he decided to ask for a move. Subsequently, he was traded to the Dallas Mavericks which then led to the Durant trade.

Now, the entire Western Conference has been shaken up. Although some fans hate how quickly the NBA can change, others find this exciting. The West is going to be extremely interesting come playoff time, and in the eyes of many, the Suns are favorites to win it all. However, there are others who are curious about Durant’s feelings toward Kyrie. On the most recent episode of The ETCs, Durant revealed exactly how everything made him feel.

Kevin Durant Speaks

“I’m disappointed that we didn’t finish the season, but I also know that we’re all our own separate entities,” Durant said. “We all move and do the things that we wanna do for our careers. I can’t fault somebody for doing that, even though it might have been at our expense as a team. But that’s who he is and that’s what he wanted to and I can’t have a problem with that. I don’t wanna act like I wasn’t upset that we didn’t finish the season because I love playing with Kai, I wanted to see where we can go with that because we were both playing at a high level. … We haven’t had a conversation but eventually we will.”

Clearly, Durant and Kyrie are still cool with one another. At the end of the day, Kyrie made a decision and KD respects that. Although, there is no doubt that these two could have made a run together in Brooklyn. Now, it seems like KD is much better suited for a deep playoff run. Let us know what you think of KD’s remarks, in the comments below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news from the sports world.

LeBron James Injury Timeline Revealed

Without LeBron James, the Los Angeles Lakers are a team that is fairly lost and confused out on the court. They have struggled without him on the floor, and if they want to make the playoffs, LeBron needs to be out there playing at his best. However, that isn’t exactly how things are going to go, moving forward. This is because, on Sunday night, James hurt his foot while playing against the Dallas Mavericks. Although he was able to finish out the game, he was still in a considerable amount of pain following the match. So much so that he was seen limping in the arena.

At this point in the season, the Lakers only have about 22 games left to play. They need to string together a winning streak, especially since they are only a few games back of sixth place. Unfortunately, doing this will be that much more difficult without LeBron on the court. Overall, the team will now need to rely on its younger guns, as well as Anthony Davis. Davis is someone who is injury prone, and now, the Lakers need to pray that James can come back in time for a late push.

LeBron Has Ways To Go

Earlier today, we reported that LeBron James would be missing an indefinite amount of time. However, he had not been ruled out for the entire season. Now, according to Shams Charania, we have a clearer sense of LeBron’s injury timeline. As he explains, “LeBron James is expected to miss an indefinite amount of time… I’m told likely at least 2 or 3 weeks.” After two weeks, the team will reevaluate him and then make an official decision on what to do.

Overall, Lakers fans can’t do anything except hope for the best. LeBron is someone who has prided himself on his ability to be available. Having said that, there is a very good chance he is able to come back and be successful. Whether or not the Lakers will be out of the playoff picture by then, still remains to be seen. Stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the basketball world.

NBA Reportedly Wants To Change Overtime Rules: Details

Adam Silver has tried to turn the NBA into one of the most progressive sports leagues in North America. However, we do not mean this in the political sense. Although the NBA is certainly progressive, we mean this in the sense that Silver wants the league to evolve. Whether that means initiatives like the play-in tournament or potential mid-season championships, there is no doubt that the NBA likes to try new things.

With a new CBA on the horizon, it has become crystal clear that the NBA has to evolve further. Overall, this is especially true when things like load management are plaguing the game. Moreover, there have been some issues as of late with broadcasts that are running way too long. This is the result of overtime games that have gone to two or three overtime frames. Now, however, the league is looking to potentially implement a rule that would shorten overtime.

NBA Overtime Rules

According to Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report, the league is considering a new rule where there is a target score. The first team to hit the target score wins the game. “That would prevent overlong broadcasts and overloading player minutes, like Los Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard’s playing 46 minutes in a double-overtime loss to the Sacramento Kings on Friday,” Pincus explained. This is one of those changes that would certainly be polarizing for fans. Some believe the players are being coddled, while others just want to see traditional basketball at the highest level.

Of course, none of these rule changes have been confirmed. It is going to take a lot for the NBA to pass something like this. However, if they did make it happen, we would see a drastic shift in the way overtime is played. Let us know what you think of this potential change, in the comments section down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the sports world.

Bam Adebayo Calls Out Rudy Gobert & Marcus Smart

Bam Adebayo has quickly become one of the most beloved players on the Miami Heat. Overall, he is one of those players who is a huge factor in the success of his team. During that NBA bubble run in 2020, Adebayo was able to show people exactly what he can on the floor. Although the Heat have yet to get back to the NBA Finals since then, Adebayo has still been fantastic. While there have been some inconsistencies here and there, there is no doubt that Adebayo is part of a Heat core that will last a very long time.

When people think about Adebayo, they think about his defense. There have been multiple seasons as of late in which people felt like he should have been defensive player of the year. However, he has yet to win the award. Instead, the honor was given to Rudy Gobert in 2021. Subsequently, Marcus Smart got the award back in 2022. As it turns out, Adebayo is not very happy about this. At the end of the day, he believes that he is the rightful owner of those awards.

Bam Adebayo Speaks

The Heat star made this revelation while speaking to Taylor Rooks of Bleacher Report. As you can see up above, he believes he is better because he can defend every single position on the court. Overall, he believes Marcus Smart cannot guard the center position. Moreover, he noted that Rudy Gobert does not defend well in the playoffs as his style doesn’t “translate.” These were some very strong words, and we’re sure Smart and Gobert were less than impressed with what they were hearing. It’s a fair way to feel when you are being called out for seemingly no reason.

When you make these kinds of comments, you have to find a way to back them up. Consequently, there is going to be pressure on Adebayo to perform over these last few weeks. This is especially true as the Heat are on a bit of a losing skid. Let us know what you think of his comments, down below. Shannon Sharpe Rips Skip Bayless For His LeBron James Hypocrisy

Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless have gotten into their fair share of unique altercations while on Undisputed. Of course, none of these altercations are physical. They are simply some verbal jousting sessions that always seem to elicit a ton of reactions on social media. Overall, it is clear that Shannon and Skip are professionals who aren’t going to break up, anytime soon. Although some fans think that Shannon hates Skip, Sharpe has made it clear that this is not actually the case. Yet again, their supposed feud is just a case of social media getting ahead of itself.

Today, however, Shannon and Skip found themselves getting into yet another heated conversation. This time, it was centered around none other than LeBron James. The topic of conversation here was pretty simple. James is now out with a foot injury, and he could be gone for a couple of weeks. Overall, this is a huge blow to the Lakers’ playoff chances. However, Skip seems to think James is simply lying about his injury.

Shannon Sharpe Goes Off

As you can imagine, this set Shannon Sharpe off. Sharpe is a huge LeBron James fan, and at times, he has had some information about the Lakers star. In the clip above, you can see Sharpe raising his voice at Skip as he questions his co-host’s biases. Moreover, he calls out Bayless for being a huge hypocrite whenever it comes to LeBron. For instance, there was a time when Skip took Tom Brady’s surgery claims at face value. Although, he will not do the same thing for LeBron. Subsequently, Skip questioned Sharpe in regard to what he knows about the injury. He even said that Rich Paul controls the narrative when it comes to LeBron and that we cannot trust the Klutch Sports camp.

Overall, Sharpe was not having it, and it made for a very entertaining segment. However, it has become obvious that Bayless has an agenda as it pertains to the Lakers superstar. At this point, his views will not change, no matter how much Shannon yells at him. Let us know what you thought of this clip, in the comments below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news from around the sports world.

LaMelo Ball Hit With Horrible Injury News

LaMelo Ball is easily one of the most fun young players in the entire NBA. Overall, he is someone who plays the game with a lot of jump in his step. Additionally, he is one of those guys who is always doing a great job when it comes to highlight reel plays. His passes are off-the-charts impressive, and there is no doubt that he will be someone to watch for a very long time. If the Hornets were to start surrounding him with other stars, then that team would most definitely launch themselves into the postseason.

Unfortunately, LaMelo has been a bit injury prone over the last few years. He has gone down with a few ankle injuries and they have kept him out of the lineup for some time. Consequently, the Hornets have sunken to the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings. At this point, they are one of those teams hoping to get Victor Wembanyama. Last night, Melo got injured yet again, this time while playing the Detroit Pistons. Although his team won, Melo had to leave the game early with a non-contact ankle injury.

LaMelo Ball Goes Down

When the game was over, Shams Charania of The Athletic took to Twitter and reported that Melo had suffered a right ankle fracture. Simply put, the point guard is now done for the season. There are only about 20 games left in the season, with a month of action to go. Having said that, it seems like the best course of action would be to shut LaMelo down and allow him to come back next year. It’s not ideal, but the Hornets really have no choice right now.

Hopefully, LaMelo is able to come back stronger than ever. He is the face of the Hornets, and their hopes are riding on his shoulders. However, Michael Jordan should probably think about giving his young point guard some help. It would go a long way in making sure that Ball isn’t left having to carry a team. All while putting tremendous strain on his body. Stay tuned to HNHH for all of the latest updates from around the sports world.
