GloRilla Details Relationship With Beyonce: “She Always Be So Nice To Me”

GloRilla reflected on her relationship with Beyonce during a conversation with Ryan Clark, Fred Taylor, and Channing Crowder on The Pivot Podcast, earlier this week. In doing so, she recalled meeting her on multiple occasions and had nothing but praise for her personality.

“Beyonce, I just met her again yesterday. I met her at the Grammys last year,” Glorilla began. She explained that after presenting an award she walked past Beyonce’s dressing room and asked if she could say hello. “She always be so nice to me and I feel like she loves me as much as I love her. I get super geeked everytime I meet her.”

It isn’t the only time she’s brought up her Beyonce fandom in recent days. Appearing on Club Shay Shay with Shannon Sharpe, earlier this month, she admitted she frequently DMs the iconic singer despite getting little acknowledgment. “I be talking to myself in Beyonce’s DM,” she said. “I don’t even think she be on Instagram for real. But I’m just like a big Beyonce fan, so like I’m delusional about Beyonce.” Back in 2023, GloRilla also revealed that she was once fired from a job at Nike for singing Beyonce’s music on the job. “Me and my friend, Gloss Up, we were singin’ a Beyonce song and we got fired from Nike,” she told HipHopDX. Ice Spice Joins Denzel Washington In Cast For Spike Lee’s “High & Low”

Ice Spice will be joining Denzel Washington in the cast for Spike Lee’s highly-anticipated reinterpretation of Akira Kurosawa’s legendary thriller, High and Low. While it marks the Bronx rapper’s first time working with Lee, it will also be her feature film debut. It will be the fifth time Lee and Washington have collaborated over the years and their first time doing so since 2006’s Inside Man. The news comes after Spice and Lee previously posed for a photo together in Brooklyn, earlier this year.

Kurosawa released High and Low back in 1963 and it remains one of the Japanese filmmaker’s most iconic movies, along with Yojimbo, Ikiru, Seven Samurai, Ran, and more. The story follows a businessman torn between gaining executive control and helping an employee by lending him the money to free his child from kidnappers.

Speaking on TODAY with Hoda & Jenna, she described it as her acting debut. “For me, that will act as an introduction to acting,” she said. “Which is crazy, because that’s not a lot of people’s introduction. It’s a lot of pressure because it’s such a big platform. But regardless, I’m grateful I got to have that experience. It was definitely a challenge delivering the lines and stuff like that.”

BG Teases Upcoming Lil Wayne Collab: “He Gave Me Mixtape Weezy”

BG is back! The New Orleans rapper has been out of the spotlight for a long time, but he appears to be hard at work on a comeback album. The most exciting possibility of the B.G. comeback, of course, is an opportunity to hear him rhyme alongside fellow Hot Boys members like Juvenile and Lil Wayne, which is evidently in the works! B.G. hyped up his album during recent Instagram Live, and he confirmed that he’s been in touch with Wayne about a collaboration.

B.G. told Instagram Live viewers that he not only has a Wayne verse in hand for his album, but that he was able to coax out a classic performance from the Young Money mogul. “Weezy sent me the verse back for the album,” he noted. “I told him I wanted the mixtape Weezy. He gave me the mixtape Weezy.” The “Bling Bling” rapper went on to hype up the Hot Boys reunion tour, which does not yet have a legit start date. “We got this tour coming up, this reunion tour,” he claimed. “It’s definitely on the way. Fresh, Suga Slim and Weezy.”

B.G.’s confidence regarding the tour is encouraging. However, it does contradict what fans have been told about the tour from Juvenile. In March 2024, Juve told TMZ that the reunion has been put on hold due to tensions between various Hot Boys members. “No negativity for me, no negativity for me, man,” he explained. “You know, with me, I always say it’s gon’ happen. It’s gon’ happen… Time heals. We gotta let ’em simmer down a little bit, and, trust me, it’s happening.”

The delay may actually benefit B.G. given his recent legal troubles. The rapper was behind bars from 2012 to 2023, but a recent probation violation could result in him being locked back up. He addressed the situation during the aforementioned Instagram Live. “I ran into a hiccup with my little situation,” he noted. Still, B.G. is confident that he will be able to sort it out and get his career back on track. “I’ma get past it,” he added. “I need y’all to know that I definitely didn’t jump out there and do nothing that I ain’t have permission to do. It was just a lapse in communication.”

As it turns out, one of those people is none other than Joe Budden. Although Budden has defended Lennox at times on his show, the R&B songstress simply does not like him. A few months ago, she even launched a pretty scathing rant in his direction. Subsequently, he responded in a not-so-kind fashion, calling her a “bag of mixed nuts.”

It’s been an interesting time for Lennox, who was not invited to perform at Dreamville despite being on the label. Furthermore, she got to watch her label boss give an apology to Kendrick Lamar, and subsequently get shamed for it. This ties back to Joe Budden as Budden went on his podcast today and spoke on Cole’s apology. He had a nuanced view of it, however, it was an opinion that would definitely upset a Cole fan. “Yung Miami you might as well come to the hood and come catch this fade b*tch…” she wrote in one post. “I want my fade, b*tch. Either you come and get your *ss beat or you cuttin’ me a check. B*tches career so far down the drain b*tches need inspiration.” She also shared a clip of the track on Twitter to further argue her point.
