Travis Scott Shares “CIRCUS MAXIMUS” Film To YouTube

One of the most mysterious parts of Travis Scott’s UTOPIA rollout was the accompanying film Circus Maximus. The movie featured contributions from a number of beloved directors and featured plenty of music from the album itself. Screenings of the movie in the hours leading up to the record’s release were the first taste fans got of elements like Beyonce’s surprise feature. While information on the film was still difficult to come by even a few weeks after its release, Scott has helped clear things up. The movie is now available to watch in its entirety for free on YouTube.

The 75-minute movie was posted to Travis Scott’s YouTube channel earlier today. He also posted 4 accompanying clips from the movie each serving as an individual music video for four of the album’s songs. The album’s opener “HYAENA,” fan-favorite “SIRENS,” standout early track “MODERN JAM” and Beyonce-assisted “DELRESTO (ECHOES)” all got their own videos released simultaneously with the full film.

Travis Scott Shares “UTOPIA” Movie To YouTube

By pretty much any metric imaginable, UTOPIA has been one of the biggest events in all of music this year. The album had a massive first week on the charts, debuting at number one on the Billboard 200. It sold almost 500k units in its first week. That made it the third biggest opening week of 2023 so far behind Morgan Wallen and Taylor Swift. The album became the first rap project since Certified Lover Boy to spend consecutive weeks at the top spot earlier this week.

Unsurprisingly, a recent Travis Scott live show was caked in controversy. After originally announcing a show would take place in Egypt, it was ultimately canceled and moved to Rome. When the show was actually played, it didn’t go off perfectly. Over 60 fans in the crowd were injured when someone sprayed pepper spray into the audience, and the show reportedly caused a small earthquake. What do you think of Travis Scott’s new CIRCUS MAXIMUS movie? Let us know in the comment section below.

Jay Worthy, Wiz Khalifa & OHGEESY Team Up For New Single, “From The Jump”

Jay Worthy, Wiz Khalifa, and OHGEESY just came together to craft a club-ready West Coast banger with their new single “From The Jump.” While this is a pretty atypical collab considering all artists involved’s typical output, it’s a welcome and successful crossover. Moreover, each MC is able to fit the sunny and bounce-heavy beat with ease, as lengthy or small as their contributions may be. For example, Jay and Geesy come through with some elaborate verses that see them flexing and boasting about their possessions and greatness. On the other hand, Wiz takes over chorus duties, complimenting the instrumental well with his vocal melody and tone.

Furthermore, the beat contains some infectious piano leads, plucky bass, and crisp fast hi-hats to give it that West Coast flavor. However, this might not be the pallet you’re used to if you’re a Jay Worthy fan, although OHGEESY certainly floats on this with ease considering that it’s right up his sonic alley. Readers might know Worthy for his collaborations with the likes of Harry Fraud, on which he flexes his lyrical pen a little bit more. Still, there’s more than one way to make a great song, and it will be at the very least refreshing for you to hear him tackle this. If anything, it just sets up his success for more experimentation and lane-switching in the future.

Meanwhile, the Pittsburgh and Taylor Gang legend kind of hops on anything and everything when it comes to production styles. As such, his delivery and energy unsurprisingly resonates on “From The Jump.” He’s on a new music run of his own, so hopefully these rappers make some more heat for fans soon. Missy Elliott Reveals Hilarious Tidbit About “The Rain” Music Video

Missy Elliott’s music video for her 1997 hit “The Rain” was recently crowned the best rap MV of all time by Rolling Stoneand for good reason. Still, there’s a lot about the legendary visual to uncover, especially when it comes to the even more legendary MC’s experiences concerning it. Moreover, Misdemeanor recently took to Twitter (now X) on Thursday (August 10) to share her excitement about the recognition. In addition, she also shared some interesting tidbits about the music video that put its greatness in more comical, but equally awe-inspiring context. After all, sometimes the behind-the-scenes look can be more illuminating than any released video.

“Fun fact I had to go to a gas station in Brooklyn NY to get air in this blow up suit,” Missy Elliott revealed. “The suit blew up so big I couldn’t fit in the car so I had to walk back to set down the street in this outfit in BROOKLYN. Dem ppl was riding pass like she must be high,” she concluded with some laughing emojis. Also, the Virginia native shared a video of the gas station prep in question with another remark about the process.

Missy Elliot Reflects On “The Rain” Music Video

“High as a kite,” Missy Elliott jokingly shared. “I wonder if anybody from Brooklyn saw me that day walking down the street in that hot a** suit. if you look at the music video it had deflated by the time I got back to set so some scenes the suit flat after all that walking.” Of course, this is part of a lot of recent celebration of her illustrious career, a lot of which came from her biggest fan, Lil Wayne. Recently, Weezy revealed that the reason he liked Drake so much is because he sang like her.

“Before there was Drake and people who were rapping and singing, Missy was doing that,” he stated to The New York Times. “That captivated me, and I was moved by that. It made me want to do it. That’s why I loved Drake when I met Drake.” Beyond a doubt, the 52-year-old birthed a lot of approaches to hip-hop that influenced some of its biggest players today. Look forward to more flowers for the legend in the future. With that in mind, stick around on HNHH for the lates news and updates on Missy Elliott.

Lil Uzi Vert Spotted Filming A New Music Video

Earlier this year Lil Uzi Vert dropped their new album Pink Tape. The project became the first rap album of 2023 to hit number 1 on the Billboard 200. It’s gone on to plant a number of songs in the hot 100 on top of its impressive debut. Uzi has been teasing new material for weeks. They’ve been working on a new project called Barter 16 which pays tribute to Young Thug. For the project, Uzi has been working with some of Young Thug’s frequent collaborators like London On Da Track and Birdman. Now, Uzi has a music video coming soon though what it’s for is uncertain.

A clip started making the rounds earlier today of Lil Uzi Vert shooting a new music video. The clip sees the rapper lit up with red lights while a song echoes through the walls around them. While it isn’t confirmed which song the video is for many fans in the comments have speculated. The leading theory is that it’s for the recently announced DJ Khaled single dropping tonight. The song features Uzi alongside Lil Baby and Future. It’s set to serve as the lead single for a new album called TIL NEXT TIME coming later this year.

Lil Uzi Vert Music Video In The Making

Lil Uzi Vert has stayed busy recently. In another clip that emerged recently, they were in the studio recording new music with Luh Tyler. They’re a fan of many younger artists including Yeat who developed a pretty close relationship with Uzi. In an interview with GQ Uzi said that when they left rehab Yeat was one of the first people to visit them and they immediately began recording music.

Uzi found themselves in some hot water recently after comparing Christianity to a cult. Uzi has often come under fire for various references to the occult with some even going as far as saying they’ve tried to conjure the devil. The doubling down in their comments surely won’t help with those who are already critics. What do you think about Lil Uzi Vert working on a new music video? Let us know in the comment section below.

Sexyy Red Flexes On Haters, Samples Ben Shapiro In New “I’m The Sh*t” Music Video

Sexyy Red has dropped off a new music video for her Hood Hottest Princess track, “I’m The Sh*t.” The rapper flexes on haters in her new video, posing on a bubblegum pink whip and showing off her accomplishments. In typical Sexyy Red fashion, the video features countless stacks, fierce rhymes, and a ton of twerking. The video also leads with a snippet of Ben Shapiro, one of the St. Louis rapper’s most notable critics. He famously roasted Sexyy Red for her hit song “Pound Town,” back in June. Shapiro also went on to tear into her followup collaboration with Nicki Minaj, “Pound Town 2.”

The conservative commentator, as expected, roasted both of the explicit tracks. Now, however, Sexyy has managed to use his diss to her advantage. Her new music video leads with a complimentary, albeit sarcastic, quote from Shapiro’s video. He’s heard dubbing her “one of the great pieces of art in the history of Western civilization,” which acts as the perfect primer to kick off “I’m The Sh*t.”

“I’m The Sh*t” Music Video

Sexyy Red successfully drives home the point that she’s a “bad b*tch” in her latest video, performing for crowds of screaming fans. The rapper is no stranger to hate, having been a magnet for it ever since “Pound Town” blew up. She’s consistently proven that she “don’t give no f*ck,” however, always finding a way to brush it off or clap back.

Earlier this week, Rolling Ray had some choice words for Sexyy Red, taking aim at her appearance on Twitter. She had shared some photos of herself posing with a stack of cash, to which he replied “U look terrible friend.” His diss continued, “but u going keep that money on u so I ain’t mad! We all got our days. I still love u.” Sexyy Red responded, simply sharing a photo showing a pile of money in her lap and asking him if he needs a “new chair.”

Cousin Stizz Is Flying “Solo” On New Single

Cousin Stizz is keeping the releases coming this year, following up his last single “Coming For Everything” featuring Tony Shhnow. Moreover, he just released the track “Solo” with an accompanying music video, bringing back some warm and woozy West Coast vibes both in production and flow. Of course, the Massachusetts MC has played with this sound a lot before, but it always takes new listeners aback when they tap into the Boston native and hear something that sounds like it could’ve come out of L.A. Regardless, it’s a vibrant and enjoyable display of Stizz’s measured and syncopated flow, plus his ear for breezy beats that could soundtrack a sunny day.

Furthermore, reverb-heavy and funky guitar strums lead the way, with too many effects on it to even notice it’s a string instrument. In fact, it could be a synth, but when it comes to keys, there are other soft piano leads throughout the track that overtake it melodically. In addition, there’s the trademark bouncy bass hits, a sharp percussion pattern, and a great bed for Cousin Stizz to flex his flow on. While he cycles through a few different schemes, it always keeps its focus on the individual bar rather than stringing them all together perfectly. Overall, it’s a pretty dynamic performance, and that’s exactly what makes it stand out when compared to other instrumentals and songs structures in this vein.

Meanwhile, it seems like the 31-year-old could be gearing up for another full-length project with these recent singles. His last project, Just For You, came out in February of 2022, and had a lot of highlights and career-defining moments. Saweetie’s “SHOT O’ CLOCK” BTS Photos Channel Her Inner Cleopatra With Giant Snakes

Artists like Aaliyah and Britney Spears previously paved the way for using wild animals in their visuals and performances, but modern starlets like Saweetie continue to keep the trend alive. Last weekend, the California native gave us two new singles – “BIRTHDAY” and “SHOT O’ CLOCK.” After teaming up with Tyga and her boyfriend, YG, for the former track, the fashionista collaborated with a few huge snakes to film the music video for the latter, which landed on Thursday (August 3).

In the visual for “SHOT O’ CLOCK,” Saweetie beautifully channelled her inner Cleopatra. In her usual fashion, the Icy Girl left little to the imagination in several of her looks, including a sultry silver bodysuit that puts her perfectly sculpted curves on display. On Friday morning, her Instagram feed lit up with a photo dump showing off her body, as well as the black and white reptiles she had the opportunity to get up close and personal with while filming.

As per usual, Saweetie’s glam is entirely on point, from her long black hair cascading down her back to her beautiful blue eyeshadow bringing out the brown in her eyes. Of course, there are always those with someone to say in the comments. This time around, it appears the “Best Friend” hitmaker’s main criticism is comparing herself to Cleopatra. Besides her new “SHOT O’ CLOCK” and “BIRTHDAY” singles, Saweetie has also been in the news in connection with the Barbie movie.

While she didn’t actually appear on the star-studded soundtrack, industry insiders have since confirmed that Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice’s “Barbie World” collab originally belonged to the Icy Girl. While this easily could’ve caused tension between the rap divas, Saweetie made it clear there’s no bad blood by naming Minaj on her list of dream collaborators. Read more about that below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Steph Curry Cameos In Tobe Nwigwe Music Video

Steph Curry has a new documentary out on Apple TV. Steph Curry: Underrated is essentially Curry’s coming-of-age story. It’s the journey Curry took from high school to Davidson to becoming one of the NBA’s greatest players. Every step of the way, people have doubted Curry’s ability. His dad’s alma mater, Virginia Tech, only offered him a walk-on spot due to this 160lb frame. So Curry went to Davidson, where he took the mid-major to the elite eight in 2008. Meanwhile, the Hokies made the Big Dance in 2007, Curry’s freshman season, before going on a decade-long March Madness drought.

As part of the show, Tobe Nwigwe was drafted to create a befitting track. “Lil Fish, Big Pond” is exactly that. The song is incorporated into the documentary and includes some very appropriate lyrics. “Look how things have changed, they know I’m the one/ Daddy taught me how to flick my wrist, I’m my father’s son/ Think I’m pistol-packing how that ratchet on me like a gun/ They should put the basket in a casket after I am done.” But more than just that, Curry repaid the favor by appearing in the song’s music video.

Curry’s Nwigwe Cameo

The video for the song goes all in on the fishing imagery. This includes a bucket hat-wearing Curry fishing on an imaginary lake. Curry’s main role in the video is to rap along to the aforementioned verse. Steph Curry: Underrated is currently streaming on Apple TV. Curry begins his 15th year in the NBA in 2023 and is looking to bounce back from a down year for the Golden State Warriors.

Nwigwe also shared his excitement at working on the project in an interview with The Source. “Oh it’s phenomenal. Steph’s story, his journey is an immaculate display of what’s possible, as it relates to achieving greatness. For anybody in the world, no matter if you play basketball or not. The path that he took, and the work ethic, discipline, consistency and stuff that he applied to his sport is amazing to see. It’s an honor to be a part of the story, even if it’s a song to highlight what he did.”

Cam’ron And Mase Star In New “Only Money” Music Video Teaser

Cam’ron recently dropped a teaser for his upcoming “Only Money” music video alongside Ma$e. The hilarious trailer has now left several fans wanting more of the duo’s onscreen chemistry. Some social media users are even calling for the pair to star in a buddy film together. “We need a movie asap,” one fan writes. Another says, “Y’all linking up is the best thing that happened to America.”

In the clip, Cam’ron and Ma$e are shown having a conversation inside of an armored vehicle. Cam’ron shakes his head at Ma$e, who’s driving. “I think you taking this ‘get our own money sh*t a little bit too far,” he tells him, “Like, we gonna pick up our own money? We got people who can do this at this point.” Ma$e responds, telling him, “I gotta count this. You going out doing whatever you doing. Somebody gotta take this serious. I’m taking this serious. Last time I let you take the money, you see where that got us, right?

Cam’ron And Mase’s Music Video

The funny conversation is a callback to a previous feud between the duo, which reportedly involved money. Apparently, Cam’ron felt as though he didn’t get a fair deal when he signed to RichFish Records. The longtime beef was finally squashed in 2022, and Ma$e later claimed to have regretted it. “That’s one of the relationships I regret. I think I got two that I regret, and going at Killa, I wanted to do that but that was like my n***a, you know what I’m saying? So that really hurt me,” he told the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast.

“My problem with I think Cam was just that they thought I had money I didn’t have,” he continued, “Like I just told you I was flexing crazy, so n****s was like, ‘Yo, Murda ain’t sharing the bag.’ I never got the bag. Now that we looking back you can see he never got that bag, and then by the time I got the bag we was enemies already.” Fans are glad to see that the two of them are now able to turn their former beef into something positive.

Gunna Channels OJ Simpson In New “Rodeo Dr” Music Video

Earlier today Gunna shared the 4th official music video from his a Gift & a Curse era. Songs like “cash $hit” and “idk nomore” got shorter snippet videos. Now “rodeo dr” just became the 4th track to get a full video. It follows “i was just thinking,” “alright,” and the album’s big hit “fukumean.” The video appears to be some commentary on the rapper’s real-life situation facing snitching allegations using the OJ Simpson car chase saga as a metaphor. In the lyrics of the song, he references the controversial celeb. He specifically references the notorious Bronco chase he led police on in 1994. Fittingly, the video’s visuals reference the event directly with fans making signs and giving interviews expressing their love for the rapper while he’s being chased.

In the intro to the video, Gunna seems to make reference to hit snitching allegations. Earlier this year he took a plea deal in the YSL RICO case which included providing testimony. Many fellow rappers took issue with him admitting in court that YSL is a gang and they haven’t been quiet about it since. I his new video, however, the rapper seems to claim that his fans still have his back. The numbers back him up on that. After his new album a Gift & a Curse took a dip in sales relative to his usual numbers, some declared it a flop. But in the weeks since its big hit song “fukumean” has continued to climb up the charts. Just this week it hit a new peak at number 4, matching the highest he had previously reached with his Lil Baby collab “Drip Too Hard.”

Gunna’s Newest “a Gift & a Curse” Visuals

Gunna’s argument that his fans still ride with him is backed up by the comment section under the video. “That transition is still crazyyy. Also that’s mind blowing how Gunna fits a full sentence in a line and continues like that,” reads one of the top comments. “Bro whats crazy is this man is coming up from a situation that would keep people mentally down, but not gunna. Keep grinding brotha,” says another.

What do you think of Gunna’s new music video? Let us know in the comment section below.
