Ari Lennox Looks Radiant In New “Liquor” Music Video With Babyface

Prior to heading out on her highly anticipated age/sex/location tour, Ari Lennox gave her fans a treat in the form of her “Waste My Time” music video. The must-hear track previously made its debut on her sophomore album. We have to admit, it’s been stuck in our heads ever since. As she performs all across the country over the next few weeks, the R&B starlet’s surprises keep coming.

On Monday (February 27), yet another visual landed from Lennox. This one brings her recent collaboration with Babyface, “Liquor” to life in a big way. The producer plays the role of a bartender, and the vocalist channels a glamorous patron of his bar. The song first arrived on his Girls Night Out project last year and quickly became a favourite amongst listeners.

“I wanna feel like I’m wasted, from the lips that I tasted / I want our love to be agin’ with time,” the Dreamville artist’s sultry lyrics set the tone of the first verse. “More vintage than wine, so smooth / I like it rough around the edges, picture perfect with no edits,” she continues to croon. On the chorus, both Lennox and Babyface’s beautiful voices come together to create a stunning soundscape. They specifically sing about taking two shots of “Liquor” with no chaser over the groovy beat.

It’s been several months since Girls Night Out first landed on DSPs, but Babyface recently kept the hype around the record going with the arrival of the extended edition. All 13 original titles remain on the tracklist, which boasts guest features from the likes of Muni Long, Doechii, and Sevyn Streeter. Additionally, he’s added two new songs – “Sometimes” with Jenevieve and “If You Knew How” with BJRNCK.

Drake & 21 Savage Drop Music Video For “Spin Bout U” Off “Her Loss”

Drake & 21 Savage just dropped the music video for their Her Loss cut, “Spin Bout U.” Moreover, it tells a pretty over-the-top but dangerously entertaining tale of excess, love, loss, and revenge. While 21 and Drizzy enjoy their time on a lavish cruise, they find a woman drowning next to them. After saving her, the 6 God tries to get cozy but she drugs and kidnaps both him and the Atlanta MC. Then, more women arrive to steal their jewelry, tattoo thing on their faces, trash their ship, and eventually burn the whole thing down. A bit before the video ends, they even steal Drake’s engagement ring necklace and execute him, while 21 jumps off the ship to try and escape.

Overall, it’s a pretty ridiculous but also tongue-in-cheek portrayal of toxic love, much like the collaborative album it lands on. Also, this track was an interesting choice for an MV with this theme because of the Canadian superstar’s infamous lines. While they’re peppered all over the tracklist, “Spin Bout U” has some interesting bars about women and relationships. One of them is “Damn, just turned on the news and seen that men who never got p***y in school are makin’ laws about what women can do.” Also there’s “Four words when I think about them is crusty, musty, dusty, rusty / Eight words when I think about us is f**k me, f**k me, f**k me, f**k me.”

Meanwhile, the Slaughter Gang head honcho drops some more simple, but still lovey-dovey lines, at least for their standards. “F**k your main page, what’s your Finsta? I wanna know the real you,” he raps alongside typical bars about body counts, material gifts, and, uh, intimacy. Regardless, “Spin Bout U” is a really entertaining video that feeds into criticisms of their perspectives while having fun with its extravagance. In fact, it makes one wonder why there aren’t more music videos from this album, but I guess the rollout’s not over yet.

Speaking of rollout, 21 and Drake recently settled their lawsuit from Condé Nast for their fake Vogue cover promotion for the album. While the company sought at least $4 million in damages, no specific settlement amount was revealed. Still, at least it’s another headache they don’t have to deal with as they continue celebrating their collaboration’s success. With all that in mind, here’s hoping that we get a sequel to this wild and campy narrative from this new visual. Check out the music video for “Spin Bout U” above and return to HNHH for the latest on 21 Savage and Drake.

Chris Brown Hints At Working With Cassie On “Psychic” Music Video

Chris Brown hinted at another Cassie collab, who will appear in his upcoming music video for “Psychic” featuring Jack Harlow. Moreover, the R&B singer posted a short snippet of the music video and a picture with Cassie. “GIRL YA PSYCHIC PSYCHIC,” he commented the post. While this is surely exciting news for fans, it also came at a bit of an odd time for Brown. After all, following the announcement of his Chlöe collab, fans brought up his history of abuse against women again and past mistakes. Although this wouldn’t be a new collaboration, it’s another bit of fuel in the fire at this point.

Furthermore, the “Look At Me Now” star exploded on social media at his critics. “If y’all still hate me for a mistake I made as a 17-year-old, please kiss my whole entire a**!” he wrote on his Instagram Story. “I’m f***ing 33! I’m so tired of y’all running wit this narrative .. All y’all can suck my d**k disrespectfully. Where are the cancel culture with these white artists that date underage women, beat the f**k out of their wive, giving b***hes AIDS? Oh. That’s right.. they are your buddies. No more fake love from me.. Stay out my way or get ran over simple as that! None of you and I mean none of you n***as can f**k with me.”

Still, reactions were relatively split online concerning his new collab, though both camps were incredibly vocal. “Me watching y’all outage over Chris Brown and Chloe but he just did a tour and it sold out,” one tweeter remarked. “Somebody lying on twitter but go off.” In addition, another pointed out more wrongdoing on Brown’s behalf. “The Chris Brown backlash Chloe is getting isn’t even just about Rihanna? He literally mocked Kehlani after her 2016 suicide attempt?”

Regardless, fans will choose whether to support this new video with Cassie or not. While artists like Lil Baby didn’t receive much flack for touring with Breezy, many called out double standards for criticisms of Chlöe. However you may feel about the situation, it’s fair to say both sides have to consider other factors. Still, check back in with HNHH for the latest on Chris Brown.
