KILLY Is Living A “Crazy Life Of Sin” With Smiley & Doe Boy On New EP

Long-time fans of KILLY will be happy to know that the EP he planned to share back in 2020, Crazy Life of Sin, has finally been added to DSPs before we head into the new year. Across the eight-track project, the Canadian connects with both Doe Boy and Smiley while handling the rest of the titles on his own.

Previously released singles from the project include opening songs “Y?” and “Vince Carter” in collaboration with his fellow Canuck. Additionally, the 25-year-old dropped off “CEO” some time ago, setting the tone for what was to come.

Crazy Life of Sin actually arrived earlier this week. Since then, several new titles have been emerging as fan favourites. Among them are “Shot Caller,” “Telling Tales,” as well as the infectious “KILLY KILLY” with Doe Boy.

Other previously unheard additions include “Darkest Day,” and “Moment of Clarity Freestyle.”

As Complex notes, an impressive roster of producers aided KILLY in his latest endeavour. Boi-1da helped out with one of the EP’s first singles, and Oz, Jaegen, T99, and Y2K came through on other beats.

Seeing as he left fans waiting for nearly three years, the Toronto native has promised his listeners new music “every month of 2023.”

Speaking on his project in a press release, K said, “This [EP] means a lot to me because it represents my creative freedom… I recently got out of my deal with Epic Records, which opens up a new chapter that I’m excited for.”

“Although my time with the label had many positives, being independent allows me to be more hands-on with my ability to release music when and how I want to. Regaining my freedom and getting back to my independent roots are things I’m very grateful for.”

Troy Ave Keeps The Tradition Alive With “White Christmas 10”

Just as Christmas day approaches, Troy Ave is keeping the tradition alive with the 10th installment in his White Christmas series.

Every single year, Troy Ave makes a concerted effort to bless his fans with a new body of work to ride out to throughout the holidays. Today, he blessed fans with White Christmas 10 in its entirety. He keeps his latest body of work without any features, allowing his voice to shine on each record.

For the most part, the new project doesn’t really have many blatant holiday vibes. However, he brings his signature style of New York-centric bars detailing the hustle and grind. White Christmas 10 consists of 12 songs in total.

During a 2019 interview with HNHH, Troy Ave explained that the White Christmas showcases his consistency as an artist. More importantly, it’s also an offering that he nows his fans look forward to every year.

“I almost lost my life on Christmas day. So I kind of made a pact. And I was actually listening to White Christmas when I got shot in the head. I was listening to the prayer part of the intro. So no matter what as long as I’m able, I’ma release a White Christmas,” he said. “I could’ve not been here and not made it anymore. And, the thing is, it makes a lot of people’s Christmas. Some people don’t get a gift, they don’t get shit for Christmas, they get this. This is my gift to everybody that supported me throughout the years. I’ma always give them this White Christmas.”

White Christmas 9 closes out a highly productive year that includes the release of THE SUNDAY SERVICE and New York City: The Movie.

Hotboii Drops Deluxe Edition Of “Blinded By Death”

It’s been a tumultuous year for Hotboii. The Florida rapper remained active for the first half of the year. Unfortunately, his issues with the law caught up with him and he was booked on racketeering charges.

His legal issues didn’t prevent him from blessing fans with even more music before the year’s done. Following the release of Blinded By Death in October, he came back with the deluxe edition. In addition to the original tracklist, the rapper tacked on eight songs, including two collaborations alongside ATL Jacob. His ability to intertwine his melodies with pain-filled bars for infectious bops shines on the deluxe even further.

“2-0 I’m on the way to the championship. We taking this thing all the way home,” he wrote in the announcement post for the deluxe.

The original tracklist for the project included 17 songs in total with a slew of appearances from prominent figures. He and Kodak Black linked up on “Live Life Die Faster,” while Lil Uzi Vert appeared on two songs, “Throw In The Towel” and “Fashion.” BIG30 also appears on the project for “In My Field.” Clearly, he’s profile has grown immensely since he had his first major breakout hit.

Hotboii first began bubbling up in 2020 after he released, “Don’t Need Time,” which eventually led to a remix featuring Lil Baby. The song later reached platinum status, cementing him as one artist to look out for.

In the last two years, he’s dropped a slew of projects including, Kut Da Fan Off, Double O Baby, and Life Of A Hotboii.

Rah Swish Closes The Year With “The Old Me”

Rah Swish is keeping his foot on the gas following a highly productive 2022. The drill rapper’s remained active throughout the year with several projects and singles.

In the past week, Rah Swish slid through with his latest work, The Old Me. The 7-song body of work is a triumphant body of work that finds him showcasing his hard-hitting delivery over infectious drill production. The project kicks off with the previously released single, “Tell ‘Em.” The record samples Soulja Boy’s “Crank Dat” which Rah Swish recharges with his intense delivery and drill sounds. The project also includes the single, “Finish What I Started,” which arrived just before the album’s release.

The Old Me finds Rah Swish holding it down on his own without a single feature. However, he brings on a slew of excellent products like KinoDa1, Kajun Water, Bordeaux, and more.

This marks Rah Swish’s second project of the year and first solo offering of 2022. The rapper previously linked up with Ron Suno, Dusty Locane, and Onpointlikeop for their joint project Say Dat. Prior to that, Swish delivered a string of singles including collaborations alongside Don Q and Ron Suno.

In the past few years, Rah Swish became a pivotal force in New York’s drill scene. 2020’s Woo Forever put a spotlight on him before he made a major statement the following year with MAYOR OF THE STREETS. Around the same time, he also had a major presence on Pop Smoke’s posthumous album, Faith on songs like “Brush Em” and “Dont Know Em.”

New York’s MIKE Drops New Album, “Beware Of The Monkey”

MIKE continues to be a shining star amongst the underground hip-hop scene.

Making music since 2015, he’s one of the leaders in the wave of abstract artists rapping over looped, sample-heavy production.

On Wednesday (December 21), the New York emcee officially dropped his latest offering, Beware of the Monkey.

The project contains 13 tracks, including its three priorly-released singles from earlier this year, “nuthin i can do is wrng,” “What Do I Do?” and “Stop Worry!”

Additionally, guest appearances come from Jadasea, Klein, King Carter and Jamaican dancehall singer, Sister Nancy.

The latter is a feature on the aforementioned “Stop Worry!” and is particularly known for her 1982 hit, “Bam Bam.”

The single finds MIKE getting introspective when reflecting on his vices and his increase in popularity. “Grab a cup and let my face drown, accompanied with trees / Stu-Stuttering away, cause the company to leave / Just need something I could break down, budge against the heat / Buckle up, we ’bout to change routes, never changing speed,” he raps explicitly in the opening verse.

Furthermore, Beware of the Monkey continues the New York rapper’s trend of dropping a new project on a yearly basis since at least 2017. It serves as the follow-up to his masterpiece from June of last year, Disco!

He subsequently made an appearance on The Alchemist‘s EP, This Thing Of Ours 2. MIKE serves as the sole feature on the second track, “Lossless.” Altogether, the short project boasts other features from the likes of Vince Staples, MAVI and Bruiser Brigade.

The duo linked up just a few weeks earlier for last month’s three-song EP, One More Time with fellow New York rapper, Wiki.

Along with the fresh album release, also came another new music video for one of the tracks, “No Curse Lifted (rivers of love).”

Despite having an otherwise quiet year outside of the singles, the new album arrives just in time to further complicate your year-end lists.

He certainly doesn’t let his fans down, as the new album further cements him as one of underground rap’s best storytellers.

Finally, make sure to stream Beware of the Monkey on Spotify or Apple Music soon. Let us know your top three songs in the comments afterwards.

FishXGrits Keeps It P On New Project “Sixteen” Ft. Sauce Walka & More

FishxGrits is keeping it P all holiday season.

The Atlanta rapper is back in action with his latest studio album, Sixteen. Following an incredibly active year, FishxGrits makes it clear that he still has more heat in the stash. Sixteen boasts 10 songs in total that merge his penchant for auto-tuned bars with smooth production. The album also boasts appearances from a handful of frequent collaborators who know a thing or two about the P lifestyle. Tha Sharp One of No Jumper fame is the first voice heard on the project. The project also boasts appearances from also Ralo Tha Pimp, and Sauce Walka, who FishxGrits has worked closely with in the past.

“The title Sixteen is derived from the code for PP is the 16th letter of the alphabet.  You’ll see people refer to 16’s online, or in person, they’re referring to the P’s” FishXGrit’s explained.  “This is also my 16th album so it was a perfect title for this project.”

Sauce Walka appears on the single, “3 Hos,” a holiday-themed banger for he players and the ladies. The song was also accompanied by a new visual treatment that FishXGrits unloaded last week.

FishXGrits came through with back-to-back releases since the beginning of 2022. He kicked things off with the release of February’s Chooser’s Fee, which included appearances from Ralo Tha Pimp and Sharp. Then, he dropped off Monk S#!+, No Punk S#!+ in April containing 11 songs in total with appearances from Sharp, Ralo, and Sauce Walka. In June, he followed it up with the release of I Am The Drug III.

Sixteen comes shortly after the release of Us Against The World featuring the single, “Jernt” with Curren$y.

Hopefully, we’ll hear just as much from FishxGrits in 2023. Check out his new project below and let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Wallie The Sensei Is “HERE 2 STAY” With His New Mixtape

The Compton native’s HERE 2 STAY arrives correspondingly in celebration of his birthday, a press release notes. Throughout the various tracks, “Wallie’s heartfelt delivery and introspective lyricism” undoubtedly enchant his listeners.

Furthermore, “Life Is What You Make It” is quickly emerging as a fan favourite upon the project’s debut. The song finds him specifically reflecting on the pain of personal tragedy as his career continues to soar to new heights.

“Feel like I’m beefin’ with God ‘cause he done took all my friends,” the California-born singer croons. “And when it ain’t making sense just know you still got to strive, I know we dying to live,” Wallie continues.

The “Watch Me” hitmaker’s latest work follows his GOLDEN CHILD release, previously spearheaded by his “03 Flow” single. Finding success via radio support and co-signs from PnB Rock, it was a tribute to 03 Greedo.

NoCap Releases New Mixtape, “The Main Bird”

Even when industry business gets in the way, it’s always great to see an artist deliver to fans despite the hiccups. NoCap did just that and released The Main Bird, a seven-track mixtape. Moreover, it was originally going to contain 16 songs, but ran into sample clearance issues. While those get sorted out, the Alabama rapper’s dropped more introspective melodic cuts and a few bangers to even his style out. Also, the track comes just days after his melodic feature on Monaleo’s “Miss U Already.”

While the 24-year-old is known to often get into those tuneful styles, he balances it out with some heat. Moreover, he recruited Rob49 and Rylo Rodriguez for some guest verses on the album. Rob delivers some aggressive energy over the Wheezy-produced “How It’s Going.” Meanwhile, Rylo dials things back on “Tight End” with some auto-tuned croons. However, NoCap remains the star of the show, and he kept up fast momentum after this year’s Mr. Crawford with the single “DNA.”

Although NoCap’s continued to build that success, it’s also resulted in some cut ties. He beefed with NBA YoungBoy recently via Instagram shots after YoungBoy wrote he doesn’t mess with him anymore. Later, NoCap called YB a “hater.”

“Let me know what I owe you,” he wrote in a message to the Louisiana rapper. “I don’t recall you giving s**t. I took the blame for why we don’t do music because I was trying to keep your hater card clean. But nah we really don’t do music because he probably scared I’ll be bigger on some baby s**t.” If The Main Bird and KnowCap are any indication, it looks like he’ll continue to make his own mark.

What did you think of this mixtape? Are you looking forward to KnowCap? Let us know in the comments. If you still haven’t tuned in, you can find The Main Bird by NoCap on your preferred streaming service. Also, check out the tracklist below and stay tuned to HNHH for the latest releases in the rap game.
