Juls Creates His Own Universe On “Sounds Of My World”

Juls’ has been making noise with his experimental sound that merges everything from afrobeats to electronic, hip-hop, and more. After years of hustling and establishing himself as through his DJing and songwriting efforts, he finally released his debut album, Sounds Of My World  this week. The project includes 15 songs, all produced by Juls himself, with features coming from artists like Bas, WizKid, DarkoVibes, and more.

“It’s been a very long process,” said Juls of the project. “I started making this album after my Colours mixtape in 2019; I’ve been selfish and just focusing on myself working on my brand and sound, so I haven’t really made records for a lot of other artists. I’m excited for the world to hear what I’ve been working on. I pray it does very well because I’ve put a lot into it.”

Dustystaytrue Unleashes “True To Me”

You gotta give it up to Arnold Taylor and South Coast Music Group. They’ve proven to have an unmatched ear for bringing new talent into the fold and turning them into superstars. We’ve seen the success of DaBaby, and Toosii has been on a steady incline throughout his career. However, even with a star-studded roster, they’re still helping introduce new talent to the world.

Dustystaytrue recently joined the South Coast Music Group roster and now, he’s offered his latest project, True To Me. The 13-song project is offers an excellent introduction to the rapper, especially as he holds down the entirety of the project on his own.

With a run-time of nearly half an hour, press play on True To Me below and get familiar with Dustystaytrue.

Shad Da God Taps Quavo & Lil Durk For “IN GOD WE TRUST”

Shad Da God has been a bubbling force in the south over the past few years. His proximity to both T.I. and Young Thug have earned him some solid looks on records like, “I Got Time” off of Slime & B. However, it was also his mixtape run that’s left quite an impression on fans. City Of God and God Gang helped propel his status in the South.

This week, the rapper returned with the re-release of his latest project, IN GOD WE TRUST. The rapper added two new songs to the original tracklist, “Belly (Remix)” ft. Quavo and “Vibe” ft. Lil Durk.

Other features on the project include Gunna and T.I. with Wheezy, Fourtyeight, Turbo, and Slime Castro contributing to production.

Marc E. Bassy Shares New Project, “Little Men”

According to Marc E. Bassy, his new album, Little Men, is the “next chapter” in his artistic career. The 15-track album arrived at midnight on Friday, and has already been receiving praise from fans across social media.

“You know what we stand for-truth telling-creativity-originality-it’s all for you and because of you,” the 34-year-old captioned a video posted to his Instagram on Saturday afternoon.

“I love you all from the bottom of my heart. You make these dreams come true everyday. Can’t wait til you see it live. Stream Little Men everywhere now !”

Bassy has been consistently dropping albums like Only The Poets Mixtape, Vol. 1East Hollywood, and Gossip Columns over the past few years, but Little Men is his first studio album since 2019’s PMD (which received a deluxe version in 2020).

The new project is largely made up of solo work, although he does bring in Cory Henry on “Free Like Me,” and Syd on “Future Love.” It’s also worth nothing that while some co-writers were brought on, the singer-songwriter penned several tracks alone.

Bassy’s vulnerability is apparent in both his lyrics and vocals; like so many of the best things in life, the San Fransisco native seems to only get better with time.

Neek Bucks Gets Deep On New Project “Invisible Scars”

Comparing oneself to Jay-Z, in any sort of capacity, is a bold move. We’ve heard several rappers make the comparison in the past but Neek Bucks wanted to make it evidently clear on his 2021 project that he’s the Neighborhood Hov. The February release with 12 songs in length with collaborations alongside Benny The Butcher, G Herbo, Lil Tjay, and plenty of others.

This week, the rapper, once again, proved that he won’t stop applying pressure anytime soon. He released his new project, Invisible Scars on Friday, boasting six tracks including September’s “On My Way.” The rapper keeps the features light on this one, though he does reunite with Stunna Gambino on the final track, “Cartier.”

SoloSam Drops Self-Produced Project, “PRINCIPLES TO DIE BY”

The last time SoloSam dropped an album was back in 2018 with Itis. Now, the Chicago native is back with PRINCIPLES TO DIE BY, which he produced, rap, wrote, and sung himself, proving that he’s absolutely earned the “solo” title in his name.

The project is made up of just eight tracks, but it has a lasting impact, nonetheless. S-O-S hops on “TREE,” Daniyel can be heard on “CHANGES,” and Michael Christmas lent his talents to the previously released “HOTBOX.” On the other five songs, Sam takes the reigns and works his magic.

Prior to PRINCIPLES TO DIE BY’s release, the rapper shared an emotional message on his Instagram page.

“This Album is a journey of overcoming grief and an ode to personal freedom,” SoloSam began. “I am truly blessed to be able to create and work on things that bring me happiness and none of that would be possible without the support from y’all.”

He continued, “I want you to know that I pray that all of you are able to experience the joy and love of community that you show me regularly. Big shoutout to everyone who contributed to this album y’all my family frfr.”

Roc Marciano & Flee Lord Drop “Delgado” Deluxe

Roc Marciano and Flee Lord have delivered excellence as solo artists but when they join forces, they form one of the hardest rapper-producer duos in hip-hop. Earlier this year, they came through with their latest joint effort Delgado. Stacked with 10 songs and collaborations alongside Conway The Machine, Stove God Cooks, and Ransom, they paved a lane of their own that will likely end up on plenty of year-end lists.

After a month and some change, they’ve delivered the deluxe edition of Delgado with five additional tracks. The new additions to the tracklist include collaborations alongside Eto, G4 Jag, T.F., Bun B, and Knowledge the Pirate.

Along with the deluxe edition of Delgado, Roc Marciano’s new collaborative effort with Wu-Tang affiliate Bronze Nazareth also dropped this weekend.
