Kawhi Leonard Presents “Culture Jam” Ft. NBA YoungBoy, Lil Uzi Vert, Rod Wave, Yung Bleu & More

Earlier this year, Los Angeles Clippers star Kawhi Leonard began teasing his music project, Culture Jam. The NBA champion’s vision for creating an album initially confused Hip Hop fans, but as Leonard would later say, Rap and basketball are two avenues that frequently cross in the entertainment industry.

“It just merges basketball and music together. It’s always been something on my mind that I wanted to do, so it’s just something that can uplift our community. A portion of each stream is gonna go to the Mamba & Mambacita Foundation,” Leonard said back in May.

Culture features several hitmakers including Rod Wave, NBA YoungBoy, Gunna, Polo G, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, Capella Grey, Stefflon Don, Ty Dolla $ign, Wale, Yung Bleu, NLE Choppa, and BlueBucksClan. Stream Kawhi Leonard Presents: Culture Jam and let us know what you think.

Fetty Wap Stands Alone On 17-Track Project “The Butterfly Effect”

There was a time in Rap history when Fetty Wap was the big “it” artist on the block. He dominated the charts and airwaves with tracks like “My Way” and “Trap Queen,” but fans noticed that as time has progressed, Fetty hasn’t had the same impact on the culture. His name has been entangled in headlines pertaining to his exes, mother of his children, paternity, the loss of his daughter, along with his marriage and divorce. While there have been a few releases over the years, Fetty fans have been awaiting the arrival of his comeback.

Many are claiming that Fetty Wap’s The Butterfly Effect, an album he shared on Friday (October 22), marks a new chapter of the New Jersey rapper’s career. He stands alone on the 17-track effort with hopes that his labor of love will be well received by Hip Hop fans. We’ll let you decide on that, so stream The Butterfly Effect and share your thoughts.

Majid Jordan Deliver “Wildest Dreams” Ft. Drake, Diddy, Swae Lee

It has been nearly four years since Majid Jordan released an album, and now the OVO Sound duo has delivered Wildest Dreams. During the rollout of this record, Majid Jordan has shared several singles including “Been Through That, “Summer Rain,” and “Waves of Blue,” and they continue to unravel their ethereal essence on Wildest Dreams.

The album is stacked with lyrics centered on romance and love as they float through sounds reminiscent of some throwback favorites, thanks to those ’80s synths. They kept their features to a minimum and opted to call on Swae Lee, Diddy, and Drake for added vocals. Not a bad addition at all.

As usual, Majid Jordan makes it difficult to box them into one genre, so stream Wildest Dreams and let us know what you think. Also, make sure to check out our interview: Majid Jordan Break Down New Album “Wildest Dreams” & Favorite “Certified Lover Boy” Songs.

Wale Drops Off “Folarin II” Ft. J. Cole, Rick Ross, Chris Brown, Boyz II Men & Jamie Foxx

Wale has been defending his position in the Rap game against naysayers and trolls, and he has returned with a project that he believes will set the detractors straight. We have been hearing quite a bit about Folarin II in these last few weeks as Wale rolled out his anticipated project. The album is executive produced by the DMV rapper and Rick Ross, and it is stacked with features that help complement Wale’s vision.

In an interview with XXL, Wale revealed why he felt it was the time to release this follow-up to his 2012 mixtape, Folarin. “My daughter is talking to her mother one time and she was like, ‘Respect the kids. Respect the kids,'” he said. “They were playing, but she was being serious and that’s part of it. The inner child of me, you know, ‘Still Tippin’,’ ‘Vivrant Thing,’ ‘I Need a Girl,’ all these samples are coming from back in the day when I was a kid. I’m sampling way more than normal, so, it feels like a mixtape. I’m giving people their flowers and I’m getting mine.”

Features on the album include looks from J. Cole, Rick Ross, Chris Brown, Jamie Foxx, Boyz II Men, Sauce, Lil Chris, Yella Beezy, Maxo Kream, and Ant Clemons. Stream Folarin II and share your thoughts.

TyFontaine Delivers 12 New Songs For “Ascension (Deluxe)”

TyFontaine’s consistency has made him one of the most exciting young artists right now. Back in 2019, he released his project, Waiting On Ascension. Shortly after, he joined the Internet Money collective where he released 1800 and We Ain’t The Same back-to-back in 2020. However, he announced his departure from Internet Money and came through with his latest project, Ascension independently.

Now, he’s back with the official deluxe edition of the project. Dubbed Ascension (Deluxe) – Virtual World 2, the rapper adds another 12 songs to the tracklist, making the album 25 tracks in total. The rapper enlists Trippie Redd and Lil Tecca for the deluxe, as well as appearances from Pasto Flocco, Cochise, summrs, and Joony.

Fashawn & Sir Veterano Team Up For “All Hail The King”

Fashawn’s left his name across other people’s tracks in the past four years since releasing, Manna EP. His 2017 effort, which included a collaboration with Snoop Dogg, reminded everyone about his lyrical prowess.

The bars are still in tact, as is his excellent ear for production. Both of these aspects are highlighted on his latest body of work, All Hail The King in collaboration with Sir Veterano. Fashawn handles the bars on the project while Veterano holds down production over the course of 9 songs.

Fashawn and Sir Veterano’s new project boasts features from Elzhi, DJ Revolution, Planet Asia, and Aloe Blacc who assisted on the previously released single, “Castle.”

Gucci Mane Adds Another 17 Songs For “So Icy Boyz (Deluxe)”

Gucci Mane doesn’t get as much credit as he deserves for his A&R abilities. Since his reign as the mixtape champ, he’s helped introduce key talent of this generation, working with the likes of Migos, Young Thug, and Nicki Minaj before they gained any sort of critical or commercial acclaim.

The re-launch of the 1017 empire has included new acts such as Pooh Shiesty and Foogiano who’ve made an incredible impression this year, despite their legal issues. The rapper released his latest project, So Icy Boyz on Friday, largely consisting of collaborations alongside his signees. And while most artists would wait until the weekend was over to drop off a deluxe edition of their project, Gucci commemorated 10/17 with an additional 17 songs. So Icy Boyz (Deluxe) is now 34 songs in total with new contributions from BigWalkDog, Bic Fizzle, Cootie, Big Scarr, Big 30, Enchanting, and Foogiano.

Maxo Kream Enlists Tyler, The Creator, A$AP Rocky, Freddie Gibbs & More On “Weight Of The World”

When Maxo Kream dropped “BIG PERSONA” with Tyler, the Creator back in early September, the Houston rapper gave us a glimpse of what was to come on his new album, WEIGHT OF THE WORLD

Nearly six weeks later, and WEIGHT OF THE WORLD has officially dropped.

Boasting features from Tyler, A$AP Rocky, Freddie Gibbs and Don Toliver, WEIGHT OF THE WORLD is a 16-song, 44-minute ode to H-Town and Kream’s come up in the streets, and in the studio.

Building on his 2018 record Punken and his 2019 self-titled release, Brandon Banks, Kream puts his development as an artist on full display on every WEIGHT OF THE WORLD track. From the album-opening “CRIPSTIAN” to “MAMA’S PURSE,” Maxo spins a web of street talk, references to designer clothes and Air Jordan sneakers, and his extensive knowledge of hip-hop history.

Tyler, Rocky, Freddie Gibbs and Toliver add a little star power to the project and help give WEIGHT OF THE WORLD the perfect balance between introspectiveness and flexing the fruits of Maxo Kream’s labor.

Loski Makes A Statement On New Project “Censored”

Drill is an international movement now, and the UK has had a firm grip on its re-popularization into the 2020s. There are rappers like Headie One and Fredo who certainly deserve their flowers for helping put their sound on an international stage but its the up-and-comers that are keeping it alive. Loski might not be as internationally acclaimed as the other two rappers mentioned but he has played a significant role in helping shape the UK scene.

This week, the rapper returned with his latest body of work, Censored. The new project is 10 songs in total with a run time of a little over half an hour. Loski handles the majority of the project on his own but he does link up with Suspect, SD, and Gee Splash for some highlights on the tracklist.
