50 Cent Recalls Mike Tyson Selling Him His Mansion With Hilarious Story

50 Cent’s got more money than he knows what to do with, and even then, he’s clearly known how to be a good businessman for a long time. However, that’s not to say that he always knows what the best calls are when it comes to the value of his purchases. The rapper may be one of hip-hop’s most successful entrepreneurs, but he’s also not a home décor expert by any means. Moreover, he recently proved just that while recalling when he bought boxing legend Mike Tyson’s mansion. During a recent interview with LIVE with Kelly and Mark, the G-Unit mogul explained why his first instincts in terms of what to do with the property were proven to be misguided.

“I bought Mike Tyson’s home out there. It was, like, 55,000 square feet,” 50 Cent remarked of the purchase. “Yeah, a lot of stuff,” Fif remarked when asked whether Tyson left anything behind. “Actually, they almost look like this, right there on the wall. That fixture? He had these really ugly light fixtures in the house, but they were, like, 10 karat gold.

50 Cent Comically Roasts Mike Tyson’s Pricey Home Décor

“I had an interior decorator help me with the house,” 50 Cent continued. “‘Cause who knows how to dress up a 55,000 square foot house? Like, I had no idea what to do in some of those spaces. She was like ‘These things are hideous, can we take them out?’ I said ‘Yes.’ Then they told me it was 10 karat gold. I said ‘Put ’em back!’” It seems like the 48-year-old was smart to involve a lot of people in the process, or all that gold would’ve gone to waste.

Meanwhile, it’s clear that the “Many Men” MC is looking forward to more expenses, more lavish productions, and more intelligent uses of his money. Recently, he celebrated the end of the writer’s strike, meaning that he can get back to building his entertainment empire. Let’s just hope that someone’s double-checking whether there are any precious materials on his sets. On that note, check back in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on 50 Cent.

Francis Ngannou Trains With Mike Tyson Ahead Of Tyson Fury Fight

Former UFC champion Francis Ngannou has been spotted training with former champion boxer Mike Tyson. Tyson has been helping Ngannou for his professional boxing debut against Tyson Fury next month. The fight finally came about after a war of words between the two men and Ngannou’s exit from the UFC. He is currently signed with the PFL, which gives him more freedom to pursue ventures such as the Fury fight.

However, even with the help of Tyson, there are few people who believe that Ngannou can actually beat Fury. Fury is widely considered one of the best active boxers in the world. Possessing a 33-0 record, Fury has long complained that his success has made it hard for him to actually schedule fights because no one wants to fight him. By the time these two fighters meet in the ring, it will have been 10 months since Fury’s last fight.

Jon Jones Watches On

Of course, Ngannou v. Fury is not the hybrid fight everyone was hoping for. For many, this fight offer was a backup for both fighters. For MMA fans, Jones v. Ngannou still remains the dream matchup in their weight class. This is especially true given the claims that Jones intentionally avoided facing Ngannou until it was too late. However, for now, fans will have to settle for the two men facing off while Jones watches from afar.

Meanwhile, Jones v. Fury, the hybrid fight everyone was everybody was expecting, got as far as a fight offer. “I’ve been in talks with Francis Ngannou for a hybrid fight,” Fury said. “There’s talks of me and Jon Jones doing a hybrid fight as we talk, right now. I received an offer from the UFC yesterday, so you never know what’s going to happen. The future’s bright, for sure, and there’s a lot of options out there,” Fury told a Twitter Space back in July.

Michael Jackson’s Son, Prince, Details Father’s Struggle With Vitiligo

Michael Jackson’s son, Prince, says that his father wanted to “smooth out his skin” while suffering from vitiligo. He discussed witnessing his father battle the disease during a recent sit-down with Mike Tyson on the Hotboxin‘ podcast.

The legendary boxer began by suggesting that Michael didn’t want to become white, instead suggesting he wanted to “glow.” Prince built off that point, adding: “He had a skin condition called vitiligo. I think it was even on the autopsy report. I think the cause of it– it’s up for speculation. But it’s either vitiligo or some form of lupus that contributed to the vitiligo. And he had a lot of insecurity around, kind of, looking blotchy. So, he wanted to see if he could smooth out his appearance. I think that ‘glowing’ may have also had something to do with it because he was visionary I guess in the way that he thought.”

Later in the interview, Prince also revealed that there is still unreleased music from Jackson in the vault. Unfortunately, due to Jackson’s unusual recording habits, it’s “little snippets” of songs. “When it comes to unreleased music there, what we have in our vault — as I’ve been kind of told — is a lot of really rough works in progress,” he said. “I don’t think my father ever learned how to read sheet music. So as a trained musician, it was really self-taught.” Check out the conversation below.

If You Only Watch One ‘Hip-Hop 50’ Documentary, Make It ‘Mixtape’

It’s no secret that there are a lot of hip-hop documentaries. As the first genre to really break in an era where it could be widely documented in real time by camcorders, tape recorders, and eventually, film crews paid by artists and their labels, it’s kind of inevitable that there’d be so many movies about its foundations and growth. Unfortunately, because it’s all so well-covered already, it can feel at times like there’s so much overlap between the events and figures being cited that nothing new or worthwhile is really being unearthed — especially for fans who’ve voraciously consumed all these histories in an effort to learn everything there is know about hip-hop.

With hip-hop’s 50th anniversary going on, it’s the perfect time to go back and check out some of those docs (we’ve got a handy list here), but if you already have, or if you’re like me and feel like many of them only offer the same-old-same, then Mixtape is definitely the one you need to see. A joint production of Def Jam and MTV Films currently streaming on Paramount+, Mixtape does one thing that makes it great: It sticks to its subject like glue. By focusing on the rise, spread, and influence of mixtapes and their creators on the hip-hop landscape, it offers a fresh perspective on well-examined eras throughout hip-hop’s history.

For instance, while those early park jams and club performances often receive obligatory nods, those nods can also often seem cursory. But with Mixtape, so many names and personalities get their due, from Brucie B and Kid Capri (shout-out to The Notorious B.I.G.) to pioneers like Tony Touch. The film drills down, not just into who these individuals were or what their contributions changed about the art of making mixtapes, but also into their techniques and why they were so innovative in the first place. While the usual timeline landmarks are all still in place, they’re sublimated in service of telling this specific story — the story of the mixtape.

That includes a worldwide perspective, from the Dirty South and the West Coast to France, Japan, and Puerto Rico. The evolution of the art is tracked through pause tapes, the growth of freestyle tapes and exclusives, and the introduction of CDs and the big business of the late ’90s and early 2000s — the beginning of the internet era. And, as far as seeing something you didn’t know, let me just say — I grew up with these mixtape DJs, and I had absolutely no clue what most of them looked like until now. Also, the collection of interview subjects is so good at recounting their tales, I didn’t mind hearing them again.

mixtape lil wayne

It also touches on the corporate appropriation of the culture via moments like the Tommy Hilfiger mixtapes, Sprite sponsorships, and more. There’s even some light labor advocacy; a couple of the DJs who get interviewed readily admit that they got their early leaks by simply bribing unpaid interns (go figure that not paying your employees actually costs companies more). And thanks to the names involved, the list of interviewees is truly impressive. Yes, the usual suspects all appear, but so do A-listers like 50 Cent, Fat Joe, Jadakiss, Lil Wayne, Mike Tyson, and even Shaq (Uproxx co-founder Jarret Myer even makes a quick cameo!). Befitting of a film about mixtapes, there are all kinds of great transitions and gimmicks — there’s even an intermission of sorts.

And, of course, the film digs into the dark side of the scene — the violence, the theft and damage to reputations, and eventually, the legal repercussions for some of the biggest mixtape DJs — with cutting insight. While the whole thing moves a little too quickly (basically chucking the whole of the blog era) and still clocks in at two hours long, it provides a broad and satisfying overview of its subject, shedding light on a subset of hip-hop that has been overlooked for nearly the entirety of its 50-year history. That’s all anyone could ask for — and like a real mixtape, Mixtape leaves the listener/viewer wanting more.

Mike Tyson says that Jamie Foxx has suffered a stroke. Speaking on the Valuetainment podcast, the legendary fighter revealed what he knows about Foxx’s undisclosed medical emergency. He also provided an update on the state of his biopic which stars the 55-year-old actor.

“He’s not feeling well. They said a stroke. I have no idea what happened to him,” Tyson said on the show. “Hey, listen, we can’t anticipate our next breath. We don’t know when we are gonna die. … After we leave, this bad stuff can happen.”

Tyson continued: “I don’t know what’s going to happen now. But, you know, it’s a strong possibility. Because, you know, Jamie’s closer to my age, so in order to do him, they were going to do what they did with [the movie] Benjamin Button. They were going to make him look younger.”

Foxx’s daughter, Corinne, initially confirmed that her father had been hospitalized in Atlanta back in April. In the following weeks, rumors were rampant about Foxx’s condition as the family made no further updates. Eventually, Corinne came forward to reveal that Foxx was doing better day by day but still didn’t explain the nature of his health scare. “Sad to see how the media runs wild. My dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday! Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support,” she wrote in an update on Instagram. “We have an exciting work announcement coming next week too!”

As for that “exciting work announcement,” the two announced they are currently developing a new game show called We Are Family. Foxx and his daughter previously worked together on the series, Beat Shazam. She was seen visiting him at the rehab facility in Chicago over the weekend. TMZ reports that Dave Brown was present as well.

Did Mike Tyson Just Confirm Friend Jamie Foxx Suffered A Stroke?

mike

Mike Tyson recently seemed to confirm alleged reports that Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx suffered a stroke. The former boxing champ unintentionally revealed his friend’s diagnosis in a recent interview with Valuetainment.

Foxx became ill in April while in Atlanta working on a movie. He was rushed to a hospital where he remained in intensive care until he was moved to a physical rehab hospital in Chicago that specializes in stroke recovery.

Foxx’s daughter, Corinne revealed he suffered a “medical complication” on April 12. But she never followed up, which caused much speculation.

When Corinne did follow up she said her father had been out of the hospital “for weeks” and playing Pickleball. Her statement caused mass confusion.

However, Tyson confirmed that Foxx suffered a stroke and that his situation may be dire. “He’s not feeling well. Yeah, there’s a stroke…” Tyson said before trying to backtrack.

“I don’t know what happened to him. Hey listen, we can’t anticipate our next breath. We don’t know when we are gonna die… After we leave this — bad stuff can happen.”

He added: “Hey listen, if we don’t know about it by now, they don’t want us to know.”

Mike Tyson Believes Psychedelics Would’ve Made Him A Better Fighter

Mike Tyson is a boxing legend, but even he is prone to thinking about his career what-ifs along the way. While that retrospection is usually about mentality or a specific fight, Tyson recently explained why he wanted to be tripping in his prime. Moreover, he spoke to TMZ Sports during an interview about wishing he would’ve done psychedelics back in his heyday, as he believes they would’ve made him a better fighter. “Psychedelics is an enhancement more than a de-enhancement,” he remarked. “It allows you to go in that realm of just comfortability, relaxness, and prepare to reach your highest level. It’s just an amazing feeling.”

Of course, given his passion and proximity to the cannabis industry, his interest in drugs is unsurprising. Still, that’s quite the jump from a joint to shrooms, but Mike Tyson stands by the value of both as a competitive fighter. In fact, the 56-year-old revealed that he took hallucinogens during a recent training session and said his prime would’ve been even more impressive if he was on them. Not only that, but he encouraged more athletes to start smoking bud and indulging in shrooms.

Mike Tyson Says He Would’ve Been A Better Boxer If He Was Tripping

“I’m capable of talking to everybody in the sporting world because that’s basically where it’s needed,” Mike Tyson expressed. “We always thought cannabis was a de-enhancer, made you tired, made you weak, but it actually made you more alert and more studious to your field, to your profession.” However, not everyone is going to agree with that take, and those drugs often work differently for different people. At least Mike was able to find the most positive and productive parts of the drugs. For the sake of his health, it’s also probably a good thing that he regrets not doing them instead of regretting doing them.

Meanwhile, the heavyweight is still thinking about boxing, and he recently revealed who he’s open to fight against. The answer is anyone with a bag. “When I see the money people for the end of the product, my mind works clearer,” he explained. “I can’t express myself right now financially.” Regardless, come back to HNHH for the latest news and updates on Mike Tyson.

Mike Tyson Reveals Who He Is Open To Fighting Against

Mike Tyson is one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time. Although, you probably didn’t need us to tell you that. Overall, his resume speaks for itself. He was one of the hardest punchers ever, and he was feared in the ring. These days, Tyson has been more than happy to run his cannabis business while also hosting an incredibly successful podcast. This success has been fun to watch, and there is no doubt that fans are curious about the legend’s future endeavors. After all, he did fight Roy Jones Jr. in 2020.

However, that fight against Jones Jr. was ultimately overshadowed by Jake Paul’s knockout of Nate Robinson. Regardless, Jones Jr. and Mike Tyson put on quite the show, with the match ending in a tie. Subsequently, fans have been clamoring for a rematch. Moreover, there was a sense that Tyson would fight Evander Holyfield. Unfortunately, that fight ended up falling through due to a dispute over money. With all of that being said, there seems to be a real appetite to see Iron Mike fight again.

Mike Tyson Speaks

While being interviewed by TMZ, Tyson spoke about the potential for another fight. As you can see in the video up above, he is open to anything. However, it would have to be for the right price. In fact, he would fight anybody, although Jones Jr. and Holyfield are all solid and worthwhile options. “When I see the money people for the end of the product, my mind works clearer. I can’t express myself right now financially,” Tyson admitted. Needless to say, there is at least some convincing left to be done.

Overall, the appetite for a Mike Tyson fight is still very much there. However, someone is going to have to drop the bag for it. Considering how much these YouTube stars are pulling in, surely someone will drop some cash to see Tyson duke it out with someone. Let us know who you want to see Tyson fight against, in the comments down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news from around the sports world.

Wiz Khalifa Gives Max B His Flowers

Wiz Khalifa is continuing to show love to one his favorite rappers. Max B came to prominence in the mid 2000s. The Harlem native first began getting hype when he appeared on several songs in 2005. Perhaps most notably, he featured on Jim Jones’ “Baby Girl” and Cam’ron’s “You Gotta Love it.” Furthermore. Max B released his first mixtape, Million Dollar Baby in 2006. However, legal troubles would derail the budding star’s career. Despite this, Max continues to be a beloved figure among many hip-hop fans. One of those fans is Wiz Khalifa.

Wiz recently appeared on Mike Tyson’s Hotboxin Podcast. The “Black and Yellow” rapper revealed why Max B is such an inspiration. “He just had a really dope, just real in-your-face real confidence,” he said. “I looked up to that.” In many ways, Max B was a pioneer in hip-hop. The melodic style he helped make famous is now commonplace. Wiz says Max’ style was also one of the things that stood out about him. “I look up to his melodies,” Wiz said. “I like how he mixed melody and rap.

Wiz Khalifa Explains Why Max B Resonated With Him

Additionally, Wiz also says he seeks to emulate Max’s incredible work rate. “Dude had like 28 mixtapes before he went to jail,” he said. “At that point in my life, it was like, that’s a dude that I can relate to because I’m like man, I’m tryna go that hard too. I want to be in peoples’ faces too.” Furthermore, Wiz, sees his confidence as something else he’s learned from Max. “I’m that confident about my music as well,” he said. Furthermore, Wiz credits to Max B for making such an impact while being a largely underground rapper. “He was like, really still an underground artist but people like me and Curren$y and a couple other people,” he said. “We really gravitated towards him and seen the polish in all of that.”

Max B was slated to become a breakout star in 2006. However, in July of that year, he was arrested on serious felony charges. Authorities accused Max of participating in a botched robbery and homicide in New Jersey. Subsequently, he was found guilty in 2009 and sentenced to 75 years in prison. However, his sentence would later be reduced to 12 years. Furthermore, Max’ friend and label mate French Montana has claimed that Max will be released later this year.
