Overall, some fans had criticized Paul, saying this was a bad idea. That he had no business getting in the ring with someone double his age, who is clearly of poor health.

Well, it seems as though Paul is not listening to any of that. Additionally, neither is Tyson. Earlier today, it was revealed that the fight will go on as planned, except it will now take place on November 15th. AT&T Stadium will still house the fight, and it will still be available live on Netflix. That said, this will not soften the debate around whether or not this fight should even be happening at all. When Schulz confronted Dana about the fight during the program, the UFC President immediately referred to it as “ridiculous.” He is one of many figures to through out concern over the fight due to the age disparity.

“When this fight happens Tyson will be 58 f**kin years old. Under any circumstances an almost 60-year-old man shouldn’t be fighting a 27-year-old guy under any circumstances

Katherine Schaffstall of In Touch Weekly reported that Tyson experienced a “medical emergency” on a flight from Miami to Los Angeles.

ICYMI, paramedics treated Tyson upon landing, and his representatives later explained that he had an “ulcer flare-up” causing him to feel “nauseous and dizzy.” They added that Tyson was “appreciative to the medical staff there to help him.”

Now, Tyson, 57, is widely considered one of the greatest heavyweight boxers, although he has not competed in an official match since 2005. His recent notable activity includes an exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr. in 2020, which ended in an eight-round split draw.

The larger-than-life “sanctioned” bout on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, will pit Tyson against Jake Paul, who is 30 years younger and far less experienced.

On a recenrt episode of their sports talk show It Is What It Is, rappers turned sportscasters Camron and Ma$e explain ow they were offered the opportunity to walk Mike Tyson out in his upcoming fight against Jake Paul and why they turned it down.

“They offered us the walkout with Mike Tyson,” the Dipset head honcho said. “This was before this incident and I’m like, ‘I’m not sure if I want to do that.’ Now, I’m probably not going to do it.” Cam continued, “‘Cause I don’t want n-ggas blaming me for nothing when n-ggas don’t win. Like when Devin [Haney] lost [to Ryan Garcia], n-ggas said, ‘Why he wearing Balenciaga sneakers?’ [
] If we walk Mike out and Mike don’t win, I don’t know if I need that type of pressure.”
