The music industry has been shaped and influenced by countless artists throughout history. These musicians have significantly impacted the industry, from their unique styles to powerful voices. Artists from the past continue to inspire and influence the music we hear today. Here’s a closer look at some of the most influential artists and their impact […]
Growing up as Michael Jackson’s son is akin to being born into American music royalty, a towering shadow indeed. Prince Michael Joseph Jackson Jr., more commonly known as Prince Jackson, was born on February 13, 1997, in Los Angeles, California. The world waited with bated breath for each glimpse of him, a son of pop culture’s most enigmatic and mesmerizing figure. Sheltered from the media circus surrounding his father, Prince was educated at home for the initial years of his life. His rearing came laced with both the ordinary—family game nights, for instance—and the extraordinary: think private Disneyland visits. As of 2023, his net worth sits at an estimated $100 million, according to WealthyGorilla.
Treading His Own Path: Career Highlights & Academic Achievements
Though often considered a potential musician, Prince Jackson has proved he’s a multifaceted individual with unique interests. After graduating from Buckley School, he chose to delve into higher education. He attended Loyola Marymount University and graduated with a degree in business administration. The focus here was clear: mastering the alchemy of financial growth, perhaps a crucial playbook given his inherited assets. But it wasn’t all spreadsheets and lectures. Prince dabbled in media, too, having guest-starred in the TV show 90210 and engaging in various charity events.
More Than A Last Name: Personal Life & Philanthropy
Rather than living a life splashed across tabloids, Prince Jackson has taken to philanthropy like a fish to water. Heal Los Angeles, his charitable organization, aims to help the city’s underprivileged populations. It’s not just a token endeavor. Prince is actively involved, serving as the driving force behind fundraising efforts, partnerships, and events. The organization’s mission reflects his personal values, emanating from a home where charitable work was more than just a tax write-off. It was a genuine effort to make the world better, much like his iconic father did with efforts such as the Heal the World Foundation.
Further, Michael Jackson’s son hasn’t been idly sitting on his inheritance. Prince has a hefty share in his late father’s estate, which continues to rake in money from an extensive catalog and other intellectual properties. His portfolio also shows signs of diversification, with investments in various industries, giving him a well-rounded base to continue growing his already considerable fortune. The shrewdness of these moves is becoming more apparent with each fiscal quarter. Although not as public as other celebrity scions, Prince’s business ventures illustrate the enduring power of the Jackson legacy in more ways than just musical.
Life In His Own Right: A Formidable Conclusion
Prince Jackson is meticulously crafting an individual path, informed by his inherited legacy but not shackled by it. While some might be content merely being an heir, Prince has taken up the mantle of entrepreneur, philanthropist, and educated young man. Through his actions, he’s telling the world that he’s more than his last name. He is an emerging force in philanthropy and business, a combination that assures his fortune is not just static but growing. His narrative adds layers to the Jackson saga, not as a footnote but as a critical and evolving chapter.
Celebrities run in to their fans all the time, but it’s not often that they share the hilarious encounters with their social media followers. 50 Cent, who has never shied away from speaking his mind about ongoing affairs online, decided to change this on Thursday (September 14). The New York-based rapper hopped on Twitter to reveal that, during a recent workout amid his The Final Lap tour, he was caught lacking in terms of his pop culture history knowledge. Ever the gentleman, though, Fif was sure to say sorry when he learned of his ignorance.
Last night, the father of two shared four photos in a tweet explaining what happened when a woman approached him about his shirt. “I’m in the gym working out and this girl says, ‘You like Michael Jackson? .” I said, ‘This a Drake shirt fool,’” 50 wrote. In the first image, he poses in the black top, which shows nothing more than a close-up of Drake’s eyes across his chest. The other images reveal where the 36-year-old got his inspiration from – Jackson’s Dangerous World Tour in the early ’90s.
“Then I Googled and this popped up,” Fif admitted. “WTF . I had to apologize!” his story concluded. Drake has yet to respond to the funny moment, though it likely won’t be long before he has something to say. The 6ix God and his friend have been making headlines together consistently over the past few weeks, particularly due to the Power producer’s desire to be showered in bras by fans as the “Over” hitmaker has.
On the topic of Michael Jackson, the Virgo icon has been in the news frequently following what would’ve been his 64th birthday. While plenty of artists have paid tribute to the “Thriller” hitmaker since his untimely death, none of them are doing it quite like Offset. Read what the rapper’s wife, Cardi B, had to say about her man’s portrait tattoo of MJ at the link below, and tap back in later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.
TMZ recently caught Offset on the streets of New York, and of course had to ask him some questions. After all, he’s been quite busy as of late, whether on stages, in the studio, or on your timelines. A recent interview clip of Cardi B talking about her rap boo’s Michael Jackson tattoo went viral for its comical nature. “I really need you to see the Michael Jackson tattoo he got on his stomach,” she joked on Ebro In The Morning. “I don’t even want to take it there. Every single time that I, you know, like,” she went on as she bit the air, “it just be looking at me.”
However, Offset told the publication that there’s no way that any viral clip or confession will make him cover tup or remove the ink. In addition, the Georgia trap icon said that his next single “Fan” will come out on Friday (September 15), putting him in full album rollout mode. Also, he spoke briefly on performing during Beyoncé’s RENAISSANCE show in Los Angeles. “It was honorable,” the 31-year-old stated. “I wanted to show my showmanship, that’s why I came. Shout out to B, happy birthday to her, too.”
Of course, that wasn’t the only viral clip ‘Set had to address, as many loved seeing him do the electric slide with Kris Jenner, Jay-Z, and more. “It was just a vibe,” Offset recalled. “We was all chillin’. Shout out to Hov. You know, he cool, laidback, he ain’t how you might think he would be. We just havin’ fun, it was a family vibe, you know, like a cookout.” While he was already getting back to his hotel when the interview occurred, the “2 LIVE” MC had some more fun in NYC. In fact, he shared some of that with fans by throwing out $100 bills in the street.
Meanwhile, it’s great to see him get these wins, secure his social media bag with Cardi, and keep working on his new music. Fans have been waiting for a while for him to really kick things into overdrive. Hopefully the upcoming single means that the album isn’t far behind. In Cardi B’s controversial song, “WAP,” she in explicit sexual instructions for her husband, Offset, to follow in the bedroom. But as much as she would like for, in her words, “Touch that little dangly thing in the back of her throat,” sometimes that urge subsides when Offset removes his shirt.
Yesterday (September 7), during a recent appearance on Hot 97’s Ebro In The Morning, the “Bongos” rapper revealed that Offset’s tattoo of the late Michael Jackson is a sexy time deterrent for an awkwardly funny reason.
Although Offset’s body is covered with ink, the King of Pop’s mural placement isn’t ideal for Cardi. “I really need you to see the Michael Jackson tattoo he got on his stomach. I don’t even want to take it there,” said the recording artist.
“Every single time that I, you know, like,” Cardi paused as she attempted not to be too raunchy on a live morning radio, “It just be looking at me.” Cardi has no problem outlining her sexual desires and explorations in her music, but while in the act, it is clear that she’d rather not have the deceased music icon staring back at her.

Offset’s obsession with Michael Jackson isn’t limited to his body art. Over the years, Offset has sported fashion looks in tribute to Jackson. However, if it has become a WAP-repellent, he might want to reconsider it (hehe).
Cardi B is a Warne Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.
For couples as famous asCardi B and Offset, speaking on their more intimate personal lives can be a bit odd. However, when you’re a couple as outspoken and frank as the rap duo, that barrier pretty much comes undone. Moreover, the Bronx MC recently spoke to Ebro, Laura Stylez, and Pete Rosenberg on Ebro In The Morning on HOT 97 in an exclusive unreleased interview to be released on Friday (September 8). In a particularly funny clip, Cardi talks about how ‘Set’s huge Michael Jackson tattoo on his stomach can make things a bit uncomfortable in the bedroom. It’s a bit more detailed than you might like, but her delivery made it nonetheless comical.
“I really need you to see the Michael Jackson tattoo he got on his stomach,” Cardi B remarked. “I don’t even want to take it there. Every single time that I, you know, like,” she continued while mimicking biting, “it just be looking at me.” At one point, she even imitates how Offset’s ink looks at her during… you know. Regardless of how much of that you wanted to hear from their interaction, it was still a pretty funny moment that had the co-hosts bursting out laughing.
Still, it’s clear that these days they might be a little too busy to be thinking about all that. After all, they’re both working on their next projects, and Cardi B in particular has a lot to look forward to this week. Her comeback single with Megan Thee Stallion, “BONGOS,” drops in just a few hours as of writing this article. Not only are fans incredibly excited, but the “Get Up 10” hitmaker amped up hype and conversation around it by pointing to the sultry cover art’s misdirection.
“Me and Megan, we tricked you b***hes,” she stated on IG Live while displaying CD copies of the single. “These covers- we tricked you b***hes. Wanna know how we tricked you? This is not the theme of the song or the video. We want y’all to believe that it’s giving something that it’s not. You cannot outwork me, b***hes.” For more news and the latest updates on Cardi B and Offset, stay posted on HNHH.
50 Cent has been no stranger to controversy recently. The rapper could potentially be in legal trouble after he recently threw a microphone into a crowd in frustration. He was upset with repeated audio issues holding back his performance, but the microphone he threw ended up hitting a woman in the crowd. Since the incident, he’s faced quite a bit of public backlash. He’s also become the subject of a battery investigation surrounding the incident.
Today on his Instagram, 50 Cent waded into even more controversy. He shared a painting that depicts Michael Jackson handing his crown off to Chris Brown. In the caption, he doubled down on praising the controversial R&B singer. “I like this, I want a painting like this in black and white. @chrisbrownofficial is really the best sh*t we got out here, but nobody will say it so I gotta say it,” the caption reads. Fans in the comments quickly expressed their disagreement. “Bro this ain’t it, your smoking crack,” the top comment on the post reads. “Michael Jackson, still the king of pop,” another agrees. Check out the full post and all the fan reactions below.
The series of controversies comes after a pretty prosperous few months for 50 leading up to the mic throw. He made waves with all sorts of rap fans for a recent team-up with Nas. He appeared on the rapper’s new album Magic 2 where they collaborated on a song for the first time in more than two decades. What do you think of 50 Cent’s claim that Chris Brown is a modern-day Michael Jackson? Let us know in the comment section below.
Offset recently hopped on Instagram, showing off another Michael Jackson-inspired outfit. The artist rocks a look similar to what MJ wore in the iconic promotional video for his 1995 LP, HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book I. Instead of sporting the original “777” on his arm, however, Offset’s sleeve reads “1013.” The post seemingly teased the release date of his upcoming album, which could drop on October 13. “Renaissance,” the carousel is captioned. One of the photos showcases him joining Beyonce on her “Renaissance” world tour last night. In the other photos, he stands in front of a group of four wearing gas masks, with white jackets reading “Crisis Response Team” on the back. This is far from Offset’s first nod to the King of Pop, as he frequently pays tribute with his looks.
The LP’s release date is approaching, with Offset revealing just last week that it’s finally finished. “Albummmmmmm!!!!!! Turned in!!!!!!!” he wrote on Twitter, sparking excited reactions from fans. During an interview for Apple Music 1 last month, Offset said that the album would arrive sometime in October, however, he had yet to share an official release date. “Yeah, we’re coming in October but right now we’re just applying pressure,” he shared. “Creatively, content-wise, I’m going to just keep my rollout going.”
He went on to explain that the rollout began with the release of his track with Cardi B, “Jealousy,” in July. “With this album, I’m definitely going to be showing way more personality, way more of who Offset is, creatively,” he explained. Offset’s next project is also set to be jam-packed with high-profile features. Travis Scott, Latto, Future, and more are confirmed to appear on the upcoming LP.
Earlier this year, Offset also revealed that the album will feature the last song he ever recorded with his late Migos groupmate, Takeoff. “This is me going full-fledged into my solo career,” the artist explained. “I’m coming through, bustin’ through the door. It’s all set, my next chapter. It’s my time.” Keep an eye on HNHH for more updates on Offset.
Virgo season has only just begun, but already, we’re celebrating the legacy of one of music’s most profound creatives on what would’ve been his 64th birthday. Today (August 29) marks another trip around the Sun for the spirit of Michael Jackson, and to commemorate, we’re revisiting one of the King of Pop’s biggest feel-good hits – “The Way You Make Me Feel.”
Unsurprisingly, the groovy track previously reached No. 1 on the charts in America. Like many other titles included on the Bad album, it finds Jackson feeling confident in himself, though he’s obviously more vulnerable than usual as he professes deep feelings for his lover. “Hey, pretty baby with the high heels on / You give me fever like I’ve never, ever known,” his voice beautifully croons on the first verse. “You’re just a product of loveliness / I like the groove of your walk, your talk, your dress.”
Celebrate Michael Jackson on What Would’ve Been His 64th B-Day
Other memorable songs from Bad include “Man in the Mirror,” “Smooth Criminal,” and “Dirty Diana,” those only begin to cover some of Jackson’s best work throughout his long-spanning career. He’s in great company as far as Virgo entertainers go, with Beyonce, Keke Palmer, Zendaya, Jennifer Hudson, Shania Twain, and Adam Sandler all among those who celebrate under the notorious perfectionist sign.
Revisit Michael Jackson’s classic “The Way You Make Me Feel” visual above, or add the song to your playlist on Spotify/Apple Music. If you’re in the mood for more throwback hits, we suggest Beyonce’s “Love On Top,” which the mother of three performed while sharing some extra special news with the world this week in 2011. Tap into that at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.
I like this feelin’ you’re givin’ me Just hold me, baby, and I’m in ecstasy Oh, I’ll be workin’ from nine to five To buy you things to keep you by my side
Michael Jackson was apparently a big 50 Cent fan, as he even tried to call The Gameso they could squash their beef. Moreover, the G-Unit mogul recently found a clip of Chris Tucker joking about the King of Pop’s love for his massive hit, “In Da Club.” Overall, Fif found it quite amusing, especially considering fans who might not have known about the connection between these two. On Sunday (August 20), he took to Instagram to share the clip in question, captioning it with “yo chris is cr*zy, who didn’t like that one LOL.” If you didn’t think that MJ was tapped in with other music during his era, then think again.
“He liked rap,” Chris Tucker said of the musical and cultural icon. “He liked that 50 Cent song ‘In Da Club,’ he liked the beat. So he’d be jamming to the beat. We’d be riding in the car and Michael would just be jamming to the beat. It’s cool until you start saying the words. That’s when it sound cr*zy.” Then, the actor and comedian imitated Michael Jackson singing along to the 2003 banger.
“[I said] ‘Michael, Michael, no! Don’t sing the words. Please,’” Chris Tucker continued of his 50 Cent fandom. “[He replied] ‘I love that song, Chris! I love that beat. I love it, Chris. That is a cold-blooded beat. Of course I wouldn’t go in the club with a bottle full of ‘bub, Chris. I wouldn’t do that! But I love that song!’ ‘It doesn’t sound right, Mike.’ ‘I know but I love it!’” If anything, this anecdote might make you wonder what other rap hits Michael Jackson was a big fan of. For what it’s worth, they don’t get bigger than “In Da Club.”
Meanwhile, much like the Thriller superstar himself, the New York MC has maintained his status as a legend within music. In fact, during his recent tour stop, he expressed shock and awe at the sight of a nine-year-old fan in the stands. Just goes to show that tracks like “In Da Club” still hold a lot of weight, and a Michael Jackson cosign can’t hurt. Regardless, log back into HNHH for the latest news and updates on 50 Cent.
