Dame Dash Says Irv Gotti’s Latest Criticism Has Him Concerned About His Mental Health

Dame Dash says that he’s worried about Irv Gotti’s “mental health” after his former business partner claimed that JAY-Z was solely responsible for the success of Roc-A-Fella Records. Speaking on The CEO Show on Saturday, Dame fired back at the remarks.

“Irv is my brother, so sometimes I worry about his mental health,” he said during the interview. “What I see him doing is celebrating, taking his artists’ masters and selling them and saying, ‘Y’know, this is how I make my money,’ and that’s the furthest thing that I would ever do with any one of my artists. My thing is to keep a creative as economically empowered as possible ’cause you know what you get when you get a rich creative? You get a Kanye [West], you get a JAY-Z. So my artists generally end up being billionaires.”

As for Gotti’s comments, he had been speaking with N.O.R.E. on Drink Champs, last month, about JAY-Z’s The Book of HOV. There had been rumors that Dame Dash had been “removed” from the exhibit. In response, Gotti mentioned that he feels JAY-Z doesn’t like Dame. “Jay didn’t need nobody,” Irv said. “[Dame] started Roc-A-Fella with Jay and Biggs [Kareem Burke], so he should get credited. [But] I’m saying the making of the records — I don’t know what you want me to say. Jay didn’t need nobody. Jay was picking the beats, Jay was rapping over the beats, Jay was making things — it was all Hov! Dame was along for the ride. It was a great ride.” Check out Dame’s response below.

JAY-Z and Dame’s relationship has been rocky at best for years. In 2021, JAY-Z and Roc-A-Fella Records sued Dame Dash over an attempt to sell Reasonable Doubt, as an NFT.

Tiffany Haddish Wants Ex-Friend’s Lawsuit Moved To Private Court

Tiffany Haddish is Reportedly Not Returning to The Last O.G. for Season Four

Comedian Tiffany Haddish is back in the news after she was served in the $1 million defamation of character lawsuit filed by her ex-friend Trizah Morris. Tiffany is still being accused of extortion, even though her friend’s son and daughter dropped their lawsuit against Tiffany and comedian Aries Spears.
Now Tiffany wants the case moved to arbitration…

Radar Online reports:

Tiffany Haddish has demanded the lawsuit brought by her former friend Trizah Morris be fought in private court — claiming she previously had her pal sign an agreement that contained a confidentiality clause that prevents her from blabbing about things, RadarOnline.com has learned.

According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, the comedian and her powerhouse attorney Shawn Holley have requested Morris’ lawsuit be moved to arbitration.

Arbitration is where a case is heard by a private judge without a jury. The case and hearings are not open to the public.

As we first reported, last month, Morris sued her ex-friend Haddish and comedian Aries Spears.

Morris is the mother of the two adults who sued Haddish and Spears over sexually inappropriate skits they appeared in as children.

Love & Hip Hop’ Star Erica Mena Disappointed She Was Left Out Of Show’s Colorism Special

erica Mena 2

Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star Erica Mena has been in hot water when she was recently cut from the show after calling a co-star a racial slur. Now she is striking back at the show claiming she is disappointed she wasn’t invited to the post-finale special, Racism, Colorism, and the Uncomfortable Truth.

Hosted by Colorism Healing founder Dr. Sarah L. Webb, a few Love & Hip Hop Atlanta stars sat down for a roundtable discussion about racism and anti-Black bias in society. Mena was notably absent, and allegedly she was asked not to participate.

According to her rep, Steve Honig, Mena would’ve wanted to participate in the special and conversation but said the show instead chose to “silence her.”

In the Aug. 29 episode of the reality series, co-star Spice insulted Mena’s children, and Mena responded by flipping a table and yelling obscenities including, “You should’ve died” and “You monkey, you f—ing blue monkey.”

The following week, the show announced on social media that Mena would be removed from the series. “The Love & Hip Hop franchise has never shied away from hard conversations in our community,” the statement began. “Working hand-in-hand with our partners, viewers will see the impact of Erica Mena’s remarks play out in the final three episodes of the season. Effectively immediately, she will not appear in the next season.”

Mena has since apologized for the remark. “I deeply regret my insensitive comment and want to humbly apologize to anybody I hurt or offended by my thoughtlessness,” she said.

Honig also claimed that reports saying they stopped working with her immediately is false, and the show continued filming with Mena for months after the incident.

Chandler Jones Sparks More Concern After Bizarre Livestream

Chandler Jones has continued to concern fans with his antics. The most recent update to the unfolding saga is a livestream Jones did earlier this week. Jones, who appeared to be out in the desert, shone a flashlight directly at this camera before starting to cry uncontrollably after claiming that Aaron Hernandez didn’t kill himself in prison.

Jones remains away from the Las Vegas Raiders and was recently added to their non-football injury reserve list. Previously, Jones had publicly beefed with the Raiders over unknown circumstances. In since-deleted tweets, Jones appeared to claim that Raiders ownership was “protecting” someone who had molested Jones’ goddaughter. However, Jones claimed that the tweets were the result of a hacker. Despite this, Jones has since reiterated these claims in new tweets.

Jones Claims Forced Hospitalization

Earlier this week, Jones claimed that he was hospitalized against his will by the Las Vegas Fire Department. In journal entries posted to X, Jones recounted his ordeal. He claims to have been taken from his open by a group of firemen and injected with an unknown substance in the back of an ambulance. From there, he was taken to Southern Hills Hospital and later transferred to Seven Hills Behavioral Health Hospital. Jones reportedly refused medications and was not told why he had been hospitalized. Furthermore, Jones claimed the “5 to 7” firemen who brought him to the hospital had told him that he was the subject of a “court hold”.

Furthermore, Jones alleged that he had called Raiders GM Dave Zeigler “6 to 7 times asking for help and I wondered if he had me put in here, but he never answered.” Jones has claimed that he is simply seeking answers about the behavior exhibited by the Raiders. “I’m still confused on what I did wrong. I’m stuck here, I’m very sane, I’m to strong of a person to be mentally broken.” The Raiders, LVFD, and LVPD all declined to comment on the situation.

WGA, AMPTP Reach Historic Contract Agreement To End 146-Day Writers Strike

Screen Shot 2023 09 25 at 2.02.04 AM

Finally! Hollywood can bring back our shows. The WGA and major studios and streamers have reached a tentative agreement on a new three-year contract that promises to end the 146-day strike that has taken a heavy toll across the content industry.

Negotiators for the Writers Guild of America and Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers reached the finish line Sunday after five consecutive days of negotiations. Day 4 on Saturday mostly involved lawyers for the guild and AMPTP hashing out the fine print of language around complicated and groundbreaking additions to the WGA’s Minimum Basic Agreement. The details of language around the use of generative AI in content production was one of the last items that the sides worked on before closing the pact.

“We can say, with great pride, that this deal is exceptional – with meaningful gains and protections for writers in every sector of the membership,” the WGA’s negotiating committee wrote in an email to sent to members at 7:10 p.m. PT

The strike itself will still be in force through the guild’s contract approval and ratification process. But picketing has been suspended as of Sunday night. Guild leaders are expected to vote on Tuesday on whether to formally lift the strike order against AMPTP signatories.

“To be clear, no one is to return to work until specifically authorized to by the Guild. We are still on strike until then,” the message to members stated.

Details of the contract agreement won’t be released until the final language is completed over the coming days. WGA leadership expects to vote on Tuesday on the final pact. First the negotiating committee will vote on whether to recommend that the deal go to a vote of the board of the WGA West and council of WGA East. Assuming both of those votes approve the pact, the contract will be sent out for ratification by WGA’s 11,000 members.

“Though we are eager to share the details of what has been achieved with you, we cannot do that until the last ‘i’ is dotted,” the message to members stated. “To do so would complicate our ability to finish the job. So, as you have been patient with us before, we ask you to be patient again – one last time.”

YK Osiris’ Instagram Story Shares Reflective Message: “I Am Genuine”

YK Osiris has been called a lot of things throughout his career, but despite all the ups and downs, the 25-year-old is still proud to say he’s remained genuine. 2023 has been a particularly tough year for him, from the infamous Sukihana smooching scandal to, more recently, a barber accusing him of walking out of his haircut appointment without paying. The former situation was particularly tense for YK, as he was facing allegations of assault for kissing the reality starlet without her consent. Thankfully they’ve since made up, leaving the Florida native free to focus his energy on handling the situation with his barber.

On Monday (September 18), Osiris’ Instagram Story lit up with a video of him sitting in her chair once again, both looking pleased to be in each other’s company. “Let’s get this understood, she didn’t do [nothing] for clout. The man I am apologized to her and she forgave me. Let’s get that understood,” the “Worth It” singer clarified to his followers.

YK Osiris Clears His Name After Reconciling with Barber

YK Osiris
@ykosiris/Instagram Story

On Tuesday afternoon, YK had more to say. “[I don’t care] how much someone [tries] to put me under [for real], I’m always going to stay true to myself and love others,” he declared over a black screen. “I’m not [an] evil, cold-hearted person. I am genuine ❤🙏🏾. Big facts.” To prove his point, prior to that Osiris shared a video of him paying his stylist up front. “Not playing no more lol,” he wrote on the screen.

It was clearly important for YK Osiris to make things right with the barber who had issues with him, but we can’t help but wonder about the $20K Audemars Piguet watch he allegedly stole from a celebrity jeweller. The news broke earlier in the summer, accusing the R&B singer of promising to send payment for the luxury piece upon trying it on, but later refusing to follow through. Read more about that at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Women’s Expo Alleges Wendy Williams’ Team Kept Money After Cancelling Scheduled Appearance

Wendy

Back in May, fans were concerned when former daytime talk show host Wendy Williams was a no-show at the Women’s Expo in Atlanta. The beloved gossip queen was scheduled to host the event but shocked fans when she canceled at the last minute.
Now reports are claiming Wendy’s team never reimbursed promoters the money for the canceled appearance.

The Sun reports:

WENDY Williams’ management never returned the full $25,000 payment for the Women’s Expo appearance after her team canceled the gig, The U.S. Sun has exclusively learned.

The U.S. Sun exclusively obtained copies of wire transfers, as well as email correspondences between Wendy’s team including her manager Will Selby, publicist Shawn Zanotti, and entertainment attorney Deborah Hrbek in the aftermath of the event.

Wendy, 59, canceled her appearance as the headline speaker just days before she was set to appear at the May 20 event due to health concerns.

Wire transfers revealed that the full initial payment for the event was sent to Wendy’s publicist’s company, Exact Publicity, but after the star backed out at the last minute, the Expo was left to scramble for a replacement speaker, whom they had to also pay.

In three separate wire transfers back to the Expo, Wendy’s publicist’s company sent back $12,500 on May 17 immediately after her client officially backed out of the gig, and then another $1,250 on June 9.

Wendy’s manager Will only sent back $1,250 on June 12.

After those transfers, no other money was sent back to the company and to this day, the Expo remains out at least $15,000, according to sources familiar with the transactions.

Additionally, in emails reviewed by The U.S. Sun, the Expo attempted to have the rest of the money sent back from Wendy’s team, however, the star’s new entertainment lawyer Deborah suggested that it was Shawn’s PR company that had signed onto the event and not Wendy herself.

Despite Wendy filming promotional videos for the event, and her manager Will sending the Expo back money from the company he created- The Wendy Experience Inc – her attorney suggested that her publicist Shawn wasn’t authorized to book the star for this engagement.

In one email reviewed by The U.S. Sun sent on June 23, Wendy’s attorney wrote: “I am doing my best to help here despite the fact that Shawn had no authority to enter this agreement on behalf of Wendy or any entity owned by her.”

Desiigner Plans To Enter Guilty Plea Following Airplane Masturbation Scandal

According to a recent report by TMZ Hip Hop, Desiigner is scheduled to enter a guilty plea tomorrow. Back in April, it was revealed that the performer was caught masturbating on an airplane, leaving him facing charges of indecent exposure. Shortly after the incident, he took to social media to apologize, claiming that the mistake was a result of poor mental health. “I am ashamed of my actions that happened on that plane,” he wrote. “Mental health is real guys, please pray for me.

Desiigner claims that since the incident, he’s been attending therapy to improve his mental wellbeing. The situation should come to a close sometime in the not-so-distant future, luckily, as he’s taking accountability. Upon entering his guilty plea, the artist will serve two years of probation. He’ll also pay a $5K fine, do 120 hours of community service, and issue a public apology to the staff of the plane. Reportedly, Desiigner’s attorney will also ask the court to withhold any possible travel restrictions, which could impact his career. His team claims that he’s put his “heart and soul” into new music as part of his recovery.

Desiigner To Serve Two Years Of Probation

In August, legal documents were uncovered which appeared to reveal that Desiigner violated his pretrial release terms. He allegedly admitted to failing to show up for drug testing. According to the documents, his probation officer also said he hadn’t shown proof that he’d been attending counseling sessions. It appears, however, that the artist is ready to turn over a new leaf.

As far as his musical career goes, Desiigner’s management claims he has plans to tour this year as well as in 2024. He’s dropped off some singles in the past few months, even delivering a mental health-centered track in May, “Timmy Turner 2.” At the beginning of June, he returned with the song “Mafia Water” before releasing the club-ready single “Young N Ballin” last month. Keep an eye on HNHH for more updates on Desiigner.
