This week actress KeKe Palmer was granted sole custody of her son with Darius Jackson and a restraining order after accusing him of domestic violence. Video stills of Jackson allegedly abusing Palmer have circulated the internet leaving fans in uproar.
Now authorities are ordering Darius to turn over his firearms after threatening to harm himself if KeKe left him.
Radar Online reports:
KeKe Palmer’s ex-boyfriend Darius Jackson was ordered to immediately turn over all weapons in his possession. RadarOnline.com obtained the temporary restraining order Palmer obtained against Jackson.
Jackson must stay 100 yards away from Palmer and their 8-month-old son. In addition, the actress was granted sole custody until further notice. A hearing has been scheduled for December 5 where Palmer can argue to make the order permanent. Palmer and Jackson dated from 2021 until she broke things off for good in October 2023. In her petition for the restraining order, Palmer told the court Jackson owned a handgun. She said he had previously threatened to “kill himself with a gun if I left him.”
As part of the order, the judge said Jackson had 24 hours, after being served with the order, to turn over his weapon to local law enforcement.
Danny Brown is an artist who has been through a lot during his career. However, his discography is one that is heavily celebrated. The Detroit MC has made some amazing music and his fans are always excited about what’s next. He dropped a collaborative album with JPEGMAFIA earlier this year which turned out to be an AOTY contender. Furthermore, he has more new music on the way, very soon. Needless to say, if you are a Brown fan, you have been given plenty of reasons to be excited.
Unfortunately, Brown has gone through numerous struggles over the years. He has been very forthcoming about his problems with addiction. In a conversation with The Guardian, Brown got to talk about many of those problems he has faced. His rock bottom happened during the middle of the pandemic after a breakup. “I got to the point where I was pretty much suicidal,” Brown noted while referencing the fentanyl crisis and not caring about the source of his drugs.
“I’m in this nice-ass apartment, it was like four bedrooms, but I’m lonely as fuck. It got to the point I was just getting fucked up, every day, by myself,” he continued to note. “It was seven days a week. I was in pain all the time. Throwing up and shit, you know? It was my rock bottom, that’s how it was.” Recently, Brown was able to go to rehab and get himself right. It’s not easy to pull that off, but he did so with grace, and you cannot help but be proud of him.

Actress Lanisha Cole recently checked a Nick Cannon fan when they tried to attack her parenting after she posted a video of her boyfriend taking her and Nick’s daughter trick or treating.
Lanisha shared a post gushing about how much her boyfriend loves her daughter.
She wrote:
The way Brian loves her I can’t even begin to tell you how special their bond is He doesn’t celebrate Halloween but he knows how much these moments mean to me. Onyx will have so many beautiful memories
A Nick Cannon fan didn’t agree with this and wrote in the comments:
Typical black woman, hope you don’t turn her against her real dad because he is a good man, remember you’re one who step out of the relationship. He loves his children’s and he take care of everyone
Lanisha then responded:
Y’all take any opportunity to sh*t on black women. She has her relationship with her Father which he himself speaks on. He absolutely loves ALL of his children which is evident. I go out of my way to make sure that he has his time with her and I would never speak negatively about him or make Onyx feel anything other than love for her Dad. It’s nothing but love on the days he comes to pick her up. Please stay off my page and leave black women alone
This week podcaster DJ Akademiks got dragged online by openly gay rapper Saucy Santana as he defended his close friend City Girls rapper Yung Miami. The rapper also noted that the podcaster spends time degrading and black women but doesn’t treat men the same way. Santana even defended Glorilla who DJ Academics welcomed to a fight.
In defense of black women once again the legendary Queen Latifah calls out Akademiks for his double standard.
“IT’S CRAZY TO ME HOW DJ AKADEMIKS IS CRYING SCARED TO SAY ANYTHING TO SAUCY SANTANA BECAUSE HE’S A GAY MAN AND HE’S SCARED OF GETTING “CANCELLED” BUT HAS SAID SOME OF THE MOST OUTLANDISH, VILE, DISRESPECTFUL AND DEMEANING THINGS TO BLACK WOMEN WITH ABSOLUTELY NO FEAR WHATSOEVER.. Pri. BRINGS ME BACK TO MALCOLM X’S QUOTE.. THE MOST DISRESPECTED, UNPROTECTED AND NEGLECTED PERSON IS AMERICA IS THE BLACK WOMAN!”
For more than two years now, NBA Youngboy has been under house arrest in Utah. His situation spawns from a 2020 arrest for firearm and narcotics possession. After a further arrest in Los Angeles where he was found with another firearm, the courts came down hard. From his bail proceedings to his eventual sentencing to house arrest, he hasn’t been afforded much leniency. Consequently, as his sentence is being increasingly discussed publicly by fans, he’s looking for a way to loosen the terms.
According to All Hip Hop in a new statement made by his lawyers, Youngboy explains why he’d like his house arrest terms altered. “Being confined to his home and unable to complete his employment obligations has led to great anxiety, depression, loss of weight and sleep. [NBA YoungBoy] has been visibly stressed and has expressed concern and loss of hope that he will be able to return to his contracted employment obligation,” the lawyer’s statement reads. It’s unclear if it will work as government prosecutors have expressed skepticism in what counts as “employment obligations.” A judge is expected to eventually rule on the request. NBA Youngboy Dealing With Deteriorating Mental Health
Youngboy has had fans worried about his mental health on multiple occasions this year. Just last week he posted a somewhat unhinged rant aimed at YouTube for allegedly blackballing him. Subsequently as the video made the rounds online fans expressed concern for the rapper’s wellbeing.
Youngboy has been using his time under house arrest to release a lot of new music. Last week he announced his 4th new album of 2023. The project is a sequel to his 2018 album Decided which is fittingly called Decided 2. What do you think of NBA Youngboy citing his mental health as a reason for his house arrest to be loosened? Jada Pinkett Smith has had the internet in a frenzy but that hasn’t stopped her sales. Her new memoir Worthy debuted at #3 on the NY Times Best Seller list. Jada’s achievement contradicts earlier reports by DailyMail.com that her book was “a flop”. The NY Times lists the most popular books sold in the United States based on sales in the past week.
The courageous mom-of-two celebrated her book’s success in a video posted on her Instagram page.
She captioned the post:
“Thank you to the [Red Table Talk] family, the Worthy Warriors and to all who wanted to know my story beyond headlines … we made it to #3 on the NYT best sellers list. Congrats to the other 3 women who are holding the other top 4 spots on the list as well.”
In the video, she said:
“I was sitting here thinking that there was a time where women actually had to take on the names of men in order to be published, and here we have four women at the top of the bestsellers list.”
Kanye West’s mental health has been a cause of great concern for several years now, though the rapper has switched up his official diagnosis on more than one occasion. In the past, the Yeezy founder identified as bipolar, but now, he claims that his near-fatal car accident two decades ago left him dealing with symptoms of autism. Regardless of what the truth is, longtime fans of West know that one of the most difficult periods for him mentally was in 2016, when he began suffering from a severe breakdown which the New York Times is giving more insight into today (October 27).
For the most part, the outlet’s article reflects on the “Flashing Lights” hitmaker’s time spent working with Adidas. Elsewhere, it includes details from a deposition with Harley Pasternak, who previously worked as West’s personal trainer. According to him, he visited Ye’s house in late 2016, just days before the multi-talent ranted about Jay-Z sending “killers” after him while praising Donald Trump. Pasternak reportedly uncovered a suspicious West, who had become obsessed with the idea of the government coming after him.
Harley Pasternak Previously Worked with Kanye West on Improving His Fitness
“He was writing Bible verses and drawing spaceships on bedsheets with a Sharpie,” the Chicago native’s former coach shared. “A handful of worried friends and employees lingered nearby,” Pasternak further noted, also mentioning the “suitcases packed with pots, pans, and Tupperware” in the general area. It’s unclear what the bizarre luggage contents were for, but clearly, they helped Ye feel safe in his time of mental discomfort. The NYT additionally mentions the 46-year-old’s lengthy history of antisemitism and sexism in the work place, allegedly dating back as early as 2013.
Harley Pasternak was obviously offended by Kanye West’s anti-Semitic comments last year, and he’s not the only one who the father of four has upset with his love for free speech. Before another year comes to a close, we’ve documented some of Ye’s biggest feuds (specifically in the world of hip-hop), which you can read all about at the link below. Ed Lover says that he’s worried about Cardi B after the rapper posted about suicide on social media, last week. Addressing the incident on his C’Mon Son! podcast, Lover shared his advice for Cardi amid her mental health struggles.
“You mean to tell me you nasty motherf*ckin’ little b*tches and n****s affected Cardi that much, that you make her want to put a bullet in her head?” he said. “That scares me. It scares me. Cardi, take your time, and get your mental right.”
Cardi had been getting into it with fans on social media throughout the week. When one user wrote that she’s “the only Mexican I know that don’t work hard,” Cardi lashed out, writing: “Hope you and ur mom die.” After facing more criticism for that post, she later wrote: “I just want to put a bullet in my head.” Check out Lover’s reaction to the post below.
Cardi eventually deleted the post and addressed her mental health on Instagram Live. “When I burst, I’m very outspoken,” she said. “When I get into one of my bad moments, I will literally curse everybody out, and I’ll be f*ckin’ like, ‘I want you to die. B*tch, I wanna die. I don’t give a f*ck!’ Because that’s just how I’ll be feeling in the moment. I was just very overwhelmed yesterday, I was very sad. And, I don’t know — I feel like I was just having such a good week, and then, when I got home, and I started paying attention to so much shit that people were saying about me, and all the funny sh*t about me … I just started getting upset about it.” Be on the lookout for further updates on Cardi B on HotNewHipHop.

Last year an ongoing custody battle found the mother of Nipsey Hussle’s daughter filing to regain custody of her child and control of her estate. The estate claimed she admitted to issues with substance abuse and alcohol back in 2019. The Probate Investigator recommended that Tanisha not be appointed guardian due to alleged issues with alcohol, being unemployed at the time and having no stable housing. Now Nipsey’s family has finally been awarded control of the estate.
Radar Online reports:
Nipsey Hussle’s mother, brother, and sister scored a massive victory in court against his ex-girlfriend Tanisha Foster — with a judge ruling the family will control the estate for the late rapper’s daughter.
According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com, a hearing was held this week in the never-ending war between Nipsey’s family and Tanisha over 14-year-old Emani.
The judge ruled that Nipsey’s mom Angelique, his brother Sam, and sister Samantha will be co-guardians over Emani’s finances, including her $2 million+ inheritance.
Nipsey was murdered on March 31, 2019. He left behind Emani, and a son named Kross, who he had with his girlfriend Lauren London. The only beneficiaries of the musician’s estate were his two children.
Nipsey’s brother Sam was selected to manage the rapper’s estate which was valued at $4 million. Sam believes the estate will bring in another $4.7 million annually.
Following his death, Nipsey’s mom Angelique Smith, his brother Sam, and sister Samantha were appointed physical custody of Emani. The family claimed Tanisha was not fit to take care of the child.
In August 2021, Nipsey’s family filed a petition to be appointed guardians of Emani’s estate, which would allow them to control her inheritance and make investments with her money.
In their petition, the family argued, “Appointing Petitioners as the Guardians of Emani’s Estate will allow Petitioners to invest Emani’s share of the expected inheritance from her father’s estate.”
“Petitioners will manage Emani’s assets prudently and in Emani’s best interests until she reaches 18 years old,” the filing read.
Tanisha objected to the petition. She demanded the court deny the request and allow her to take over control of Emani’s estate – and regain custody.
In her filing, Tanisha claimed at the time of his death, Nipsey and her were on good terms. She said they shared custody, but Nispey took care of their bills because of his “far superior economic powers.”
Tanisha said Nipsey never tried to take legal custody of Emani from her during his lifetime. She claimed the rapper had been paying for her apartment before his death — but his family cut her off after his murder.
Nipsey’s ex admitted she entered into an agreement to allow the musician’s family to have custody of Emani in 2019. However, she said her “motivation for doing so was” due to her “financial limitations” at the time.
