Please God, Let Cardi B And Megan Thee Stallion Wrestle The WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions

Rap and wrestling have seen increasing crossover in recent years, with artists like Snoop Dogg and Bad Bunny participating in WWE events and rappers like The Rock trying their hands at rocking the mic. With all this mixing between the two entertainment industries, it’s no wonder that wrestlers are now picking musicians for their dream matchups.

In an interview with Billboard, the reigning WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions said they would love to wrestle “WAP” rappers Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion. Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez were asked about their dream match, replying, “I would love to see Cardi and Meg The Stallion. I think Meg would be incredible. They’ve also been so active with us on Twitter and just responded to different things. Those two would be interesting to see in the ring. Us versus Cardi and Meg. Make it happen.”

Morgan even suggested a few types of matches for the two rappers. “I’m not gonna go easy on them, though,” she said. “They look like they could take the titles: an Extreme Rules Match, Last Woman Standing Match. Let’s do all of it.”

Such a match probably isn’t completely out of the question; Cardi has long enthused about her wrestling fandom on Twitter and the two rappers were pretty pumped to try out football training, so it’s clear they aren’t afraid of a little exercise. The matchup would be physically equal as well, as both pairs include a statuesque powerhouse (Rodriguez is six feet tall while Megan is 5’10”) and a pocket-size firecracker (Cardi and Morgan max out at 5’3″).

The rappers’ hectic schedules would likely make such a match improbable, but stranger things have happened and hey, if they’re into it, it could result in as entertaining a match as Bad Bunny’s recent blowout with Damian Priest in Puerto Rico. Put it on the books!

Tory Lanez Could Face 9 Years In Prison

Tory Lanez has spent these last three years fighting for his freedom after being found guilty of shooting Megan Thee Stallion. After the verdict came down on the R&B star, placing him behind bars last year, he’s recently asked the judge for a retrial of the case. Moreover, Lanez and his team have firmly denied these claims and have continued to maintain his innocence. Not only that, the Chixtape artist has been vehemently fighting against the verdict. Monday, May 8th, Tory Lanez appeared in court and pleaded his case to Judge David Herriford. The judge adjourned court that morning and gave his decision the next day.

Upon leaving the courtroom, it was reported that Tory Lanez pleaded to the judge on his way out. “Please don’t ruin my life. I could be your son. I could be your brother,” he said to Judge Herriford. However, according to reports, the plea fell on deaf ears as he exited the courtroom. Later, the next morning (May 9th) Judge Herriford gave his decision to the court. Tory Lanez’s motion for a new trial was swiftly denied. Additionally, his defense team filed a motion to disqualify the judge from the case.

Tory Lanez Facing 9 Years For Shooting Megan Thee Stallion

In other news, it appears Tory Lanez could be facing some major time for shooting the Houston Hottie. According to Deputy Los Angeles County District Attorney Alexander Bott, the rapper is facing up to nine years in prison. On Tuesday afternoon, he made his predictions speaking with reporters outside the courtroom. As can be seen from the video clip above shared by Meghan Cuniff, leading legal affairs journalist who’s been extensively covering the case. The sentencing range on this case is roughly nine years all the way up to 22 years and eight months,” Bott shared.

Furthermore, Bott added that it would be a minimum of nine years. Although a judge could possibly give Lanez less time than that, Bott is confident that won’t be the case. Additionally, when asked if this was the “appropriate” sentence, Bott declined to answer due to decisions like that not being up to him. However when asked, “as a human” Bott was more willing to give an answer. “So I would say that, any time you point a gun at someone and pull the trigger five times, that’s an action that could easily kill a person,” he told reporters. “I think that’s an action that deserves serious consequences.” What are your thoughts on this case? Tory Lanez Begs Judge Not To “Ruin His Life” During New Trial

Tory Lanez

Singer and rapper Tory Lanez appeared in court on May 8 for a new trial hearing after being found guilty of shooting Houston rapper Megan Thee Stallion. Tory Lanez Was Denied A New Trial In His Megan Thee Stallion Shooting Case, So Now He Wants The Judge Disqualified

Tory Lanez’s request for a new trial in the Megan Thee Stallion shooting case was denied by a judge, according to freelance reporter Meghann Cuniff. Judge David Herriford ruled from the bench that Tory’s argument that the original case was full of errors was specious at best, saying that even if such errors existed, they’d have “no material effect on the outcome of the trial.”

Of course, Tory’s lawyers refused to accept that decision, and in what Cuniff calls an unusual (“jaw-dropping”) move, filed a motion to have Herriford disqualified from the case. The purpose of the bid was to forestall his ruling that no new trial was warranted, with Tory’s lawyers arguing that the decision couldn’t be issued until the motion was resolved. Talk about your sour grapes.

In truth, the biggest mistakes made during the trial appeared to be on the part of Tory’s defense. A star witness for the defense apparently confirmed that Tory not only held the gun that shot Megan Thee Stallion in the feet but that he fired it in what looked like a fit of pique — exactly as Megan herself recounted the incident in her own testimony. Tory’s lawyers even pushed back his hearing for a new trial last month so they’d have more time to argue their motion for a new trial and yet… here we are.

Tory was found guilty of all three of the original charges of assault with a firearm, concealing a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence, although he did avoid a witness tampering charge altogether for allegedly offering Megan and her friend $1 million to change their respective stories. Tory will be sentenced at a future date.

Pardi Shares Heartfelt Poem Amid Megan Thee Stallion Break Up Rumors

Have Megan Thee Stallion and Pardi split? The rumors have swirled around the internet over the past few months after she unfollowed him on Instagram. Days later, fans believed that they spent Valentine’s Day together. Although they might not be as public about their relationship these days, Pardi seemingly shut down rumors altogether during his first poetry reading. The rapper hit Instagram with a clip of his performing, captioning the post, “Never done poetry before… thought this was fitting, thank you @dapoetrylounge_co for allowing me to share this.”

“… Most beautiful women in the whole audience. The piece I’m about to do it is about another beautiful woman that I know,” he began to a room full of snap. “You want acknowledgment for your bravery, not sympathy/ You wanna be held tight and kissed gently,” he says during the storm. While fans also recently noticed that Pardi unfollowed Megan recently, the uplifting piece he recited had fans under the impression that they are still together. However, others felt like he might be trying to win her back.

Pardi’s Poem

Pardison Fontaine and Megan Thee Stallion have been together for a little over two years at this point. As the story goes, they initially met while working on the “Savage (Remix)” ft Beyoncé, which Pardi has writing credits on. A few months later, they worked together on Cardi B’s “WAP,” another record with Pardi’s fingerprints all over. Eventually, Megan confirmed that Pardi is her “boo” and they began showing out at events together.

Ultimately, the couple has been subject to break-up rumors for a while now. In early 2022, Pardi took to Instagram to address rumors that he and Megan Thee Stallion split over abuse allegations. “Stop this cap nobody puttin hands on nobody … (At least not in that way),” he wrote. “Been seein the break up rumors and was lettin y’all imaginations run … but y’all gettin too crazy … ain’t give n— a story so they made one … we really been on it double time,” he wrote. Check out his poem above and sound off with your thoughts in the comments.
