Megan Thee Stallion’s fanbase understood when she took most of 2023 to focus on her mental health. Now that we’re well into the new year, however, her listeners – known as Thee Hotties – are all too eager to hear what’s next for her musically. Her latest projects include channelling her inner Regina George alongside Renee Rapp for Mean Girls, and finally addressing her surprising split from Pardison Fontaine on “Cobra.” Following that, her ex threw no shortage of shade on “THEE PERSON,” not only claiming Megan underwent liposuction but also that she’s to blame for the demise of her failed interpersonal relationships.
Instead of reacting to that on social media immediately, the Houston native took the high road. She’s in the gym more frequently than ever before, putting in work so she can continue to amaze us with her twerking skills. Earlier this week, Thee Stallion revealed her next single, another snake-themed title called “Hiss” is dropping on Friday (January 26), and from the sounds of the latest preview, this Hot Girl won’t be holding back.
“I just want to kick this s**t off by saying f**k y’all! I ain’t gotta clear my name on a motherf**kin’ thang,” the curvaceous queen declared. “Every time I get mentioned, one of y’all b**ch a** ni**as get 24 hours of attention. I’m finna get this s**t off my chest and lay it to rest. Let’s go,” Megan continued, catching the attention of Blueface’s mom and countless others.
“Tell them again ,” Karlissa Saffold wrote beneath Megan Thee Stallion’s latest promotional post for “Hiss.” TDE signee Doechii is also excited to hear what the rap diva’s been cooking up lately, not to mention the hundreds of fans who left comments for her to read. “I already know this gon’ be on repeat real bad,” one user speculated. “Miss Snow has entered the chat ,” another chimed in. Keep scrolling to read more reactions, and let us know in the comments who you think Meg will be dissing this New Music Friday (January 26).
Megan Thee Stallion has released a new teaser clip for her forthcoming single, “Hiss,” where she puts the world on notice.
“I just want to kick this shit off by saying fuck y’all,” Thee Stallion says in the club. “I ain’t gotta clear my name on a muthafuckin’ thing. Every time I get mentioned, one of y’all bitch ass niggas get 24 hours of attention. I’m finna get this shit off my chest and lay it to rest. Let’s go!”
Megan Thee Stallion is set to release her latest single, “Hiss,” on Jan. 26 under Hot Girl Productions. This announcement follows her Nov. 2023 release of “Cobra” and its accompanying music video.
Fresh from a guest appearance on Saturday Night Live, Megan showcased her versatility by joining forces with Reneé Rapp to perform “Not My Fault” from the Mean Girls soundtrack. Megan also made a cameo in an acclaimed film, showcasing her expanding presence across various entertainment realms.
As anticipation builds for “Hiss,” fans can expect another chart-topping hit from the Houston native, known for her musical prowess, entrepreneurial ventures, and philanthropic efforts. Stay tuned for the release as Megan Thee Stallion continues to make waves in the music industry.

Since, Hot Girl Meg has collaborated with Reneé Rapp on Mean Girls track “Not My Fault” and released a NSFW song from the Big Mouth soundtrack, but she just reminded everybody that she’s still firmly in “Act One” of her snake emoji-fueled era.
This morning, January 22, Megan Thee Stallion announced “Hiss.” The single is due out this Friday, January 26, and is available to pre-save here. The “Hiss” cover art (or, one of them) finds Meg appearing completely nonplussed about having a shudder-inducing white snake wrapped around her neck and head.
“Cobra” and “Hiss” are presumably leading up to a Megan Thee Stallion album soon — her first since Traumazine in August 2022 — which is on Uproxx’s list of “Most Anticipated Albums Of 2024.” Aaron Williams previewed what can be expected, as excerpted below.
“New Year, new Stallion. The Hot Girl Coach finds herself in a much better place to begin 2024; she’s put both her legal dispute with her label and the Tory Lanez shooting case in her rearview, and she’s newly independent, meaning she’s the one calling all the shots on her next album. She kicked off her new era with the confessional return to form, ‘Cobra,’ and predicted in September that her next album will contain ‘a lot of rawness, a lot of realness, a lot of sh*t talking,’ while a more recent live stream promised she wouldn’t hold back, answering anyone who has called her out over the past couple of years.”

Texas superstar rapper Megan Thee Stallion has been active in various ways over the past few months. The soon-to-be 29-year-old has pitched in on numerous projects outside of her solo music career. While a good deal of her activity is still around that part of her life, she is contributing her talents to the soundtrack space. The first of which was “Not My Fault” in collaboration with actress and artist Reneé Rapp. That song was the lead single for the Mean Girls (Music From The Motion Picture) album.
After that, Megan, Danielle Brooks, and Timbaland brought their style and flare to the highly-discussed film The Color Purple. They all combined their talents for “Hell No!” Finally, on top of her acting chops being provided to the raunchy Netflix comedy Big Mouth, she also wrote a song. That was called “P***y Don’t Lie” and it was released on December 22.
Megan Thee Stallion has also had her hands full with a Nike and Planet Fitness collaboration. Now, she has something else coming down the pipeline. However, no one really knows what it is yet. Understandably, fans are jumping to the conclusion of a new single or album announcement. In a series of drop-dead gorgeous photos rocking all brown. She captions it, “Lol don’t fight me hotties I’ve been working! Monday be ready for me ” Monaleo comments, “meg just send me whatever it is early i wanna hear it ” Kali Uchis adds, “Thee prettiest.” Whatever the grand reveal is we are so ready!

A new Lil Yachty lyric has the rapper in trouble with music fans once again. It comes just a few months after an NSFW reference to Billie Eilish during an appearance on Drake’s new album For All The Dogs got him in similarly hot water. While Billie herself laughed the lyric off many of her fans took it as disrespectful. That’s the case once again following a new lyric that directly references Megan Thee Stallion and her shooting incident with Tory Lanez.
Funny enough, Drake himself was one of the first rappers to get in trouble for referencing Megan on a song. A track from his collaborative album with 21 SavageHer Loss featured a bar implying he didn’t believe Megan’s telling of the events. In a new collaboration with DONTKALLMELUXXY called “SYDNEY” Yachty makes the same mistake of writing about the situation. “Better watch where you step or get treated like Megan Thee Stallion,” the lyric in question reads. The lyric is an attempted double meaning as Megan was notoriously shot in the foot by Tory Lanez. Unsurprisingly, the lyric was met with massive backlash online. Check out the bar in question below.
Lil Yachty’s Troublesome New Megan Thee Stallion Lyric
Fans online conjured plenty of backlash against the lyric. Subsequently, many called it completely unnecessary as it doesn’t serve any important role song at all. Additionally, others were just surprised by what sounded like a legitimate threat to shoot women the same way Meg was shot. Check out some of the fan reactions to the lyric below.
Though the song hasn’t made it to streaming yet it’s racking up tens of thousands of views on YouTube. It’s also gaining quite a bit of traction on Twitter as numerous high-profile accounts have shared clips of the controversial lyric. Tory Lanez was convicted of shooting Megan and sentenced to 10 years in prison last year. What do you think of the backlash for Lil Yachty’s lyric about Megan Thee Stallion? Do you think rappers should stop referencing the incident? Let us know in the comment section below.
Lil Yachty’s association with Michigan’s underground rap scene has been a gift to his rap reputation, but lately, it seems like it’s starting to become a curse. The penchant of rappers like BabyTron and Sada Baby to spit completely unhinged, utterly reckless punchlines has beld into Yachty’s own approach to rap, but thanks to his higher profile, it’s gotten him into hot water.
In a new song called “Sydney,” Yachty teams up with a burgeoning Brooklyn rapper named DONTKALLMELUXXY to flex raps over a sped-up version of Beanie Sigel’s 2005 single “Feel It In The Air.” The newer rapper courts controversy with his verse, threatening, “Better watch where you step or get treated like Megan Thee Stallion,” a clear reference to the July 2020 shooting of the Houston rapper by Toronto rapper Tory Lanez, who opened fire at Meg’s feet after an argument, leaving bullet fragments in her heels and leading to three long years of legal entanglements and harrassment for the “Savage” rapper.
Lil Yachty Samples “Feel It In The Air” by Beanie Sigel:
“Better watch where you step Get treated like Megan Thee Stallion”
Megan Thee Stallion gon always keep it real and that’s why we respect her these cornballs need to keep her name out they trash songs!! pic.twitter.com/esn02gYXLS

Megan’s fans similarly came to her defense when Drake similarly referenced the shooting for a groaner of a punchline on his own For All The Dogs cut, “Circo Loco.” The line drew the ire of Megan herself, who at first defended the star, then snapped upon realizing just what the line said. “Stop using my shooting for clout b*tch ass N****s!” she wrote. “Since when tf is it cool to joke abt women getting shot ! You n****s especially RAP N****S ARE LAME! Ready to boycott bout shoes and clothes but dog pile on a black woman when she say one of y’all homeboys abused her.”
In any case, considering DONTKALLMELUXXY only has 539 subcribers on YouTube and less than 4,000 on Spotify, we can probably just assume that all this was just a bid for attention. Therefore, the best response is to probably ignore him and let him remain obscure. As for Yachty, let’s hope he’s a bit more judicious with his cosign in the future, because this wasn’t worth it.
The thing is, anime loves her back. In addition to getting shout-outs from the people who make, translate, and perform in anime over the years, she’s recently been granted the honor of presenting at this year’s Crunchyroll Anime Awards. (As a second-gen weeb, I am astronished that I did not know such a thing has existed for the past seven years, and kind of proud that it does.)
Meg was announced as a presenter along with Japanese pop star LiSA (not to be confused with the K-pop star of the same name), Ms. Marvel herself, Iman Vellani, drag entertainer Aquaria, and popular TikTok star Lena Lemon, among others. The show will be held on March 2 at the Grand Prince Hotel Shin Takanawa in Tokyo. In the press release, Megan gushed, “Watching anime is one of my favorite things to do! I love cosplaying all of my favorite characters, I love the storytelling, and I love getting inspiration from the different anime art styles! I’m really excited for the opportunity to attend and present an award at this year’s Crunchyroll Anime Awards. I’m looking forward to traveling to Tokyo and joining my fellow anime lovers as we celebrate and honor the best anime creators and shows in the world.”

Late last month Megan Thee Stallion introduced a new character as part of a brand collab. She transformed into Mother Fitness, who protects gym attendees from some of the most toxic parts of gym culture. It’s in collaboration with Planet Fitness, which has a history of celebrity collaborations. And earlier this week the father of a previous spokeswoman had something to say about Megan’s new character.
“I’m sorry, but you’re going to compare this… to this… in the “fitness” industry. Lol.. really?” a recent tweet made by Lindsay Lohan’s father Michael reads. The tweet is accompanied by pictures of Lindsay from her Planet Fitness commercials alongside Megan in the newest ones. Lohan famously worked with the brand as an ambassador and spokeswoman. Her most notable appearance came during a Super Bowl commercial that took aim at her controversial past in hilarious fashion. While she personally hasn’t said anything about Megan’s new campaign, her father took it upon himself to share his thoughts. As you’d expect though, fans online quickly came to Megan’s defense in bulk. Check out the original tweet and some reactions to it below.
The tweet ended up being incredibly unpopular. Lohan’s father equating somebody being skinny to being healthy didn’t sit right with fans online. “Being skinny doesn’t mean you’re fit,” one of the highest upvoted comments on a repost of the tweet reads. Other commentors came through with jokes. “One was on drugs & one was on cornbread so of course,” one comment reads. “Comparing Kraft Mac & Cheese to baked Mac & Cheese is wild” another agrees.
Both Megan and Lindsay popped up at the premiere for the recent Mean Girls musical remake. Lindsay played the starring role in the original film while Megan is included on the soundtrack. Her song “Not My Fault” sees her teaming up with one of the stars of the film Renee Rapp. What do you think of Lindsay Lohan’s father taking shots at Megan Thee Stallion’s fitness? Let us know in the comment section below.
