As Nicki Minaj continues to tweet away and promote her Megan Thee Stallion diss “Big Foot,” extra protection is brought into Hot Girl Meg’s mother’s gravesite.

According to TMZ, a cemetery in Texas is working with local authorities to increase security around the resting place of Holly Thomas. Thomas died of brain cancer in 2019.

Currently, nothing has happened to the gravesite, but the leaking of the location by the Barbz is being taken as a credible threat.

Nicki referred to Megan’s moom in “Big Foot” but noted it was due to referencing her family in the “Hiss” record.

Nicki Minaj Fans Have Reportedly Been Threatening The Cemetery Where Megan Thee Stallion’s Mother Is Interred

The ongoing feud between Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon. Though Meg herself hasn’t directly commented on the matter, nor called Minaj out by name, Minaj and her fans believed certain parts of Meg’s latest single, “Hiss” were aimed at her. Over the weekend, Minaj responded to “Hiss” with a Megan-aimed diss track called “Big Foot.” All the while, the Barbz have reportedly been trolling Twitter users decrying Minaj, and have been said to be doxxing fans and collaborators of Meg.

As a result, the Houston police department and local authorities have reportedly gotten involved in the matter. Over the weekend, the address of the gravesite of Megan’s mother, Holly Thomas — who died of brain cancer in 2019 — was shared online. TMZ reported that Houston authorities have amped up security after Barbz had reportedly threatened to deface the gravesite.

The publication notes that security “will continue to monitor the situation as they take all matters regarding safety and security seriously.”

At the time of writing, no incidents have been reported at the gravesite, however, the cemetery reportedly remains on “high alert.”

Moniece Slaughter Goes On Screaming Instagram Live Rant Over Response To Megan Thee Stallion Lyric Criticism

Megan Thee Stallion’s new diss track “HISS” is getting almost everybody’s attention. Much of that attention has been praised from both fans and critics highlighting the song for her hard-hitting demeanor and how intensely it takes down nearly all of Meg’s critics. But one particular line has divided people, a reference to “Megan’s Law.” The lyric is a reference to a California Law that made it a requirement for police to make information on registered sex offenders available publicly.

Many fans praised the lyric right out of the gate as being a particularly sharp Nicki Minaj diss. Numerous videos of fans first reaction to the lyric went viral online in the wake of the track’s release. But a smaller subset of people online took issue with that use of Megan’s Law in the song. One of which was former Love & Hip Hop star Moniece Slaughter. She took to Twitter to express her issue with the line. Later, the family of the girl whose namesake is borrowed for the law made it known that they were potentially looking to sue. Slaughter attempted to take a victory lap, though also ended up exploding on some fans disputing her legal wisdom. Then earlier today she returned to Instagram to discuss the line even more.

Moniece Slaughter Talking About Megan’s Law Lyric Again

She screams at almost anybody with a different perspective in a profanity laced ramble. Unsurprisingly, fans in the comments of a collection of clips from the Live continued their criticisms of Slaughter.

“Nicki whispering to a wall and she’s yelling at her phone. What a pair.” one fo the top comments reads. Elsewhere fans call her out for the hypocrisy of not pointing out similar lyrical references in Nicki’s response track. What do you think of Moniece Slaughter’s complaints about the Megan’s Law lyric? What about her blowing up at fans both on Twitter and on her Instagram Live? Let us know in the comments below.

“HISS” Reactions: Kris Jenner Laughs At Megan Thee Stallion’s Name Drop On Latest Single

After a mostly quiet 2023, Megan Thee Stallion set off a bomb in the world of female rap within the first few weeks of 2024. Though she didn’t mention Nicki Minaj by name on her bold new “HISS” diss track, the Houston Hottie did mention Megan’s Law, previously enforced to protect victims of sexual assault from their predators. Knowing the allegations following the Trinidadian’s husband, Kenneth Petty, for years now, hip-hop heads immediately saw this line as taking shots at the couple, and Minaj has hardly stopped talking about it since.

Of course, the “Barbie Dreams” artist isn’t the only person Thee Stallion seemingly threw shade at on “HISS,” but she’s certainly the most upset. Elsewhere, others who came up in the black-haired beauty’s bars are happy to have their name mentioned in her music. Earlier this week, Kris Jenner posted the song on her Instagram Story, playing the part where Megan hints at a management contract coming to fruition in the future.

“I feel like Mariah Carey, got these n*ggas so obsessed / My pu**y so famous, might get managed by Kris Jenner next,” Tina Snow rhymes early on in the track. “@theestallion 🤣🤣❤,” she wrote over the snippet, letting the world know that she gets Meg’s sense of humour. The reality starlet has long been supportive of female artists, previously channelling Amy Poehler’s Mean Girls character for Ariana Grande’s “thank u, next” visual in 2018.

Thankfully for Megan Thee Stallion, she’s got plenty of supporters standing behind her amid all the backlash from “HISS.” Those working against her at this time chiefly include Nicki Minaj and The Barbz, though her ex-best friend Kelsey Nicole has also been on social media teasing her take on the Queen of Rap’s “Big Foot” diss track. Read more about that at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

When Did Nicki Minaj First Call Megan Thee Stallion ‘Big Foot?’

This past week has been a chaotic one in the rap and pop culture world. For those who might have missed it, Megan Thee Stallion dropped her new single, “Hiss,” where she called out a bunch of other rappers. One line in particular, which had a reference to “Megan’s Law,” sparked a feud with Nicki Minaj.

Over the weekend, Minaj posted about Megan, calling her out repeatedly for the lyric. She also fired back with her own track, titled “Big Foot,” as she had been calling Megan that — due to both her tall height and the Tory Lanez shooting incident.

When Did Nicki Minaj First Call Megan Thee Stallion “Big Foot?”

Although Nicki Minaj calling Megan Thee Stallion “big foot” gained traction this weekend and through her song, one Twitter user pointed out that she had been calling her that for quite a while. The user directed to a tweet that Uproxx cover star Latto made back in 2022, where she had shared DM’s between herself and Minaj during an argument.

In one of Minaj’s replies, she wrote, “I could say the same thing. But would you or big foot care? No,” seemingly referencing Megan in the comment.

Why Is Megan Thee Stallion Being Sued?

According to TMZ, Megan Thee Stallion has been threatened with legal action by Richard Kanka, the father of Megan Kanka, who in 1994 was abducted, raped, and murdered by her neighbor Jesse Timmendequas, who had previously been convicted of child molestation. The national attention prompted by the murder led to the creation of Megan’s Law, an expansion of the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994, which requires communities to be notified when a person convicted of sexual crimes moves into a neighborhood.

Kanka’s threat was prompted by a line referencing Megan’s Law from Megan Thee Stallion’s new single “Hiss.” In it, the rapper denigrates a rival — thought by fans to be Nicki Minaj — with the taunt, “These hoes don’t be mad at Megan, these hoes mad at Megan’s Law.” Fans have speculated that the jab was aimed at Minaj, with whom Thee Stallion appears to have fallen out, as Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, was sentenced to a year of house arrest in 2022 for failing to register as a sex offender when the couple first moved to California. The couple is also embroiled in a lawsuit with Jennifer Hough, as Hough claims that they have been harassing her to recant her 1995 testimony so as to have Petty’s original conviction overturned and his name removed from the federal sex offenders’ registry.

While Kafka has not actually filed a lawsuit — and would have pretty dubious legal grounds for doing so in the first place — it’s clear he disapproves of the lyrical reference to the law named after his daughter. While he hadn’t heard the song as of TMZ’s writing, he was disappointed that the lyrics were explicit and that the law was mentioned specifically to take down a rival, instead of shedding light on the tragedy.

megan thee Stallion 9

Megan Thee Stallion isn’t worried about beef; she’s ready to hit the streets. Appearing on Good Morning America, Thee Stallion announced a new album this summer and the supporting Hot Girl Summer tour.

“Oh, we’re having the tour this year. ‘The Hot Girl Summer tour’ is going to be 2024, summertime,” Thee Stallion said. “I feel like I’ve never been able to be outside doing my own thing during the summer, since like 2019. So this is going to be the first time that I drop an album on time for the summer. I do want to give the hotties the Megan Thee Stallion experience.”

Is Megan Thee Stallion’s New Album Coming Out In 2024?

The gears have clearly been turning for Megan Thee Stallion, who in the past few months has released the singles “Cobra” and “Hiss.” But, what does this mean about a new album?

Is Megan Thee Stallion’s New Album Coming Out In 2024?

That does appear to be the plan.

On Good Morning America today (January 30), Megan announced that she’s going on tour this summer, while also indicating that her next album will be released by the time she hits the road. She said, “Oh, we’re having the tour this year. The Hot Girl Summer tour is going to be 2024, summertime. I feel like I’ve never been able to be outside doing my own thing during the summer, since like 2019. So this is going to be the first time that I drop an album on time for the summer. I do want to give the hotties the Megan Thee Stallion experience.”

There’s no official word yet on what the album is called or when exactly its release date is. Still, it looks like we can expect the project to be unveiled at some point in the next few months or so.

Drake Chills Out On IG Amid Nicki Minaj & Megan Thee Stallion Shots

Even though Drake got a shot sent his way on the new song “HISS,” courtesy of Megan Thee Stallion, he seems pretty unbothered online. “If it wasn’t for you I would never know how much I can handle…I can’t stand you but also thank you,” he captioned two pictures of him walking around and drinking with a baggy gray suit. Perhaps the 6ix God subtly responded to Meg here, although his subliminals are usually much more apparent. Regardless, his silence on the matter has been very interesting to see, especially considering that her main target right now is his fellow Young Money superstar, Nicki Minaj.

Of course, after Nicki dropped “Big Foot” earlier this week as her response track, this became a one-on-one showdown… for now. As such, there’s really no reason for Drake to come in with reinforcements just yet, and we can’t say for sure whether he’ll ever need to. After all, sometimes rap beef only hits upon a couple of points brought up in these attacks to one another, and it’s rare for an artist to want to address everything. But he had a very busy 2023 with hiatus plans and a desire to just have some fun, so we can’t really express shock if he decides to jump ship.

Drake’s New Instagram Post Amid Nicki & Meg Drama

All this aside, Drake has animosity of his own to handle. Yasiin Bey recently clarified his thoughts on him making pop music, not hip-hop. “Drake, if you’d like to speak to me directly, you can at any point,” he expressed in a social media video. “I reached out to [Dave] Chappelle, actually reached out to you. I DM’d you. You are a very talented MC, but for me, I require more of myself and others than just talent or charm or charisma -– particularly in times of urgent crisis.

“And what I would like to see in terms of creators or creative people in the world, as it relates to our culture, is for people to connect with us beyond the jukebox or the dance floor,” the artist formerly known as Mos Def concluded. “A fair-weather friend can hardly be called a friend at all. The people who party with you -– that’s cool. But will they show up for you when you’re at the triage?” For more news and the latest updates on Drake, check back in with HNHH.
