An unreleased freestyle is sending social media into a frenzy. Megan Thee Stallion and her bars have done it again. The 27-year-old Houston native seems to be tapping into her bag of raw lyrics after debuting an unreleased freestyle during her Coachella set. The fiery single samples Jodeci and WuTang’s “Freak’n You” remix.

Just before the Hot girl coach took the stage, she tweeted, “I got this song that I recorded and every time I play it for a woman they start jumping and clapping 😂  I think I wanna perform it at Coachella for the first time before I actually drop it.”

Well, I think it’s safe to say the gworls approve and want Meg Thee Stallion to release the single following a wave of reactions on social media. Amidst all of the hype surrounding the song, most are comparing Megan’s flow in the unreleased single to HipHop legend Lil Kim.

“Man. F*ck n*ggas. Still can’t believe I used to f*ck with you. Popping plan B’s cause I aint plan to be stuck with you. Damn. I see you still kick it with them opp b*tches, Im the only reason that your goofy ass got b*tches.” Megan raps in the single.

Lil Kim has yet to speak on the comparison, but what are your thoughts on this freestyle? Could this be the next single on every woman’s playlist? Check it out below.

Supreme To Release A Line Of Tees Inspired By Lil Kim’s ‘Hard Core’

Lil Kim 2

The New York City Streetwear brand Supreme has released a brand new collection of T-Shirts for the spring 2022 season that pays tribute to Lil Kim’s 1996 debut album, “Hard Core”.  The T-shirts will be comprised of artwork, photos, and text prints of the album’s famous visual of the legendary rapper’s notoriously squat pose one of the most iconic posters in hip-hop.

The Back of the shirt features the lyrics from Lil Kim’s verse on Mobb Deeps’ “Quiet Storm,” Where she quoted MC Lytes “Hot damn, ho here we go again .”   Lil Kim went to her Instagram page to make the announcement saying “I’m so happy to announce my collaboration with Supreme New York Including some of my classic and iconic masterpieces. The other T-shirts in the line include the “Still Talking $#@*” Platinum Recordings tee, a blood splatter logo, the Top Shotta graphic, and the flipped Gaspard Mermillod quote shirt that now reads, “Supreme is a person who can take the place of all others. But whose place no one else can take.” Artwork from British illustrator Ralph Steadman — known for his collaborations with Hunter S. Thompson — can be found in the form of a skull graphic.

Supreme was founded in 1994 by businessman and fashion designer James Jebia on Lafayette Street in Manhattan. The brand, dedicated initially to skateboarders and skate culture, was later adopted by Hip-Hop artists like the Wu-Tang Clan, Dipset, Nas, Tyler, the Creator, and more.

Supreme’s Spring 2022 Tees will be globally released on the brand’s official website today, Thursday, April 14 at 11 am.

Nicki Minaj Says Lil Kim Deserves Recognition For Her Influence, Despite Their Past Friction

Earlier this week, Nicki Minaj sat down for a nearly two-hour-long interview with Joe Budden on Instagram Live. During the interview, she talked about her fourth album, Queen, which she admitted wasn’t “presented correctly,” a label and management company she’s working on founding, and her overall influence on hip-hop.

When Minaj first stepped onto the scene, she donned a pink wig, which made up her signature look, and is now part of many female rappers’ repertoires.

“I would never see any female rapper wearing pink hair, pink hair became a part of that starter kit,” Minaj said in the interview. “Every female rapper will put on a pink wig at some point.”

Still, despite the influence of Minaj’s aesthetic, the “Do We Have A Problem?” rapper admitted she’s frustrated at the fact that she’s never been on the cover of Vogue. She also noted that the influence of white artists is regarded differently than that of Black artists.

“When Billie Eilish comes out and sets a trend with her green hair, she’s immediately put on American Vogue,” Minaj said, before later recalling pleasant encounters with Vogue editor Anna Wintour.

Minaj later said, “The same way I feel like I should have been on the cover of American Vogue, so should have Lil Kim, if we being all the way a thousand.” She continued, saying, “When myself or Lil Kim goes on the internet, every day we see our influence. I’m not gonna say it’s about me only and not give that woman her just due about what she did.”

Early Minaj songs, including “Roman’s Revenge” and “Stupid Hoe” are thought to be about Kim. While Minaj has never confirmed the subject of these songs, Kim has slammed Minaj several times, including in a Hot 97 interview with Ebro and Peter Rosenberg, where she called Minaj “a snake,” but said she’d be willing to collaborate with her.

Check out the full interview above.
