Ice Spice Says She & Drake Are “Cool”

In a recent interview with The New York Times, Ice Spice said that she and Drake are “cool.” Moreover, an interest in said relationship comes from the two rappers’ curious history together. Last time they crossed over was when Drake seemingly dissed the Bronx MC on his Her Loss cut, “BackOutsideBoyz.”

Furthermore, NYT asked the “Munch” artist about Drake in their conversation together.

“We’re cool,” she expressed. “We spoke after that a couple times and we’re good. There’s no beef.”

Moreover, lines like “She a ten trying to rap, it’s good on mute” on “BackOutsideBoyz” pointed fans toward a potential Ice Spice diss. The track appeared on the 6 God’s collaborative album with 21 Savage, Her Loss. Meanwhile, Spice went viral last year with some huge hits, and the two were spotted together.

However, things got a bit murky from there. After Drake unfollowed Ice Spice on Instagram, many wondered what could’ve gone down between them. Still, she had a cheeky Twitter response to his presumed diss that fans took a liking to.

“At least ima 10,” she wrote with shrugging and laughing emojis.

What’s more is that Spice has bigger fish to fry these days. Moreover, she just dropped her debut project, the Like…? EP, to much buzz and acclaim. Also, it features her biggest hits like “Bikini Bottom” and her hotly anticipated cut with Lil Tjay, “Gangsta Boo.” Regardless of any viral moments or speculative industry hearsay, she’s definitely setting up big things for herself in 2023.

Meanwhile, the “Nice For What” star built up some hype of his own this week. For example, rumors swirled recently around him and 21 Savage going on a summer tour this year. While they’ve made no official announcements, some alleged ticketing service leaks suggest they’re hitting the road. Even as Drake throws rumored subs at Ice Spice and other rappers, his star power just doesn’t fizzle out.

Still, what do you think about Ice Spice and Drake being “cool” now? Whatever the case, let us know in the comments down below. Also, as always, check back in with HNHH for more reconciled issues and movements in the game.

Ice Spice & Lil Tjay Team Up On “Gangsta Boo” Single

Since she exploded onto the scene last summer, Ice Spice has delivered plenty of hit singles. “Munch (Feelin’ U)” initially got her on the world’s radar. That song was quickly followed by tracks like “Bikini Bottom” and “In Ha Mood.”

Now that the 23-year-old is well-established within the rap game, it was about time for her debut EP to arrive. On Friday (January 20), the New Yorker shared her Like..? project, complete with three previously released titles as well as three brand new ones.

The sole feature on the short but sweet effort comes from Lil Tjay on “Gangsta Boo,” which surfaced online earlier this month. Initially, Spice and her collaborator were due to film their accompanying music video ahead of the song’s arrival.

However, the “Calling My Phone” hitmaker ran into police at a traffic stop before making it to set. Upon searching the vehicle, authorities found several firearms inside, leading the young lyricist to be taken into custody.

Rather than waste the day, Spice turned the shooting day into one for her “In Ha Mood” single. Video footage captured a few days ago shows that the redhead’s hometown was going hard for her in front of the cameras as she rapped along.

It remains unclear when we’ll receive the official music video for “Gangsta Boo,” but Ice spoke with Ebro Darden to explain her link-up with Lil Tjay.

“I made the song, and then I was just thinking who I would hear on it really. But I wanted it to be a real genuine collab,” she recalled. “We’ve been friends since last year, so I was just like, ‘Yeah, who better than him?’”

Ice Spice Is Searching For A ‘Gangsta Boo’ With Her New Lil Tjay Collaboration

Ice Spice has released her much-anticipated debut EP, Like…?. Though the EP came only after a few hours’ notice, Spice already has the internet going crazy. On the EP is her Lil Tjay collaboration, “Gangsta Boo,” the video for which was reportedly scheduled for earlier this week, however, was put on hold due to Tjay’s arrest.

On the song, “Gangsta Boo,” Spice is searching for a special kind of love. Over a drilled-up sample of Diddy’s 2002 hit single, “I Need A Girl, Part 2,” Spice says that she’s looking for a “gangsta boo,” rapping, “I’m tryna see how a gangsta move / He never worried bout no exes / All on my body, I’m the bestest / Diamonds keep dancing on my necklace.”

Tjay hops in with a verse, letting Spice know that he fits her criteria.

“I’m a gangsta, I keep it legit / I could hold you, I told her some secrets / So she know I be on that sh*t / Told her ‘not so much know what you know,’ he raps.

Adding a modern touch to an early aughts classic, the two New York rappers play well off of their chemistry with each other.

Ice Spice Lives Up To Her Name With Some Particularly Spicy NSFW Art For Her Debut EP, ‘Like…?’

After an eventful 2022, which saw Ice Spice go viral with several hits, the New York rapper is gearing up for the release of her debut EP. Today (January 19), she took to Instagram and Twitter to reveal the title of the EP, Like…?.

The EP’s artwork left little to the imagination. In the cover art, she is seen bent over, and on the back of the cover art, the tracklist is written on her backside.

Earlier this week, Spice was spotted in New York City shooting music videos for some of the EP’s songs. She was reportedly set to film the video for a song called “Gangsta Boo,” however, her collaborator, Lil Tjay, was reportedly arrested ahead of the shoot. Fans then shared images of her and her crew dancing to “In Ha Mood,” presumably using the time to shoot the video for that single instead.

It appears Spice is dropping the EP at midnight tonight, as she has been retweeting tweets with the hashtag #LIKEATMIDNIGHT.

Lil Tjay also took to Twitter, saying, “Me nd @icespicee_ dropping some pain tonight!”

In the meantime, you can check out the cover art and tracklist for Like…? below.

Logic Shoots Off Into Space With Blu & Exile And Like On ‘Orville’

Logic is far removed from his retirement. Following the release of his sixth album No Pressure, Logic claimed that he was calling it quits from the rap world, but that proved to be short-lived as he began releasing new records some months later. His slow return has eventually brought us to the upcoming release of his seventh album Vinyl Days. He announced the album at the top of the year, and since then, he’s released a few singles in support of it like “Therapy Music” with Russ. Now, he’s back with another track, “Orville,” featuring Blu & Exile and Like.

The track is named after the science fiction series The Orville, and throughout the song, the rappers make multiple references to the series. It includes this line from Logic to kick off his verse: “I’m Captain Mercer on the beat, watch me murder the Krill / That’s a sci-fi reference, nerd sh*t my preference.”

When Vinyl Days arrives next month, as it holds a release date on June 17, it will extend his streak of consecutive years with a project to 12. Since 2010, Logic has released 15 projects in total with his last one being 2021’s Bobby Tarantino III.

You can listen to “Orville” in the video above.

Vinyl Days is out 6/17 via Def Jam. You can pre-save it here.
