Kim Kardashian Faces Greenpeace Backlash Over Latest SKIMS Promo

Kim Kardashian is facing backlash from Greenpeace UK after referencing climate change in the latest promotional video for her SKIMS brand. While promoting the brand’s nipple bra, she joked that the item will be more helpful as the planet’s climate warms.

“Using melting glaciers and rising sea levels as a punchline to improve your profit margins makes a mockery of an issue that is devastating millions of people’s lives,” Greenpeace wrote in response on Instagram. “We desperately need global icons like Kim to champion the fight against climate change. Sadly, this isn’t what’s happening here. Kim’s new advert perpetuates the harmful profit-driven system accelerating the climate crisis, and diverts attention away from more impactful actions, like the UN Global Plastics Treaty, which offer a real chance for systemic change.”

As for the SKIMS video, Kim said: “The Earth’s temperature is getting hotter and hotter. The sea levels are rising. The ice sheets are shrinking. I’m not a scientist, but I do believe everyone can use their skill set to do their part. That’s why I’m introducing a brand new bra with a built in nipple, so no matter how hot it is, you’ll always look cold.”

It’s not the first time Kardashian has faced backlash regarding the environment. Activists previously complained about the frequency by which she travels via private jet. North West Recreates Classic Kim Kardashian Look In Adorable New TikTok

North West is already becoming pretty well known online for her sense of humor. She’s also a pretty big fan of playing dress-up as she showed off with her variety of Halloween costumes. She celebrated the holiday with a Clueless look alongside her mother and followed it up by joining some friends for a Cheetah Girls inspired group costume. Many of her best and funniest moments have come from the joint TikTok account she shares with Kim Kardashian, and that was the case again earlier this week.

This time, North and a friend recreated a classic pair of looks that Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton sported in the 2000’s. North transforms into her mother with a gray tracksuit and hoodie complete with some dark black sunglasses. The post has Kim’s song “Jam (Turn It Up)” attached and while comments are disabled that hasn’t stopped fans from sharing the video all across other platforms. Even after Halloween, North was still making waves for her outfits. She shared a photoshoot dressed up as Tiana from The Princess And The Frog that had fans in absolute awe of the young social media star. “Not that she wasn’t confident before,” Khloe told the outlet, “but it’s a different assurance that she has in herself. She knows she can do it on her own. She knows the power that she has within herself, as opposed to thinking the power was in someone else’s hands.” One of Kim’s lifelong friends, Allison Statter, added: “I know how scared she was to do it. ’Cause deep down inside she wanted her family to stay together. And because she was like, ‘I don’t know what life is going to be like on the other side of this.’ I was just so proud of her.”

Khloe also discussed Kim’s plans to become a lawyer, revealing that she already turns to her for legal advice. “I ask her anything and everything, so she sort of is my lawyer,” he said. “I just don’t pay her.” Kim has been studying law for years and expects to take the bar exam late next year or early 2025.

Kim spoke with GQ about several topics including her relationship with religion, the death of her father, and more. At one point, while speaking about parenthood, she explained that she strives to give her children as “normal” of a life as possible. “I try to have my kids be as normal as possible and live in a neighborhood where they can ride bikes to their cousins’ houses,” she said. “I understand that it is not a normal life. Kim Kardashian says North West scams her friends with a lemonade stand. Speaking about her daughter during a new interview with GQ, Kardashian explained that she charged one of her friends $20 for a drink.

“She gets a huge pitcher and fills it, puts it in her wagon, and goes down to the corner,” she said. Kardashain explained: “She has a table and chairs and fans to keep herself cool. She makes signs. She stays there hours and hours. Her friends help, so she splits the money with them. If a random person stops, she will charge them only $2. If she knows you, she will fully scam you. I’ll get calls from my friends saying she charged them $20 for a lemonade. She’ll grab their $20 and say, ‘I don’t have any change.’ ”

Kim reveals she was nine when her parent’s divorce happened, citing a family meeting led to the divorce conversation. Now, she uses those experiences for herself.

“I did think about how my parents handled it with us,” Kardashian said. “I just remember them being open…Ultimately, what matters is that kids feel loved and heard. You want to be sensitive because they’re just kids, and it’s hard to go through no matter what age. You have to make sure that you only go to a level that they can understand. It’s okay to show a vulnerable side. You never go to a negative side.”

Kardashian also revealed she is “more religious than most people guess” and prays to her children before bed. The practice replicates what Robert Kardashian did to Kim and her siblings. “That’s how I manage life. I look at everything as lessons. Things happen exactly the way that they are supposed to and take you exactly where you need to be. Even if it doesn’t make sense at the time, it’s leading you to a path.”

Kim Kardashian had fans doing a double-take in recently released adverts for SKIMS’ holiday line. The retro-inspired campaign sees Kardashian with noticeably bronzed skin and considerably lighter hair. She appears on the faux-magazine covers in a number of 60s-inspired outfits, including a daring furry halter top and g-string combination. The entire shoot screams vintage Playboy, but fans, who mostly approved of the look, were also taken aback at just how major the transformation to Kardashian was.

Meanwhile, staying with the fashion theme, Kardashian also gave her fans an exclusive look at the fitting of her Balenciaga gown for a recent shoot. The gown, which Kardashian wore to the LACMA Art + Festival last week, is a tight-fit hot pink wraparound number with extensive train. On Instagram, Kardashian shared a number of images from her Paris fitting. Namely, these images show Kardashian floating through ornate Parisian drawing rooms with the dress artfully falling off her.

Across the episode, Kim reiterated her desire to remain single for at least two years, noting that she was about halfway through that goal after breaking up with Pete Davidson. “I’ve got a year to go. Patrick Mahomes Becomes Newest Model For SKIMS

Patrick Mahomes, along with his wife and two children, has become the latest athlete to post for SKIMS, Kim Kardashian’s shapewear brand. The whole Mahomes family dressed up in classic plaid flannel to promote the brand’s impending holiday shop. Last year, Snoop and his family promoted the brand for the holiday season. However, Kardashian stuck with the athletics theme given the recent launch of a SKIMS menswear line. Previously, Niners defensive star Nick Bosa was one of the initial models for SKIMS’ menswear line.

Mahomes expressed his excitement at the campaign. “This is our first campaign as a family, and shooting for SKIMS all together was an awesome moment,” he told TMZ of their involvement. Mahomes is currently on a bye week after leading the Chiefs to victory over the Dolphins in Germany last weekend. The team is next in action against the Eagles in a Monday Night Football clash on November 20.

Adam Silver Promotes SKIMS

However, Mahomes isn’t the only person repping the brand as of late. Adam Silver proudly promoted SKIMS after the brand recently struck a deal with the NBA and WNBA. “Although I’m not going to show you, I’m wearing them right now. I strongly recommend them to everyone,” Silver told TMZ during a street interview earlier this week. “When guys are more comfortable, makes them play better. So yes, gonna have a direct impact on the game,” Silver added.

SKIMS recently landed a multiyear deal with both the NBA and WNBA in the wake of the launch of its men’s brand, which featured Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander as one of the launch models. The shapewear brand will be promoted at “marquee league events” and national television broadcasts will carry “virtual on-court signage” for the brand as well. “Skims has quickly become one of our most culturally influential brands. We look forward to bringing NBA fans and Skims users unique experiences, new offerings and premium products through our partnership,” Silver said in a press statement.

North West Roasts Kim Kardashian While Eating An Onion Like An Apple

Despite Kanye West’s desire to keep his eldest daughter, North West, off of TikTok, the tween and her mom continue to create content that keeps the world laughing. Whether they’re trying out a delicious new recipe, or dancing along to an Ice Spice single, the duo is clearly all about positive creative expression. While she certainly has some of her mom’s energy within her, North undeniably resembles her rapper father, and she even has aspirations of following in his footsteps one day. Both Ye and his firstborn are Geminis, explaining their bold personalities that can – at times – come across as harsh.

Thankfully, Kardashian has had 10 years to get used to her daughter’s behaviour, which never fails to keep her laughing. During the latest episode of her family’s reality show, North casually threw shade at her billionaire mother, all while eating a raw onion as though it were an apple. “What do you think about the work your mom does?” one crew member asked the young girl while filming earlier this year. “What does she do?” West innocently asked.

North West is Just Like Her Dad

It’s likely the content creator didn’t intend to hurt her mother’s feelings with her question. However, North did note during the interview for her first-ever magazine cover shoot that she hopes to own both Yeezy and SKIMS one day, proving she’s at least somewhat aware of what Kardashian spends her time doing outside of being a mother of four and a socialite. Later on in the episode, Kim proves there’s no bad blood between them by attempting to give her daughter kisses. Unfortunately, she was repelled by the little one’s “onion breath” that nearly caused her to cry.

North West has been teaching her mom lessons in patience for over a decade now, and it seems her little brother, Saint, isn’t far behind her. As of late, the young boy’s favourite activity has been flashing his middle finger at the paparazzi cameras who follow his family everywhere.
