“I don’t feel like politics should be everything in your relationships, and your relationships with people shouldn’t only be determined by who they voted for,” Legend said. “But I do believe that certain things you believe in are indicators of your character, and obviously, that will affect your friendships.”

He added, “I don’t want to live a life that’s so consumed by politics that it’s the sole determinant of who can be my friend and who can’t. But values matter and character matters and moral compass matters.”

Is Kanye Leaving Adidas?

kanye west adidas

Kanye has been with Adidas since 2013. Since his partnership, Yeezy has become one of the biggest sneaker brands in the world. However, as of late, Kanye has not been happy with Adidas for stealing his ideas and not appointing him to the board despite generating over a billion dollars in revenue for the company. Kanye’s recent IG posts have many wondering if he will leave Adidas and bring his Yeezy ideas to another sneaker company.

Over the last week, Kanye has been more active on IG, airing out his grievances with Adidas executives, most notably Daniel Cherry III, the newly appointed Senior Vice President at Adidas. He also took the time to post headshots of all Adidas executives on his IG. Not only were the executives called out, but Ye also called out the lawyer who Adidas hired to allegedly change his Adidas contract.

Under the post, Kanye told Adidas that it is going to cost “billions” to keep him and threatened to leave Adidas by Tuesday, September 6.

“I have no chill It’s going to cost you billions to keep me It’s goin to cost you billions to let me go adidas” Ye wrote. Y”ou stole my fucking designs amongst other things I’ll give you to Tuesday I’m not waiting 7 months to leave like the breach letter I sent you refers to It’s up now I’m going to make things unbearable And I promise I’ve only been playing nice i know eeeeeeeverythning I promise The fake shoes yall sold behind my back in China Eeeeeverything.”

West’s attack on Adidas has many of his devout fans siding with him and pushing for his exit from Adidas. One Yeezy fan page had posted “@kanyewest Ye we need the list of unapproved YEEZY’s we the REAL YEEZY ARMY & we ain’t buying colorways designed by [clowns].”

Ye reposted the message on his Instagram, with a caption that explained that Adidas had tried to buy Yeezy from him for a billion dollars.

“The fact adi felt they could color my shoes and name them without my approval is really wild But I promise everyone adidas is not as wild as me,” Ye wrote. “I really really care about building something that changes the world and something I can leave to my kids They tried to buy me out for 1 billion dollars My royalties next year are 500 million dollars alone Daniel Cherry Pop makes 2 million a year Yeezy’s are 68 percent of adidas on line sales You guys thought cause DCP Daniel Cherry Pop went to Warden that he could politely give me a billion dollars to hand everything I built over.”

John Legend Addresses Issues With Kanye West, Says West was Upset because Legend didn’t Support his Presidential Run

Kanye West John Legend

Politics has a way of dividing even the closest of friends and while it appeared that famous artists John Legend and Kanye West had a traditional Democrat vs. Republican fallout, that was not apparently the case.

In an interview with the New Yorker, Legend clarifies that while he is a vocal supporter of many Democrats, including Joe Biden, his and West’s issues have nothing to do with West’s one-time support of Donald Trump, but rather because Legend didn’t endorse West in his 2020 presidential run.

In the interview, Legend stated the following: “What it got described as was, we stopped being friends because he supported Trump, which was a mischaracterization of what I said. That was kind of the Rupert Murdoch version of the story—it was all over the New York Post and Fox News. What I was saying was that he was very upset with me that I didn’t support him running for President, and that was the real impetus for us having a strain in our friendship. I don’t know what will happen in the future, but he was very upset with me that I didn’t support him and I supported Joe Biden. It’s up to him whether he can get past that.” [According to the New Yorker, West could not be reached for comment.]

In 2018, Ye posted screenshots of a tweet in which Legend asked him to “reconsider aligning [himself] with Trump,” to which West followed up with a series of bizarre tweets in which he seemed to emphasize independent thought while still maintaining his support for then-president Trump.

However, when West made his own run for president, Legend did not support him and rather supported Biden.

Legend was not the only hip-hop artist to draw West’s ire. On a 2020 episode of “Drink Champs,” West called both Legend and Big Sean sellouts for not supporting him, stating, ““I know this man mama, bro. … I changed this man’s family. Both John Legend and Big Sean, when I ran for office, got used quick by the Democrats to come at they boy that actually changed they life. And that’s some sellout sh-t. And I don’t rock with neither of them and I need my apologies. I ain’t saying they gon’ change, but n-ggas is scared.”

West received about 60,000 votes out of an estimated total of 160 million in the 2020.

Kanye West Shares His Favorite Songs, Including The ‘Best Song In The History Of Music To Date’

Kanye West has been active on social media over the past few days, but today, instead of calling out Gap and Adidas, or sharing personal conversations between his ex-wife and her mother, he took some time to share some of his favorite songs.

The Grammy Award-winning rapper and producer has collaborated with several artists throughout his two-decade career, from up-and-comers to established heavy-hitters. Though he may be one of the most polarizing figures of our time, he certainly has a great ear when it comes to music.

Oh his Instagram today, he posted a screenshot of a music player playing “Church Girl” from Beyoncé’s seventh studio album, Renaissance. He captioned the post, saying “Favorite song on Beyoncé album.”

In the next post, he shared the title track from DJ Khaled’s 13th album, God Did, which features Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, and a four-minute verse from Jay-Z. In the post’s caption, he deemed the song, “Song of the year next to Wait For You,” presumably referring to Future and Drake’s collaboration, “Wait For U.”

In the following post, he shared “Essence” by Wizkid and Tems, which he deemed the “Best song in the history of music to date.”

“Need to shoot a video,” he said in the post’s caption. “Me [and] game have never missed like literally have never missed. Just like me and Pusha.”

Ye’s ear for music drives him toward perfection. In a recent interview, producer Mike Dean revealed West scrapped an album’s worth of material while working on Ye in 2018.

Kid Cudi “Keeps Moving Forward” Despite Kanye’s Recent Social Media Posts

Kid Cudi x Kanye West

Taking heed to his lyrics on the 2018 song “Reborn” with the aggressor in this situation, Kid Cudi is moving forward, and will keep doing so despite Kanye’s comments. Despite the constant poking, Kanye has become a non-factor to Cudi, who’s currently on tour for his album Man On The Moon 3. Cudi took to […]

Kanye West Wants His Kids To Split Weekly Attendance Between Two California Schools

In a recent episode of Nathan Fielder’s comedy doc The Rehearsal, Fielder and his fake wife have differing thoughts on how to raise their fake child in regards to faith. Fielder is Jewish, but she’s a devout Christian who refuses to bring up their temporary child with Judaism. So Fielder drops the kid off at a Jewish school, only to have his real parents pick him up and take him to his real school, before he returns back to the TV show. Two schools? Seems reasonable only on a twisted reality show like The Rehearsal, but a setup similar to this is what Kanye West is proposing for his kids amid the latest dispute with his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, this time about what school their kids should go to.

Kanye West posted on Instagram an “idea” of what he thinks the ideal school setup for his kids would be: To go to the Donda Academy for two days and then spend three days at Sierra Canyon school where Kardashian seems to prefer that they go. For what it’s worth, Sierra Canyon is where LeBron James’ kids attend and where his son Bronny leads the decorated basketball team, but I digress. Because Kanye also proposed an alternative of “3 days at Donda and 2 at Sierra Canyon.” Also adding that this would be “including field trips busing to educational places.”

Kanye has been going on Instagram tirades as of late on the subject. A recent storm of since deleted posts said things like “My kids going to Donda. They not going to Sierra Canyon.” And people feel as if those words were directed at the children’s grandmother, Kris Jenner.

And while the recent “idea” of Kanye’s might make sense to him, one has to imagine what an awkward setup it would be for his children to be shuttled back and forth from one to school to the other on a weekly basis because their parents can’t come to an agreement. He commented on his latest post with “This is co-parenting.” But is Instagram really the place to co-parent? Stay tuned…

Could Kanye West Be Gearing Up To Take The Kardashians, Gap, + Adidas To Court?

Kanye West

Kanye West has recently went on a social media tirade. The rapper is tired of being labeled “crazy” for wanting to have a say-so over decisions around his businesses and children. Is This Co-Parenting? The Yeezy mogul has reached his breaking point with the Kardashians, including his business relationships with Gap and Adidas, after decisions […]
