But don’t look for Joe to get back in the booth seriously. Joe Budden could have hit the Madison Square Garden stage and delivered a “Pump It Up” performance.

During a recent episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, Budden revealed Nicki Minaj reached out to him to perform his hit during her Pink Friday Tour stop in NYC. Budden denied it because he doesn’t know if he has the “hype” in him.

“Nicki hit me last night,” Budden said. “She hit me when she was about to go on in Jersey. I was home. She didn’t say, ‘Yo, come out to Jersey’ and do that. She was 30 minutes from going on stage, and she hit me. I said, ‘I want to go to the New York show.’ And she said, ‘Yeah, you’re gonna come out and do ‘Pump it Up.’”

Regarding rejecting the offer, Budden said, “I gotta go out there and act hype, and I don’t know, I ain’t hype no more.”

Speaking with his cohost Parks, Budden revealed his last stage performance was in 2016.

Joe Budden Is Tired Of Tyrese Haliburton Being Compared To Jalen Brunson

After a lot of trash talk from the Indiana Pacers after their dominant win in Indiana, the Knicks responded in a big way. The Knicks beat the Pacers last night 121-91, completely outplaying their opponent. Jalen Bruson showed out once again. The Knicks PG put up a slight 44 points for another one of his many 40-point games this postseason. The Knicks played with toughness and an edge due to the front running the Pacers displayed in Indiana. Everything was fantastic when the Pacers were up big, and they talked a lot of trash, especially their star player, Tyrese Ahliburton. After last night’s no-show from Tyrese, Joe Budden never wanted to see him put alongside Jalen Brunson.

Tyrese Haliburton had a bad game, and it looked like the lights were too bright. He passed up open shots on multiple occasions, only scoring 13 points in what was a must-win game. When the Pacers needed him to score, Haliburton didn’t stop, and it was super noticeable that he was passive. Many fans looked at Jalen Brunson’s continued heroics in the playoffs as something Tyrese can’t do unless he is up by 30. Joe Budden is done with the Tyrese Haliburton talk.

Joe Budden Says You Can’t Compare Jalen Brunson To Tyrese Haliburton

Joe Budden says the Tyrese Haliburton and Jalen Brunson debate is entirely over. One guy has several 40-point games in the postseason, and the other guy has been shrinking against the Knicks. Knicks fans have a sordid history with the Indiana Pacers. There is some legitimate dislike on both sides. Last night, the crowd at MSG really got into the game after Knicks guard Donte DiVincenzo and T.J. McConnell got into it, which resulted in the Knicks going on a huge run. The stakes were huge, and the crowd was rowdy, and Tyrese Haliburton was nowhere to be found.

The Knicks now have a 3-2 lead over the Pacers. The series is heading back to Indiana for Game 6, meaning the Knicks can close it out in Indiana. The series has been very entertaining and hard to predict. The Knicks are dealing with several injuries to key players and have rallied to lead the series. Indiana needs Tyrese Haliburton to step up and keep them alive to get to game 7 at Madison Square Garden.

Joe Budden Suggests Drake’s Many Beefs With Others Are What Caused His Problems

Everyone who’s made it to the top has probably ruffled some feathers along the way, and also likely created a lot of undue jealousy within folks who were more resentful than secure. But according to Joe Budden and some other members of his podcast, Drake’s position in the Kendrick Lamar beef is one of his own doing. “The most important line in this battle starts to come true, which is ‘It’s not just me,’” he remarked on the newest episode of his show. “‘I’m what the culture [is] feeling.’ When you pair that to the weirdo chart activity, when you pair that to… Yo, dawg, when ‘Not Like [Us]’ dropped, I learned that Mustard had a problem with Drake. I start scratching my f***ing head. N***a, you got a beef with Mustard?

“It’s not a two-sided coin,” Joe Budden continued. “I’m saying that one person has offended about 100 people in the music industry, and you can hear it. Every step of the way in this battle, it comes up. Every step in the battle, he says something else that reminds me, ‘Oh, s**t, he got a beef with -– Oh, s**t, Ja Morant.’ N***a, Jack started tweeting! Jack! From Twitter! Start tweeting, it’s weird.

Joe Budden Theorizes On Why So Many People Are Not Supporting Drake Right Now

“Ice, I don’t care what you n***as say on some fanfare s**t,” Joe Budden went on. “If we were in real life, and this existed with somebody, how would we treat that person? That’s why I don’t care about the fans’ opinion about a beef. The industry is sending a clear-cut message that you have worn out your welcome. This is not a Kendrick, just West Coast thing. Yeah, Kendrick, they just went and tapped somebody on the shoulder, like, ‘Big dog, help. Help.’ Metro is on Twitter saying, ‘Aye, Drake, you know that I can’t say whatever our real problem is because both of us are going to look crazy.’ That mean that he’s told somebody whatever that real problem is, and it looks crazy.

“This is not just coincidentally, ‘We are all mad at Drake’s success, and we are acting out,’” he concluded. “This is bigger than that is all I’m saying. So for him to not recognize it, I agree with Emanny, it just boils down to the arrogance, I think. It says something that nobody outside of Birdman is saying something in support of Drake. It’s not up for question, I’m telling y’all something. I’m telling y’all factual music business s**t. It’s no longer just odd, it’s by design, it’s calculated.”

Joe Budden Hilariously Dances To Kendrick Lamar’s Scathing Drake Diss, “Not Like Us”

Joe Budden is someone that people have been wanting to hear from as of late. Overall, this is because of the current feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar. Budden has proven to be one of the most beloved commenters on the culture. Sure, he may be disagreeable at times, but he is always entertaining when giving his opinion. Furthermore, he is someone who has been very critical of Drake in the past, which has made fans doubly curious about his thoughts on the Kendrick Lamar feud.

After Kendrick dropped “Not Like Us” on Saturday, Budden hopped on a stream with DJ Akademiks. It was here where he claimed that Drizzy was currently losing. He felt like a time stamp record was necessary, although that is not what Drake gave us. Instead, he came through with “The Heart Part 6” which felt like a surrender. In the latest episode of the Joe Budden Podcast, Joe discussed the beef and revealed just how much he loves “Not Like Us.” He even used the song to taunt Ish, who is seemingly on Drake’s side.

Joe Budden Reacts To Drake’s “The Heart Part 6,” Declares Kendrick Lamar The Winner As “Drake Sounds Exhausted”

Joe Budden has been one of the biggest voices when it comes to the feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake. Overall, he has been caught recording podcasts whenever a new track drops. This happened last week with “Euphoria” and it also happened with “6:16 In LA.” However, we have yet to get a podcast from Budden that is centered on “Family Matters,” “Meet The Grahams,” and “Not Like Us.” In fact, we also got “The Heart Part 6” last night, which is making Budden’s job that much more difficult.

Throughout the weekend, Budden got to call into DJ Akademiks’ stream, where they got to debate all the shots that have been taken so far. Ultimately, Budden has been impressed with everything Kendrick Lamar has dropped. That said, it appears as though “The Heart Part 6” has left him completely overwhelmed. In the video below, Budden tells Akademiks that he is exhausted with the music being released right now. So much so that he kind of just wants this all to be over. He even gave the final tally to Kendrick, noting that Drake is essentially waving the white flag.

Joe Budden Speaks Out

“I’m over it… Drake sounds exhausted… I want the battle to end after Not Like Us… I learned today I like Drake on offense and not defense,” Joe said. This is a sentiment that has been shared by many in the hip-hop world. This past weekend was absolutely exhausting, and fans are kind of done with it. While it isn’t exactly the best outcome for Drake, there is no denying that he put up a solid fight. Now, it’s up to Kendrick to decide whether or not he will respond to Drizzy’s allegations. As it stands, fans would love for him to say at least something.

Let us know what you think of this take from Joe Budden, in the comments section down below. Do you agree that this entire feud is exhausting? Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” Drake Diss Leave DJ Akademiks & Joe Budden Impressed

The hip-hop world is reacting wildly and quickly to Kendrick Lamar’s latest Drake diss, the Mustard-produced West Coast banger “Not Like Us.” While the jury’s still out on who officially won, the Toronto superstar sure has a lot of pressure and things to answer for, as does his Compton counterpart. No one will forget or avoid predator, domestic violence, deadbeat, or false paternity allegations forever. With this context in mind, Everyday Struggle saw a reunion recently, as DJ Akademiks invited Joe Budden to speak over the phone during his stream and discuss this new song. Their thoughts may surprise you, but the overall verdict is an impressed one.

“Does that matter, though?” DJ Akademiks asked Joe Budden about the claims that Kendrick Lamar and Drake have launched at each other. Budden proposed that both being right about “tea” and speaking on it openly and confidently are important metrics to judge this by. Ak added that Kendrick was able to match Drake on the “club record” front, and both commentators had high praise for each MC’s tactics and playmaking. The streamer asked if this was a specific advantage for the West Coast, and the podcaster thinks that’s a valid claim that helps Mr. Morale’s case on the cultural front.

DJ Akademiks & Joe Budden Discuss “Not Like Us”

Then, DJ Akademiks and Joe Budden discussed whether even responding to Kendrick Lamar’s predator allegations would be a good move for Drake. They conceded that K.Dot has an advantage in that regard, especially since Drizzy said that he would take a vacation. “The best thing for Drake to do is find an out,” Budden remarked, but “going on vacation” would be admitting defeat and puts Kendrick in a position to bomb him as much as he wants. Still, they also acknowledged that the OVO mogul is too big of an artist with too big of a fanbase to really fall off completely.

Ak Reacts To Kendrick Lamar’s New Drake Diss’ Cover Art

Also, DJ Akademiks and Joe Budden theorized as to whether Drake emptied his full clip, but thought that maybe targeting the other rappers on the sidelines in this feud indicates otherwise. Budden even said that he’s happy with how this beef is now and would be satisfied if it’s over, which surprised Ak. With both MCs garnering more takes from the culture and their fanbases, it’s still not a lost battle. But the dynamics for this war and the angles these artists are playing from seem different with every round, so we’ll see what happens.

Joe Budden Reacts To Kendrick Lamar’s New Diss Track “Euphoria”

Ever since Kendrick Lamar first took shots at Drake and J. Cole back in March, the rap world has been following every development closely. As the beef slowly expanded to include Kanye West, Rick Ross, Metro Boomin, and even potentially Future and The Weeknd, rap blogs shares their reactions in real time. That included Joe Budden who called together numerous emergency podcasts with his team to react in real time to the various developments in the beef. Most recently, Kendrick Lamar shared his Drake response track “euphoria” and Budden was quick to react.

Today, he shared his full live reaction to the song. In the video, Budden and his co-hosts listen to the song and share their first reactions. They frequently pause the song to discuss lyrics Kendrick delivers, often with impressed reactions. Fans in the comments following along seem to think he has a blatantly pro-Kendrick bias. That would be in line with his over-arching reaction to the beef at this point. He revealed that he thinks Kendrick is winning so far, but he’s looking forward to what Drake will hit back with. Check out the full video of his reaction below.

Joe Budden Reacts To Kendrick Lamar’s New Diss Track

Specifically, Joe Budden said that Drake got “punched in the face” by Kendrick’s diss. But he’s been consistent throughout the entire beef in claiming that anybody can change things if they hit back with a good response. That was the case when he made the claim that J. Cole could start to rebuild his reputation by responding to Kanye West’s “Like That” diss track.

Cole responded to Kendrick back in March, but quickly deleted his response track. He’s yet to release anything taking aim at some of the claims Kanye made about him. What do you think of Joe Budden and his co-hosts take on Kendrick Lamar’s new diss track “euphoria?” Do you agree with him that Kendrick is winning the beef so far but Drake could take it back? Joe Budden Claims Drake Got “Punched In The Face” By Kendrick Lamar Diss

Joe Budden is always good for a soundbite. He’s been tracking the Drake vs. Kendrick Lamar beef since day one, and has made it clear that he has admiration for both artists. He was complimentary of Drake’s diss song “Push Ups,” and even “Taylor Made Freestyle,” but he also praised Lamar when he put out the scathing “Euphoria” response. Lamar brought six minutes of mayhem to the table, and Budden feels as though he won the first round. That being said, Budden is excited to see what Drake does next.

Joe Budden called DJ Akademiks during a live stream on April 30. The two men debated the merits of both diss tracks, but the former came down as pro-Kendrick Lamar. He felt the Compton emcee raised the bar as the beef transitions to the second record. Budden’s ruling was by no means a slight against Drake, though. In fact, the podcaster is excited to see how the 6 God responds. In his estimation, Drake finally has an opponent who can test his abilities and his toughness as a rapper.

“I want to see Drake bleed,” Budden asserted. “I want to know how my favorites respond to getting punched in the face. Love Drake, and I’m gonna love him more if he do what he need to do.”

Joe Budden Wants To See Drake “Bleed” In Battle

Budden posited that Drake has had a “smooth ride” throughout his career, and is finally being challenged by someone who can compete in his commercial arena. The podcaster claims the Pusha T feud has been the only bump in the Toronto rapper’s career, which means there’s an aspect of Drake’s artistry that fans haven’t seen yet. “The a n**ga in front of you now that you have to respect even if you don’t like him,” Budden added. “Finish your food. I come from the finish your food era. This ain’t Meek Mill no more.”

This is a sentiment that Budden has expressed before. He’s questioned Drake in the past, and even put out diss tracks against the “God’s Plan” rapper back when he was an artist. He even doubted whether Drake would respond to Lamar’s original “Like That” diss in March, and was pleasantly surprised when “Push Ups” dropped. Budden wants Drake to keep impressing him, and by extension, the fans, in round two.

Joe Budden Thinks Future & Metro Boomin Will Sabotage OVO Fest

Joe Budden is always looking for the angle. He’s been chronicling the feud between Drake, Future and Metro Boomin on his podcast, and he thinks the next chess moves will be made on the road. The former rapper theorized that Future and Metro Boomin will purposely schedule their tour in an effort to ruin the attendance for Drake’s upcoming OVO fest in Toronto. He went as far as to say that the duo will enlist the help of another Canadian superstar, The Weeknd, to drive the point home.

Budden noticed that Future and Metro’s Toronto date may line up with the same weekend as OVO Fest. If true, he’s confident Drake will push the dates back. “If The Weeknd comes out on that Future tour stop,” he noted. “I have Drake moving that weekend. He’s moving the weekend.” The rest of the podcast panel hated Budden’s theory. Regardless, he stood his ground. “This wouldn’t be the first time he moved OVO fest,” he added. “I don’t think there’s any shame in that when you spend as much money and as much manpower to put this weekend together.”

Joe Budden Thinks Drake Will Push Back OVO Fest

Joe Budden insisted that The Weeknd was the key artist in this game of concert chicken. He believes if the “Starboy” singer shows up to the Future show, it will take the wind out of Drake’s sails. His rationale is that Weeknd is a bigger artist. “I would think that the second day of OVO Fest has a greater turnout the day there’s not a Future show,” he posited. “Cuse that’s a weekend. That’s a whole weekend.”

The feud between these artists is not letting up. Firstly, Future and Metro dropped the “Like That” remix with more Drake disses. Secondly, The Weeknd crooned a few disses on the duo’s song “All to Myself.” Future also guested on Nardo Wick’s “Back to Back,” which saw him mock Drake using his own song titles. It’s safe to assume these artists will be performing their diss records in Toronto. If Drake does decided to move forward with OVO fest the same weekend, however, fans will be forced to pick sides. Things could get messy. To use Joe Budden’s own words: “let’s see.”
