Recently, Budden decided to go on a bit of a rant as it pertains to Big Sean. During this rant, Budden explained that he is sick of the way Big Sean goes about dissing people. This comes after Sean was accused of taking a jab at Kendrick Lamar during his “On The Radar” freestyle. It was later said that perhaps he was taking shots at Kanye West. Either way, Joe is sick of the confusion.

“My problem with Big Sean is — respectfully, if you’re watching, Big Sean. I mean no disrespect by this — the vagueness that comes with his disses,” Budden explained. “Big Sean does lyrically diss people, and then we hear it as fans and we get to guessing. And then every guess we [make], he says, ‘You’re wrong.’ But he don’t never tell us who he’s dissing. Not that he has to, but our guesses be sounding accurate to us.”

Lupe Fiasco might be digging himself in a deeper hole with Kendrick Lamar fans after another Twitter Spaces event. Over the weekend, the lyrical technician hosted his own Spaces where he debated fans about the hip-hop gatekeepers, which then led him to Dot fans calling him a hater. Now, just a couple of days later, Lupe hopped back on the social media platform to clear up some of the key takeaways with Joe Budden. The rapper turned podcaster commended the Chicago native for just saying what he feels about the entire Kendrick versus Drake beef. However, Lupe revealed something quite interesting.

He claims that post “Champagne Moments”, the Rick Ross diss aimed at Drake, he has not listened to any of the diss records. That includes songs like “Family Matters”, “Not Like Us”, “meet the grahams”, “6:16 in LA”, and more. “I kinda tapped out”, Lupe admitted. Budden made a funny joke in relation to how his Spaces guest did it out of pure hatred for Lamar. But he continued to insist that there is no bitterness in his body for his California contemporary.

As many of you know by now, Joe Biden has announced that he will not be running for re-election in 2024. Although he was deadset on staying in the race, it was becoming clear that it was a bad idea for him to stay in. Joe Budden Issued An Apology To Cardi B, And Although The Rapper Seemed To Accept It She Still Had Thoughts

Has Cardi B and Joe Budden’s time as foes come to an end? Well, it sure seems like it. During the latest episode of Joe Budden Podcast, Joe issued a formal apology to Cardi B for his past criticisms of her.

On July 18, the “Like What (Freestyle)” rapper took to X (formerly Twitter) Spaces to clapback at Joe’s disappointment in her sophomore album delays. In the audio recording, Cardi made several allegations about Joe while slamming him for “always taking sh*t” about her. Although Joe denied Cardi’s allegations, he decided to apologize for potentially hurting her feelings. In fact, he went on to profess his admiration for Cardi.

“Cardi is on my list of people I’m going to love no matter what,” he said. “If I’ve ever made a joke that’s offended Cardi B, I’m sorry.”

Cardi took to X with a sassy response of her own.

“I got love for you too, Joe,” she wrote. “But you been changing your tone on me real heavy the last 3 years, whether music or personal. Like when I was goin’ through real sh*t with my marriage in December. You went on ya platform and tried to make that about somebody else and what they got going on. I know criticism comes with the territory. But sometimes the narrative y’all decide to go run with be soooooo toxic. It’s all love tho see you soon.”

It looks like Cardi B is sticking to her forgive but never forget motto.

Joe Budden and Drake have a very complicated relationship, one that the former is very happy to speak on and speak on and speak on… Moreover, during the most recent episode of the Slaughterhouse rapper’s self-titled podcast, he specifically ranted against artists that are bringing up his own pivot from his rap career into podcasting against him. But Budden made it clear that there’s only one person who can ever really criticize him in this regard, and that’s the 6ix God. Why does he have that special privilege? Well, Joe suggests that, since talking about Drizzy makes him a lot of money, he’s one of the only ones who have actually been able to be as successful as Joe wanted to be with his original plan to be a hip-hop artist.

“I move the way I move,” Joe Budden remarked on his podcast. “If n***as got a problem with it, in the great words of -– no pun -– Cardi, ‘If it’s up, then it stuck!‘ When Drake drops a diss, I make a million dollars. None of y’all have that equity! No, it’s too many people out there that think that I have something to gain from speaking highly or lowly about you n***as. That little box is reserved for him! I’ma come in here and talk about that n***a’s diss tracks whether I like it or not! It’s happened too many times. That’s gonna be a good month.”

Joe Budden Speaks On Drake’s Profitability

Speaking of that Cardi B beef, one of the things that she brought up against Joe Budden is how he’s a clown in her eyes for speculating on Drake’s alleged $400 million deal with UMG. “Stop being a f***ing hater,” she remarked. “I’ll f***ing tour till I’m 65 if somebody gives me $400M. $400M that you don’t have… Everything that somebody do good, you always hate on it. That’s bad, that’s terrible. You always hating on something.”

Also, Joe Budden’s hot takes on Drake usually extend to his fanbase, too. “If you’re talking to a Drake fan, that don’t mean you’re talking to a hip-hop fan,” he recently posited. Of course, many wildly misinterpreted this statement online as a claim that Drake fans are not hip-hop fans. As Budden and Aubrey prove time and time again, the line between critique and cruel hating is a very thin one on either side.

The end is here: Today (July 19), Donald Glover released Bando Stone And The New World, which he says will be his final album as Childish Gambino. He didn’t go out quietly, either, as it looks like he might have cultivated some beef on the project.

Since the album’s release, some have speculated that Glover references Budden on “Survive.” On the track, he says, “They in the minor leagues, but I’m pro-black / I bet he hate his mom, how you know that? / You got a podcast ’cause you can’t rap / You on some Fresh And Fit sh*t, talking body counts / I count a body every time I’m on tracks.”

Budden, of course, is a retired rapper who now hosts The Joe Budden Podcast. As HipHopDX notes, Fresh And Fit is a podcast whose hosts have had run-ins with Budden, while Budden his talked about “body counts,” a term meaning the number of sexual partners a person has had, on his show.

It’s been a busy 24 hours for Budden, as Cardi B went off on him just yesterday.

Childish Gambino Seems To Diss Joe Budden On New Album “Bando Stone And The New World”

Childish Gambino’s presumably final album, Bando Stone And The New World, has a little bit of everything for Donald Glover fans. There’s some soulful and tender instrumentation, some wild distorted experimentation, and the return of boastful and combative Gambino on more than a few fiery rap cuts here. Of course, people became so beef-pilled in recent months that folks immediately combed through the lyrics to see if anyone caught strays. While there aren’t any direct shots on Bando Stone, one particular set of lines on the track “Survival” with Chlöe Bailey is the most likely subliminal, and it’s seemingly directed at Joe Budden.

“They in the minor leagues, but I’m pro-Black / I bet he hate his mom, how you know that? / You got a podcast ’cause you can’t rap / You on some Fresh and Fit s**t, talking body counts / I count a body every time I’m on tracks,” Childish Gambino raps on the cut. While this might seem like a bizarre and out-of-nowhere shot, there’s actually some precedent for animosity here. Budden had previously posited that Drake would absolutely demolish Gambino in a rap battle, whether through straight-up bars or having a troll-off.

Childish Gambino’s “Survival”: Listen To The Alleged Joe Budden Disses

Of course, Joe Budden’s beef-preoccupied mind probably spends more time these days thinking about Cardi B rather than Childish Gambino. They recently engaged in a pretty nasty Twitter spat, as Cardi blasted the rapper and podcaster for his criticisms of her career and releases. Budden seemed to take it all in stride and dismiss engaging with the conversation, whether to indicate his lack of ill will or to not deal with that headache altogether. Either way, it doesn’t seem like a very good weekend to be the Slaughterhouse MC.

Meanwhile, other Childish Gambino fans think that the lyrics on Bando Stone might take shots at Drake, Kendrick Lamar, or others. In fact, some folks just want to see him talk about all the rap beefs in 2024, which he already expressed little interest in. More importantly, plenty of other bars on this album indicate that Glover could really care less about rap beef. So whether or not this was actually a shot at Joe Budden, we doubt he wants to make a big deal out of it.

Moreover, she took to Twitter once more with a message for her fanbase, thanking them for the support during the highs and lows.

“I gave you a lap dance two times at Starlets, you was high,” Cardi said. “High as fuck on coke nigga. I could smell that coke through your breath.

“I don’t care when people talk shit about me, but you always talk shit about me. Out of nowhere. For the past two years this nigga has only talked bad things about me constantly. Why? Cause you got an interview?”

Cardi alluded to Joe Budden’s interview with Cardi’s rival Nicki Minaj.

“Nigga sat here in December and said I got into with my husband,” Cardi said. “For a publicity stunt, because this and that dropped.”

She closed with, “I ain’t fuckin Drake nigga. I ain’t going to write a nice paragraph, I’m going to come at you.”

New beef alert: Cardi B is not particularly pleased with Joe Budden right now.

Recently, Budden spoke about the long-awaited follow-up to Cardi’s 2018 album Invasion Of Privacy, saying, “We’ll never get another Cardi album again. I am standing on it. Cardi got something dropping with my man Rob[49], big Rob, on Friday. That’s going to be crazy, but that’s what Cardi’s about to be now: just a single artist.” He added, “I’m sure Offset wants Cardi to put out an album. Hey, fellas out there, boyfriends: y’all know that feeling, right? When you want your b*tch to get a job. You in the house, your b*tch just won’t leave.”

In an X Spaces broadcast yesterday (July 18), Cardi responded, saying (as Billboard notes), “Bro, I gave you a lap dance two times in Starlets. You was high as f*ck. High as f*ck on coke, n****. […] I don’t give a f*ck when people talk sh*t about me. It’s the fact you always talk sh*t about me, Joe Budden. Out of nowhere, you would think I did something to this n****. […] For the past two years, this n**** has only talked bad things about me.”

She later added, “You really want my album to come out so you can criticize it, ’cause every time I drop something, you don’t like it. Every single time a b*tch drops something and they doing mediocre, you say they doing better than me. […] What are you talking about? The sh*t is in motion. Merch is in motion, the box sets is in motion. You don’t know sh*t.”
