Key Glock Reflects On Signing With Young Dolph

Key Glock recently reflected on signing with Young Dolph and how his fallen friend set him up for success. Moreover, he spoke on Dolph’s generosity and emphasis on independence in a recent interview with Esquire. While the Memphis rapper bears the torch of Paper Route EMPIRE and arguably leads its charge, he still remembers how the label boss set the foundation. Furthermore, it was family and belief that brought their two paths together. Overall, Glock spoke earnestly about how small considerations made way to a successful rap career.

“It really just happened out of the blue,” the 25-year-old elaborated. “It wasn’t even a plan. I got into some trouble. I got incarcerated. And then close to the time for me to come home, my auntie was married to Young Dolph’s uncle. She told him, ‘You know, Key doing his thing… He just reached out to me and it went from there.” Of course, the Dolph protegé’s success is well-documented and recognized in the game. In fact, he just released his latest album Glockoma 2, which is among the impactful trap and hip-hop albums that 2023’s brought us so far.

“They always let me do me, let me be me,” Key remarked. Moreover, he said he values the independence and commitment to freedom that his late colleague lived by. “No matter what it was. Music or just everything in life. I go by my rules. You know, I don’t mean to disrespect anybody. It’s just how I move. Play by my own rules.” Early in the interview, Glock referred to a sense of confidence that likely led him to that individual hustler mentality. “From my first song, I just had so much confidence in myself,” he explained. “I let everybody hear it, before I even put it on the Internet. I don’t know if they were gassing me up or not, but to me, I was like, “Oh yeah, this song hard.”

Elsewhere in the interview, the “Russian Cream” MC spoke on his idea of success, which is dark but highly resonant. “Success is when you feel like you’re accomplishing things, but you still have this weight on you that you can’t shake. You want to keep surpassing yourself. I knew I was succeeding when I got more hate than ever. When you’re working and grinding, they aren’t going to say too much. Being successful, there’s pros and cons that comes with it.” If you’re interested, check out the full interview in the second link down below. R. Kelly & Aaliyah’s Alleged Biological Daughter Sits Down For Interview

A woman who claimed to be R. Kelly and Aaliyah’s biological daughter a few weeks ago has now sat down for an interview with TLYoungBoss. Moreover, she shared a part of her story in a video testimony on TikTok, which many quickly dismissed. “Okay, y’all, my name is Love,” she said in the video. “My given name. I am the biological daughter of Aaliyah Haughton and Robert Kelly, R. Kelly. I just want to tell my truth and tell my mother’s truth because I feel like it’s time and it’s needed. I feel like I went through so many things as far as keeping this identity and deliberating with different family members. You know the energy, you guys know how it can get. I just want the world to know the best part of me. I am also accepting of my mother Aaliyah Haughton. I’ve been shook around…”

In this new interview, she acknowledged how crazy her story sounds from the outside, but still expressed determination. “What made you want to share this information with the world? ‘Cause sometimes some people will know these things and they’ll just take it to the grave.” Then, Love (or Lagena) responded modestly. “Even I, I sound like I’m crazy. It’s going to be hard to prove, but I know from my heart and the fact that they went so hard to try to dispel what I was saying.”

Woman Doubles Down On Being R. Kelly And Aaliyah’s Biological Daughter

“You don’t resemble R. Kelly and Aaliyah to a tee,” the interviewer remarked. “What would you say to that, as far as someone saying that, ‘Hey, you don’t look like your dad, you don’t look like your mother.’” Furthermore, Lagena’s answer was quite interesting. “Well, I have two words: DNA and biology. Everybody don’t look like their parents. Somebody look like their grandparents, somebody look like their great-great grandparents and great-aunties. That’s how life is.”

“They do all kinds of wild s**t, and then they f**k up, and then they wanna erase reality like it never happened,” another interviewer remarked. “There are so many of these children who are victims and casualties of their boss’s systemic sociopathic ways.” Check out the full interview here and check back in with HNHH for the latest on this story.

GS Boyz’s Oh Boy Prince Details Accident With An 18-Wheeler

Surely everyone remembers 2008’s leg-alternating “Stanky Legg” dance, made popular by the Texas rap trio GS Boyz. Sadly, however, the group has made headlines this year for what could have been a deadly car accident back in January. The Shade Room Teens had the opportunity to speak with member Oh Boy Prince, who was involved in the gruesome ordeal. The incident occurred as the former Jive Records signee and his girlfriend headed to an early morning interview on January 6th.

According to Oh Boy Prince—real name Matthew Griffith—the couple were heading there on Interstate 30 in Dallas-Fort Worth. While in the far left lane, a brake pad detached from a nearby 18-wheeler and flew directly his way. The thick metal piece went through his windshield and struck him in the face before landing in his son’s car seat. Thankfully, they’d just dropped him off at school about 30 minutes before. “I just passed out,” Griffith remembers. His girlfriend, Unique Musick, took the wheel in an attempt to get them to the side of the road. Unique tells The Shade Room Teens her child was the only thing on her mind at the time. “All I could think about is my son being without his parents, so my main focus was getting us to safety as quickly as possible and getting Prince help,” she tells them.

Oh Boy Prince’s Injuries Revealed

According to the two, Oh Boy Prince suffered from fractured bones in his face and right eye socket. This resulted in three surgeries during his five-day stay at Methodist Dallas Medical Center. The Control Your Jealousy artist shares “they had to put plates in my face, and screws and wire in my jaw.” Traumatized by the experience, Unique Musick found solace through family and friends as she recapped it all online. She also created a GoFundMe account for the family, collecting nearly $1,500 for Prince’s medical expenses.

Investigators involved in the case are having a hard time deciphering whose truck the brake pad came off of. “No one has been charged in this incident or being held responsible,” Oh Boy prince relays to the interviewer. “I want justice.” The rapper’s attorneys told him the closest camera to the scene was unfortunately blocked off by a wall. All in all, the couple hopes all 18-wheelers will be thoroughly checked moving forward.

Halle Bailey Reveals The Parallels Between Her And “The Little Mermaid”

Disney’s newest princess, Halle Bailey, is set to star in the 2023 remake of The Little Mermaid. As the cover star of The Face magazine’s spring issue, Halle reflects on her role in the live-action film and reveals how she connects deeply with her character. The 22-year-old also dishes down on Rob Marshall’s take on the Disney classic, noting how Ariel now has more “freedom,” versus her typical suppressed characterization. “What’s beautiful about this version of The Little Mermaid is that it’s a lot more modern,” she tells the magazine.

When Bailey was first announced to be Ariel, she was met with racist backlash. Critics claimed that a Black woman cast in this role didn’t fit the normal description for the mermaid, which spiraled into a #NotMyAriel hashtag, the magazine notes. With support from her closest friends and family, however, Bailey didn’t get discouraged. “I know people are like: ‘It’s not about race.’ But now that I’m her… people don’t understand that when you’re Black there’s this whole other community. It’s so important for us to see ourselves,” she tells The Face.

Halle Bailey Channels Her Inner Ariel In A Beachside Photoshoot

When rehearsals first started for The Little Mermaid, Bailey was only 19 and had trouble adjusting to being away from her family. But, she notes how this experience has shifted her in a positive way, revealing how she learned to be “independent.” Bailey added, “on the set of Mermaid, I learned how to say, ‘This is what I need’, without feeling bad about it.” The singer-turned-actor also reflected on how she realized parallels between her and the role she was taking on. “I felt like God was lining up themes in my life with the character,” Bailey explained. “Ariel has this longing for something more. She doesn’t quite know what it is yet, but she has to be brave in order to find it on her own.”

Although young, Bailey has already paved an acclaimed career for herself. She initially gained recognition for her work in Chlöe x Halle, an R&B duo featuring her older sister. With Beyoncé’s mentorship, the sisters have earned five Grammy nominations. Between her ongoing music career and the May 26th release of The Little Mermaid, this talented performer is proving to build up a legacy. 50 Cent Reflects On His Early Career And Divulges On Why Kids Fell In Love With Him

When 50 Cent first started his rap career in 1996, he led a dangerous life. The lyrics he expressed in the music that followed his troubled childhood were raw and heavy, but truthful. In an interview with MSNBC’s Ari Melber, the rap mogul shared his reflection on his early career. “The stuff that they see that I’ve learned, it kinda kept me out of trouble at points,” 50 told Melber. “The stuff I was saying in the music in the very beginning, I was crazy to tell you the truth, Ari. I was absolutely crazy at that point.”

One of 50’s most celebrated works from his early career was his debut album Get Rich or Die Tryin’. This best-selling rap album was charged with explicit lyrics and references to the rapper’s “crazy” beginnings. In “What Up Gangsta,” for example, 50 alludes to his gang relations. He describes, “nah, that’s a semi-auto and a vest on my chest, I try not to say nothin’ the DA might wanna play in court.” He continues these themes, rapping in “In da Hood,” “get robbed, get shot, shit is poppin’ in the hood.”

50 Explains His “Crazy” Youth

While “Get Rich or Die Tryin’” became instrumental to 50’s success, he notes how his fan base didn’t connect with him for the right reasons. He tells Melber, “Kids fell absolutely in love with me and they were in love with the wrong part of me. The part that won’t actually continue to be successful. The part that people won’t continue to be something that people celebrate.” Even today, 50 sees other hip-hop artists following in a similar suit. Specifically, he mentions rappers like 21 Savage, DaBaby, and Lil Durk. “They have to turn into something bigger and better as they go with the new information and new opportunities that come because they’re really street,” he says.

Nearly 25 years after the start of 50’s legacy, the rapper has fully changed his life around. The interview follows 50’s new development deal with Fox, which was also announced in his interview with Melber. With 24 shows across 10 different networks, this non-exclusive deal will open more doors for the 47-year-old to continue his work in television.

JT Prays For City Girls’ Future

JT recently opened up to Angie Martinez on her IRL podcast about the future of City Girls and how she prays for its health. While they’re one of the most talked-about and beloved duos who’ve blown up recently, their profile and success means that a lot can get in the way. Still, the Miami native spoke earnestly about her career path and the love she has for Yung Miami. After discussing JT’s personal story, the conversation eventually shifted towards the state of the duo. Overall, from the 30-year-old’s perspective, their relationship is one to nurture and protect.

“Hopefully the future of the City Girls can be the City Girls,” she expressed. “And I pray that our egos does not separate it. Or the internet, or guys, or like, nothing! Sometimes I be on my s**t; sometimes she be on her s**t. You know? Like, we’re human; we’re women. We’re not girls, we’re women. Sometimes I wanna be with my man, just like sometimes she wanna be with her man. And I hope that’s not what be the reason or interfere.” However, she clarified that she’s not scared of them beefing or cutting ties in any way. Moreover, she just hopes that their relationship can keep thriving in a volatile industry. “I do not see beefin’ and breaking up with the City Girls at all. Ever! That’s just stupid. I hope we don’t get too busy.”

Even while JT faced prison time as they blew up, the City Girls support each other through thick and thin. While their bond is strong, they also gave each other space to form their own careers and individual pursuits. For example, Yung Miami broke into the podcasting and acting world. On the other hand, JT recently made strides in the lanes of fashion and beauty. On Thursday (February 9), she announced her first solo deal: a partnership with KISS Colors & Care.

“JT is the epitome of confidence and self-expression,” the company’s VP of Global Marketing Annette DeVita-Goldstein stated. “Because KISS Colors and Care celebrates creativity and style versatility, we could not think of a more iconic brand partner to represent the brand and its philosophy. We’re thrilled to have JT as our celebrity partner – she continues to be a disruptive force in the music, fashion, and beauty industries. She is bold and embraces new hair looks with confidence and authenticity, which aligns perfectly with our new styling collection.” Regardless of what they do next, come back to HNHH for the latest on City Girls.

Drake & Son Adonis In Hilarious Barstool Sports Interview

Drake and his son Adonis just participated in a hilarious interview with Barstool Sports. Moreover, it formed part of the Sundae Conversation with Caleb Pressley series, where he interviews various celebrities. Of course, there’s a bit of a parody element to it, thanks to Pressley’s comical questions and delivery. Furthermore, they covered a lot of topics, including the 6 God’s parenting skills, his private plane, and his 42-diamond necklace. Overall, it was a pretty funny and earnest interview, and all parties seemed to have a good time.

Well, Adonis didn’t thank Caleb for his new basketball merch, but that was the only part. He also had a hilarious moment where he said he didn’t know how to read. Pressley asked him if he thought he’d be able to read if he had a better dad. Looking over at Drake, Adonis said “This is my better dad. [But] yeah. And that’s a funny dad, and also he does a lot of jokes.” In addition, Pressley asked Drake if his son ever cockblocks him to not split his inheritance.

However, one of the most interesting revelations in the interview concerns the Canadian star’s chain made of engagement rings. Readers may remember that the promotion behind it claimed that its 42 diamonds represent each time he wanted to propose. However, Drake clarified that it’s not meant to represent that so literally. “Well, yeah, it was more just a joke. But, obviously people took it pretty literal. I was just trying to have an interesting story.” To give you an idea of how the interview went, Pressley’s response was quite odd. He pointed to his co-host and said he has a necklace for every time he’s thought about boobs. Drake laughed hard, especially after he saw the necklace dragged down into a massive clump on the floor.

Also, they spoke of how to properly call women: b***hes or h*es. Moreover, Drizzy said that the latter is always better than the former, and doesn’t throw around the b-word in the everyday anymore. Of course, these comments are quite cheeky considering some of his lyrical content. “I’ll blow half a million on you h*es, I’m a feminist,” he rapped on Her Loss. Another hilarious moment was a debate on whether Dan Aykroyd invented Patrón Tequila.

Fun fact: Aykroyd’s the importing agent for Patrón into Canada. Overall, the “One Dance” star gave one piece of cryptically wise advice when talking about gambling. “You can always bet on fatherhood,” he expressed. Given that Drake interviews are rare, such a hilarious video with so many highlights is even rarer. Check out the full interview above and let us know your favorite moments in the comments down below. Also, as always, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest on Drake and more funny interview moments.

Drake Reveals Price Of Engagement Ring Necklace

Drake recently revealed the absolutely insane price of his engagement ring necklace with 42 diamonds. During a conversation with Instagram influencer Chris Too Smoove, Chris asked Drake to break down his fit’s cost from head to toe. Before getting into it, the Canadian star shouted out Icey Cold, who was another influencer who did this prompt with Drake before. To start, he didn’t know how much his Thom Browne glasses cost, thought he lost them a few times. Furthermore, he said his diamond earrings cost $1,200 and his diamond watch cost $900K.

Meanwhile, his jacket and shirt both cost $400 each, and when asked about his baggy jeans, Drake said he actually made them. While he didn’t know how much his boots cost either, he did tell Smoove to save the chain for last. Moreover, even then he hesitated a little bit before breaking it down. “Honestly, I’m embarrassed to say, probably like nine… Yeah, over 10 Ms, for sure.” As such, Smoove and onlookers screamed at Drake’s 10 million dollar bling. Of course, as probably the most successful and money-making rapper of his generation, are we really surprised?

Moreover, the self-proclaimed Champagne Papi has an interesting relationship with that necklace. For example, he designed it along with New York jeweler Alex Moss, who posted it on Instagram. Also, the piece took a year to complete and, in addition to diamonds, used 18-karat white gold. “Ordering the impossible,” a female voice narrated in Moss’ post showing off the chain. “An expedition spanning 14 months. Every diamond hand-selected. Inspected to only suit perfection.” However, the most interesting part about the piece revealed itself in the caption.

“New piece titled ‘Previous Engagements’ for all the times he thought about it but never did it,” the video’s caption read. “42 engagement rings, 351.38 carats in diamonds. By Alex Moss New York & Drake.” Overall, it’s pretty much the most Drake-like piece of jewelry ever created, and we’d be lying if we said he didn’t rock it. As always, stay tuned to HNHH for more insane celebrity purchases and the latest on Drake.
