Drake Seemingly Shades Kendrick Lamar While Calling Himself A “GOAT” On IG, Ice Spice, Sexyy Red, & More Are Loving It

Drake returned to Instagram on Sunday to label himself a “goat” with a picture showing himself attending one of his son Adonis’ soccer games. The move comes after he deleted several posts promoting his diss tracks against Kendrick Lamar, including “Family Matters” and “The Heart Part 6.” In the caption of his new post, he wrote: “Goats don’t worry about one trick ponies.” In the comments section, several celebrities have popped up to praise the Toronto rapper including Ice Spice and Sexyy Red.

Fans joined in the praise as well. “This era of ‘The Boy’ gon be crazyyYyyYyyy,” one user wrote. Another joked: “Drake the type of rapper that hands out orange wedges at his son’s soccer game.” Others interpreted the caption as a diss aimed at Kendrick Lamar, whose he’s been feuding with for months.

Kendrick Lamar kicked off the feud with Drake by dissing him on Metro Boomin and Future’s track, “Like That,” back in March. In the following months, the two traded diss track after diss track. Things have cooled off since Lamar released “Meet The Grahams” and “Like That” during the same weekend Drake dropped “Family Matters” and “The Heart Part 6.” TDE CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith declared the beef over back in May. “This battle is over,” he wrote on social media at the time. “A win for the culture, while keeping it all on wax. Especially when these publications try to make it something else. We proved them wrong. That’s a victory within itself. On another note, it’s time to wrap up this TDE [20-year] anniversary compilation.”

Flo Milli shared a series of stunning pictures on Instagram, on Saturday, following her appearance on Latto’s new remix for her song, “Sunday Service.” “B*tch I’m really HER f*ck wrong with n****s,” she wrote in the caption. The pictures show her posing outside of a restroom at an unknown venue. In the comments section, fans showed plenty of love for the look.

The post comes as her “Sunday Service” verse has been going viral online. Users on X (formerly Twitter) have been praising it since Friday’s release of the track. “Flo Milli met a Haitian man and never looked back lmao,” one user joked in response to the new remix. Another fan posted: “Aye, all ass shaking aside, I’m loving this energy from the rap girlies uniting and every verse was tough. Now back to the ass shaking.” Prior to the song’s release, Flo, Latto, and Megan Thee Stallion shared a video of themselves dancing backstage during the Hot Girl Summer Tour as a teaser.

Prior to the release of the “Sunday Service” remix, Flo made headlines for starring in a new campaign for Foot Locker and New Balance. Before that, she dropped her second studio album, Fine Ho, Stay, in March. That project features collaborations with Anycia, Cardi B, SZA, Gunna, and Monaleo. It peaked at No. 54 on the US Billboard 200. The single, “Never Lose Me,” became Flo’s first song to land on the Billboard Hot 100.

Ciara recreated the cover artwork for her iconic debut studio album, Goodies, on social media in celebration of the project’s upcoming 20th anniversary on Saturday. Additionally, she announced pre-orders for a vinyl version of the project dropping on September 27th, 2024. In the caption of her post, she wrote: “20 Years later. Still CiCi. Happy 20th Anniversary Goodies! Pre Order Vinyl Here!”

Fans have been loving the post in the replies on X (formerly Twitter). One user wrote to the singer: “There’s no way to even put into words what this album/era means/meant to me growing up. You came in the game BLAZING! And to think that it’s been 20 years?! You are an ICON, Ci! So proud of you and all that you’ve accomplished! Thank you for never giving up!” Another added: “Ciara!!!! Ciara’s debut album was a commercial success from the jump, starting at number three on the US Billboard 200 after selling 124,750 copies in its opening week. The RIAA has since certified it triple platinum. Goodies also notched Ciara two Grammy nominations the following year including Best New Artist and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for “1, 2 Step.” Across the tracklist, she worked with Missy Elliott, Ludacris, and more. On the track, “Next To You,” she featured R. Kelly but has reportedly chosen to omit that collaboration from the vinyl reissue.

Ice Spice & Quavo Trade Strikes At Bowling Alley Together

Rappers collaborate so much and so often these days through so many different modes (meetings, collabs, performances, social media mentions, etc.) that it’s rare for two artists to not really have many common links. Regardless, that didn’t stop Quavo and Ice Spice from having a good time at a bowling alley with friends, as a video recently surfaced of the two taking a picture together at the venue. Of course, it’s unclear whether they just ran into each other or all went out together, so some gossip will likely stir. After all, the Saweetie part of the former Migo’s Chris Brown drama showed that people seem pretty invested in his romantic life.

But in the case of Ice Spice, relationship rumors can’t really compare to the excitement around the announcement of her debut studio album, Y2K. There’s already a lot of conversation around whether or not she will continue her trademark style or bring something new to the table, as well as potential guests and sounds. The Bronx femcee is building a lot of momentum off of her breakout 2023, and while there’s a lot of competition, she seems comfortable in that space. What’s dominance without a challenge?

As for Quavo, he recently linked up with Ian and teased a new collaboration together, which should be a fun time for younger hip-hop listeners who mess with the Valedictorian. We don’t really know the nature of this meeting with Ice Spice, but we don’t have to and there are much better things going on with both that we should pay more attention to. The Georgia MC already dropped a solo album last year and, in addition to his Breezy beef, has some more singles in this year’s discog. With that in mind, we’ll see whether the gossip train is inevitable here.

Meanwhile, Ice Spice recently defended the clowned album cover for Y2K and its creator David LaChapelle on Twitter. “David LaChapelle is #Y2K! soooo sweet + legendary he didn’t even charge me cus he f**ks wit a real b***h,” she wrote in the caption of a photo of the two. “Thank U for all the incredible art you’ve put out through the years this cover means everything to me & yes Y2K was placed on the trash can on purpose can u guess why?”

Keyshia Cole Sings With Damian Lillard At The Club Amid Hunxho Fling

Keyshia Cole’s dealt with a lot this year on the social media front, handling backlash, gossip, speculation, and alleged disloyalty concerning her relationship with Hunxho. While we haven’t heard much on that front as of late, it seems like she wants to just have a good time in the club and forget about the drama in the way she knows best: singing her heart out. Moreover, the R&B star recently gave an impromptu and simple performance at a nightclub during a DJ set, and to some fans’ surprise, Damian Lillard was there in attendance singing right along with her. Folks in the comments noted their shared Oakland heritage before speculative and exaggerated fling rumors take over.

Jokes aside, Keyshia Cole probably feels untouchable in these moments, or at least, they provide a nice distraction from how hectic and overbearing the Internet can be. There are a lot more people speaking on her than she probably expected over this Hunxho thing, but that’s just the gossip train that she can either take advantage of, push forward, or attempt to outright halt. For example, Momma Dee recently took to social media for an interview to warn folks that this couple could be a transactional one. It’s the type of commentary that necessitates a label or any reason for being together that it’s the simple likelihood that they enjoy each other’s company.

Elsewhere, Damian Lillard is having some fun of his own right now, and hopefully this Keyshia Cole crossover is one of many cool moments so far in his off-season. The Milwaukee Bucks lost to the Indiana Pacers despite some killer performances from Dame, plus the fact that he did not play for most of the series. Hopefully he achieves some sense of balance as well between his training, his personal life, and his hobbies and desires. After all, the All-Star deserves his rest to fuel next season’s grind.

Meanwhile, Keyshia Cole will also have to dodge advances from Antonio Brown and some other antics in this current era of headlines. Whether the Hunxho relationship goes anywhere dramatic is a mystery for the rest of the year. But hopefully that continues to see other clips of every celebrity involved just having a good time. Lord knows that they won’t find it on Twitter…

Pusha T Shows Off His New Jay-Z Inspired Chain

While Pusha T may not be the first rapper many think of when it comes to elaborate chains, but he’s certainly among the genre’s biggest fans of flashy jewelry. He’s thrown out plenty of lyrics references to elaborate neck and wristwear over the years. In fact, the second single from his most recent album It’s Almost Dry was called “Neck & Wrist.” The song featured an appearance from Jay-Z, a fact that coincidentally aligns with the newest piece of bling Push has taken to social media to show off.

His newest piece is a pendant made in the shape of a anchor. He took to his Instagram story to show off the new piece which had fans pretty impressed. While many were already aware of the picture of a young Jay-Z sporting a similar chain, they didn’t need to speculate for long. Push was open about his inspiration for the new piece in his very next post. He shared the picture of Jay-Z in question with the caption “the inspo.” Fans also pointed out that Jay references the chain directly in the lyrics of the DJ Premier-produced intro to his 1997 album In My Lifetime, Vol. 1. Last month, Pusha T celebrated the anniversary of his newest release It’s Almost Dry. He both paid tribute to the record, but also looked forward to what he has coming next. He promised fans that he has “so much” new material on the way soon. He’s yet to release any new singles of his own this year, only appearing for a guest verse on Ray Vaughn’s song “Problems.” Any guess on a potential release date for a new album is purely speculative, though fans are hoping that it drops this year.

Nelly and Ashanti’s rekindled romance has been one of the most surprising and delightful stories of 2024 so far. Following a few weeks of rumors bubbling up the pair sparked a full on public romance all over again. That was marked by various appearances on each other’s social media and even a recent ad campaign that featured the couple adorably sharing information from far away. That advertisement was centered around the other major story that has followed the pair throughout the year, Ashanti’s pregnancy.

The couple were seemingly subject to pregnancy rumors just about as soon as they began dating again. Those rumors followed the couple for a few weeks while they did things like post each other on social media for Valentine’s day. Eventually they confirmed things in April when they came out publicly with the announcement. In a one-two punch that fans weren’t expecting they also announced that they were getting engaged. One seemingly rude comment on Nelly and Ashanti’s situation came on Instagram. It was from a fan who took it upon themselves to decide whether or not they were the “Haynes family.” In their view they were more than Haynes/Douglas family as Ashanti hasn’t taking on the rapper’s last name. Thankfully he came through quickly to correct the situation and reassure both the presumptive fans and everyone else that they’re the Haynes family going forward. In the comments, fans point out that there’s a strange amount of aggression for the couple online despite their seemingly quite wholesome relationship.

Rick Ross Claims He’s Applied For A Zoo License To Buy Exotic Animals

Rick Ross is at the heart of many of the of the strangest stories in recent rap history. His tendency to film nearly everything he does has heightened his eccentricities and led fans to pay close attention every time he comes up. They were rewarded for that just earlier this week when he was roasted online for a strange video where he tries one of Bun B’s vegan burgers. Now he’s shared yet another video making some attention grabbing claims about a license he just applied for. In the middle of an extensive series of recent Instagram stories he addresses his fans directly.

He revealed to them that he’s applied for a zoo license. Before fans could even ask why, he answered their questions, or at least tried to. He claimed that he plans on ordering giraffes and elephants once he gets the license. In the comments fans try and make sense of his claims. “Drake done made this man a zookeeper. ” one fan jokes, conjuring Ross’ swift exit from his beef with Drake earlier this year. Other fans come at it with a more logical explanation. “If you don’t understand this is a tax break . Every animal etc is more deducible . A “zoo” get a lot of write offs so . When you see rich ppl getting certain animals it’s a tax break for the long run” one fan claims. “He’s doing this for taxes purposes” another agrees. Drake Seemingly Moved On From The Kendrick Lamar Beef By Deleting The Diss Songs From His Instagram Page

Yesterday marked one month since hip-hop fans received the last entry in Kendrick Lamar and Drake’s rapid fire rap beef that took a turn for chaos starting at the end of April. That last entry was Drake’s “The Heart Part 6,” which references Kendrick’s long-running freestyle series. Since that diss was released, fans and critics alike crowned Kendrick Lamar as the winner of the rap as he also went on hit No. 1 with “Not Like Us.” It remains to be seen if either rapper will toss out another diss, but it seems likely that it won’t be Drake after he removed all his Kendrick Lamar disses from his Instagram page.

Fans noticed that Drake quietly removed the diss songs, which include “Push Ups,” “Family Matters,” and “The Heart Part 6,” from his Instagram page on Wednesday. The move also came with a new post and cryptic message. “The only yes man around me is my Rolex dealer,” Drake wrote under pictures of himself in his Toronto mansion. It’s not the first time that Drake deleted a song during his beef with Kendrick. Back in April, Drake was forced to remove his “Taylor Made Freestyle,” which featured AI rap verse from Tupac and Snoop Dogg, after the former’s estate issued a cease & desist letter that threatened to sue Drake for using Tupac’s voice without permission.

Coincidentally (or maybe not), Drake deleted the Instagram posts the same day that Kendrick Lamar announced “The Pop Out — Ken & Friends” concert with pgLang and Free Lunch at LA’s Kia Forum on June 19, aka Juneteenth. That performance could add another page to Kendrick Lamar-Drake rap beef story.

Metro Boomin Teases “Savage Mode III” Despite 21 Savage Tensions

Metro Boomin has lots of friends in the industry. The producer has ascended up the food chain in the 2020s, and become one of the most popular collaborators in hip-hop. His solo albums are a who’s who when it comes to modern day superstars. Drake is the big exception to this rule. Metro declared war on the 6 God with “Like That,” and well, the rest is history. It’s hard to imagine Metro and Drake ever being cool again. The relationship that fans are worried about is between Metro and 21 Savage. Let Metro tell it, though, and things are good as ever.

Metro Boomin hopped on X (formerly Twitter) on June 5 to tease new music. He’s already confirmed that he has tracks cooking with The Weeknd and JID, but he teased the anticipated, hallowed Savage Mode III instead. The producer posted a video of an unreleased instrumental, and X user Crew Shiesty retweeted it. “I ain’t gonna hold you,” he wrote. “This sounds like Savage Mode III.” There hasn’t been confirmation from Metro or 21, but the internet did what the internet does and ran with it. DJ Akademiks reposted the X exchange on Instagram, furthering adding to the hype.

If this snippet is in fact from Savage Mode III, than Metro Boomin and 21 Savage have managed to dodge a bullet. The two artists came down on different sides of the Drake beef, with Metro being against and 21 trying to stand with both sides. The rapper even got on Instagram Live to assure fans that everything will eventually smooth over. “Don’t keep coming on my motherf*ckin’ Live talkin’ about motherf*ckin’ beef,” he told fans. “Metro my brother and Drake my brother. They gonna figure that sh*t out eventually.”

21 Savage and Metro Boomin got into a heated exchange during another Instagram Live. The latter went in the comment section and dubbed 21 “OVO Savage,” which led the rapper to kick him out. Savage then used the infamous Drake insult from “Push Ups,” and told Metro to shut his h*e a*s up and “make some drums.” This is the exchange that led fans to question whether the tension from the Drake situation had boiled over into their friendship. Hopefully the Savage Mode III rumors are true, and we get this dynamic duo back together.
