Michael Jackson’s Three Kids Enjoy Snow Day

Amid the holiday season, families everywhere are looking for good times to spend together, even the most famous ones. Michael Jackson’s three children Paris, Prince, and Bigi went for a snow day together in Tahoe.

Michael Jackson spent his final days in the house that Hadid had originally built and that Jackson leased for $100,000 a month from the current owner. While people’s interest is natural, it also speaks to MJ’s lasting impact and influence as a pop culture icon. Moreover, his 1982 album Thriller returned to the Billboard Top 10 a couple of weeks ago.

Paris, 24, wore a brown puffer coat with a matching vest. She also donned another color combo: burgundy pants with gloves. Meanwhile, the 25-year-old Prince wore a black jacket and trousers with a helmet-clad ski mask. Bigi, who is 20, also wore a black jacket and combined it with black trousers.

All in all, they had some fun times on December 26th. Moreover, Paris posted some clips to her Instagram story of some struggles on the snow. She fell off of her snowboard in the clip, captioning it with “Can’t stop… like properly.”

Even with all the fun and staying busy with projects, like Paris’s music career, they still remember their dad. On Halloween this year, Prince spoke to E! News about honoring the King of Pop’s legacy every day, as an artist and father.

“I have photos of him and the uncles inside my house,” he expressed, “I have artistic paintings of him around my house. I like to lead my life with love, which is what he taught me and I try to help at least one person a day and I feel like that is a way of continuing his legacy.”

Meanwhile, these children also have his music to cherish and celebrate his life through. Prince stated that he feels his father coming through in his music in a way that feels more intimate than you’d expect.

“I was given so many awesome nuggets of information when I had him with me as a father and he was also very personable in the way he wrote his music,” he said. “If you listen to it, there’s a lot of him in that. It’s awesome to put it on and feel connected to him again in that way.”

Ludacris Inspires Fans With New Year’s Eve Video

Ludacris has been living his best life in recent years. After taking a break from music, the Atlanta bred star took his talents to the big screen and behind the camera.

As 2022 comes to an end, the “Move” rapper penned a motivational message for fans while lounging in a hot tub in the snow. “Cheers to 2023,” he shared. “Wishing everybody love, peace, happiness, and challenging y’all to do some new sh*t in the new year that you ain’t never did before. I love y’all. Cheers.” The caption reads: “Let The Past Be The PAST.”

Ludacris is jo stranger to trying to new things. Earlier this year, he earned an honorary Bachelor of Science in Music Management degree at Georgia State University.  He also made a seamless switch from rapping to acting when many people doubted his abilities. “When you come into it as a rapper,” he told Las Vegas Weekly, “people have a certain idea about you in the first place. So you have to go hard to not be looked at as some form of your regular everyday character.”

Last year, he created an animated series based on his eldest daughter, Karma. The Netflix series is based on real-life situations that Karma actually went through and tackles topics like self esteem. No stranger to encouraging others, Luda gave his 21-year old daughter advice on embracing her unique qualities as a young, Black girl.

“[I told her] there’s a creator that made us all with unique qualities, and you have to embrace those qualities — and that she comes from a long lineage of strong Black hair.”

As for his acting career, Luda says he likes to challenge people’s expectations of him. “I like to do the opposite of what people expect me to do” he told Las Vegas Weekly. “And I love doing that and continuing to grow and expand my acting résumé.”  Check out Luda’s end of the year inspo below.

Snoop Dogg Says He Helped A Company Earn A $100M Valuation

Snoop Dogg says that he once helped a company reach a $100 million valuation by posting them on his Instagram page. He recalled the story during a recent appearance on the 85 South Comedy Show.

Initially, Snoop explained that he didn’t see Instagram as something that he could profit from.

“Look at this shit, I can just post anything,” Snoop began. “Then I say, ‘Oh wait a minute. I can just post some shit I’m selling or some shit I want you to show up to, or some shit I’m promoting or a positive message, or some shit I’m trying to get off.’ Then, I started thinking like a businessman.”

“Then the n****s from Instagram do an interview and say, ‘Hey man, our company was regular until one celebrity got behind it, and then we became a $100 million company. That celebrity was Snoop Dogg,’” he explained.

Snoop says didn’t get paid anything for the endorsement but has since learned his lesson.

He continued: “I didn’t have the game to get a piece of the pie … Now we know better. You know better, you do better. So, moving forward to the brothers and sisters out there watching, when you [are] valuable, know your value. Ask for equity. Ask for a piece of the pie. Don’t just take that little snap back that they want to throw you up front. You want a piece of the pie to make sure that you get a piece of it after it continues to grow. If you grew a brand, you should be a part of the brand.”

Despite the rookie mistake, Snoop has proven to be quite the businessman over his career. Earlier this year, he purchased Death Row Records and is reviving the label.

Brownstone’s Nicci Gilbert Takes Down Awards From Tory Lanez’s “Say It”

Brownstone member Nicci Gilbert says that she’s taking down all the awards she earned from Tory Lanez’s “Say It” in support of Megan Thee Stallion. The track samples Brownstone’s 1994 hit song “If You Love Me.”

“I’m taking these awards down in protest of violence against women. I will not tolerate it under any circumstances,” Gilbert wrote in a post on Instagram.

She continued: “It’s a shame that our community is so broken that we relentlessly attack victims, but I get it. Hurt people hurt people.”

“I pray for Tory as an advocate for artists and creatives,” she wrote before adding, “Tory is a young black man, who became super famous very quickly. This made him a talented creative who lacked the emotional intelligence and development needed to navigate that kind of success. He made a very poor decision, but I believe he will come out of this a better man and artist.”

Gilbert further said: “The artists you see as a windfall are falling hard, and the impact on our community is devastating. Artists have too much access to too many people, who are triggered in one way or another by their successes and failures.”

Additionally, Gilbert says that she’s filing paperwork to return money from the “Say It” single.

Released back in 2015, “Say It” remains one of the most successful songs of Lanez’s career. As his second-highest charting solo track, it peaked at No. 23 on the Billboard Hot 100. Altogether, it spent 24 weeks on the chart.

Lanez is facing 22 years in prison as well as deportation to Canada for the 2020 shooting. A jury in Los Angeles found him guilty of three charges in connection to the attack on Friday. He is currently awaiting sentencing.

Juelz Santana Announces New Album With DJ Drama

Juelz Santana says that he and DJ Drama will be releasing a new album together. The New York rapper announced the project, We In Motion, on Instagram, earlier this week. He says that it will be releasing sometime in the new year.

“We In Motion… The Album…Top Of The Year…long Time Coming #ICFMF #BackOutSide,” Santana captioned the post.

We In Motion will be Santana’s first album since 2020’s #FREESANTANA. That project featured Jim Jones, Dave East, 2 Chainz, Belly, Lil Wayne, Jeremih and A Boogie wit da Hoodie.

A full list of features for the new album is unclear; however, last month, Santana teased the project in a video that showed him listening to A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie in the studio. He also shared a new song with Benny The Butcher back in August. Funkmaster Flex had challenged him to release new music.

In addition to his We In Motion, Santana also recently teased releasing his long-awaited collaborative album with Lil Wayne. Speaking with TMZ, he explained that the two are always working on music.

“All I’m a say is, Wayne is my brother,” he said at the time. “We are never not working on music outside of each other, as well as together, so for us to do a I Can’t Feel My Face project is definitely not unlikely to happen.”

As for why the project never released, Santana recently blamed it on label “politics” while speaking with VladTV.

“You had Def Jam, Universal, Cash Money and Diplomats,” he said. “Four different entities that had to come upon an agreement and come under one accord to push a project.”

Benny The Butcher Defends Violent Rap Lyrics

Benny The Butcher took to his Instagram Story, Thursday, to defend rap lyrics from critics who feel they’re too violent. The Griselda rapper argues that the same people wouldn’t listen to the music if it were positive.

Writing over a black screen, Benny instructed haters to “shut the fuck up.”

“Most people who say rap is violent or don’t like rappers talking about drugs WILL NOT listen to [that] same rapper if he/she makes what they deem to be positive music,” he wrote. “so shut the fuck up and leave it to the people who like it.”

The statement comes after Benny and his Black Soprano Family shared their latest single, “SAINT MAURICE,” on Friday.

Benny is far from the only rapper to take a stance on violence in rap music as of late. With the prosecution in Young Thug’s upcoming trial planning to use his lyrics as evidence, the topic has been on many people’s minds.

50 Cent gave his take on the matter during his Hip Hop Homicides show.

“I think it’s the same energy but we’re in a different period so it looks different,” he said. “It’s gonna happen where everyone can take a look on camera. When Nipsey gets killed, for the first time they saw him get killed.”

He continued: “Because of social media, everyone’s involved now. Because those kids in middle America are clicking the fucking button to look and are fascinated with the killings because they’re living on a side so wild compared to the conservative lifestyle they’re having.”

Other artists with songs selected by Obama include Bad Bunny, Burna Boy, Zach Bryan, SZA, and Lizzo, among others.

Ethel Cain reacted to her inclusion on the list in a tweet posted on Friday: “Did not have a former president including my anti-war, anti-patriotism fake pop song on his year end list on my 2022 bingo.”

“The neighbor’s brother came home in a box/ But he wanted to go so maybe it was his fault/ Another red heart taken by the American dream,” Cain sings on “American Teenager.”

In addition to his favorite music, the former President also shared his top picks for the best movies and books of 2022.

Meek Mill Reacts To Judge Who Sentenced Him Getting In Trouble For Misconduct

Whether it’s immediately or years after the fact, you can always depend on karma coming to bite you in some way. Meek Mill’s former judge learned that this week, as authorities stripped her of over 50 cases she was presiding over. Mill excitedly shared the news via Instagram and wrote a pretty emblematic caption.

PHILADELPHIA, PA – NOVEMBER 03: Meek Mill pumps up the crowd prior to Game 5 of the 2022 World Series between the Houston Astros and the Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens Bank Park on Thursday, November 3, 2022 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. (Photo by Mary DeCicco/MLB Photos via Getty Images)

“The judge who sentenced Meek Mill to 4 years for doing a wheelie on a dirt bike had her criminal cases stripped,” the post read. “+50 of her cases were terminated by another judge over 2 days.” For those unfamiliar, stripping a case usually refers to a judge’s inadequate job of properly attending the case. While this suggested many different things, Meek clearly interpreted it as payback for the way she handled his case.

“For motivation use only -standing at the scratch line,” he wrote as a caption to the post. In addition to that caption, he also shared various pictures of himself during his legal processes. Although it’s Meek’s post, he decided to let “GRATEFUL” by DJ Khaled and Vory in the background.

Meanwhile, the Philly rapper has a lot to be grateful for, and acted to give that gratitude back. As cofounder of REFORM Alliance, he paid bail for twenty incarcerated women to be with their families for the holidays. Also, this comes after the organization’s Season of Giving events in New York City, Brooklyn, and Philadelphia. Alongside partnerships with Nike, sports teams, and many others, they supported and championed children negatively affected by the justice system.

“It was devastating for me to be away from my son during the holidays when I was incarcerated, “ Meek said in a statement. “So I understand what these women and their families are going through. No one should have to spend the holidays in jail simply because they can’t afford bail. I’m grateful for the opportunity to help these women be with their families and loved ones during this special time of year.”

Peyton Manning Speaks On Ronnie Hillman’s Passing

Peyton Manning spent some amazing seasons with the Denver Broncos. During that time, he had numerous phenomenal teammates. One of those men was none other than Ronnie Hillman. Overall, they were a great tandem, with both men winning championships in 2016.

Unfortunately, Hillman passed away on Wednesday night from cancer. He was only 31 years old. Cancer is a truly horrible disease, and it took away an amazing person way too soon. Subsequently, numerous former teammates took to social media to eulogize Hillman.

Peyton Manning Reacts

Among the teammates who spoke out was none other than Peyton Manning. He was the leader of those Broncos teams and he worked with Hillman directly. Overall, Broncos fans were waiting to hear from the legendary QB, who always provides perspective in these moments.

“Rest in peace Ronnie,” Manning said. “We joined the Broncos the same year. Honored to be your teammate for four years in Denver. Great player, great person, great smile. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.”

Hillman passed away just one day after legendary Steelers player Franco Harris. This week has been tragic for the NFL fraternity, and our heart goes out to all of the people and families who have been affected.
