NLE Choppa Reveals A Few Of His Favourite Things On “I Like”: Listen

If anyone deserves an award for consistently showing up throughout 2022, it’s NLE Choppa. From January’s Me vs. Me project to singles like “Yak Flow,” “Slut Me Out,” and “Apart From You,” the rapper has proven to his fans that he’s got no shortage of talent and passion for his craft.

Most recently, the 20-year-old dropped off a track called “I Like,” on which he accordingly reveals a roster of his favourite things throughout his lyrics.

“I like cars that go, ‘Vroom, vroom’ / I like bitches that go— / ‘Fore I cuff that bitch, gotta throw that ass back,” Choppa tells listeners on the chorus. “I like money that go, ‘Ching, ching’ / I like diamonds that go, ‘Bling, bling.’”

Prior to his latest release, the Memphis native made waves with his “Ice Spice” song in November. When the Bronx artist the track is named after got wind of it, she was quick to share her thoughts on Twitter.

“N*gga feenin gotta plat it cool,” the “Bikini Bottom” hitmaker wrote at the time. In a since-deleted tweet, Choppa later responded, “What Jayda said, these n*ggas been on my bodyyyyyy.”

Other successful titles to come from the Tennessee-born artist include “FAITHFUL” with Macklemore and his beloved collaboration with 2Rare on “Do It Again.” Since making its debut in early October, the latter has been streamed over 27 million times on Spotify alone.

Quotable Lyrics:

Okay, fill the bowl up full of shake, he bought it, n*gga, no way
Finger f*ck the K before I pop ’em, call it foreplay
Like Central Cee, how can I be homophobic? My stick gay
It like to touch n*ggas before I do, ayy, man, my shit cray

NLE Choppa Indulges In His Opulence On His New Single, ‘I Like’

Over the course of the past year, NLE Choppa has put out several bangers. From the Rose Royce-sampling “Do It Again,” to “Ice Spice,” which features his shouting out the namesake Bronx rapper, Choppa is proving to have the Midas touch in the booth. On his newest single, “I Like,” Choppa reaps the fruits of his labor.

On the song’s chorus, the Memphis rapper lists off several of the things that bring him joy, including, “cars that go vroom vroom,” “money that go ching-ching,” and “diamonds that go bling bling.”

The accompanying video sees Choppa throwing a very wild house party, complete with a basketball throwdown, champagne popping, and twerking by the swimming pool.

Back in January, Choppa spoke with The Breakfast Club about meditation and how its helped him in his spiritual journey.

“I feel like when you blow up, you get introduced to drugs, jewelry, money, sex. Everything that you want, but nothing you need. And I just realized, internally it was something I needed deeper than that, that my soul was happy with.” Choppa said. “I was at my lowest.”

This week, he took to Twitter announcing a big milestone he’s reached in his transformation.

“At my final stage of detachment,” Choppa said. “Proud to say this some of y’all last year knowing me, EVER.”

Rubi Rose Gets Freaky At A Family Dinner In Her Scandelous Video For ‘I Like’

Rubi Rose has forged a path of her own in the music world after she began her career back in 2019. Prior to that, she initially gained fame for being the main model in Migos’ music video for “Bad And Boujee.” Over the years, Rose has grown her fan base and legitimized her position as a female rapper through solid releases like her debut project, 2020’s For The Streets which presented songs with PartyNextDoor, Future, and Cardi B. After a quiet 2021, Rubi is back in action with her brand new single, “I Like.”

On the new track, Rubi lists the things she enjoys in a man, whether it be their appearance, personality, or the way they treat her. The song also arrives with a matching visual. In it, Rubi is sitting at the dinner table with her family when they ask her what she likes in a man. Initially reluctant to answer the question, Rubi offers a raunchy response that also finds her twerking on the table and showing off her assets.

Rubi’s latest release comes after she appeared on “Nasty,” a raunchy collaboration between herself, Latto, Rich The Kid, and Flo Milli. Last year, she was also selected to the 2021 XXL Freshman Class list alongside names like 42 Dugg, Blxst, Pooh Shiesty, and more.
