Chrisean Rock Under Fire For Using Baby Carrier Improperly

Chrisean Rock has been under fire as of late after a fan spotted her at Walmart with her newborn son. They managed to sneak a video of the reality star, which has now sparked a great deal of debate. In the clip, the infant is seen strapped into a baby carrier on his mother’s chest. Social media users were quick to note how he doesn’t look properly supported by the device, and appears to be hanging in an uncomfortable and potentially unsafe position.

Countless viewers are now expressing concern for the newborn, and accusing the 23-year-old of being an unfit mother. “This looks really bad,” one Instagram commenter writes. “The baby has no support and is supposed to be more secure.” While some are going in on Chrisean, others are coming to the new mother’s defense. “You can support instead of criticizing,” a commenter notes.

Chrisean Rock Criticized For The Way Chrisean Jr. Is Hanging Off Of Her

Though it’s clear that adapting to motherhood can be challenging, it doesn’t look like social media users will be letting this one slide. Unfortunately, this also isn’t the first time Chrisean’s been accused of making the wrong move since her son’s arrival. She’s been facing some criticism for choosing to take the newborn out in public so early in his life, especially since his celebrity parent is sure to draw attention. Chrisean’s also raised some eyebrows by featuring Chrisean Jr. in music videos, bringing him along to the studio with her, and more.

Cardi B Breaks Silence On Kenneth Petty House Arrest Ruling

Recently, Cardi B and Nicki Minaj have been involved in a sort of proxy beef. The pair did have their moment all the way back in 2018 when they beefed directly spawning from their collaboration on the Migos song “MotorSport.” Since then they haven’t engaged each other directly very much. That hasn’t stopped fans from continuing to compare the two artist’s success to each other. But earlier this month they got about as close as they ever have to re-starting the beef.

That came when their husbands, Offset and Kenneth Petty respectively, started off a beef of their own. Cardi and Nicki haven’t said much directly, merely standing behind their men. But the boys have taken much more direct shots at each other, with something Petty said even reaching the point of threatening Offset. As a result, a house arrest sentence he was recently released from was reinstated as the threat violated the terms of his release. That spawned new responses from just about everyone involved, including Cardi.

Cardi B Speaks On Kenneth Petty House Arrest

“EXACTLY KEEP ME AND MY MANS OUT YALL F*CKING MOUTH!!!” Cardi B said in a new tweet responding to the situation. In the comments of a repost of the tweet fans mostly took Cardi’s side. “Yea like what cardi look like calling his p.o or offset he did this on the World Wide Web,” one of the top comment reads. “This situation making me realize y’all really have some weird hatred towards Cardi B. Like damn she popping that bad she have so many haters,” another agrees.

Elsewhere in the comments, fans discuss why the beef between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj even exists. “you would think after 5 years everybody would move on,” another one of the top comments reads. Cardi’s newest single “Bongos” with Megan Thee Stallion just debuted in the top 15 on the Hot 100. Nicki Minaj’s new album Pink Friday 2 is expected later this year. New Jersey’s Hushlife Boutique Celebrated Grand Reopening With AVIA Collaborative Shoe Drop

The Hushlife Boutique celebrated its grand re-opening this past weekend with grand festivities. Prior to their relocation, they were at the 10 Grand Ave address for over eight years.

To usher in a new era for Hushlife, the interior was entirely designed by the company president and designer Nicole Dipinto. The design was inspired by Japanese streetwear boutiques to give a customer a sense of discovering a hidden gem of a shop.

Hushlife celebrated their collaborative release with AVIA called the Legacy Summer Scoops. The Merch pack was designed by Hush founder Ramon Blackburn and the creative director Tavon Davis. It featured three colorways of Avia Legacy’s 855 silhouette: Mint, Cotton Candy, and Volt. The merch pack also featured two t-shirts. 
Notable guests who showed support at the event were the legendary rapper AZ, Kim Osorio, heavy-hitter DJ Pretty Lou, Chris Atlas, Ron Stew, and DMV rapper Big Cruz. DJ Enuff and DJ D Prizzy provided the music for the event and ice cream was provided by Mikey Likes It.

Today In Hip Hop History: De La Soul’s ‘Buhloone Mindstate’ LP Turns 30 Years Old!

On this date in 1993, De La Soul dropped their third full-length studio album, Buhloone Mindstate.

The legendary Long Island Hip Hop trio known as De La Soul showed and proved that the third time was the charm when they released their Buhloone Mindstate album two years after their oxymoronic De La Soul Is Dead LP. Marketed and promoted by Tommy Boy Records for DSL’s third time around, Buhloone Mindstate flew pretty much under the radar but still managed to make 10th on comedian Chris Rock’s Top 25 hip-hop albums of all time as published by Rolling Stone magazine.

The most familiar single would be “Breakadawn,” which features the unforgettable samples from Michael Jackson’s “I Can’t Help It” and Smokey Robinson’s “Quiet Storm.” Even the late great Guru from Gangstarr appeared on “Patti Dooke,” making this project one of the most well-rounded LPs from the three Plugs.

What Did Nicki Minaj’s Husband Kenneth Petty Say To Offset?

It looks like rap beef is a family affair. Today, legal affairs journalist Meghann Cuniff (aka “Meghann Thee Reporter” for her role in reporting Tory Lanez’s trial for shooting Megan Thee Stallion) reported that Kenneth Petty, Nicki Minaj’s husband, was ordered to serve 120 days on house arrest for making threats against Cardi B and Offset.

Technically, Petty was in violation of his probation agreement for failing to register as a sex offender when he and Nicki moved to Los Angeles in 2019. After he agreed to a plea deal in 2021, he was sentenced to three years of probation. His specific violation was recorded as “making threatening remarks toward a specific individual while in the company of someone with a criminal record.” So…

What Did Kenneth Petty Say To Offset?

Last weekend, Petty and some friends — at least one of whom apparently has a criminal record — recorded themselves walking around in New York City taunting Offset. Offset and Cardi were apparently staying at a hotel in the neighborhood, prompting Petty to post the tough-talking videos wondering, “Offset, where you at? We outside… Stay on that vacation before we planning ya’ funeral p*ssy. Always been a street n****.”

Although what exactly prompted all this remains unclear, the entire fiasco supposedly originated at the recent 2023 MTV VMAs, which both Cardi B and Nicki Minaj attended. The tension between the two women is well-documented, but it was their husbands who allegedly took up the feud. One of Petty’s allies claimed that it all started when Offset DMed him on Instagram asking, “Where you located?”

This was apparently in response to threats against Cardi from either Petty or his friends. Fans speculated online that this is what prompted Cardi to tweet, “I ain’t even flinch.” She’s since deleted the tweet but as usual, fans on Twitter have been stoking the beef ever since. Certainly the news that Petty has been punished by the court was well received by Cardi herself, though:
