IDK Puts In Work In New LA Leakers Freestyle

Though IDK can definitely spit bars, having proven as much time and again, the rapper tends to operate as a visionary first. Sometimes, the song simply doesn’t call for spazzing out, and IDK will prioritize whatever will most benefit the album as a whole. Still, the rapper can hold his own, and today he hit up the LA Leakers (who have been on a murderous tear these days) to issue a reminder of how he gets down behind the mic.

Over Brent Faiyaz and Drake’s “Wasting Time,” IDK wastes little time in catching a stride. “Look at my past, and look at all of the people that I passed,” he begins. “Reminiscing about days they used to laugh / these days I hit 105 and do the dash / on accident, didn’t know this car was that fast / my biggest fear is reaching my limits to go and crash / that’s figuratively, who’s the best new rapper, I figured it’s me.”

He proceeds to make a compelling case, bringing a subtle intensity to the laid-back instrumental as he strings together a relentless verse. Check it out for yourself, and if you like what you hear, show IDK some love by checking out his new album USEE4YOURSELF right here.

QUOTABLE LYRICS

That’s figuratively, who’s the best new rapper, I figured it’s me
Think about it, most these n***as focused on writtens and beats
That’s cute, I do the same shit while running the streets
Running my label, running my staff, and still can compete

Coi Leray Says She’s The “Best New Artist” But Her Comments Disagree

The people commenting on Coi Leray’s social media profiles seemingly don’t want to see her win because after the rising star called herself the “best new artist,” hundreds of haters slid into her comments to tell her that they disagree.

The rapper has been facing a lot of slander as of late — even more than usual — following her cypher for the XXL Freshman list. She spit some bars alongside Morray, DDG, and Lakeyah but people weren’t feeling her flows. She didn’t give the people much to work with, only going for about thirty seconds before repeating her now-infamous “we all get money” line and twerking, and the critics won’t let her live it all down. When she claimed she was the best new artist this week, Coi was met with a bunch of comments from fans who think there are more deserving names for that title.

“Cap that freestyle was hotdog water,” said the top commenter. “Who lied to you,” asked another fan. Scrolling through the comments section, you’ll have a difficult time finding anything positive — it really feels like Coi Leray has become rap’s favorite punching bag.

Despite all of the recent rudeness in her comments, Coi seems to be elevating higher than before, preparing her debut album for release in the coming months. This is the most attention that Coi has ever gotten and she’s making sure she does what it takes to continue riling up her detractors.

What do you think? Is Coi Leray “best new artist” or nah?

Hulu’s “Wu-Tang: An American Saga” Unveils Cast For Season 2

Back in 2019, RZA brought a televised drama about the formation of the Wu-Tang Clan to Hulu, and the show quickly became a success. Starring Ashton Sanders, Shameik Moore, Dave East, and Joey Bada$$, the first season of Wu-Tang: An American Saga largely focused on life pre-Wu for some of Hip-Hop’s most iconic emcees.

Set to release on September 8, Season 2 will be centered around the recording process behind the group’s classic debut studio album, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). And now, fans who have been clamoring for new details surrounding the show can rest easy because the cast of Season 2 of Wu-Tang: An American Saga has been revealed, with plenty of surprises.

New additions to this season include Masta Killa and U God, who will be portrayed by JaQwan J. Kelly and Damani D. Sease, respectively. Furthermore, Mathematics, who famously designed the Wu-Tang Clan’s iconic logo, has been added as a new recurring character for Season 2, and Curtiss Cook Jr will play him on the show. However, the biggest surprises for Wu-Tang: An American Saga‘s cast reveal have to deal with the absence of two actors.

In the show’s Instagram unveiling of all the Wu-Tang members this season, Caleb Castille’s character Cappadonna was noticeably absent from the line-up. He already played a small role in the first season, so fans who are hoping for him to have a larger presence in the second season may not need to hold their breath.

Furthermore, It was was revealed that Joey Bada$$ is no longer the actor for Inspectah Deck. Perhaps it’s due to his new role on 50 Cent’s Power Book III: Raising Kanan that the Badmon won’t be reprising his role as the legendary Wu-Tang member; regardless of the reason, the show has instead tapped Uyoata Udi for the role.

Its official trailer has still yet to drop, so stay tuned for updates on the second season of Hulu’s Wu-Tang: An American Saga.

James Harden’s Comments About Giannis Re-Surface After Milwaukee Bucks’ Win

Sports fans are not individuals who forget easily. Grudges and team rivalries can span multiple decades if fans are passionate enough. Particularly with NBA basketball, a league driven by personal narratives and storylines, comments about other players are not taken lightly at all. Early in 2020, Brooklyn Nets shooting guard James Harden, then a Houston Rocket, took a jab at now Finals MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo for his physical talents on the basketball court that seemingly take no skill to use, according to Harden.

“I wish I could be 7-feet, run and just dunk, that takes no skill at all,”Harden said in video interview with ESPN’s Rachel Nichols. “I gotta actually learn how to play basketball and how to have skill. I’ll take that any day.”

Well, following the Bucks’ championship win on Tuesday night and the crowning of Giannis as Finals MVP, fans quickly took to Twitter to bring up Harden’s year-old comments to rub it in. It doesn’t help Harden’s case that Giannis and the Bucks knocked his new Brooklyn Nets team, backed by Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant and considered a heavy title favorite throughout the year, out of the playoffs in the second round.

Check out some of the hilarious tweets below.

DaniLeigh Reveals Baby Gender

Singer and dancer DaniLeigh has been making a splash on social media this week with her back-to-back bomb maternity photos.

The 26-year-old stripped down for multiple photoshoots, smartly staggering the release of each on her Instagram to drive up engagement. The first set, stunning poses by a waterfall in the Dominican Republic, has garnered over a million likes to date. After that, Dani went all the way to the opposite end of the spectrum with full glam, and then proceeded to run back in the other direction with a fully nude shoot.

On Wednesday, the star dropped the flicks from her latest photoshoot revealing the gender of her child in the process. DaniLeigh posed topless in an unbuttoned pink silky blazer and matching pants in a garden with pink flowers for her baby girl. She captioned the set, “its a ….” with a variety of pink heart emojis.

Fans suspected DaniLeigh was having a girl due to her shares showing off her glamorous pink-themed outdoor baby shower last Saturday. After dropping the photoset on Wednesday, the singer flooded her story with fun videos from the weekend dancing the night away under pink lights.

While DaniLeigh has publicly answered one question, the paternity of her child is still being kept under wraps. Fans continued to press the issue in the comments one fan sharing, “yayyyyy congratulations that man only make girls”– referring to her ex-boyfriend DaBaby’s two daughters.

DaBaby has not commented on the paternity of DaniLeigh’s child but caused a stir when he liked her maternity photo as we reported last week.

Check out the latest reveal below.
