Her tenure as the First Lady may have come to an end, but Michelle Obama remains an inspiration to many. She’s shared her story with the world in the form of a candid memoir, Becoming, and she recently caught up with Dwyane Wade’s daughter and Gabrielle Union’s stepdaughter, Zaya, for a virtual interview. Zaya has made headlines after coming out as transgender at 12-years-old and the Wades have endured backlash from the public. They’ve remained a steadfast unit against the naysayers and Zaya has been thriving over the past year as she grows more comfortable with sharing her journey.

Zaya asked the former First Lady if she had any advice for “teens who want to be themselves and thrive like you have and currently are.” Michelle flipped the script on the 13-year-old and said, “And like you have and currently are.” Obama added, “You know, I am just so proud of you for being just an amazing role model and embracing your truth, right? You’re already doing this, so maybe this is for some other young people that are listening.”

“It does take time to know what ‘yourself’ is for young people,” said Michelle. “So, my first piece of advice is: be patient with yourself, number one. At your age, or in the teenage years and probably through your 20s, you’re gonna be experimenting with so many versions of yourself. All young people are trying on different versions, different voices, they’re learning more about their intellect, they’re learning about what they love, what they’re good at, what they like—this is the period of exploration.”

She added that often, adults put teens under too much pressure to know who they want to be in life, too soon. Michelle said a question she “hated” was, “What are you going to be when you grow up?” She said, “How am I supposed to—I’m thirteen! I’m twelve! You’re not supposed to know yet.” Michelle advised young people “to give yourself space and time to learn and grow.” A good little bit of advice for any age. Check out the clip below.

The Nike Air Force 1 Low is the model everyone prefers and recently, Nike has delivered the Air Force 1 Shadow which is a low-top silhouette but with more layered materials.

The latest colorway of the Nike Air Force 1 Shadow to be announced is the model which can be found below. This particular colorway has gold and silver swooshes on top of a classic-looking white leather base. All of these elements come together in a really great way especially as silver and gold elements are also found on the back heel. If you are looking for an Air Force 1 that goes beyond the basic all-white or all-black, these are a great way to go.

From the moment Apryl Jones strolled onto the scene for VH1 Family Reunion: Love & Hip Hop Edition, Trick Daddy Dollars was paying attention to her moves. The reality show has reinvented itself by gathering together various members of its hit franchises for a family reunion-styled retreat where they talk out any differences and find new unity. Trick Daddy acts as the patriarch of the group as he has helped facilitate the vacation, but his funny remarks about Apryl can’t go unnoticed.

Apryl, of course, gained wide popularity on the show due to her relationship with Omarion and her recent romance with O’s B2K groupmate, Fizz. Now that her relationship with Fizz has…well, fizzled out…it’s reported that Apryl and Dr. Dre may have something going on. Prior to the world learning about that last bit of news, Trick Daddy was on set with Apryl shooting his shot.

In the scene, Trick asks Apryl about the types of men she likes. “Apryl probably think that I’m ho-ish, but she’s a very fine eye candy specimen of a woman,” he said in a green screen interview. He also mentioned that he watched Apryl’s workouts every morning and invited her to his restaurant in Florida.

Trick pulls out all of his playa-playa lines and even told her she has “everything in the right place” as he put on a little pressure. Still, it doesn’t look as if Apryl was feeling it. Check out the chuckle-worthy clip below.

Colin Cowherd always seems to give Baker Mayfield a hard time, no matter what it is he’s getting up to. This was especially the case on Thursday after Mayfield revealed that he had spotted a UFO while out with his wife. Fans were waiting on Cowherd to come through with a bizarre take on the whole thing and that is exactly what he did as he brought Tom Brady into all of it.

“Joe Montana, Troy Aikman, Terry Bradshaw & Tom Brady have never seen aliens. I would prefer my guys don’t talk about it,” Cowherd said.

Brady immediately took notice of these comments and decided to take to Twitter, where he jokingly took offense to what Cowherd had to say. “How do you know I’ve never seen aliens Colin?” Brady asked sarcastically.

This was followed up by a reply from Mayfield who took a light jab at Brady saying “At your age, you’ve probably seen a bunch.”

At this point, there is no end in sight for the Mayfield Vs. Cowherd beef but now that Brady has entered his way into all of it, perhaps Cowherd will finally back off, once and for all.

It’s been years since their relationship ended and they’ve both moved on with their lives, but Lamar Odom still has a soft spot for his ex-wife, Khloe Kardashian. There was a time when Odom was deeply entrenched in the Kardashian-Jenner clan, even having his own reality television show with Khloé where they wed on-screen, and after the recent demise of his engagement with Sabrina Parr, Odom seems to be pining, just a bit, for his old life.

The NBA icon has battled a number of addictions and recovered from a frightening, near-death overdose years ago. He and Khloe weren’t together when he was hospitalized, yet still married, but she immediately traveled to Nevada to be by his side. After their divorce was finalized, Khloe eventually moved on to another baller, Tristan Thompson, and they welcomed a daughter into the world. While their relationship has been fitted with its ups and downs, it’s rumored that Khloe and Tristan are back on track.

In recent interviews, Odom has been asked about his current feelings toward his ex-wife, and he often plays coy. The former basketball player has stated that she’s in a relationship and seems happy, but in a recent post, Odom once again is feeling nostaligic about his former life. The E! network is binging all things Kardashian-Jenners on their channel as they play reruns of the family’s reality shows, and Lamar Odom came across the marathon. He shared a video of himself watching an episode as he reflected on happier times.

“Man, look at that picture. It’s crazy. Time flies,” said Odom. “This is the Lamar Odom, Khloe marathon so I just wanted to say, give a shoutout to E! for giving me the opportunity. Shout out to my ex-wife, Kris Jenner, Kim [Kardashian], for giving me an opportunity to cross over. I’ll never forget the day I got married on TV. I get a little bit emotional watching it.”

Meanwhile, Sabrina Parr was recently spotted clubbing with Trey Songz. In a recent interview, Odom accused her of using him for fame and called her “deceitful.” Check out Odom’s clip below.

Dave’s Quality Meat was a well-known sneaker boutique in New York City back in the day and unfortunately, it no longer exists. Despite the closing, DQM was able to come through with one of the best Nike Air Max 90 colorways of all-time in the “Bacon” model. This shoe was released all the way back in 2005 and fans have been waiting for it to return, ever since. Well, this seems to be everyone’s lucky year as the Air Max 90 “Bacon” has been officially revealed by Nike.

In the images below, you can see some unique packaging that holds true to the whole deli aesthetic. As for the shoe itself, it is covered in beige, brown, red, and pink, which are all colorways that you would associate with back or any other cut of meat. If you’re a longtime sneakerhead, this is a shoe that will drum up some nostalgia. Not to mention, it will probably also be fairly limited.

If you want to grab a pair, you will be able to do so on Air Max Day which takes place on March 26th. The price has been set for $140 USD, and you can be sure that the demand will be high.

Some of our favorite chart-topping hits were inspired by random occurrences in everyday life, and for the first time, Naomi Campbell learned that her snarky response during a conversation decades ago led to Gwen Stefani’s “Hollaback Girl.” The Platinum-selling 2004 single was included on Stefani’s solo debut studio album Love. Angel. Music. Baby and boasted a The Neptunes production with Pharrell Williams also snagging a songwriting credit. In a recent virtual interview Naomi Campbell, the megaproducer surprised the supermodel with a story about how she inspired the international hit.

“The other thing I wanna say, too, before I forget is Gwen and I have a song called ‘Hollaback’ and that chorus came from a conversation when you were like, telling somebody, you ‘ain’t no hollaback girl,'” recalled Pharrell recalled with a smile. “You were like, ‘I’m sorry, I have a name. I’m not no hollaback girl.’ And I thought that was so amazing and that ended up being the chorus to the song.”

“I don’t know who I was talking to,” a surprised Naomi replied. “I guess they deserved it.” You never know who may be listening to your conversation and making it into a Grammy contender.
