50 Cent’s Snoop Dogg-inspired STARZ Series “Is No Longer in Production”

50 Cent made the transition from radio to television a while ago. Ever since he brought Power to STARZ, the Jamaica Queens artist’s career went to new levels. Since then, G-Unit Films has produced shows like BMF, Power, Power Book II: Ghost, and Power Book IV: Force. Despite having award-winning success in television, STARZ is still pulling the plug on 50’s potential new show.

Four months ago, 50, Curtis Jackson announced that he would move forward with the Snoop Dogg-inspired series Murder Was the Case, but in a recent Instagram post, he said that the show “is no longer in production.”

 Jackson wrote, “Murder was the case is no longer in production at STARZ. I give them the alley-oop, they drop the damn ball. Anyway I hope snoop tell his story.”

Back in 1993, Snoop was infamously on trial for allegedly being involved in the killing of Philip Woldermariam, a rival gang member. Snoop’s bodyguard McKinley Lee admitted to reportedly shielding the rapper from Woldermariam and firing the shots that killed him. After a tense, highly-publicized trial, both Lee and Snoop got acquitted of murder. 

This isn’t the first time the music and film mogul has had an issue with the cable network STARZ. In March, he took it to social media to let viewers know that he’s in conflict with STARZ.

“This is me packing my stuff, STARZ,” 50 wrote. “Sucks, my deal is up over here I’m out. They renewed High Town, and FORCE is the highest rated show they have sitting in limbo. If I told you how much dumb sh*t I deal with over here, you would think they all went to school on a small yellow bus.”

Although STARZ ended the production of 50’s new show, he will return in 6 months with new seasons of BMF and Power Universe.

Lil Baby Set To Drop Two New Videos This Week

Lil Baby Announces He's Dropping New Music

Lil Baby told the truth when he tweeted out, “I’m coming.” Since then, the 4PF general has been flooding the game with music. During Lil Baby’s recent surge, he’s dropped videos for “Right On” and “In a Minute.” He also dropped “2 Step” with Ed Sheeran, a video dedicated to Ukraine, and he’s not done yet.

Lil Baby is set to drop an album soon, and he’s preparing fans with many new drops. He took it to Twitter to make the announcement.

It is uncertain when the “Drip Too Hard” rapper will drop his project, but he’s clearly in that mode. His two joints, “Right On” and “In a Minute,” have entered the Billboard Top 100, making Lil Baby the youngest artist in history to score 100 Billboard Hot 100 hits.

“Right On” entered the chart at No. 13, while “In A Minute” is currently at No. 14. This milestone puts Lil Baby in a historical category. Only a handful of artists have reached triple digits in Billboard hits. Other artists with 100 or more entries on the Billboard Hot 100 chart include Drake (260), Glee (207), Lil Wayne (180), Taylor Swift (166), Kanye West (135), Future (132), Nicki Minaj (123), Elvis Presley (109), Chris Brown (107), Jay-Z (104), and Justin Bieber (103).

Pusha T’s reputation for being an exquisite trap rapper is on full display as fans love his new album, It’s Almost Dry. The 12-track album Pusha released on April 22, has every song on Spotify’s top 200 chart.

The “Grinding” rapper retweeted a tweet from Chart Data with the emoji eyes when he discovered the news.

Pusha’s last album, Daytona, debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart in June 2018 and charted for seven weeks. It’s Almost Dry features Kanye West, Jay-Z, Kid Cudi, Labrinth, Pharrell, Don Toliver, Lil Uzi, and more. Pharrell and Kanye West both produced the album.

D Smoke, a two-time GRAMMY nominee, collaborates with R&B musician Agnez Mo on a remix of her hit “Patience” and Arin Ray’s new comeback single “The Mood.”

The “Patience” Remix, which was first released in February, has a heartfelt lyric from D Smoke about self-control and acceptance through a breakup. The song and music video are a continuation of the Indonesian artist’s prior collaborations with artists such as French Montana, Juicy J, and Steve Aoki.

With his new sensuous video “The Mood” featuring D Smoke, Arin Ray triumphantly returns to the scene. Ray has a night of sexual escapades with the visuals starring lady, directed by Arin and Whipalo. As she feasted on his dulcet lyrics and unending kisses, he satisfies her appetite. Chris Rock‘s mom sat with South Carolina station WIS. Rock’s mom, Rose Rock, is a motivational speaker and was on hand to speak with students in Columbia. Before she did, she sat with Billie Jean Shaw for an exclusive one-on-one and talked about the viral slap moment.

“You reacted to your wife giving you the side-eye, and you went and made her day because she was mulled over laughing when it happened,” Rose Rock said.

Like many watchers, Rose Rock thought the moment was staged until Chris Rock started shouting profanities across the room once he returned to his seat. “When he slapped Chris, he slapped all of us. He really slapped me. When you hurt my child, you hurt me.”

Rose Rock would then add that the moment completely overshadowed Questlove’s win and the joy Chris Rock was getting by handing the illustrious drummer and filmmaker the award.

“No one even heard his speech. No one was able to just be in the moment because everyone was sitting there like, ‘what just happened?’” she said.

While Rose Rock doesn’t believe Will Smith’s Oscar should be taken away, she thinks it should have been a more severe punishment. You can hear it all from Rose below.

Bobby Shmurda pulled up on DJ Akademiks’ Off The Record podcast. One of the legendary stories about Shmurda was willing to do more time behind bars to make an easier road for his friend. That lets you know any type of snitching was off the table for him. While talking to Ak, Bobby stated the industry is full of snitches and advocated for civilians to live in their own world and not worry about snitching. Those words perked 6ix9ine’s ears who launched a verbal attack on the Brooklyn star.

“I never seen migos throw Bobby on a song while he was in jail … talk about “real nikkas” but as soon as he came home they wanted to ride his wave to get hot.. I didn’t owe him nothing and I sent him 40,000 in jail after stoopid,” 6ix9ine etched online.

In a recent sit down with The Breakfast Club, Queen Naija spoke about who she wants to collab with in the industry, her recent collaboration with Fivio Foreign, and some internet jokes that bother the 26-year-old artist.

During the interview, Naija explained the love she receives on each platform, excluding the bluebird app. “I get lots of love everywhere but Twitter bruh, they cannot stand me,” she stated.

“They blame me for something that happened between a whole other situation. They blamed me because Nicki couldn’t go live or something before they said its all your fault. Its a trend. Literally, when I be looking at the quoted tweets, everybody’s laughing. It’s like I’m the joke of Twitter.”

“They said I told Chris the joke, I said ‘what is going on?’” Naija continued, referring to the infamous Oscars slap.

While Naija states that some tweets do bother her, for the most part, the singer says that she can laugh at the jokes after understanding that “some people really don’t like me. Just a small percentage right. Then its just that bandwagon thing that everybody likes to jump on because they want to be seen or feel popular or get likes or follows. Its like a trend to dislike me, and honestly I think they really do like me though. You speak about me so much so you must like me.”

We love to see Queen not let the internet’s negativity affect her! She also spoke about shooting her shot in hopes of collaborating with Drake on a track. “Ima say this because usually to be honest with y’all, I don’t try to say big artist because it was a point where I felt like I’m too small or I can’t reach them but you never know what happens, so I would love to do a song with Drake one day,” the singer stated.

Post Malone Previews New Music From ‘twelve carat toothache’ Album

An album from Post Malone has already been confirmed. Now he’s allowed fans to hear what’s soon to come. On April 22, the “Rockstar” artist took to Instagram to share some new music from his forthcoming twelve carat toothache, arriving in May.

Post Malone shared unreleased tracks, including Roddy Ricch, Doja Cat, and The Kid LAROI. Before he played the music, he gave fans insight on what to expect from him. He said he “put his heart and soul into it and couldn’t wait for everybody to hear it,” He wanted everybody to hear it.”

twelve carat toothache will be Post’s follow up to his 2019 Hollywood’s Bleeding, one of Malone’s two Billboard 200 No. 1 albums. Malone also has four Hot 100 No. 1 hit, three of which placed on Billboard’s Greatest of All Time Hot 100 Songs ranking: “Circles,” “Sunflower,” and “Rockstar” (featuring 21 Savage).

Although we know that an album will arrive next month, the actual release date is still a mystery. There are only a few weeks until May, and the count down for Twelve carat toothache will begin.

Until then, fans can enjoy the is led by the single “One Right Now,” which arrived last November and features an assist from Republic labelmate The Weeknd.

[WATCH] DaBaby Throws Punch At His Own Artist During SC Concert

Over the weekend at a concert at South Carolina’s Colonial Life Arena, DaBaby has gotten himself into another scuffle and this time it was his own artist.

No reports have explained what transpired before blows were thrown, but a now viral video shows someone who appears to be DaBaby unsuspectingly swinging on a bigger man who is reportedly Wisdom Awute, an artist on DaBaby’s Billion Dollar Baby Entertainment. Only a few punches were thrown between the two men before security intervenes, but no police were called and no report was filed in the incident.

With all of the legal trouble the North Carolina is facing, that can only be good news because DaBaby has more than his share of cases to face. A man was recently shot on his property, but t he rapper claims self defense. Also, he is still facing legal ramifications because of the bowling alley scuffle, but that case seems to have stalled due to the details involved.

Some may not remember, but 21-year-old Awute was alleged to be the shooter in a June 2021 shooting in Miami Beach, where DaBaby was questioned and released. Awute, along with another assailant, was charged with attempted first-degree murder with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault.

Chopper Of MTV’s ‘Making The Band’ Arrested For Sex Trafficking

According to a report from TMZ, Making The Band’s Chopper was arrested for sex trafficking earlier this month with authorities claiming that the former reality star was a pimp.

Chopper, whose real name is Kevin Barnes, was arrested in Maryland and will be extradited to Las Vegas for the sex trafficking charges.

Authorities claim that an undercover officer operating as a sex worker in Nevada was DMed by the former MTV star, who offered her a way to make money through prostitution. Authorities combed Chopper aka Young City’s IG, where they found several posts related to pimping including an image of him sitting on a plane with the caption, “Sending em.”

AN investigation was then launched after authorities saw evidence of a potential sex trafficking operation on his social media.

The undercover says they had an “interview” with Chopper and after passing the test, Chopper told them he would make them part of his “team” and “stable.” The officer claims that Chopper began being aggressive with them and began ordering them to pack their belongings and meet him in Charlotte, N.C. to become a part of his “stable”.

With the social media posts, DMs and phone calls, authorities had enough evidence to arrest Chopper and charge him with felony sex trafficking.

No word has been given as to what Chopper faces in his current situation, but TheSourc.com will update this story as details develop.
