Is YE set to bring his talents to the Golden Arches? Kanye West returned to Instagram and let off a post of what appears to be a redesign of McDonald’s packaging.

The image appears to show a burger in the shape of a box with the golden arches attached. The caption offers a bit of context: “Ye teams up with legendary Muji industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa to reimagine McDonald’s packaging.”

Over the years, McDonald’s has teamed with notable industry figures for specific meals and merchandise. Those meals include Travis Scott, Mariah Carey, and Saweetie. Could Ye be next? Check out the post below.

This isn’t YE’s first encounter with McDonald’s. The DONDA creator appeared in a McD’s commercial that aired during the Super Bowl. In the commercial, Kanye did what most of us do when we hit a drive-thru and tried to figure out our order, suddenly freeze and try to figure out your order. The result is the typical “Can I get uhhhhhhhhh…..”

Kanye pulled up on a SHERP but is also joined by NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace and more.

Seem random? Not at all. Kanye has been vocal about his love for McDonald’s. You can see the ad below.

Rick Ross Reportedly Set for Non-Scripted Series at BET

If you are a fan of all of the fun that Rick Ross has at his Promise Land home, his new show will be for you. theJasmineBRAND reports Rozay is headed to BET for a new non-scripted show.

Ricky Rozay’s new series will reportedly follow his efforts at different outdoor and indoor activities. The forthcoming show’s name and release date are currently unannounced.

Ross previously teased a show, stating, “I’ma go ahead and do me a show. The time is now. It’s going to be about wealth, based on success.” He added, “We actually filming right now, but I hope y’all are ready for it ’cause I’ma talk some big numbers.”

Rick Ross is doing everything he can to make his home, The Promise Land, the place of his dreams. Rozay, who already made headlines for his tree chopping expedition, has now purchased a fire truck for the property.

“Growing up in Carol City, when the ice cream truck came down the street, we used to jump on the back of the ice cream truck and hold on,” Ross said. “Fire trucks used to drive by all the time. I always wanted to ride on one of them. So guess what? I bought a fire truck. It’s going down!”

Today in Hip-Hop History: Slick Rick Dropped His Last Album ‘The Art Of Storytelling’ 23 Years Ago

On this day in Hip Hop history, Slick Rick released his final studio LP, The Art of Story Telling.

Mostly produced by DJ Clark Kent and Kid Capri, this album featured guest verses from the likes of Redman, Rev Run, Outkast, Nas, Raekwon, and Snoop Dogg.

Critically the album has been hailed as the only proper sequel to his breakthrough debut album, The Great Adventures Of Slick Rick. Due to continuous run-ins with the law, the public was never really able to fully experience Slick Rick as an artist. For the same reason, the world will never know what his outstanding ability and outspoken persona could have done for Hip Hop culture. What is apparent is that when the master storyteller has the time, he can pen and deliver a masterpiece.

The Art of Storytelling was Slick Rick’s most commercially successful album, peaking at #8 on the Billboard 200 chart and #1 on the Top R&B/Hip Hop charts. The album even went gold during its first week of sales. True to the title, the album is full of narratives that could only be crafted by the pen that scribed the famous “Children’s Story.” And although he has not strayed away from his signature rhetoric, The Art of Storytelling shows improvement and Slick Rick’s ability to stay relevant as far as his own style blending with the popular sound of the time. As a whole, this album is deserving of all accolades and is a proper farewell to Slick Rick as an album rapper.

14 Students Killed During Shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, TX

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has confirmed fourteen students and one teacher have been shot and killed at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas.

According to ABC NEWS, the suspect, an 18-year-old student of Uvalde High School, is dead.

“He shot and killed horrifically and incomprehensibly 14 students and killed a teacher,” Abbott said.

Before shooting at the elementary school, the suspect is believed to have shot his grandmother. The suspect is believed to have been armed with a handgun and a rifle.

“When parents drop their kids off at school, they have every expectation to know that they’re going to be able to pick their child up when that school day ends. And there are families who are in mourning right now,” Abbott said. “The state of Texas is in mourning with them for the reality that these parents are not going to be able to pick up their children.”

Two responding police offers were injured but are expected to recover. Fifteen students are being treated at Uvalde Memorial Hospital. Two additional patients were transferred to neighboring San Antonio, and a third is awaiting a transfer.

Lil Uzi Vert Is Confident That His Next Album A “Classic”

A few weeks ago, Lil Uzi told fans to expect “classic mode” on his new album. However, over the weekend when the XO Tour Life rapper released a snippet of his new music, fans felt other wise.

Fans went as far as saying he “fell off” when they heard the preview.

Of course, Baby Pluto responded with a series of tweets of his own. In his response, he still felt confident despite the negative comments. Uzi wrote in a tweet. “I am stepping bad on this album and y’all ain’t hear nothin maybe alil but nothin. Trust me.”

It’s been two years since Uzi dropped his  Eternal Atake and its deluxe version in 2020. Eternal Atake went two week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums. Uzi Vert is confident that his next album will reach the same success.

Ex-NFL Player Brendan Langley Arrested, United Airlines Employee Fired For NJ Airport Brawl

A former Broncos player is charged with simple assault after getting into a brawl with an employee at Newark Liberty International Airport last week.

Allegedly the United employee was scolding Langley for using a wheelchair to carry his luggage.

Witness video shows the worker for United Ground Express strikes ex-wide receiver Brendan Langley in the head first prompting Langley to slap him back.

The duo then exchanged more words at the check-in counter before the brawl escalated to the employee having a bloody face after they both squared off. Two other airport employees eventually stepped in to stop the fight.

It’s not yet confirmed what actually started the altercation. United Ground Express is a United Airlines subsidiary and says it has fired the unidentified worker while authorities say Langley has a virtual court appearance on July 20.

VERZUZ Battle Between UGK And 8Ball & MJG Is Set To Happen

The VERZUZ battle phenomenon is still here and up next is two well respected southern Hip-Hop groups. During Memorial Day weekend, UGK and 8Ball & MGK will take the stage in Atlanta for an iconic VERZUZ battle.

VERZUZ took it to Twitter to announce the news.

Both UGK and 8Ball & MJG played major roles in bringing southern culture to Hip-Hop. Both groups used their music to lyrically give insight to how things went in the south.

The Port Arthur, Texas duo, UGK, consisting of Bun B and the legendary late Pimp C, made a splash in the rap game when they dropped their ’96 classic Ridin’ Dirty.

Meanwhile, 8Ball & MJG were the some of the first rappers to but Mempish on the map.

The date for the battle will happen on May 26, at 8PM ET, in Atlanta. Fans can stream UGK vs 8Ball and MJG, on all Verzuz social media feeds, as well as Triller.

Fans can also receive updates about this, Verzuz, by texting 855-968-1499. As of now, it’s unclear when tickets will be available, for fans to purchase, in order to attend UGK vs 8Ball & MJG.

Atlanta Area Man Arrested for Threatening to Blow Up Tyler Perry’s Studio

Tyler Perry’s Atlanta studio was the site of a bomb threat. Atlanta PD arrested a local man, Coles Arrasheed, for terroristic threats against the iconic location.

TMZ reports Coles called the mainline of the studio with a demand to speak with Perry. After being told that wasn’t possible, the man began to rant, leading to the receptionist hanging up and blocking the number.

The receptionist later discovered a voicemail that contained a bomb threat, which she then alerted the police.

Coles was arrested and booked for a felony charge at Fulton County Jail. He was released on a $5,000 bond.
