Elon Musk’s Father Sides With Grimes Amid Custody Battle

Elon Musk and Grimes are currently seeking custody of their three children together. If you remember, Musk and Grimes only revealed their third child together, last month. Overall, this came as a surprise to many, especially since they broke up a long time ago. However, Musk is no stranger to having children. He has had 11 throughout the course of his life, and 10 are currently living. This can create some messy situations, although he doesn’t seem to mind, whatsoever.

Now that Musk is looking to take custody and move his children out of California, Grimes has replied with full force. In fact, she just got a huge win in their legal battle, as a judge will not let the kids leave the state. This is good news for Grimes, although it is not ideal for Elon. That said, in a new report from Page Six, Elon’s father Errol seems to be taking Grimes’ side.

Errol Musk Speaks On Elon Musk

“A woman is a very essential part of a home, a woman is the center of the home. The mother is the sun and the rest of the family are the planets. If a father went away for a few weeks, it would make no difference, but a woman is essential,” Errol Musk explained. “A father and two sons living together is not really a family, it’s just three men; a mother and two sons is a family.”

Elon probably won’t appreciate his father weighing in like this. However, his father has always been critical of him, so this should come as no surprise. Grimes Demands Elon Musk Let Her See Their Son As Their Third Child Is Revealed

Grimes and Elon Musk’s relationship as romantic partners may be over, but their bond as co-parents just developed some drama. Moreover, the Canadian artist recently tweeted and deleted a plea for the tech giant and the Neuralink co-worker he recently had twins with. “Tell Shivon to unblock me and tell Elon to let me see my son or plz respond to my lawyer,” she wrote in response to a picture of the twin children in question. “I have never even been allowed to see a photo of these children until this moment, despite the situation utterly ripping my family apart.”

Furthermore, these twins with Shivon Zilis (Strider and Azure) were born in November of 2021 but weren’t public until July of 2022. This was amid Elon Musk’s temporary split with Grimes, which eventually became permanent three months after they welcomed their second child, Exa Dark Sideræl Musk, via surrogate in December of 2021. The couple’s first son, X AE A-Xii, was born in May of 2020. It seems like this deleted tweet from the Art Angels multi-hyphenate refers specifically to X.

Elon Musk & Grimes’ Secret Third Child

However, Strider and Azure aren’t the only once-secret children in Elon Musk’s life, and with 11 children, there are a lot of opportunities. Regardless, a recent biography on the Tesla tycoon’s life revealed that he and Grimes actually had a third child, Techno Mechanicus. Considering the proximity of this discovery to Grimes’ tweet, this caused a lot of conversation and different takes to sprout online. Sure, there’s always the demographic of people that just say they don’t care about this kind of gossip. But for a loud minority online, this was a pretty spicy development that took the shine out of more present issues for the two.

Meanwhile, both moved on with their lives since, and this new situation might bring their diverging paths together in more contentious ways. Elon’s still busy with his Twitter “X” rebranding and updates, whereas his former partner continues to develop her music career. Hopefully these issues can wash away amicably. Grimes Has A Lot Of Thoughts About The Weeknd’s ‘The Idol’ Getting Canceled: ‘It Had Its Flaws But I Am So Tired Of Everything Being Perfect’

After months of doubt about whether The Weeknd’s controversial HBO series The Idol would return for a second season, it was made official yesterday (August 28): No, the show is not continuing. Grimes, a fan of The Idol, was bummed about the cancellation news, as she revealed on X (formerly Twitter).

In a series of tweets, Grimes discussed what she liked about the show, what she wanted to see from it next, and some other things she noticed. She wrote:

“Call me crazy but I rly loved the idol. I feel like they didn’t have time to finish it but it reminded me of perfect blue meets basic instinct kinda? I wish they could have another season to rly get into the Machiavellian femme fatale arc w Depp.

When I saw perfect blue my main thought was it would have been better if she was the villain. I feel like the idol was gonna go there but it felt like they didn’t have enough time to get there. The music is also p good in it honestly – I wasn’t expecting that.

I liked the over the top dialogue – it felt like an homage to a lot of things I miss, it also reminded me of anime the way Brit Marling’s the OA feels like irk anime. If u imagine it animated it rly works – tho depp is totally magnetic on screen I wouldn’t trade the casting

Nina mcneelys choreo is also just astoundingly good especially depps solo near the end of the season. Jennie did suchhh a good job w those dance sequences too- it was mimicking something more basic but actually rly elevated and gorgeous.

I wanted so much more of the red hair journalist arc. Idk, it had it flaws but I am so tired of everything being perfect. I loved the messiness and the humanity and the self indulgence. U could tell everyone was loving filming it. I ride for the idol haha idk.”

Julia Fox & Grimes Discuss Dangers Of Photoshop For Celebrities

Some celebrities, such as the Kardashian-Jenner sisters, are constantly being called out for Photoshop fails on Instagram. Others, like Julia Fox, are now using their platforms to discuss the dangers of altering images – especially when celebrities do it without offering any form of transparency. For the latest episode of her Forbidden Fruits podcast, the mother of one sat down with co-host Niki Takesh and Canadian artist Grimes to discuss the future of artificial intelligence, as well as some of the problems that can come with such advanced technology.

“A lot of celebrities Photoshop their images, so girls have unrealistic expectations, like, ‘Why can’t I look like that?’” the Uncut Gems actress pointed out. While normal people may envy their favourite stars, Fox cautioned listeners, “Boo, they don’t even look like that!” Grimes then chimed in with, “Yeah I feel like the idea that the average person is a 10 right now is very impressive if you’re a kid… It’s very concerning, it’s the most irresponsible thing tech is doing right now.” From Fox’s perspective, the new features constantly coming out are “demonic.”

Of course, the Italian-born starlet has previously been candid about undergoing plastic surgery herself. Seeing as she’s been transparent about having liposuction and Botox, fans have commended Fox for her realness. The problem seems to lie with those who aren’t straightforward about the work they’ve had done, or the alternations they make to their Instagram uploads, leaving followers to desperately desire to be or lust after something that isn’t even real. Following today’s episode, the “Player of Games” songstress will be back for another appearance later this month, likely to spill more tech tea.

Others who have already been interviewed by Julia Fox and Nikki Takesh include Emily Ratajkowski, Amber Rose, and Billy McFarland, who was the first official guest on the podcast’s second season back in March. Grimes Gives AI Generators Permission To Use Her Voice

Grimes has always been a little bit all over the place. In the beginning of her career, she positioned herself as an indie electronic darling. As time went on, however, fans discovered that Grimes was far from the “girl of the people” they thought she was. They found out that her parents were actually quite wealthy, at least compared to the general population. Her mother was a famed prosecutor, and her father worked in biotech. Far from the humble background that fans originally assumed she came from. Then, several years ago, Grimes was revealed to be dating Elon Musk. At the time, it was quite a surprising move. However, fans soon discovered that the decision was very much in line with who Grimes is as a person.

Grimes, whose real name is Claire Elise Boucher, is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and visual artist. She first gained attention in the music industry with her self-released album Geidi Primes in 2010. Grimes’ music is often described as experimental, blending various genres such as pop, electronic, and art-pop. She has released several critically acclaimed albums, including Visions and Art Angels. Grimes is also known for her distinctive fashion and has been recognized for her unique artistic vision, both in her music and visual art. She has collaborated with many other artists over the years. In addition, she was married to Elon Musk, with whom she has two children.

Grimes took to Twitter to speak about the AI collab between Drake and The Weeknd that hit streaming services last week. The song went viral, but was taken down from streaming soon after. Many in the industry are appalled at the ramifications that something like this could have. Grimes, however, sees it as both a good thing and an opportunity to make some money. “I’ll split 50% royalties on any successful AI generated song that uses my voice,” Grimes said in a tweet. “Same deal as I would with any artist i collab with. Feel free to use my voice without penalty. I have no label and no legal bindings.”

That was already bad enough, but Grimes took it one step further. In addition to giving AI generators the go-ahead to use her voice, she advocated for open-sourcing all art and killing copyright. “I think it’s cool to be fused w a machine,” she said in the second tweet. “And I like the idea of open sourcing all art and killing copyright.” Hilariously, the follow-up tweet is in direct opposition to her offer to split royalties. If there is no copyright and everything is open-source, that would mean that Grimes would not receive royalties. It seems, however, that this was lost on her and her followers as they excitedly chimed in with messages of support and agreement. What do you think of Grimes’ statements? Let us know in the comments.

Grimes Is Actually Encouraging Use Of Her Voice In AI Songs In Response To The Viral Drake And The Weeknd AI Track

In recent days, a lot of attention has been paid to AI-generated music, specifically a song that used copies of Drake and The Weeknd’s voices. The track got removed from streaming platforms, but not before Meek Mill listened to it a bunch of times. Grimes, ever one to embrace new technologies, has some thoughts about this and about the use of AI clones of her own voice.

Yesterday (April 23), Grimes took to Twitter to share a screenshot of an article about the Drake/Weeknd AI song. She wrote, “I’ll split 50% royalties on any successful AI generated song that uses my voice. Same deal as I would with any artist i collab with. Feel free to use my voice without penalty. I have no label and no legal bindings.” She added in another tweet, “I think it’s cool to be fused w a machine and I like the idea of open sourcing all art and killing copyright.”

That led to some good follow-up questions. One Twitter user asked, “would the title of such a song credit you as a featured artist, or how would you prefer it?” Grimes replied, “Sure – anything anyone wants. Im just curious what even happens and interested in being a Guinea pig.” Somebody else wondered, “Hey can you pls tell everyone that they need to upload to elf.tech [Grimes’ website] in order to get approval from Media Empire?” She responded, “I feel like we shouldn’t force approvals – but rather work out publishing with stuff that’s super popular. That seems most efficient? We cud use elf tech for it tho – but I think we’ll notice if a grimes song goes viral.”

Grimes also noted that she’s working on AI-ifying her voice herself, tweeting, “We’re making a program that should simulate my voice well but we could also upload stems and samples for ppl to train their own.” Somebody asked about how that endeavor is going and Grimes replied, “we were p far along last I checked. I sorta just spur of the moment decided to do this lol but we were making a sim of my voice for our own plans and they were almost done.”

Finneas seems to be on board with Grimes’ vision: He shared her original post and added, “So lit.”

Meek Mill is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Grimes And Elon Musk’s Daughter Has An Odd New Name

The relationship between Grimes and Elon Musk has generated many strange headlines but perhaps none more so than that of their choice in baby names. The odd couple has had an on-again, off-again relationship since 2018. When they made their public debut as a couple, many Grimes fans were left feeling confused. How could an extremely left-leaning alternative artist be in a relationship with the richest man in the world, who so often expresses conservative views and is perhaps the biggest troll on the internet? That part remains a mystery, as the couple has kept much of their relationship fairly private. What the public has been privy to, however, has been extremely strange.

In January 2020, Grimes announced her pregnancy via Instagram. Then, in March of that year, she gave birth to a baby boy named X Æ A-12. Considering this was perhaps the weirdest celebrity baby name to date, it was no surprise that the internet had an absolute field day with it. Grimes took to Twitter to clarify her son’s name and what it meant to her. Unfortunately, it only made the name seem even more strange. “X, the unknown variable,” she, tweeted. “Æ, my elven spelling of Ai (love &/or Artificial intelligence). A-12 = precursor to SR-17 (our favorite aircraft). No weapons, no defenses, just speed. Great in battle, but non-violent + (A = Archangel, my favorite song).”

A Simpler Name, But No Less Strange

Despite their breakup in 2021, Grimes and Elon Musk welcomed a baby girl via surrogate less than a year later. Once again, the couple chose perhaps the strangest name they could think of, announcing that their daughter’s name was Exa Dark Sideræl. Once again, the name was the subject of many jokes on Twitter and other social media outlets. Still, Grimes seemed undeterred. In an interview with Vanity Fair, she explained the meaning of the name, which made just about as much sense as the name of their first child. That is to say, none at all.

However, it now seems that Grimes has confirmed that she and Musk have officially changed their daughter’s name to Y. This was previously something she touted as simply being a nickname. However, she has now tweeted that her daughter was “Y now”, even suggesting that they attempted to legally change the baby girl’s name to a question mark but weren’t able to. It’s difficult to imagine that there was a time when celebrity baby names like Apple seemed outlandish. One can only imagine what name Grimes and Musk will dream up if they have a third child. What’s your favorite (or least favorite) weird celebrity baby name? Let us know in the comments.
