Travis Scott’s ‘Utopia’ Album on Lock: Chained to His Personal Security

Travis Scott‘s Utopia album appears loaded and ready to go, but don’t expect leaks. Travis keeps the album secure to him, packed in a briefcase, and handcuffed to his security guard.

Travis was spotted in Hollywood on Thursday, hitting a vinyl store. TMZ noted the rapper was escorted by his security guard. In addition to ensuring Scott’s safety and opening his door, the guard had another job, making sure the Utopia album was safe.

Utopia serves as his newest release since 2018’s critically-acclaimed Astroworld, which features all-star appearances from Frank Ocean, Drake, Swae Lee, James Blake, Sheck Wes, Kid Cudi, Juice WRLD, The Weeknd, Pharrell, Gunna, Nav, Takeoff, 21 Savage, and more.

And if there’s one thing you can count on from Travis, it’s his support for his hometown of Houston. On Monday evening (May 15), the “Sicko Mode” recording artist visited Minute Maid Park to hang out with the Houston Astros baseball team guys, giving them a preview of the highly-anticipated new music.

In a clip that surfaced online, Travis states, “Man, fresh from Utopia. It’s on the way now. Had to come here and play Utopia for the boys in the locker room. Had to get it right for the game. You know how we do, from the clubhouse to the stu!”

Boasting 49 million followers on Instagram alone, Travis Scott played the unreleased music right before the Astros played the Chicago Cubs in their home stadium. Travis must have been good luck, as the Astros ended up beating the Cubs 6 to 4. Additionally, Scott got in some batting practice and even got to peep the weight room.

While rocking his Air Jordan 1 Low “Black Phantom” sneakers, Travis seemed very excited to preview Utopia. In fact, he’s been teasing these tracks for years, even releasing two songs titled “Mafia” and “Escape Plan” back in November 2021.

Last year, cryptic billboards of Utopia popped up all around Southern California. In August, Travis revealed returning to the studio to perfect the new project.

First Adidas and YEEZY Restock Under New Agreement Set for June 1

The Adidas restock is officially confirmed. Following reports of a renewed partnership and UK page loading, Adidas India released a promotional image for the YEEZY line for a June 1 release.

The YEEZY brand is set to release the Yeezy 350 “Pirate Black”, Zebra 350s, Utility Black 500s, the Yeezy Foam Runner, and Yeezy Slides. According to Sneaker News, new Yeezy Styles never seen before will be introduced to the public.

Hypebeast, highlighted the sign of initial restocks of Yeezy products on the adidas UK website.

The report states the product pages for the YEEZY 350 BOOST V2 “Zebra” and the YEEZY 500 “Utility Black” will be of the launch. Both models can be spotted on the site by searching “Yeezy Trainers.” Currently, there is no specific date set for the launch.

News of the renewed partnership comes via the YEEZY MAFIA, a source of all things Yeezy, including his sneaker line.

Confirming the news, Reuters states Adidas CEO Bjoern Gulden revealed the renewed partnership to move some of the merchandise and donate a portion of the proceeds to international organizations.

A reported $1.3 billion in Yeezy-branded Adidas products are sitting in storage after the partnership was ended over the rapper’s antisemitic statements. Gulden stated plans for how Adidas will continue with the sale are not in place.

“What we are trying to do now over time is to sell some of this merchandise … burning the goods would not be a solution,” Gulden said.

Donating the sneakers was not an option out of fear the sneakers would reach the secondary market. Adidas stock is up 2% so far on the day. Ye would still receive 15% of the sales.

Speaking on the rapper, Culden stated about Ye, “As difficult as he was, he is perhaps the most creative mind in our industry.”

Jorja Smith Preps Second Album ‘failing or flying’ for Sept. 29

Jorja Smith is getting ready to let you back into her world, announcing her highly anticipated second album, falling or flying, for Sept. 29. The album announcement follows the two recently released singles “Try Me” and “Little Things.”

Jorja has also unveiled the album’s moving cover art, a gorgeous portrait of herself that was taken on film by renowned British photographer Liz Johnson Artur. Jorja has also revealed a string of live performances in the UK during the month of September to celebrate the album’s release.

falling or flying is described as an album that highlights the music and emotional state Jorja Smith is currently in. Heading into her 26th year of life. “And despite it all,” she says, “it’s definitely a journey I’ve just started. That’s what’s crazy. It’s only just begun.”

Jorja Smith describes the falling or flying album as one that moves as quickly as Jorja’s mind does, with deep, thumping drums, frantic basslines, catchy hooks, and distinctive beats. “I don’t slow down enough” Smith said. “This album is like my brain. There’s always so much going on but each song is definitely a standstill moment.”

SOURCE SPORTS: Ja Morant’s Sneakers Removed from Nike App After Second Gun Incident

Less than a week following his NBA suspension for his second gun-flashing incident on video, Ja Morant’s Hunger Ja 1 sneakers have been taken off the Nike or Finish Line apps as of today(May 18). The sneakers have been out for less than a month, but are now no longer available for sale on those apps.

Morant’s t-shirts are still available and the Ja 1 “Hunger colorway is still listed as “upcoming” on the Nike website.

Morant was suspended by the Memphis Grizzlies indefinitely this past week for flashing a gun on Instagram Live for the second time in two months. He was suspended for eight games for flashing a gun in the same manner on IG at a strip club in Colorado.

On this date in 2010, Queensbridge king Nas and reggae royalty Damian Marley dropped their collaborative album Distant Relatives on the Universal Republic/Def Jam imprint.

This Hip Hop/reggae collabo album was the first of its kind, with its release coming after Nas’ controversial Untitled album and Marley’s landmark Welcome To Jamrock LP. The production was very organic and exempt of super producers except for Jr. Gong and Stephen Marley, having Marley explain , “We’re trying to have a sound that’s reminiscent of both of us, but not exactly like either… A lot of charity albums come off corny. We want this to be something you’d play in your car.”

The album did daily well commercially, entering the Billboard 200 at number five and selling over 125,000 in its premiere month. Distant Relatives also served as a refreshing alternative that coupled as a vehicle of consciousness to younger listeners who were captivated by the more popular gangster themed music. Features boasted the likes of Joss Stone, Junior Reid, Lil Wayne and others.

Rapper Sauce Walka is back talking to anyone that will listen and once again he’s reiterating that he doesn’t like black women. In a new interview, the Houston rapper shares that his preference is to date White women vs. Black women. “They are more open to it being a business relationship & accepts my lifestyle of having multiple women. Black women aren’t open to teamwork and not being the only woman.”

He’s often on the internet showcasing white women lotioning his body or participating in his OnlyFans movement. Sauce is known for his views on black women and has stated in the past, “I’m rich for real, I got White b***hes who wash my dishes and clean my clothes, and dry my body off when I get out the shower.” Every interview he expresses his disdain for black women who won’t get in line with his views and denounce them for ‘foreign women’ which he prefers.

When asked if he would ever date a black woman, Sauce honestly replies, “I love black women and would f**k a Black b***h, but no I wouldn’t date them.” While he has nothing against black women, Sauce says his preference to only date white girls is a “good business decision,” because he catches everyone’s attention with their relationship.

Recap: Black Ink Crew’s Spyder Season 10 Premiere Party

Celebrity tattooist + Black Ink Cast member Spyder hosted a Black Ink Season 10 watch party at “Tribeca Social” in Tribeca area of Manhattan. Fans, friends, family and cast members came to the space to celebrate the long awaited season premiere. With the leader of the pack, Black Ink Franchise owner Ceaser being off of the show and separated from the VH1 Network, fans did not expect another season, so this event was not only special it was a surprise for all.

During the episode the crowd quickly saw the divide between the crew. Original cast members since season one, Puma and Teddy wanted to continue the Black Ink legacy without Ceaser and open up another shop under the “Black Ink” name. Spyder, being a loyal brother to Ceaser and the only REAL + CURRENT “Black Ink Brooklyn” employee, was not feeling the idea of creating another shop without Ceaser, especiallyunder Puma’s reign, specifically because he isn’t an artist nor is he the one that started it. Other cast members were either indifferent or wasn’t down at all. You can tell that this season is going to be a spicy one.

Notable attendees included cast members, Krystal, Rok, Draya, Richand Jahnovaa. Executive Producer/Journalist Kim Osorio, Playboy Bunny Anna Strindberg, Media Personality Holiday The Golden Child, Real Estate Mogul Marc Lippman, Celebrity Attorney Stephanie Ovadia as well as Giacomo head of sales for Cheyenne Tattoo equipment and more.

This was the first and will definitely not be the last. Spyder will be having watch parties throughout the season. This event was powered by Chasity Cox Public Relations and Chase Simms Movement. Black Ink Crew New York airs on Mondays at 8pm.
