Stephen Curry Announces His Entry to Spirits Market with ‘Gentleman’s Cut’ Bourbon

Stephen Curry is venturing into the spirits industry by introducing Gentleman’s Cut Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. After years of careful crafting, this highly anticipated and well-aged bourbon will be globally launched in May at The Boone County Distilling Co., following its initial bottling.

Driven by his genuine love for high-quality bourbon, Curry was actively engaged in every aspect of the production, including manufacturing, blending, aging, packaging, and marketing. The label of this bourbon carries a heartfelt message personally written by Curry himself.

The bourbon production process, including distillation, aging, and bottling, takes place at Game Changer Distillery in Boone County, KY. Stephen Curry’s SC30 Inc. joined forces with John Schwartz, the owner of the renowned Amuse Bouche Winery in Napa Valley, to establish a collaborative venture with Boone County Distilling Co.. This distillery has long been recognized as a trailblazer in the craft spirits industry of the region. Situated on the Kentucky Craft Bourbon Trail, Boone County Distilling, established in 1833, has revived the craft’s time-honored traditions, pride, and dedication, carrying forward a legacy of producing high-quality spirits using grain-to-glass methods.

Janelle Monáe Explains New Lifestyle: ‘I’m Much Happier When My Ti**ies Are Out’

Janelle Monáe has made a few changes as far as her image and fans are wondering what’s next. Janelle recently appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine slightly covering her bare breasts. “I’m much happier when my ti**ies are out,” she revealed.

The 37-year-old singer/actress rocked the cover wearing nothing but a gold rope chain wig with diamonds on the cover. When the world was first introduced to the multi-talented artist, she limited her wardrobe to black & white tailored suits.

She also discusses how she diagnosed herself with OCD,

“I know how to coach myself if it comes up again. But all of that I think made me… And in OCD … if something isn’t exactly how I see it, in my mind, it’s trash.”

“I think that therapy, life coaching included, should be free for every American. There’s so many people walking around wounded emotionally. We would be better as a country, as a planet, if everybody had the access.” She recently released a video of herself wearing a wet t-shirt to promote her new single “Lipstick Lover.”

“I think being an artist gets lonely. Most people don’t understand what’s going on in my brain. Community has been so helpful to me; it’s beautiful that I have a title called The Age of Pleasure because it actually re-centers me. It’s not about an album anymore. I’ve changed my whole f**king lifestyle.”

She continued: “I’ve been a Lipstick Lover. I wear red lipsticks at the parties. I’ve had moments where if me and a girl or an energy… want to engage, you’re going to see lipstick. I remember how it felt when I got kissed on my neck with red lipstick. I remember how I went to bed feeling. It was a deep rouge. It wasn’t matte. I remember the way the person looked. And I was like, ‘That’s a f-cking song.’”

The Age of Pleasure is Janelle’s first new album in 5 years.

Warner Bros. Pictures has announced a “bold new take on the beloved classic” The Color Purple. The forthcoming film is directed by Blitz Bazawule and produced by Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg, Scott Sanders, and Quincy Jones.

The film will star Taraji P. Henson, Danielle Brooks, Colman Domingo, Corey Hawkins, H.E.R., Danielle Brooks, Halle Bailey, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, and Fantasia Barrino in her major motion picture debut.

The screenplay is by Marcus Gardley, based on the novel by Alice Walker, and based on the musical stage play by Marsha Norma. The executive producers Alice Walker, Rebecca Walker, Kristie Macosko Krieger, Carla Gardini, Mara Jacobs, Adam Fell, Courtenay Valenti, Sheila Walcott and Michael Beugg.

Warner Bros. Pictures will distribute the film worldwide and open in North America on Christmas Day.

DJ Envy Gets 50 Cent Involved In Rick Ross Car Show Beef

With both Rick Ross and DJ Envy hosting their individual car shows within the next month, a lot of friendly jabs have been taken on social media on both sides, but now The Breakfast Club co-host has brought a more serious element to the rivalry by adding 50 Cent to the conversation.

After a week of back ad forth between he and Ross, Envy posted a pic of him and Ross’ longtime foe 50 chilling together at a restaurant. Envy then quoted Drake’s “Stay Schemin” as the caption, which read, “It bothers me when the gods get to acting like the broads, Guess every team doesn’t come complete with n-ggas like ours, That’s why I see no need to compete with n-ggas like y’all,” he wrote. “[Queens Get The Money] @bransoncognac @lecheminduroi @50cent #CarShowSeason #BeigeRage.”

Ross started the rift by stating on Drink Champs that Envy was “never on my level” when it comes to car shows. Envy fired back on The Breakfast Club by talking about Ross’ permit issues for his car show slated for June 3 in Georgia.

“My car show in Memphis is still going down at the same venue, same place,” Envy said while promoting his own upcoming car shows. “It is May 28th in Memphis. We’re going to have cars from Young Dolph, 50 Cent, Key Glock and myself…and then Houston, we doing it at the same venue — we not moving — at the NRG Stadium as well. The ‘Drive Your Dreams’ Car Show, Father’s Day weekend.”

The G.O.A.T. and his accomplice Eric B. dropped their third album 33 years ago today

On this date in 1990, DJ Eric B. and Hip Hop’s number one microphone fiend Rakim dropped LP number three entitled Let The Rhythm Hit ‘Em.

One of our most coveted Five Mic classics, Let The Rhythm Hit ‘Em’s production was started by legendary behind the boardsman Paul C, however, because of his untimely passing, the baton was passed to his then young protege, Large Professor. This was the foundation that led to the extensive catalog that Extra P has today, even though neither Large Professor of paul C received credit on the album’s notes.

Songs such as the title track “Let The Rhythm Hit ‘Em” satisfied most of Ra’s lyrical critics, who were still looking for the R to have a repeat performance of their debut album, Paid In Full. Tracks such as “Mahogany” was proof of Rakim’s story telling ability, while “In The Ghetto” reminded his fans and listeners of the origin of his greatness and many other Hip Hop artists like him.

This album is definitely a time capsule piece of the Golden Era and The Source salutes both Eric B. and Rakim for this timeless gem!

Meagan Good Pays Heartfelt Tribute to Her Legendary Godfather Jim Brown

Last week NFL superstar, actor, and civil rights activist Jim Brown passed away. Many paid tribute to the man who broke records, appeared in more than 30 films, and dedicated much of his life to social causes. Actress Meagan Good pays tribute to the man who was her Godfather and mentor with influencing power over her life. Grieving is already difficult but when someone has uplifted a person and family it’s difficult to express those feelings. In her well-written and heart tugging tribute, Meagan speaks of the bond she had with the extraordinary Jim Brown.

I hate posts about death. .. so I’ll make this one about Life .

My Godpop .. my mentor .. my bestfriend .. you changed the trajectory of my Life as a young woman.

You listened .. saw me when I felt unseen.. you gave a tiny black girl a big voice ..and a unapologetic attitude.. Encouraged me to walk boldly to the beat of my own drum. To be humble + of service. Taught me to never to stand by when I see injustice.. encouraged me to be the best and freest actress I could be.. taught me to pursue a positive mindset + a spirit of not complaining- but instead action when things aren’t fair.. Reminded me it’s always bigger than me and to use the platform God has so graciously given me for good.

The pain of never hearing your huge but calm chuckle again is immeasurable .. the grief of never getting to sit with you + have our meeting of the minds .. to be encouraged that my perspective is unique, God-given, authentic and is much needed.
